  1. Interrogation Room, NYPD Midtown North Precinct 28th August 2020, well after Midnight The young teen thief sat in the room glaring at the mirrored glass, even so she didn’t realize that there was somewhere else in the room until she stepped from the shadows. The older woman walked like a cop even if she reminded Maggie of a Schoolmarm, though she didn’t think the woman would be a pushover in a fight. And she’d fought enough tonight. “So it’s Maggie right? Maggie Què? I’m Ms Summers. How about you tell me what happened tonight?” Maggie sighed she was tempted to keep quiet, but after a few awkward minutes it seemed this Summers woman was just as willful as her mother. So she began to tell the tale of what happened…
  2. Many students were meeting their mentors in classrooms, the auditorium or nearby, the library, or various somewhat-private spots out on the ground, etc, no one had "laid claim" to the Doom Room. Not publicly, anyways; yet, days before the scheduled Mentor Day, the Room had nonetheless been booked for several hours. No names were in the system, just a letter: R. Everyone who cared could intuit what it meant. When young Calliope Summers walked into the room, it was the bare metal and grids of power lines and projector nodes of the actual Doom Room. Gleaming and shining in the too-bright lights. Standing directly in the middle, with his back to her, stood the current Raven. His armored cowl was off of his head and held under one arm, and he was seemingly staring at nothing in particular as she approached. When Callie was about halfway between the door and the Raven, he spoke. Only then would she notice that the observation room's windows were completely darkened and polarized, and Alek had been watching her in the reflection from those windows. "Glad you could make it." He turned around, his cape naturally flowing in a way that other heroes found maddening to replicate, and that Callie knew was thanks to the materials and weight of the multi-purpose "accessory". "So. Today, it's just the two of us. Your father, your older self, Charlie, everyone else, they're busy with other things. Even the alternate of your father; I think he's in the Rookery poking that suit of his." Alek's tone is neutral. He's not one for mind games, but he will occasionally test the younger heroes who work with him. He had already made it clear to Callie, more than once, that he did things the way he did for a reason, and they were always his own reasons. "I feel like, by and large, I have a good sense of your abilities, your skills, and your style of fighting. We get practice on that every week, if not every day. I'm certainly willing to talk about that, if you'd like. But my interest today is more fundamental. Callie..." Only now did he take his cowl and place it on his head. His hands came off of the sides, and even as the tiny armor plates clicked and moved into place, his voice was automatically altered and masked. "Why do we do what we do?"
  3. Lincoln, Freedom City, New Jersey Friday October 1, 2021 (10:23 PM) A cool night breeze blew over the dark empty street corner of a rundown section of Lincoln. Along the block there were a few occupied storefronts, an all-night convenience store, a liquor store and a currently closed pawn shop. But the majority of the storefronts were empty and dark. Above many of the storefronts were low-income apartments, several in equally bad shape as the storefronts. Perched on the third story roof of one of the buildings was a small group of teenagers. Nevermore II had been looking into reports of a local street gang that was causing a considerable amount of trouble for the police. Based on the reports, it sounded as if the gang had gotten ahold of a cache of Foundry tech that had been left behind when Talos had established Rurland. Based on the few reports thus far, it sounded as if the gang had at least a few energy weapons and some personal forcefields among the cache. Of course it was always possible that the gang had access to more Foundry tech. Normally this might have been something Charlie continued to investigate on his own, or perhaps brought Callie in to help as well. But recently Headmistress Summers had been encouraging him to try to include the other members of his intermural team from school in some of his investigations. So, he had brought the other members of Grey Team with him tonight. A couple blocks down the street from where the members of Grey Team were gathered was a dilapidated four story tenement building. Many of the windows of the building were broken out and boarded up and graffiti covered much of the first level exterior. From information Charlie had been able to gather, the gang was using the abandoned building as a base of operations.
  4. Kord Dormitories, Forth Floor Claremont Academy, Freedom City, New Jersey Saturday, September 4, 2021 After a Summer back in her apartment in New York, along with some time at the Summers family home, Callie had already moved back into the dorm. Now she was sat in the common room checking her social feeds, waiting for new and returning students. Apparently older her wanted her to take some more responsibility so had tasked her with being the floor greeter for the new school year. She was giong to do her best, in was in her blood after all, but she wasn’t going to make an effort until absolutely necessary.
  5. GM The Painted Desert, Arizona September 22nd, 2020 14:00 PM Doctor Alexander Macedon stepped out of the van, and into the bright light of the Arizona desert. If his heavy backpack weighed him down in old age, he didn't show. He was an older man, having pushed past 70 some years ago. He would tell anyone that bothered to ask that he was retired, and yet, he was, standing in the Painted Desert once again. Once again, the headmistress had convinced him to take a group of students on a survival class. He could only hope that it went better than the last time. Macedon's hair was thinning and grey, bordering on white. His beard was cut short, barely more than stubble. His left eye was hidden behind an eyepatch, with horn-rimmed glasses resting on the bridge of his nose. He wore khaki pants, a white dress shirt that was already starting to stain from sweat. His boots were heavy, but solid. Dressed for the weather. His well worn cowboy had was held in his hand, lightly fanning his face. He wore a slightly oversized revolver in a holster on the right side of his belt. Turning to the van, he grumbled something, before speaking up. "Alright, hurry up and get out here, kids. We don't want to waste more sunlight than we have to." The students were even younger than the ones in last batch. Fine. He'd deal with that. More of them were just regular people, no powers, just training or tech. He could respect that. He had even allowed them to bring their gear, as long as they carried it themselves. For emergencies, of course. Not just for the regular class. "Rule number one: I give an order, you follow that order. This is a survival class. You're going to learn how to survive if you ever end up in a place like this. No buts, if or maybes. As far as you're concerned, I am in charge."
  6. GM Night February 25th, 2021 Across the rooftops of the Fens Callie had spent a lot of time patrolling Freedom City since being brought to the this time. She had gotten used to this future Freedom, gotten used to this new world she found herself in, where she existed twice at once: The headmistress of Claremont and the time displaced teenager. Things had changed in the poorer parts of the city lately. The Fens, Southside, Kingston... The shadows seemed darker. Ever since Raven and Nevermore had learned that the House of Usher had returned, the Raven Family had found mounting evidence of the Ushers' increasing presence in the city, especially in these areas. Now, she had been patrolling the Fens. It had been largely uneventful when she caught sight of a mugging in progress on the street below, near a street corner. Three men against one hardly seemed fair.
  7. Penthouse Suite, Newmar-Kitt Building, Central Park, Manhattan, New York 9 am Monday 24th August 2020 It had taken fifteen minutes to overcome the various alarms and traps but Callie finally had disarmed all of them, all but one. She hoped that it would be enough to bring her elder self to come see what she was up to this time, her features reflecting against the glass of the Raven suit that both of them had worn before. She wondered if her other self set all this in place to train her abilities, always the teacher at heart as she was now. Today was special for them both as it was her birthday, and whilst spending the night with her father he’d mention how he’d try to surprise her every birthday. Still as sharp as ever she knew that he’d put the idea to do it for her elder, who tended to avoid celebrating now. She knew something bad had happened, though the details were still a little vague, but she wanted to do something to say thanks to the other her. Still she couldn’t do all this on her own, so she’d asked for some help on this day, the firsrt of which would be arriving soon. And even if this didn’t work then at least they could have a party just for her. And you never knew someone might surprise her as well.
  8. Summers Manor, North Bay, Freedom City, New Jersey 18:00 EDT, 6th April 2020 Whilst Callie had mostly stayed at the Penthouse during her visits to Freedom City she had visited the manor a few times to see where her Grandparents had lived, the ones she knew about at least. Still she’s wasn’t quite ready to visit dad yet and since she was in town to visit St Thomas’s, she still wasn’t use to calling it Claremont’s, she figured she’d pop in to check out the old place. Her keys even still worked, or at least they needed much better unpickable locks, and she swing the doors open hand in her leather jacket as she peered into the gloomy hallway. She was taking it all in as if this could be taken away from her at any moments, and after all nothing exciting could be going on here...
  9. April 7th, 11.46AM, 2020 Claremont Academy, Main Quad "...and this is where I leave you, I guess." Det. Janice Renchy had the tired, bleary look of anyone who worked at night who had to be up in the middle of the day. Rubbing at one eye with the heel of her palm, Leon's voucher squinted around the stately, old-fashioned school square. "Dunno how you're not coming out of here with a load of debt. Anyway, I'm sure you'll do great, Leo. Take care of yourself, you got my number if it can do you any good." Smiling a little, she offered the boy a handshake. She looked hard at Leon's face "You're good here?" Unbeknownst to the unlikely duo, there was another new arrival, just out of sight...and very much out of time.
  10. Madame Raven Power Level: 8/12 (180/211PP) Unspent Power Points: 31 Trade-Offs: +2 Attack / -2 Damage In Brief: A time displaced Callie Summer enjoys the 21st Century. Catchphrase: Don’t forget to like and subscribe. Alternate Identity: Calliope “Callie” Sen (Public) or Calliope “Callie” Summers (Secret) Birthplace: Hong Kong Residence: Apartment in New York and the dorms in Claremont Base of Operations: Claremont Academy, Bayview, Freedom City, New Jersey Occupation: Student and Influencer Affiliations: Students of Claremont Family: Doctor Sin (Grandfather), Duncan Summers (Father), Jasmine Sin (Mother), Callie Summers (Possible future self) Description: Age: 16 (DoB: 24st August 1973) Apparent Age: 16 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Asian / European mix Height: 5’7” Weight: 110 lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Black Whilst still having a little baby fat around the face Callie still shows the beauty that she inherited from her mother, though often marred by the scowl she got from her father. At the right angle, she also looks similar to her older duplicate, but not quite the same, like how on movies and television they hire a younger actor they hire to play the child version of the main character but they don't quite look the same. Not that Callie really minds as since her arrival she's made an effort to stand apart from her older self, cutting her hair short rather than the long hair that she's almost always used to wear it. Her clothes and makeup are all of the most fashionable available, but everything is either ethically sourced or from thrift stores. Her costume is a variant on the classic Raven costume, but made up of common available materials, the costume is mostly heavily modified motorcycle leathers with a pair of long lace-up boots. When needed she wears a domino mask, the only think she kept from the original Raven costume. Finally the cloak is a home made traditional cloth cloak with the scalloped feather like design at the bottom. Even her utility belt is a makeshift affair, a little less graceful than the original Raven design. Many of the gadgets insides are from those borrowed from the Raven suit, though she is very capable of making her own. History: Knowing nothing about her past as the granddaughter of the criminal mastermind Doctor Sin Callie grew up a fairly normal life, if one of incredible comfort as her father was one of the richest men in America. She also didn’t know that he was the masked Vigilante Raven, Duncan making sure that she was isolated from this world but also socially aware taking part in many of his many charities. She lived in New York, and experienced all the city had to offer, as well as going to the very exclusive St Thomas Aquinas Academy in Freedom City. On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, where at her party she’d learn that she was the daughter of Raven and granddaughter of Dr Sin, she was suddenly awoken by a strange woman in her apartment who was dressed in strange clothes that no one in ‘89 would dress. Her nanny / bodyguard Winnie Napier tried to stop the woman but in the struggle there was a flash of light and the pair found themselves in 2020, with the strange time traveller being nowhere to be found. The two quickly determined that they had somehow been transported thirty years into the future. As her older self wasn’t around Callie and her guardian took up residence whilst they decided what to do, as was the habit of her father the place was well enough stocked to keep then supplied for weeks. Whilst learning about the world through television and, eventually, computers and the internet. Staying inside for now Callie began to notice something odd about the dimensions of the apartment. Whilst her father hadn’t told her his secret, he had made sure to teach her the skills to be able to analyse the world around her, as well as self defence, along side the regular education. These skills allowed her to find where her future self had kept a spare version of the costume, even though she had given up the mantle a few years ago, and it didn’t take much to figure out that someone who lived here was the hero Raven (though she hadn’t figured out it was the future her). She couldn’t help but try on the costume and going a little stir crazy going out and about in New York city, and one thing led to another and she ended up stopping a mugging. That was it and she was hooked going out most nights to fight crime whilst she spend day, mostly afternoons, getting up to speed with modern culture. Becoming fascinated with social media she began to post blogs and video’s in character as Madame Raven. Her senior version had already began to suspect something was going on before Callie began posting on the internet and she quickly worked out where Callie and Winnie had been staying. And then with a quick trip from Freedom City to New York the Callie’s finally met each other. Both being as strong willed as each other the meeting didn’t go well but the younger Callie saw the wisdom in enlisting the aid of the adult herself. All travelling back to Freedom City the older Callie with the assistance of her father and the League determined that this was a younger version of herself and that it appeared to be her from the past, though the timeline didn’t appear to have changed. This was perplexing and they decided it was best to keep the younger Callie here whilst they figured out what as the truth, meanwhile they’d need to do something with the younger Callie whilst they investigated further. So it was decided, not that the younger Callie had a choice in the matter, that she would again attend Claremont and learn alongside other teen heroes. But she was strictly forbidden from going out heroing, though Callie had other ideas on this matter... Personality & Motivation: Whilst Callie tries to play it cool she genuinely enjoys being a hero, and being in the future, leading to her sometimes getting a little over enthusiastic. A cheerful upbeat eternal optimist she all tries to see the bright side of any situation and to encourage others to carry on despite the bleakness of the situation. A people person Callie enjoys the company of others, though she respects others boundaries, more than happy to keep up both sides of the conversation. With the natural charm of her mother she finds it easy to get on with most people, with only her own future self being hard to reach for many reasons. Powers & Tactics: Having now powers Madame Raven has to work hard to gain any advantage in a situation. Often that means improvising by using whatever is at hand to achieve that goal. She has a few gadgets which she uses often in a crisis, having studied other raven using these weapons in many situation. Whilst she has no formal training she has inherited a quite tactical mind that she can use to her advantage, though she often suffers from either her inexperience or overconfidence. Power Descriptions: Callie is a peak human with no powers, mostly through hours of exercise and education that her father had encouraged her to do. Her brief time as a hero as well as her further education at Claremont has increased her abilities to among the best a human can achieve at her age. Complications: A congress of Ravens: her future self is the Headmistress of the school and as such tries to interfere in Callie’s life, even if she tries to be subtle. This often places Callie in situations she really doesn’t want to be in. A conspiracy of Ravens: Someone bought her into the future, potentially breaking the timeline, who and why are unknown. She may occasional suffer weird temporal effects at the most inopportune of moments. An aerie of Ravens: Whilst she more or less acclimated to the 21st century this isn’t her home time and sometime she feels lost in a world isn’t her own. She hides it mostly but someone in the know could trigger her homesickness. A murder of Ravens: Over the years the Raven has gained a number of enemies overs the years, both her father and (future) self. A storytelling of Ravens: Being a fervent blogger and you-tuber much of Madame Ravens superhero life is well documented, something that a villain can use to counter an attack or gain an advantage on her. Unkindness of Ravens: Though she hides it well Callie has a certain amount of uncertainty, having been a hero for less than a years. Someone playing on those insecurities could effect her efficiency in a conflict.
