  1. @RocketLord@Nerdzul GM Saturday the 20th of February, 2021 Supernatural goings on were not uncommon in Freedom City, and neither were gangs. The combination was a bit more rare though, especially when the supernatural goings were demons fighting alongside gangsters. With their fiendish assistance the Cardinal Rats rapidly pushed the other gangs out, driving them off of their ground by bullet and by claw. It didn't take long to draw attention from outside. As one of the latest in a line of Ravens, Charlie kept his ears to the ground, making it hardly surprising when he heard of the situation in Southside. For Luke Landers the matter was brought to his attention via a more personal avenue as earlier that day one of his old friends had called him about this new gang running them off their turf backed up by shrieking fiends. As these thugs and their demonic posse ran amok in the neighbourhood the question was simple. What were the heroes going to do about it?
  2. Alice rolled her eyes as Archer ignored her and shot at Billy to no effect. She didn't want the shooter to get away, but she also wasn't the one best suited to going after him and taking him out. It would be like a bull in a china shop if the shop was also made of glass. She hardly wanted to knock the school down. She could keep Billy locked down though, freeing Archer to shoot the dude as he ran away. She flew forwards, wrapping her arms around him regardless of his attempts to break free. Maybe she could just sit on him to keep him pinned?
  3. Alice is gonna grapple Billy. All-Out-Attack so 1d20+7 = 26! Why couldn't I roll a 19 against one of the guys it was hard to hit!? 1d20+21 = 31. Man I wish those rolls were flipped, still hopefully that's a bit much for him to escape from although I get a feeling like I'm being optimistic.
  4. Muirne smiled as Elena and Danica fawned over the small pink robot. It was certainly cute, and it was nice to see Elena be so comfortable after her previous distress. Her attention was quickly drawn back to Luke as she thought about him saying that the 'free hugs' were not a one time thing. She ducked her head to hide her rising blush as she thought about it, missing most of the conversation about the small robot. She did chime in to listen about the person Eira wanted to cry and Pan thought would be fun to 'put in his place'. It didn't take much for her to know that 'mind tricks' was a euphemism for mind control, which made her grimace as she thought of how Dougal had operated. She was perfectly able to understand why Eira had wanted him to cry in that case. She wouldn't have minded seeing Dougal cry either. Putting it out of her mind she instead focused on Luke turning to her and asking if she wanted to dance, a question that set her blushing again. "Eaw forþearlíce1." She said as evenly as she could. Dancing she could do, she'd danced plenty of times in her village, although she knew there were... Differences between the dances she knew and what she had seen in this modern day. Regardless, she was sure she could pick it up well enough, and extended her hand to him with a smile. "I would love to, Luke." Her smile took a slightly devious as she followed it up quietly saying "Ic hop þéos sy ne eallriht sum ænlic tóweardness bédan eac2." 1 Oh absolutely 2 I hope this is not just a one time offer too
  5. Alice felt the blood run from her face when Billy turned up looking like he did and talked about 'dealing with' her civilian self. Obviously he'd have already done it if he beat her but her parents would be in danger. Corkscrewing through the air she threw all her weight behind the punch at her erstwhile schoolmate. Her fist collided with his head as she snarled, this bastard was not threatening anyone else in front of her! "Listen kid. Stay down or else. There's no version of this where you win, and you and your discount SWAT team are wearing on my last nerve. Threatening civilians isn't winning you any favours either." She turned to the Moore era hero she was fighting beside. "Archer, I'll handle him if he gets up again if you focus on the other two." She quickly returned to facing the super drugged school kid. She wasn't taking chances.
  6. Thanks for clearing that up Fox, I fixed it so everything should be above board now.
  7. Alice is gonna turn and swing at Billy. Obviously gonna All-Out-Attack to a max. 1d20+7 = 17 I don't know if that hits, but I hope so since I finally rolled double digits on the dice at least.
  8. IT IS READY! WOOOOOOOO! I redid like the entire powers section to be Fox-compliant, although I am really unsure what he meant about the array of devices thing, especially since there is a section in the Modifiers and Power Structures house rules about Devices with Arrays on them with the Multiple Weapons feat which is what I used before. In this case, since I am no longer using it for the Electrothermal Cannon and instead have two modes rather than two devices should I change it so that the Alternate Power is attached to the damage power?
  9. Muirne smiled slightly at the interaction between Micah and Judy. It was sweet to see them compliment each other even if they were a bit awkward. She gave Eira a small wave as she arrived, having missed her previous outfit. "You look great Eira! It's been a bit since we saw each other, how have you been?" She let herself fade back from the interactions for a little bit not wanting to be at the centre of attention when Luke sauntered up dressed in his odd getup. It took a lot of effort not to laugh as she took in the tie as a headband. "Eálá mín godscipe! Hwá sy hé weriende1?" She did chuckle as he burst into the conversation with his exclamation about the fight with the Omegadrones and started greeting everyone. His own faux pas was swept under the rug as she blushed at the complement. "Thanks Luke, you look... dashing." She grinned slightly as people claimed the free hugs his shirt advertised. She laughed as he joked about being unable to tie ties. "Here, I learned how to tie one." She had to reach up to grab it off his head, before tying it around his neck after a few false starts. "There, hope that's not too tight! Maybe I can show you how at some point. You look nice with a bit of cleaning up, even if the tie is a bit odd with the rest of the outfit." She smiled up at him for a moment before muttering "Gewif árra sé beale.2" and hugging the dragon boy. Louder and in English she said. "Might as well take one while they're free, no?" After her brief hug with Luke she went back to listening into the conversation. It took some effort to not go after Elena as she excused herself. She knew what it was like to be in an unfamiliar world with no one you knew, and resolved to take her up on the offer of lunch at some point. Shifting away from the girl with the group she smiled as the others talked, although her curiosity was piqued at the conversation with Luke about someone called Casanova. She hadn't heard of him, but assumed he was sufficiently awful for Eira to want to hear about him crying. As such she wasn't ready for the outburst surrounding the small pink robot, jumping in fright. It took a moment to keep the shadows inside from swarming out from her. Realizing the source of the commotion and seeing Danica's own reaction to the robot she giggled, turning to the others. "Not sure if I'll ever get used to the happenings around the school. Keeps you on your toes at least, no?" 1 Oh my goodness! What is he wearing? 2 Fortune favours the bold.
  10. Muirne wore a high necked maroon dress, with short flutter sleeves and a skirt that ended around her knees, with some short heels in the same colour. Entering into the brightly lit lit gym she looked around in wonder at the many decorations. She smiled as she saw Elena and Danica talking to Pan. She figured she should probably reintroduce herself as Elena had only seen her in her shadowbeast form. Approaching the group she smiled brightly. "Hey everyone! The decorations are lovely Danica, you must be so proud." Turning to Eleba her grin turned a little sheepish. "I'm Muirne. We met the other day but you probably don't recognize me since I was a shadowbeast the whole time. Have you been settling in well?" She just gave Pan a smile and a wave, feeling a little embarrassed about not having read the book about him that people had mentioned despite owning a copy now.
  11. No one is gonna begrudge you studying. Real life comes first.
  12. Muirne shrugged at Elena's failure at modern jargon. She wasn't exactly much better herself when it came to technology. The shadows which composed her slowly writhed faster as she grew nervous under the girl's eyes until her question released the tension. "I transform into this shape, normally I am a human. It's an ability I've since I was a child." She chuckled quietly as Leon blamed the power going out on the Omegadrones, the sound coming out as a hiss. As Elena requested food, she looked mournfully at the remains of her burger where it was dropped on the ground, she hadn't gotten to eat any of it. She followed Danica's urging as she herded the group towards Claremont, turning to Elena once Armstrong was out of earshot. "Perhaps when we find a way to your world we can assist in forcing Omega's forces from your world. It has been done here before."
  13. Muirne would have smiled at Luke asking if she was alright had she the ability to, but instead just performed a nod-like motion. Turning to the focus of the group she observed the interaction silently. She knew she was unsettling in her Shadowbeast form, and she didn't want to cause this stranger distress. Still, at her question about crossing worlds she spoke up. "I am sure that there is a hero somewhere who could return you to your world, but I don't know of any myself. Perhaps one of the staff at Claremont could help. Otherwise many of the students know outside heroes. The world is a very connected place." She finished a few moments before the coach arrived. "Mælan sylfum þá Deofol ond hé wyllan oþíewan1..." Muirne muttered as he panted. "Danica is telling the truth, they exploded upon defeat, which is why there is so little left. 1Speak of the Devil and he will appear
  14. Right, crap. I'm assuming Blackstaff is using Sense Motive and I should do the same 1d20+4 = 10, I only just make it!
  15. The Dreamer doesn't even blink at the transformation, and instead mirrored Blackstaff's attempt at comforting the Naga. "Based on what you have said, if the magic was at fault for Yatin's behaviour then there was now way you could have known and no true way to have protected yourselves. I know all to well that some powerful magics have unintended side effects that can be dangerous to those around you. Sometimes the best we can do is learn from what happened and be thankful that we are safe." She met Blackstaff's eyes across the table, nodding. in agreement. "I will admit to having less experience with such things, but his advice seems sound. Whatever course of action you choose I am willing to support you within reason."
  16. I can't match that, but if SF wants to try I'll aid him.
  17. Alice didn't want this guy shooting again but also wanted one of them awake to question afterwards, although she was worried as to what an Iron Age hero like Archer considered 'questioning'. Instead of her standard of trying to clobber the man she decided to instead try and grab him. She knew that once she clamped her hands around someone there wasn't much they could do, but it was easier said than done as she grabbed fistfuls of air instead of the assailant.
  18. Alice is gonna try and grapple Attacker 4, all-out-attacking as per usual. 1d20+7 = 14! I couldn't grab the guy if he wanted me to!
  19. Muirne is keeping an eye out for the falling glass (Notice I think, will wait for a call to roll) and if there's any she sees coming for her she'll activate her Shadowbeast form since it's a free action.
  20. Muirne ducked as she heard the shattering, quickly glancing up to see the falling glass before the other two sprang into action. She watched for a moment as Klara took charge of the crowd and Mette went to the old man clutching his chest. The man who started running away looked like he needed help, the others were busy and she could change to her shadow form to protect herself from the glass. She sprinted after the man calling out as she got close, "Hey, you need to get under cover, it's not safe!"
  21. Well, she's a bit busy riding a dragon and they aren't in poking distance, so she'll just miss this turn.
