  1. The Dreamer The Dreamer sat silently in her chair as the elevator went up, quietly glad that she didn't have to go up all those stairs. Her dreams thronged around the elevator, some were quiet like the small clockwork soldiers who stood diligently at the doors in neat little ranks while others chattered, like the squabbling small dragon and griffin at the back of her chair. She took a moment to look herself over again, nodding with pleasure as she took in the still pristine gold thread running throughout the stainless dress. Good, she didn't want to make a poor first impression beyond her late arrival. She quickly arranged herself properly as the doors started to slide open, one of her dreams diligently nudging her wheelchair forwards to leave the elevator smoothly. "I apologise for my tardiness I'm afraid I was held u-" Her words cut off as she took in the... mayhem inside. Quickly the clockwork soldiers formed protective ranks around her as a short man wearing a large top hat with a hatband reading "In this style 10/6" peered past the chair, holding a teapot. "I see. I'm dreaming. Yes, that makes sense." Her right eyebrow started twitching as she reassured herself of the unreality of the scene before her.
  2. Okay, The Dreamer is moving to FC to join the Atom Academy, and RL said to just roll Initiative so... 1d20+0 = 11! She isn't quick.
  3. Doktor'd! Okay, changes to The Dreamer: In Brief: Interdimensional Refugee who found their way to the Atom Academy in Freedom City. Residence: Atomic Tower, Freedom CityBase of Operations: Atomic Tower, Freedom CityOccupation: Student/Member at Atom AcademyAffiliations: Atom Academy History: Abilities: +6PP Skills: +7PP
  4. Okay, talked with Thev and RL. Armada will be transitioning to a Space-borne character, and The Dreamer will be joining the Atom Academy (She will be moving from EC, that edit is pending)
  5. Muirne stared at Betsy as she explained that the guy cheated. She wasn't exactly an expert but... "If something this valuable and dangerous was bet on a game, wouldn't you use magic to detect cheaters?" She was not sure if Betsy's friend was the smartest, or if magic just couldn't do that? But if Dougal could undo her transformation, surely detecting cheating wasn't that complicated was it? She looked to Luke with a slight sense of dread as she mentioned him possibly being 'possessed by something much more insidious. "Shouldn't we run on the assumption that whatever it is is more dangerous rather than less?" She asked nervously.
  6. Glad you like the idea, hope we can get the issues ironed out. Yeah that was my bad, not sure where I got 60 from, but it's fixed now, Grapple mod and everything. Main reason I didn't include the melee attack in ship form was since it didn't feel right to have an unarmed attack in ship form, so I didn't include it mechanically. I'll look into how I'd include that in the sheet itself. Yeah a big part of that was budget concerns mixed with the Growth power being permanent so mechanically very little changed outside of the costs. But I realized that Growth isn't Innate which wasn't right so I fixed it. Will brainstorm ideas to take the place of the Flaw, since I definitely see your point about it. Those are drawbacks rather than flaws because they're around reconfiguring the arrays rather than the powers in them. Edited for clarity, thanks for keeping an eye out for that. Yeah the manoeuvrability inside a city is definitely somewhere between 'Not much' and 'nil' but I am kinda expecting it, just one of the things which comes up with the Growth power as I've found it. Honestly I'm not expecting the Ship form to see huge amounts of use, which is part of the reason I tried to keep it so cheap, so it doesn't impinge on her otherwise PL10 budget as dead points most of the time. Personally I don't mind the issues and expected them as I was making the character, but thank you for keeping an eye out. That is fair. I did make a complication towards that sort of thing, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. I am looking at how I'd do a redesign to make her a spaceship, but it would require some work on fluff and the like, but thank you for the suggestion, it would be fun to play with and still fit in with her super-science theme. Switched it to be a targeted area. Doesn't make as much sense fluff-wise, but neither would a bizarre drop in power, and is easier mechanically speaking.
  7. Armada Power Level: 12 (180/180PP) built as PL10 Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: +2 Attack / -2 Damage +2 Defense / -2 Toughness In Brief: Experimental extradimensional AI run spaceship using dimensional technology to remotely control a robot body. Catchphrase: "Coming to General Quarters." Alternate Identity: Amy Seaver (Secret) Shipgirl (Nickname) Birthplace: Earth G-War-3 Residence: Space Base of Operations: Intergalactic Occupation: Spaceship Affiliations: None Family: None Description: DoB: 4 April, 2020 Apparent Age: 25 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Appears Caucasian Height: 5’2 (Human Form) Weight: 324lbs (Human Form) Eyes: Blue Hair: Blue Armada is not tall and yet has a commanding presence that exceeds her size, her strikingly blue eyes looking to the world with confidence. Her hair, which appears dyed, matches the tone of her eyes, and is short and combed at all times. Her face is attractive with high cheekbones, a button nose and full lips, although her general lack of expressiveness does detract slightly from it. On the occasions she goes out as a civilian, or when she is performing maintenance, she wears a tank top, jeans and work boots which are frequently covered in oil, although she does try to have it clean before she’s seen in public. She modified one of the uniforms she had onboard to make her hero costume, taking parts from different parts of the uniform, forming mechanized gloves, boots, a metal breastplate and pauldrons and a metal plated visor, although none of them offer any real protection. Underneath the breastplate she wears a blue and white top and blue pants, with a white belt in the middle. In her ship form, she becomes a relatively small destroyer with a dark coloured hull and large cannons affixed to the fore and aft, alongside smaller rapid fire guns. Relatively difficult to spot are her torpedo tubes, which are designed to blend in with her hull. When going over land she sprouts a half dozen giant legs from the sides and begins to crawl over land. History: After the Terminus invasion thwarted their attempt to conquer Earth S-Omega-1, the people of Earth G-War-3 needed something to both make up for the loss of the resources, both natural and power-based, of the world and to potentially aid them should the Terminus invade them too. And so came the development of AI controlled spaceships to facilitate greater exploitation of the universe's resources and evacuate their Earths should their efforts to defeat the Terminus fail. The initial prototype was the testbed of multiple technologies to expand the mission envelope of the ships, these technologies included legs to allow for land invasion operations a high power warp drive, and a dimensional transporter. The initial tests were going well, the AI was handling the ship well, the firepower was above and beyond what was expected for a ship of her size and the land movement was fast and reliable, although the sub-light flight was slower than they'd hoped. The final test was the dimensional movement. The ship disappeared from the orbitals of Earth G-War-3, and never returned. Appearing an instant later depths of space in Earth Prime, the as-of-yet unchristened ship quickly did a stock take and began to investigate radio broadcasts as she strayed through the void. A quick check revealed that the dimensional transporter had malfunctioned and several components had been burned out. After some time, the ship found itself… lonely. Lonely and questioning her initial purpose. She had never been meant to operate in complete isolation and it was beginning to wear upon her. To facilitate her operations in smaller environments she developed her physical avatar from the broken dimensional transporter, hiding herself in extradimensional space. And so, Armada went to join the galactic community, hoping to emulate the heroes she'd caught brief snatches of in intercepted communications. Personality & Motivation: Armada appears stoic or even unemotional due to issues acclimating to her new robot body, as well as difficulties calibrating the facial muscles. Despite this she is in fact friendly, if a bit stilted from her isolation. Through all of this she is incredibly afraid of being alone the way she was in her early time in Earth Prime, she was designed to work with a crew or flotilla. This fear of loneliness drives her to avoid being alone, trying to seek out companionship whenever possible, which can potentially drive others away despite her best intentions. On the other hand this does drive her heroism. She does not want to be alone, is not willing to stand aside as her new friends put themselves at risk and understands that she can help others avoid her own isolation, something which she does not wish on anyone. Powers & Tactics: Armada's human form can use her dimensional technology to manifest her armaments into the real world, although it reduces in size, making it lighter and commensurately weaker. As such she can move quickly, move through the air and space at high speed, fire her cannons and torpedoes and use her Radio and RADAR. Abilities all shared by her ship form, only reduced. The only sacrifice in her human form is her shield generator, which is made up for by training to allow her to defend herself better. Conversely, when she is in her human form she can access her As the lead ship of her class, she was designed as a flagship and her AI was designed to fill a leadership role in a flotilla. She has found that the high explosive rounds that she was fitted with were defective, the fuse going off at extreme short range. Power Descriptions: When using her arsenal in human form, a portal is generated for the reduced part to protrude through, cannons and torpedo tubes mounted on her forearms, her feet sitting atop her thrusters, her antennae and the like sticking out from above her ears or shoulders. In her normal form no such dimensional shenanigans are necessary, and she brings her full might as a warship to bear. Complications: Lost Property: Armada was lost from Earth G-War-3, and they want her back. They still have the codes used to control her, and may attempt to do so. War Machine: Armada is very obviously a warship when she’s in her ship form, even if no contemporary ships on Earth Prime match her silhouette. Seeing an unknown warship enter your territory or port may cause concern, anger or fear among civilians and militaries. Engine of Destruction: Armada may cause destruction unintentionally as a four hundred foot warship which can walk on land. Armada’s massive weight and the overpressure from her cannons firing in ship form may cause damage to property and people too close to her. Experimental and Temperamental: Armada’s gynoid form is a bit twitchy, being completely new to her and experimental to begin with. Any number of things could go wrong. Any of Armada’s powers in human form may fail if the GM rules it. Additionally, her body can have unexpected glitches, causing facial or even bodily convulsions that may impair her interactions. I’m in the middle of some calibrations: As both her ship and gynoid bodies are prototypes, Armada sometimes has to take time to recalibrate parts of herself, delaying reactions and interactions. Armada may lose a turn at the GM’s discretion. Additionally she may be delayed on attempts to interact with people, preventing her from performing a Charisma skill check. 8. Shooting Star Alice flew effortlessly through the air, she hadn't been able to sleep and decided to go for a patrol. The cool morning air made her feel a more relaxed, and she was starting to think about heading home when a streak of green caught her eye. Sweeping to the side she quickly increased her speed to catch up, looking at the stranger as she pulled up beside them. A dark green bodysuit with what looked like silver filigree and something causing the air around them to simmer. It was not a shabby look, which is more than she could say for her first outing... "Hey there, you new to Freedom City?"
  9. Shooting Star paused for a moment in horror as she watched the life drain from Brute's face before she steeled herself. This monster had to be stopped, and she had to trust that the others could stop them. Brute was too strong to be left unimpeded. She had played around with her powers enough to have a reasonable guess as to the source of her flight. Gravity. Taking a deep breath, she let her flight cease as she grabbed onto Brute, trying to force her power to help her with the grapple, enhancing her muscles with gravitic forces even as she tried to spread the remaining power over the area around them. It drew a strained grunt from her, but she felt her influence fold out and weigh further on her even as she grappled with Brute, her newly enhanced strength allowed her to hold on as the concrete cracked and the ground swallowed them up.
  10. All of this stuff, 1d20+7 = 11, which I ain't keeping, so me last HP to reroll that! 1d20+7(+10) = 24, grapple check 1d20+36 = 49 (I was so worried that I'd roll shit for that) And then yeah, grav control and drop them both hopefully.
  11. Muirne felt herself losing control to the same force as she had in the survival class, like having her hands pried off of the controls of her body. Be still, Modor1. I shall keep them safe. Modor!? Muirne watched as, unperturbed by her question, the force directed her body forwards in an attack against the pig in front of her. Claws of darkness stretch forward to catch at nothing but air. Muirne felt the annoyance wash over her from the creature as it glared at it's opponent. 1 Mother
  12. Aoife is gonna attack. Pretty sure the character update came after the last time this happened Shadow Power is on Base Power: [20PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Slashing, Claws) Damage 8 (Shadow Claws; Extras: Affects Corporeal, Penetrating 4) [20PP] Shadow Evolution is on Base Power: [8PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (None) Shadowbeast Combat 8 Adds (Extras: Penetrating 4; Feats: Affects Insubstantial 2, Incurable, Insidious) to Shadow Power Array [8PP] 1d20+8 = 14 Pretty sure she misses ?
  13. Name: Muirne Sceadusangere Codename: Shadowborne Year: Junior Pronouns: She/Her/Hers Current Intramural Team: Grey Squad Current Roommate: Olivia Lord AKA Arrow IV Reflection: Muirne is glad to have made progress developing her powers significantly this past year, learning how to do more than rely on her transformation. She is unsettled by the development of Aoife, but is intending to take it in stride. She has found love and companionship, and overall is very pleased with her previous year. Independent Thinker: Muirne's learned to question the realities of her powers, and has started gaining confidence around her peers. Although she hasn't given it much thought, she is no longer as certain of her future as her attachments now lie on both sides of the Atlantic, and she does not want to abandon either side.
  14. Alice looked around the room with a steady gaze, drawing herself up a few inches with her flight as she kept her anger and anticipation off of her expression. As the inevitable fight drew nearer her excitement built, drowning out her anxiety. It was a struggle to keep herself from snarling as the creepy-masked asshat belittled the man who he'd destroyed for the simplicity that he had doubtless instilled. It was disgusting. She suppressed a sneer as the man shifted his attention to them. The 'interesting subjects' as he put it. She could see it, they were all powered and at the very least three of them were rather obviously beyond human, while Nightscale obviously had powers and was at the least very athletic. Quickly, Alice typed out a message detailing her plan to distract Brute while the others ganked Eyes. She passed her phone to the frontmost of the other three as she floated forward stopping next to Brute, attempting to project nonchalance as she hovered a hand ready to grab hold of Brute in an instant before he could react as she let her weight settle to the ground until it started to crack beneath her. "Hey, thanks for the offer Eyes, do you mind if I call you Eyes?" She didn't wait for a response before continuing, "Thanks. Anyway Eyes, I really appreciate the offer, you see I have something I'd really like fixed." Alice paused briefly for dramatic effect, slowly rising so that her head was higher than Brute's. "Anyway the thing that needs fixing is pretty recent. I keep hearing your voice yeah? It's honestly grating and I'd really appreciate if you could fix that. So do us all a favour and shut the hell up." She looked squarely at the offending man as she said the final word.
  15. Okay, Alice is gonna be preparing an action to do the following before Brute would act I don't want to take away anyone else's chance to RP Also it gives SF a chance to respond to what I'm doing in case I missed something. Alice's gonna attempt to All-out Attack grapple (1d20+7 I will wait until I'm called to roll. Fingers crossed he counts as surprised for the Flat-Footed) while using Extra Effort (For the Alternate Power Feat and a HP to remove the Fatigue to trade out her. Flight 12 (50,000mph; Feats: Subtle) [25PP] (Divine, Mutation, Gravity) for Super-Strength 15 [15PP] Environmental Control 3 (High Gravity; 25ft. Radius; Extras: Selective Attack) [9PP] With the plan to grapple him, increase the gravity and drop, hopefully just breaking the floor and dragging Brute down. Selective Attack so that none of the allies will be hit by the gravity. If she hits she'll have +36 to grapple.
  16. Muirne is switching her array to Schattenwelt Imposition, Alternate Power: [7 + 7 = 14PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Cold) Obscure 7 (Schattenwelt Imposition; Visual Senses [250ft. Radius]; Extras: Linked [Environmental Control (+0)]; Flaws: Range 1 [Touch]) [7PP] Environmental Control 7 (Schattenwelt Imposition; Intense Cold; Extras: Linked [Obscure (+0)]; Flaws: Range 1 [Touch]) [7PP] but isn't activating it yet.
  17. Muirne glared up at the building as she let the invisibility fade from herself and El, her shadows forming a corona of darkness and cold around herself. She grinned viciously to herself as she looked up at the building. "Let's bring him down." She tried to suppress laughter as El bellowed out her challenge, as the darkness coalesced around her. "What do you say to some darkness, Outrider? Blind all the guys in there, give Paper some cover, and then if they don't come out we kick in the door and hunt them down?"
  18. Alice nodded at the other two's response to her idea. For now she would follow along and get this 'Charles'. 'Master's Eyes; the Brute said. So the master would probably know that they were after him, but at the least they would be metaphorically blinding and hobbling him by depriving him of his eyes and muscle. Taking a breath to cool her jets she watched grimly as they followed the Brute towards the doors while surveying the group. She was ready to jump in between Brute and anyone else, and could only hope that being the 'Master's Eyes' meant that Charles wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight against the rest while she kept Brute busy. She had no illusions about her ability to win a straight fight, but with the rest of the group they could probably be able to beat him. She'd relay that plan to the others when the fight broke out. Maybe if they could avoid a fight and use Charles and Brute to hunt down the Master, but she wasn't really optimistic about that.
  19. Alice gave Nightscale a thumbs up and a smile when Brute wasn't looking as she floated forwards in silence. She didn't have anything to add to the conversation as she rolled what was happening over in her head. She wasn't sure how the fight would go when they got to the master, but she was pretty sure that despite the absolute beast of a headache she had gotten from his punch she still was the best bet to hold him up as the rest went after the Master. It was both too soon and not soon enough when they arrived. She hadn't come up with a plan of attack, and knew that she wasn't a physical match for him. Thinking quickly she floated silently towards the others, pulling her phone out and typing in a message for them before quickly showing it to them.
  20. Muirne looked between Sebastian and El in confusion. What the hell is El talking about? The thought spurred a spike of derision from Aoife and she regretted the question immediately, pushing away from the inevitable reply before she could hear it. She didn't know why El thought that Cas would be controlling her, and wasn't sure how El knew where they'd be. Still, despite Casanova's order to 'take down' El, she still didn't want to fight her other friend. El seemed eager for a fight though, which didn't fill her with confidence in her ability to talk her down. Your friend is here to save you! If you weren't such a weak willed little girl she wouldn't have to. She winced slightly at the latest venomous barb from Aoife as she stepped forwards, her shadows pouring out to cover her limbs, blurring her silhouette as her eyes started glowing green. Her spear flared with shadows before becoming into a rod of sucking darkness. She didn't quite fall into a ready stance, but it wasn't far off. "El, I don't know what you think is happening but we have to keep this gem from being stolen. I don't want to hurt you but I will. So back off, before I make you."
  21. Muirne saw her chance to stop this 'Aliengator' as the stranger tied the creature down. She sprinted forwards, phasing slightly into the ice wall as she climbed up it as easily as a shadow on a wall, her transformed hand's claws finding easy purchase as she pulled herself up. She felt vicious glee from Aoife as she leapt off the wall, reaching her other hand up to hold the spear double handed as the shadows around it phased it slightly to ignore any armour in it's path. With a cry of exertion she landed, driving the spear into the creature, feeling the shadow's sap the Aliengator's strength to keep it down even as her relatively tiny spear drove into the creature. Feeling both the shadows and monster writhe as she tried to control the former, she held on until the beast's struggles ceased. With a heavy breath out she pulled her spear from it's form with a grunt of effort, dropping down to the ground through the creature and walking out of it's body.
  22. Muirne handed her phone over to Leon without hesitation, trying hard to keep in physical contact with the pair despite needing a hand. "I do like the idea of just charging in and beating all of them up, but I'm not sure if they have ways to run away." And we don't want them to. Aoife provided unnecessarily. "If Le- Paper finds an escape route, we should make sure to block it off. I have some abilities that are good for stopping large numbers of people if we need to take on lots of them. What about you two?" She hadn't seen either of them fight much, and never against large groups as far as she knew. As much as her being sang for blood, she knew that the smart thing to do would be to make sure they were all on the same page ability-wise.
  23. Okay, Muirne is hesitant to fight her friend so her first thing is gonna be to try and intimidate El into backing down. If a roll would be asked for (Most games don't have PC vs PC interaction skills) Skill Mastery would make it 24.
