  1. Connor had raised his hands up in defeat at Lester's statement, but without replying anything. He wasn't here to start trouble, but he wasn't about to let some the Claremonter walk over him, just because he'd only just picked up a weapon. Instead of making the situation any worse, he stood back and listened, while Paige outed herself as a Psion. He remained silent on that matter, too. The old man had told him about it already, and with how messed up he had made the Psions sound, it made sense that Hologram tried to distance herself from that name. "If you set me up for a clear shot, I'll take her down," he added to Cline's plan. Of course, that force field might be a problem, but he had options, if it came to that. Still standing back, he shook his head lightly. Yeah, going to find Rachel would be the smart thing, but he still had some questions. He looked at Lester. "Don't suppose he left a number or anything like that?" Probably not. After the eventual reply, he turned to Corona again. "What could your friends do, in case Heather's gotten to them?" Tactics. Plan ahead. Only way to keep up with these super people.
  2. Emerald Spider, Kanunu, Shrike and Rebellion is up, then. I'll try and get this started after the weekend.
  3. 1d20+1 = 6 Anything from Archer's Mentor Benefit feat below that could help? Benefit 1 [Mentor - Archer I - Can provide knowledge and tactics suggestions, potential knowledge, per GM's discretion]
  4. Missed the 1/3rd not matching up completely, my bad. Its fixed now. Knockback fixed. Fixed typo: Supposed to be Somatic Healing, thank you!
  5. GM The woman looked up, struggling to move. Her nose was clearly a broken mess, some of her teeth seemed loose. "You're a false god. Not worthy of the title. Who cares what God do to mortals? If the woman believed herself mad, then maybe she is!" She struggled away from Lady Horus, or at least attempted to get away, raising an accusing hand towards Strix. "And look! Is that what the ally of God should do? Feast on their fallen enemies?" Her voice was strained. She was fighting to stay conscious. "This will not be enough. One day, you will see the face of God!"
  6. GM As Nicole started typing at the terminal, the scritches and scratches and bumps continued. Rita grabbed the discarded lamp, as the door now began to shake with each bump that came from it. Whatever was happening on the other side of the door, the mice were slowly starting to get through. It had been easy enough to find a mailing list, a group that seemed to cover most of the building, and to send the message. Rita looked at Nicole, her eyes scrutinizing the intern. "Alright, I guess. Just be quick with whatever you need to do." As the seconds ticked by and Nicole could do whatever she planned, the terminal suddenly shut down, the screen going black. Rita didn't even have time to shut her eyes before she screamed, swinging the lamp in her hand towards the small mouse that was in the room, chewing through the power cable to the terminal. "They're in here!" The panic was clear in her voice as she swung the lamp again and again, the mouse deftly moving out of the way from every swing. And then... *bump* With a crash, the grate in front of the air duct fell out, mice starting to stream out and into the room. All seemed changed by the nanomachines, but there were so many more than what Rita had shown Nicole in the room.
  7. I think my reward counter has been updated wrong. My highest PP gain for June was 7PP for Justice, but my reward tracker has only increased from 69 to 73, not 76 as it was supposed to be.
  8. I'm looking for 2-3 Emerald City based PCs to try and get some more interaction going, maybe get some plots moving for Emerald City. The basic idea is that some out of town super villains are showing up to stake the claim, since the city obviously doesn't have any super villains at all. Of course, Emerald got some heroes, and some people that might not see kindly to out of towners showing up. It might evolve a bit from that, depending on who's involved. I'm planning on involving Justice or Rebellion, depending on interest.
  9. GM "What is it?" Rita looked up, having been looking at the screen. her eyes widened, the look in them echoing the one that Nicole had displayed when she saw the mice. "Close the door! Now!" She stormed over, and despite her order to Nicole, Rita did the work herself, shutting the door straight in the faces of the mice. Just before the door closed, Nicole saw that the mice hadn't moved at all. Her search for an escape route seemed rather fruitless. There was a small air duct, but much smaller than what a person could fit through. The door seemed to be the only escape route. "We shut the door, right? I shut the door completely!" Rita's calm had completely disappeared, while she started wide eyed at Nicole. "They're not... They were dead. Completely dead. No life signs. It doesn't make any sense." *bump* The sounds were clearly coming from the door now. But there were something more. A sound, like *scritch scritch scritch*, continuously coming from all around them, though seeming to head towards the small air duct leading into the room.
  10. And there it was. Somebody with powers speaking up against the arrows. "Got broadheads, yeah." No high explosives. Honestly, he could have taken some along, but it didn't feel right. He knew the old man had some. "Among other things." No point in telling this guy everything he carried, it wasn't like everyone here had been coming out with just what they could do. He stepped up, right in front of the guy. Who even knew what he could do? He seemed confident, so probably something big. He had never heard about someone called Facs, and he was young, just a few years older than Connor himself, probably. "Because, obviously, arrows are the main danger in a super hero fight, and not whatever powers everyone here got." Connor smiled a confident smile, before stepping back from Facs, and moving over to Fast-Forward again. At least that guy had been happy to see him. "Besides, not like I shoot to kill or maim. I'm way better than that."

  12. The old Archer was Fast-Forward's best friend back then? That was news, at least to Connor. He had never done much talking about his old days, aside from tactics, what not to do and such, but if that was the case, then that made Cline's reaction make much more sense. And meant that Connor would have to ask Keller some questions later. Everyone signed up for what Corona was selling. Honestly, Connor doubted they would even have shown up here in the first place if they weren't about to help her out, anyway. He gave a quick nod in reaction to Corona's acknowledgement. She was probably right. The old man might be feeling bad about not having helped the Delinquents now, but back then, who's to say what would have happened, if he hadn't retired by then? And then Cline was back, carrying Hologram. He'd of course watched Supercrime! growing up. Hell, the old man had practically forced him to do it at first. Having a psychic of their own could help with this Tantrum. He refused to think of her as Heather. If she was against them, and as dangerous as Corona said, then he couldn't think of her as someone with a name like Heather. "She's strong, then, even if we got Hologram here to help." He decided to speak up. If they had an idea of facing someone like Tantrum, they might as well talk tactics. "As far as I know, the best way of dealing with a psychic is a sneak attack, so what else do you know about her powers? She can read minds, but can she sense when there's people nearby? And how many people can she affect at once? Know anything about her range? If she's unstable, we might be able to distract her, and those of us with range can take her out from outside her influence." Not the most impressive plan, sure, but at least he felt like he contributed something.
  13. Question away at the cultists and the book. Will be winding the thread down towards an ending, and combat's over, so no need to stick to any postingorder.
  14. Searchable Profile [A picture of what might be either a man or a woman in a not-so form fitting primarily red, metallic and pink armor, with a large pink visor, metallic mouth plate and a long red scarf. The person is standing in a workshop with a number of machines behind them, with hands on their hips, obviously posing for the camera.] [A person in the same armor as before, mid-jump, with their right leg stretched out, red scarf flowing from the movement behind them. Their left leg is bent at the knee, the lower leg under them. Their arms right arm is stretched towards their right foot, as if to aim, their left arm is bent at the elbow, held close to the body. Their right foot has connected with the chest of a reptillian humanoid, who is being sent flying backwards be the force of the kick. The picture is slightly tilted, obviously taken with a smart phone.] [The same person in the same armor, riding a dark metallic motorcycle through the busy city streets, appearing to be in the process of weaving between some cars. The red scarf is trailing behind the person, who is hunched down over the bike. The picture is from the front and slightly to the left.] Name: Justice* Gender: Female Preferred Era of Pop Culture: 2000'es, 2010'es, modern stuff I guess? About you: I'm a pretty new crime fighter from Emerald City, doing what I can to keep the city safe! Been a superhero fangirl since forever, so I built myself an armor and some gadgets, put myself through training and went to work! I'm pretty smart, and tend to talk a lot, so don't say I didn't warn you! I can be a bit of a workaholic, and I'm serious about being a hero. If you wanna go to the movies for the newest super hero movie, then I'm your girl! Looking For: A guy. Someone that can keep up with me, preferably shares some interests. Wouldn't mind some other hero! And someone around my own age would be cool, I guess. Partner Goals: Honestly, I'm not entirely sure, haven't done much dating so far. Ideally something long term, but even friends of any gender would be great. Fun Prompts! My Favorite Thing About The Place I Live Is.... That there's no place like home! (Get it?) Most People Who Know Me Would Say I'm... Always talking, smarter than I act and a big super hero fan. My Favorite Childhood Memory Is... Watching super hero shows with my big brother when I was a kid. Five Things I Am Not... Silent, brooding, mean, slow, experienced Private Letter to ErosUnlimited
  15. GM The man looked as Agnes floated up to his height. He was still smiling, that almost laugh. It could easily be seen as annoying, or worse, to tell the truth, but the man didn't seem to care about. "Oh, so you are one of them, are you?" He raised his hands up, to signal peace, and backed away. "No, no, I would not want to mess with someone special like you. If no one has gone missing here, then the trail is cold. I will have to find another." He spoke loudly. He could easily be seen as somewhat over the top, bordering on parody, perhaps, but he sounded rather sincere. He turned away and started walking swiftly, his hands moving back and forth at his sides. "Behave now, and try not to get taken by the kidnapper. Who knows what he would do with someone like you?" He sounded sincere in that, at least, as he made his way down the street, heading in the direction of another shelter.
  16. GM The man, or was it a monster, moved as the Emerald Spider fired at him, his twisted face changing into what might be a grin, at least until the light show that Justice put up, followed by the blast that connected directly to his chest. The Emerald Spider's taunt might have worked, drawing his attention away from Justice, if not for that blast. As it was, he looked down at his chest where the blast had connected for a moment, before lunging wildly at Justice, swinging a clawed and spiked arm towards her, which she only just managed to back away from.
  17. Justice "Ow!" The kick connected, hard enough to at least put the guy off balance for a moment, but the moment she connected, Robin felt the spikes under his coat. They didn't exactly cut through her armor, but if the angle had been a little worse, they just might have. Just who was this guy, and what was he made of? Seemed like bones, but they were dense and sharp. Anyway, she was not about to make that mistake again. "Watch out, he stings when you hit him." She might be trying to sound all business, but in truth, she was just a little bit excited to get to show off this trick. If getting in close with the guy hurt her, and if he was hard enough that a kick only knocked him off balance for a moment, then she needed something more powerful than the Justice Buster. Shifting a hand to her belt, she clicked a button, while raising the Justice Buster with the other. A portal appeared behind her, blue pieces of armor flying out from it towards her, while the pink and red armor she was currently wearing flew away. It all happened fast. Fast enough that the bad guy couldn't get a chance to stab at her while it did so. The end result? A blue armor similar to her previous one, but more heavily armored, and with no scarf, but what appeared to be small boost rockets behind her. Wires from the armor's right gauntlet had connected to the Justice Buster. Quickly raising the gun, she didn't waste time aiming much, instead firing a powerful blast directly at the bad guy's chest.
  18. Yep, that's a miss. Justice uses a move action to switch to the Blaster Armor and takes a shot with the Enhanced Blaster: 1d20+9 = 22 That's a hit, a DC22 TOU save for the baddie. Enemy TOU: 20, he gets another bruise Since Justice is still in melee, he goes for her with a melee attack: 17, not enough to hit Justice. The aura doesn't trigger, since it doesn't connect. 26 - Emerald Spider - 2HP - Unharmed 19 - Justice - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 14 - Enemy - Bruise (x2) You're up.
  19. GM Tricia's eyes were like ice as she starred at the cosmic captain of the cosmos. "Yes, you are clearly showing that you are no hero at all." Clearly, she was getting nowhere with Captain Cosmos, so instead she turned to the masses around them. "Come on! Are you just going to let him treat me like this? Look at those guys with guns, and he's trying to get me to empty my pockets? Whose side is this guy on, anyway? He's probably working with those gunmen!" The crowds didn't really seem to pick a side here. Some sounded like they agreed with Tricia, others with the captain. At any rate, Tricia did not make any move to empty her pockets.
  20. GM The blood did not appear tainted. Whatever the ink in the man had been, it was gone now. Pure, red blood, rushing to the vampire as he fed. The man groaned, and weakly tried to struggle. The woman was still conscious, fighting to stay up, she supported her weight on the table. She stumbled, leaning forward, pushing a book off the table. It landed in front of her Doctor Thorne, flipped to a random page. Already, the words on the page were moving, the ink shifting and changing into other words than what had once been. "God... God will smite you..." She struggled to stay upright still. I AM THE INK GOD was all the pages said.
  21. GM The unlucky pirate, the last one standing near Thunderbird, one might add, probably shouldn't have mentioned anything about the young man's mother. No, now that he stared at the lightning that struck the youth's hand, that much was very clear to the pirate. In the brief second before the spear of lightning collided with his chest, the pirate raised his hands, waving them in front of himself, starting to stammer an apology. Then he was thrown back with the force of lightning as it struck him. Charred, burnt, but somehow still alive, he wriggled and groaned on the ground, drawing more than a few stares from his fellow pirates.
  22. Pirate TOU save: 18 He is down, and Thunderbird is out of people to fight. @Tiffany Korta, @Thevshi you're up!
  23. 777 was quite sure if it should speak up or not when the Terran students started discussing other actions than the one determined by the teacher. Such a novel thing to do, take actions on your own, despite what your leader was telling you. Maybe it was something 777 should try to do in the future? Still, when it was mentioned, it could not stay silent. "Affirmative. This unit has a full weapon package ready to protect the students, if need be." At least everything turned out in the students' favor, and Sitara seemed to approve. Once the students were left alone, 777's display changed to show a smiling green mouth and closed eyes, before approaching Nicole. "How did you know that this unit possessed weaponry capable of protecting you?" It was, of course, genuinely curious.
