  1. This might be my last initiative roll before the rebuild goes through! 1d20+4 = 16! A decent roll to send it off then! Chances are she hasn't got the 'Oh crap' of it being a recognizable super.
  2. Muirne hummed happily as she walked alongside Sebastian. It looked like Luke was coming around to giving him a chance and she knew that they'd get along great. And if Luke gave him another chance then she knew that others like Zach and Charlie would too. She spent the walk in her own head, focused on Luke and Sebastian and how the future was looking. There was a moments hesitation before she stepped into the room, giving Melanie a quick wave. She gave the pair a bright smile as they asked whether or not she'd be joining the super team. "Of course! I'd love to work with you guys."

  5. Muirne watched the figure for a moment, contemplating what to do when Like sauntered up without a care in the world. When had he even gotten ahead of her? With a cocky comment and Tiamat revealing herself at a distance Muirne tensed, expecting a fight or chase to occur when the figure started talking as she watched it flicker between appearances. Her fist clenched around her spear as it insulted them and then Fleur. What should she do? She didn't want to spoil Fleur's attempt at peacefully resolving the situation so she wasn't sure if she should stay hidden just in case it spotted her but at the same time revealing herself would mean that it it decided to be aggressive then there would be no surprises on their side. Muirne frowned in thought before settling in a course of action. It would be best to maintain some advantage even if she showed herself. As such she circled around behind the creature, ready to leap to action at a moments notice.
  6. The Carnifex ex Imaginatio The Carnifex grinned at Rebellion before splaying her hand over where the human heart was, her voice tinged with mock hurt. "Oh, I'm hurt. You'd send me away so cruelly to live upon the streets, hated and feared for my appearance? Have you no heart?" She looked gleefully down at the shadow after her little performance. "Come, tell me how I did. Did your soul weep for the pitiful creature before you? No? I am not surprised. But little shadow, I can help you. I'm fact, if you wanted I could even call other help here. I am sure you have perfectly heroic motivations, it seems everyone but the Ultio Suits do in this town and if so my Dreamer and her fear little wizard friend could offer you aid." The Carnifex looked Rebellion over once more before peering down at the street below. "And if my three for the price of one deal does not strike your fancy, well I cannot sweeten the pot more than that to be frank. I'm a nightmare, not a miracle worker."
  7. Muirne laughed at Luke's comment about his singing skill, shaking her head. "I'd be happy to try, and if nothing else, plenty of songs amount to just shouting in time." She also found her attention drawn to the puppies as Danica unleashed them upon the party. She then back to Luke as he tried to get them to go to the puppies without seeming like he was. Muirne decided to throw him a bone. "Don't worry, if anyone asks, I made you go to the puppies." And with that she dragged Luke by the arm to the adorable little critters.

  9. Shadowborne Muirne looked around the pub, mentally comparing it to the town hall where they would drink and feast on festival days. Overall it was not a favourable comparison although the festive air was certainly familiar. She looked at the man that Erick had brought them to meet and had to admit that he certainly left an impression. Old warriors deserved respect for a reason, wounded or otherwise. Deserving respect or not however she was not going to stand there while he insulted her. She knew that the man wouldn't respect her if she did so, and unlike in Rurland she had the command of English to engage in a flyting1 and still be able to be understood. "This is also not a home for the elderly and yet you are here. Anyone can spout insults, ealda2." The Dreamer The Ultio Suits may have left an unpleasant first impression of the company, but The Dreamer wasn't the sort to ignore someone going missing and even someone with as little experience with the modern world as her had to admit that the situation was weird, and probably going to be unhealthy for poor Sydney. Which is why she found herself looking up at the MarsTech building contemplating how she was going to do this. She was seriously considering just wheeling her way into the building and asking for information but she knew that they probably wouldn't pay attention to her even with her powers, she wasn't an investigator like Blackstaff or a recognizable individual like Justice. So she'd have to find a way to sneak in.
  11. The Dreamer smiled sadly at Advay, as he talked, accepting the advice stoically. Before they left their seats she spoke up. "Given your own honesty I should provide some of my own. I am not called Heir, although I would appreciate it if you continued to call me such while we are around Alaynah and her crew. My actual name is The Dreamer, and my birth name is Adrianna Liddel. I apologize for the deception." With that she made her way back to the ship, pleased to have cleared the air. She held back from glaring at Alaynah, it weighs be unbecoming of her to show ire when she herself now wanted to do the exact same thing as they had. "We get Advay away from Emerald City to safety."
  12. The Dreamer She looked back to Blackstaff as they chatted, not wanting to be rude and look away, even as she worried about what her nightmare might be up to. "The Carnifex is unique in it's way. A number of hyper-lucid Dreamers had permanent, self-aware dream creatures, although there were many who didn't as well. My own family's founder had many, The Mad Hatter, The Dormouse, The Cheshire Cat and more." The Dreamer sighed as she relayed the nature of her powers. "The Carnifex is in a class almost entirely of it's own. It is born of nightmares where almost every other creature akin to it was born of normal dreams. Even Alice's Jabberwocky and the like were more benevolent. Both my family and I spent some time researching to see if anything like it had manifested before. We found one other case and it had ended... Poorly." She grimaced as Blackstaff asked about tracking the monster. "I regret to say that I do not, although I can talk to it at range it is not cooperative quite frequently and may lie simply fit the sake of it." She thought about it for a moment before turning to Blackstaff. "Do you have any spells that would allow us to track it?"
  13. Alice looked between the pair talking about how much one of them sucked, and how he was 'real good, too good' at sucking. Were... were they trying to be subtle? "You know, if you two are together you don't need to hide it. I'm not homophobic or anything." She kept a respectful distance from the lovebirds as she spoke. "I'm not going to spread it around or anything either, I know better than to spread anything that could spoil your secret IDs." She looked between the two again before focusing in as Facsimile talked about what was under the warehouse and switching to business. "How do we want to do this, sneaking in or just take the roof off and go in?" Her flight was silent so she could sneak well enough but hiding wasn't exactly her strong suit given her white costume and bronze breastplate. Then she blinked in surprise at the hero's final line. Was she... intruding on something that she probably shouldn't? She was starting to feel like a bit of a third wheel.
  14. Muirne nervously returned Luke's smile. She wasn't sure why they'd been called in and it was worrying at her in a fairly stressful time. She'd been experimenting with her powers like her future self had advised and while her control had advanced in leaps and bounds she was losing control over her Shadowbeast form, which had always been her fear when it came to her powers. Still, she took a deep breath and stepped into the office, giving Luke an incredulous look as he joked about doing something. She sighed in relief as the Headmistress only said that they were to show someone around. "Of course Síþwíf1 Summers." She bowed slightly as she said this before turning and repeating the gesture to the stranger. "I am Muirne Sceadusangere. As a civilian, provided she remembers to change her clothing, she dresses casually most of the time with little distinct style outside of practicality, tending towards steel toe boots, cargo pants and t-shirts. She excelled in her studies well beyond her age, finding that her true passion lay in Life Sciences, biology, biochemistry, zoology and everything in between. Nothing could stop her from relentlessly absorbing all of the information she could about the natural world and how it worked, and quickly she began experimenting in biological and chemical Supertech, building a lab in her family's basement. She created a net gun that creates its own ammunition and pheromones to calm the mind. She met success frequently causing her to reach further and further until her overconfidence backfired. While mixing chemicals she triggered an explosion, rocking the house and sending herself flying across the room covered in the mixing residues of dozens of experiments. She knew by rights the accident should have killed her but instead she knew it had given her the power of self range biokinesis, complete control over every part of her body. Quickly she focused on pulling herself together to heal her injuries. Her parents found her like that, coming rushing down after the explosion. She quickly reassured them that she would be alright, that she'd gained powers in the accident that would let her survive. Needless to say that after they got over their concern and shock, they were not impressed at her nearly blowing up the family home. They required that she find somewhere safe to perform experiments, preferably with supervision. Enter the Atom Academy. Eveline heard the news that the think tank of super-geniuses was forming and was immediately champing at the bit to sign up, and did so as soon as it was possible under the name Doctor Evolution. Personality & Motivation: Eveline focuses on her passions to an extreme, often pursuing them to the detriment of everything else, including her health. Outside of that, she has a sense of humour and while she will never admit it doesn't mind getting ribbed for being called 'Doctor Evil' or hearing jokes about the time she nearly blew herself up. She wants to help others where possible and tries to make inventions that allow her to do so. Powers & Tactics: Eveline is intelligent and has access to a nearly limitless list of abilities due to her biokinesis and her incredible knowledge of the Life Sciences. From the ability to survive in the harshest climates known to man, expand her sensory abilities and even the ability to fly incredibly long distances or extremely fast for a short and exhausting period of time. One of the primary uses she has for her powers is to modify her body to make it more durable. When it comes to combat she uses an array of abilities from simple claws to clouds of pheromones and bursts of bioluminescent light. Power Descriptions: Eveline’s biokinesis allows her a dizzying variety of powers. As long as she can work out how to do it with her biology she can do it, whether it’s generating electricity or even making a biological jet engine the only limit is whether she can work out a way to do it, for which her super intelligence and incredible skill at the Life Sciences helps. Complications: Hunger strike: Eveline’s powers use a lot of energy as she literally reconfigures her body to perform different activities. This means that she has to eat large quantities of food to keep her body running, despite having tucked away some extra mass to use for this. This issue is compounded by her habit of forgetting to eat as she loses herself in her work. The GM can have her reconfiguring her Variable Biology fail due to having exhausted her stores of energy. She will then be stuck in her previous configuration until she finds enough food to replenish them. Not all Doctors are supervillains!: Doctor Evolution or Doctor Evol for short does not sound like the name of a hero. This can cause issues as people may assume that this ‘Doctor Evil’ is a supervillain and respond accordingly. The GM may have people who hear her name assume she’s a supervillain. Even if she is working with other heroes the assumption may be that it is an ‘enemy of my enemy’ situation. This may cause them to be reticent or downright unhelpful towards her. Oh, look at it! It’s doing a threat display!: Eveline’s fascination with Life Sciences can get her into trouble as she stops to make observations and take notes where she should probably be running away or preparing for a fight. The GM may skip Eveline’s first action in an encounter with interesting or rare creatures as she catalogues the creature’s biology and actions.   16. Right! The Notice check 1d20+12 = 13! She's been struck blind, oh no! Definitely hero pointing that so 1d20+12 = 14! +10 because a 2 is below 10 and that makes 24. With no small amount of trepidation, her Search check is 1d20+10 = 22 and the Stealth check is 1d20+10 = 18.
  17. Muirne had to admit that Fleur's teleportation was far more pleasant than her own imitation of it, but that was probably to be expected given the differences in their powers. She looked at Fleur quizzically before asking, "Do your powers work on other planets or are they limited to Earth?" She'd heard that there was life out there on planets like Earth, and had heard people even talk about making planets inside the solar system habitable. Could Fleur do something similar? Regardless she was getting side-tracked. She tensed as the loud crash sounded through the night. She drew the spearhead from her belt and affixed it to it's stave, but stayed put until Tiamat told them to go forward. Quickly she turned to Luke and tried her best to channel Charlie when it came to giving commands, "I'm better at sneaking so I'll go ahead to investigate, you stay back to give support. Make sure to stay within earshot." She waited a moment for confirmation before turning and quietly approaching the alleyway.
  18. An army of mythical giants has rallied in the South Island of New Zealand, marching from the Southern Alps towards Christchurch, the largest city on the island. The New Zealand Defence Forces have been unable to halt the giants as they were unready to face a sudden magical threat from within. Without other options, the government was forced to put out a call for heroes. @RocketLord has already signed up The Little Mermaid as having a holiday in the country when things went down, I am looking for three more characters of PL10-12. Generally the characters will need to reach New Zealand quickly using movement powers, but it can be said that they went on a holiday.
  19. Shadowborne Muirne focused on breathing steadily after the shadow bolts, letting the boys handle interrogating the gangster. She was glad her Shadow Bolts worked, but that didn't mean that it didn't suck. She listened in as they talked, apprehensive at the idea of possibly fighting forty enemies even if half of them were regular humans. Still, Charlie clearly had a plan and it involved her so she's give it her best shot. She smiled at Luke as he complimented her, "I could say the same about you, Lu- Úhtfloga1." She quickly switched to a different word to avoid spoiling his secret identity, even if it sounded like she'd added an L to a word without one. She turned back to Charlie, "Do you want me to make an area of darkness, or to just make us invisible in the night?" Neither option would stop something from smelling them out of something but she'd assume at least some of the demons could see I'm the dark.
  20. Muirne smiled brightly after the kiss, holding Luke's hand tightly. His teasing comment about being convincing brought a light chuckle from her. "I've found that you can be very convincing." She pulled herself closer to him as he made the comment about Síþwíf1 Summers setting him straight. "I'd like to think it was you, personally. You're a great guy Luke and modesty is nice, but you're allowed to take credit." She looked up quickly at Luke's comment about Sebastian hitting on her, a blush forming across her cheeks when he said he'd understand. "Luke!" She said plaintively, "He was just being nice! Besides, you know you're the only one for me." She leaned into his arm for a moment of quiet before they heard Sebastian calling for her. Quickly she straightened as the boy came into view. "Hey Sebastian!" She grinned at at Luke as the boy apologized, gesturing as if to say 'See? I told you.' She sighed slightly at the return to schoolwork, but she couldn't exactly ignore her schooling. "Sorry Luke, duty calls."   21. The Carnifex ex Imaginatio The Carnifex grinned at this 'Rebellion' as he watched her, lazing there as she observed him back before he ran and leapt away. She had to admit that he had an impressive leap, but it was clear he was slowing down to follow something down on the street. She lay there, idly wondering whether he was following the whelp and his sister or The Dreamer. Either way, she was currently free to do whatever she wanted and didn't see a reason to pursue the shadow. She could just sit here and be... Bored. She finally gets the chance to just go do her own thing and she was bored, and the only entertainment had just leapt away. The nightmare gave a groan before returning to her feet and pursuing Rebellion. She knew where he had been going and it's not like he blended in with the roof. It didn't take her long to catch up to him, landing next to the shadow with as little of a thump as she could manage. She didn't want to spoil this for him otherwise he might leave. "Did you miss me?" She peered down at the crowd below, seeing the Takazumi-gumi below. "Shadowing the noble's pup I see."
  22. Muirne followed Synapse's orders quickly, loping towards the first little pig on too many and too few legs depending on the moment. Shadows writhed as her claws lashed forwards to strike the pig but instead whistled through the air. The pig remained frustratingly Uneviscerated unhurt after her attack. She positioned herself between the pair of monsters and the Vanguard members, knowing that she was significantly harder to hurt due to her insubstantial body and hoping to soak at least some attacks as they didn't seem particularly intelligent.
  23. Okay! Muirne is gonna listen to Synapse and focus on little pigs. Attacking the first little pig 1d20+8 = 16. Which RL confirmed misses.
  24. Muirne choked for a moment on the smoke before it passed from her body. She turned furiously to the man before realising that he had vacated the location. Still, she could feel the light and life that he possessed and tracked onto it with her eyes, spotting the man before she dived through the Shattenwelt again to his location. Her claws raked through the air, but he must have been expecting it this time as she caught nothing but air. A snarl burbled from the depths of her shadows at her evasive opponent.
