  4. GM A large young man walked past the group, aggressively pushing his shoulder into Luke's as he forced his way by them. "Watch where you're going, brats." He wore a large duffel bag over his shoulder, but otherwise seemed rather non-descript, quickly disappearing back into the remaining crowds. Not far from there, Bernadette could hear crying. It wouldn't be difficult to find a young boy, about 5 years old, standing by himself, absolutely bawling his eyes out. Maybe he was the missing child mentioned on the PA system?
  5. @Spacefurry: Just so you're clear: Bound and Helpless does not mean defeated. Chimera can still try to break free, and since her arms weren't constrained, that means she could still attack. Are you sure you don't want to attack her? You can perform a coup de grace, if you want.
  6. Yes. Well. Yeah. That's some arcana roll. The tablet clearly refers to your amulet and it's missing gems. While it is not a map to the missing gems, it seems like it might be a map to the maps. The markings on the tablet and the language used seems to be younger than your actual amulet, which means it was most likely written long after the creation of the amulet. It does not seem to be any language you would normally connect with the amulet. Of course, let me know if I overstep anything about the amulet, with those rolls, feel free to come up with any small facts that might fit with what you have in mind for it.
  7. Final math checks out, but there's a few issues with the powers For the Area Effects, I'd suggest picking the Burst Area effect instead of Explosion. It's just better in general and we won't have to worry about decreasing effects. There's no point in choosing Improved Critical to an area effect either, since it only takes effect when you roll dice to attack. You can, at most, take 2 ranks of Improved Critical. You should add that there's an array inside the goggles device, like for the others, so it looks like this. I fixed the formatting a bit, too. Device 1 (Many-Lensed Googles; 5PP container; Flaws: Easy-to-Lose) [3 PP] Array 1.5 (Gadgets; 3PP Array; Feats: Alternate Power 2) [5PP] BP: Super Senses 3 (Extended Vision 3) {3/3} AP: Super Senses 2 (Darkvision) {2/3} AP: Super Senses 3 (Microscopic Vision 3) {3/3} Rest looks good, though I'd suggest making picking up some Skill Mastery skills instead of all those second chances. It'll be rare for you to need it for Craft and Knowledge, for instance.
  8. Just a clarification that I forgot to put in: They're all expected to use powers at a minimum for the survival trip, so no putting up barriers and whatnot to create makeshift shelter unless absolutely necessary.
  9. @angrydurf Lady Liberty: Fixed by lowering Penetrating by 1, to 4 Tactical Teleport Strike fixed by lowering area progression by 2, and fixing the area, which I had way too low, now that I triple checked. Justice Kick: Fixed by removing the drawback that’s not a drawback and lowering Drain to rank 8, remembered to add a Z-Space descriptor to the Drain effect. As I told you on discord, but shared here in case anyone else is curious, nobody told me to take the complication, but I just wanted to be sure that GMs knew that it would be completely fine to say no to any PL power up. @Fox I added a table for defense and saves, and another for the grapple bonuses.
  10. The entire Painted Desert seems to be saturated with magical energies, including the sandstorm. Nothing particularly seems to stand out about the cave.
  11. "I-I'm sorry. R-really didn't need mean to o-offend." James seemed to struggle for a moment, standing up entirely straight by the time Patriot was done correcting him. He put on his hoodie, zipping it and making sure to pull the hood up by the time he found a seat as far back as Patriot would let him, preferably out of reach of Kensei and Patriot. "James is f-fine." He seemed more than nervous with the entire situation, but picked out a donut with white frosting, staring at it while Kensei picked the lie and then said his part. "Did your mom really say that?" He sounded like the couldn't believe it, but he didn't pick it out as the lie, either. The way Kensei said it, it didn't sound like a lie in any way. Of course, now he had to say something. "I, uh, I don't think you're a vegan? You... you don't really seem like you don't eat meat, I guess?" James did not sound sure about his response at all. "I'm, uh, I'm from the future, I don't like chocolate and I like birds?"
  12. GHOST Casper paused for a brief second when someone adressed him. Alright, that was... Grimalkin, right? Former Interceptor or something like that? He didn't think he'd met her before, but she sounded kinda familiar. Then again, the whole Freedom League Aux membership had put him more in the spotlight than ever. "Grimalkin, right?" He tipped his glass to her briefly. "Sure, I like 'em well enough, but y'know, looking around, I kinda feel like somebody thought I was a real ghost or something like that. And I kinda feel like I should've put something more on. But, y'know. Party's a party, right?"
  13. "Oh, almost entirely uneventful. A lot of blue above and below. Went by in a blur." Pan was lying on the bed, wearing a pair of black shorts that reached just below his knees, combined with an emerald green sleeveless t-shirts. He was fiddling with the air in front of him, drawing neon glowing shapes and figures with his fingers. He paused to wave at Eira's parents on the holographic display. "Don't worry! I'm sure this trip will be just as uneventful and nothing exciting and unplanned will happen at all!"
  14. Little Mermaid II Something’s Rotten --- Something was rotten in the state of Denmark. Seriously rotten! As serious as the ghost of King Claudius (who was entirely fictional, by the way, but hey, who’s counting?) having risen to try to take his revenge on Hamlet (also fictional, for the most part) by destroying Kronborg and not caring at all about whoever caught up in all that. Mette threw a wall of water up to stop yet another of the heavy old time cannons being thrown by the ghost before it crushed a man and a young child. Sure, the cannon was damn heavy, but the water pushing back it? Even heavier. “Get out of here, I’ll handle it!” she shouted to the man and the child while she dropped the water barrier, just in time to look up at the ghost. King Claudius looked, for a lack of better words, utterly stereotypical. A giant ghost that floated above the castle, most of his body featureless, but with an impressive royal cape and a large crown. He had a beard, but obviously balding under the crown, but that really didn’t matter right this second, did it. “Hey! Down here! Stop throwing stuff at people!” Mette focused, raised her right hand and let loose a blast of water that passed right through Claudius. Kinda like she had expected to happen. “Look, down here! Woman in green and white, can’t miss me!” For a moment, nothing happened, then Claudius turned towards Mette. He shouted something about who dared, how he would get his rightful revenge on Hamlet, all the usual stuff. Nothing new there. Honestly, Mette had expected something better from a Shakespearan ghost. “You!? You dare to stand against I, the great Claudius? To stand between me and my rightful revenge!?” Just a bit too stereotypical, wasn’t it? “Damn right!” Mette shouted back, shaking a fist in his general direction. Mette had dealt with ghosts before. She knew they were a thing, something that would happen and everything. No good hero could avoid running into ghosts forever, right? Her mentor had run-ins with some before, but why did Claudius show up now? Because of Halloween? That made a little sense, but only just barely. Sure, there was a bit of cultural significance there, but honestly? Not so much in Denmark. Halloween didn’t matter that much, aside from companies selling costumes and candy. Besides, Claudius was entirely fictional. It didn’t make any damn sense that he would be brought back to un-life or whatever when he had never ever really been alive. “Cretin!” Claudius held up a hand, and another cannon went flying for Mette. This time she didn’t dodge it, instead reaching up with both hands and grabbing hold of it. Water didn’t help, but he was a ghost, so cold iron, maybe? And she just happened to be lifting about one and a half tons of cold iron right here. Somebody important would probably be pissed, but she didn’t really care right now. She needed something that could hit that guy, and he had already shown that he could throw them around. “Would you just shut up already?” The Little Mermaid leapt, raising the cannon above her head and slammed it down on the ghost of Claudius’ head, right on top of the crown. The spectral crown caved in, while the ghost was sent to the ground below. It started shrinking rapidly during the fall. Mette pushed, creating a burst of water behind herself to send herself after the ghost, landing next to it. “Yooouuuuu!” Claudius, now barely taller than a normal man, started to rise. And was met with a cannon to the face once again, bringing him down again. “Would you just quit already? You don’t make any sense, man.” Mette lifted the cannon up, holding it resting over her shoulders. “You don’t even make any sense. C’mon, the ghost of Claudius? Claudius wasn’t real, just something that Shakespeare made up for his story. There’s no Hamlet for you to take revenge on or anything. Not like there’s any revenge to be had anyway.” The ghost looked rather more pathetic now, lying on the ground with a bent and broken crown. He looked up, looking much more like a sad old man than a mighty cursed king. “What?” Mette almost wanted to laugh, the way the ghost of Claudius was just sitting there, staring up at her. He was about to rise again, until he saw her moving the cannon into position again. He settled down, deciding it was best not to move again, it seemed. “It… But I am Claudius! King Claudius! The King of Denmark, uncle of Hamlet! I am not just some story!” This again? “You’re not Claudius. Denmark’s never had a King Claudius.” Mette shook her head and shift the heavy cannon a bit. “Who are you? I’m not some kind of ghost expert, but I’m pretty sure that you are a ghost of some kind. You got the crown, the cape, the face, but everything else is kind of blurry.” She started moving around him, while the ghost looked up at him. Mette wasn’t sure just what he seemed to be thinking, but it seemed like she was getting through to him, at least. “So, what’s your deal? You’re a ghost, you’re pretty powerful, you claim to be the ghost of some fictional king, but why? Do you just want to cause trouble or something like that?” The ghost shook, then smiled. “I think… I was an actor.” Seriously? He probably played King Claudius too. “King Claudius was my greatest role, but I died, and I think I forgot myself for a while. Something called me back and I could not remember anything else.” Yep, Mette was right. “Sooo… You’re done, then? No more throwing stuff at people? Because, I still got this big cannon and I’d be more than happy to hit you a few more times if that’s what it takes.” The ghost almost looked scared, then smiled. “Yes. I think I can move on.” As Mette watched, the Ghost slowly faded away. “Great. A crazy ghost, and I guess I’m the one that’s left to clean up this entire mess?”
  15. GM High above Millenium Mall, a golden pirate ship and two flying people broke through the walls of reality in a shower of rainbow sparks. They had been gone for weeks, maybe months. Lulu was standing below, in the middle of the chaos of the defeated Sky-Pirates, police taking care of them. To her, only an hour had passed. As the golden ship broke through the walls of reality, Pan changed. His hair was longer, wilder. His clothes different. His smile was, as ever, just a little too wide.
  16. Forever Boy A swirling rainbow tunnel, whatever harm, whatever changes... it all reverted. They became as they had been before. Physically, at least. Except for the Forever Boy. The pieces of light continued to fall off him, pieces of self left behind as he escaped the story that was laid out for him. As they raced through the endless possibility between worlds, through the Z-Space that laid on an angle to the X-Space and Y-Space. He could see now. It made so much sense. He escaped the story set out for him. He made his own now. The end of the tunnel. Back to Earth. Time for something new.
  17. GM The Painted Desert, Arizona October 4th, 2020 10:00 AM "Sorry kids, grandpa wasn't kidding about this desert being hell during storms." Blue Squad had been told that they would be going on a field trip to Arizona, to the painted desert, to meet up with a Doctor Macedon for a survival class. Leon might have heard about his friends' trip the year before, and how the aging Doctor Macedon had decided to swear off any and all future field trips after yet another trip to the past through the Magic Mesa, but maybe this time would be different? The whole thing had started out pretty well. Doctor Alexandra Macedon had picked Blue Squad up at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport with an off-road van with enough space for the entire crew, their luggage and Danica's ride. It turned out she was the previous doctor Macedon's granddaughter, and she had been more than happy to take up the task of leading another squad on a survival class. They had reached their dropoff point and then proceeded out into the desert. A few hours later, a sandstorm had started kicking up, slowly growing in strength and intensity. "We gotta find shelter! Anybody see anything?" Doctor Macedon's long brown hair was kicking around her in the wind already, while she fought to keep her stetson secure on her head. Up ahead, the group could see a mountain that just so happened to have a cave.
  18. GM "I'm sure that's quite fine, isn't that right, Jerome?" Tesla stared at the young man, her arms crossed. He opened his mouth to object, then closed it again. He shook his head, before taking a step back. "Great! Now, I expect you'll be cleaning all this up Jerome. And remember an off switch next time." Jerome didn't seem to like it, but he accepted it at least. Tesla gave him one last stare, before she turned to the rest of the group. "Now, with that all out of the way... Miss Liddell, Miss Bowles, Mr. Wade? Welcome to Atom Academy. I hope your survive the experience."
  19. "Man, we can't go with Paper and Friends," Charlie shook his head, holding his hands up. "Everybody's just gonna show up with scissors if we do that." At least they were all getting into the idea of making an official team. Kind of like he had seen during that future trip... "Sure, putting young in front of team names seem to be a whole thing, anyway. How's Young Guardians, then?"
  20. GM Bullets were flying the moment the leader called out Raven and Nevermore's location, with the men and women in the streets shouting various obscenities and taunts towards them. A lot of complaining about the sudden darkness, too. They weren't exactly professional hitmen, in fact, they hardly seemed organized or even properly trained. It seemed to be mostly a bunch of random thugs all out to cause trouble under a single commanding voice. Most of them were grouped close together. Probably easy pickings for the Raven.
