  1. Pan uses his Endless Forms Illusion to make an image at the backroom, so it seems like the room they're in is empty. @Thunder King, @Thevshi anything to add before a GM post?
  2. You should be able to use your Selective Illusion for that, yeah, so no reason for a stunt.
  3. Sorry for the delay! @Ari That's a hit, opposed Grapple: 25 You got him, give me an IC.
  4. Archer II That took care of most of them. All but one, the man with the weird blaster. Great, things couldn't be easy, could they? Connor reached for another couple of arrows, leaned over the building and... what the hell was that guy up to? Clicking away on the gun, then throwing it on the ground, and then it made a force field of some kind? Since when did the C's have tech like that? The man ducked away into an alley, but c'mon, there had to be more to it than that. What else did he have? Wait, then. Arrows ready to fly, see if he popped up, or if he just ran.
  5. Archer stays on the lookout and readies an action to fire a couple of Stun Arrows with the Rapid Fire Arrows Add-On if the gangster shows up. Readied attack roll: 21
  6. The pressure was extreme. It was exhausting, just staying upright in the seat as they rocketed through the atmosphere. The others might be handling it better, or they might not, but Connor stayed silent in his seat, just staring ahead. They had powers. They could handle it, right? He had been flying around in state of the art machines before, but not like this, nothing where he had actually left the planet. No pressure quite like this. It felt like forever. When they finally hit space and the artificial gravity kicked in, Connor let out a deep breath. He felt weird, nauseous, but he didn't really care. They were in space. This was incredible. Just incredible. He stayed strapped in for now, staying silent, just watching out, only barely noticing that Corona was going through paper bags.
  7. Forever Boy Make A Wish "Open your eyes. Trust me, it will be fine." Pan's tone was reassuring, but the young girl by his side resisted. She shook her head violently, refusing to open her eyes. Pan frowned. It should be fine, after all. She should be fine. Sure, she did not have the easiest of lives. She had been through much trouble already, she had to keep so much in, and yet, she did so well. She thought so little of herself, but really, all she had to do for this to work was simple. "Come now, just think happy thoughts, and everything will be fine. Think about your friends, think about fun. Think about Christmas, think about your dreams, think about playing. Think about your birthday, and fluffy puppies and kittens!" It had to work. She needed this. Needed some happiness, and Pan was sure that he could deliver. They had reached out to him a while back, almost a year ago now. Well, Ms. Lupine had been the one to make the call, routed through Nicholson to Claremont. The little girl with the weight on her shoulders, the one that trapped others in her nightmares, without even meaning to. Little Victoria, who loved the stories of princesses so, who loved the story of Peter Pan, and just wanted to get to know him. Of course, Pan had agreed with little thought, and since then, he had often spent time at Nicholson, trying to help, as best he could. And now, here they were, Victoria holding on tightly to his face, her eyes closed as they hovered just above the ground, sparkling Pixie Dust falling from them and joining the snow beneath their feet. "I will be right here, Victoria. Do not worry. I will let go, but I will be right here. Think happy thoughts, and you will fly! Just trust me!" "But it's scary!" Victoria protested. This was her wish, what she had said she really wanted, and yet now, she protested. She fought back against him. This was hardly as Pan had imagined it would go. Share some Pixie Dust, have some happy thoughts, go flying around a bit in the Nicholson gym. Of course, that entire plan had depended on Victoria actually opening her eyes and trying to fly on her own. Not this. Not being scared of something she actually wanted to do. Ms. Lupine was sitting on a chair a bit away, watching them with the eyes of a hawk. Or, perhaps the eyes of a wolf? It was not like the Nicholson School could allow him to be all alone with Victoria, after all. "Then, what do you propose? That we stop, before we begin? That you give up?" He felt Victoria's hand tighten its grip on his own. "Nuh-uh! I wanna do it... but its scary!" Fear was something strange, something unknown. Not something that Pan knew much about. Not something he had expected to meet here, but of course, Victoria had much to fear, herself most of all. She had made such progress in the year he had known her, and yet, she still held on to old regrets and fears, but what could he expect from one as young as her? So, what could he do? Give up, stop before they began, as he put it? She would be disappointed, would probably pout, but on the other hand, he would have done as she wanted. He had met this resistance in Victoria before. This fear of change, of something new, even if it was something that she had wanted to do. Giving in would be the wrong choice, he thought. Challenging her fear would have to be the only course of action. "Tell me, then, why are you afraid? All you need to do is open your eyes." His tone was calm, slow, understanding. It ate him up inside to take things this slow, he wanted to go flying, he wanted to fulfill Victoria's wish, but taking things too fast? Now, that would never help with her. From her seat, Ms. Lupine followed the events closely. Her face showed little of what she thought. Victoria hesitated for a moment. Her eyes were still tightly shut. "... That I'll stop thinking happy thoughts..." she finally admitted. "I don't wanna think about the nightmares, I don't wanna think about the bad stuff, but I'm afraid I'm gonna anyway..." Could she be blamed for such thoughts? No, of course not. Victoria's position was unique. To most children, their dreams were just that: Dreams. To Victoria, her nightmares could come real, drawing in everyone around her. Of course she was afraid that a bad memory of a nightmare would come back to haunt her. Pan nodded in response, even if he was aware that Victoria could not see it. He squeezed her hand tightly. "Listen to me, Victoria. You have been through such hardships, you have seen such horror, from your dreams and others, and yet, here you stand. You are already flying." Slowly, he started easing his squeeze. Ever so slowly, bit by bit, not all at once. "But, bad things happen to us all. You might think that you are not allowed to be happy, but that would be wrong. So tell me, what makes you happy? Tell me, what makes you smile?" What are your happy thoughts, he almost said, but caught himself. No, that would be too obvious, would it not? Again, Victoria hesitated. Pan was almost ready to stop, call it all off, when she finally responded. "My mom and dad... They make me happy, when they come see me." Pan smiled. Slowly, he inched his hand closer to freedom, while Victoria continued. "Miss Lupine's great. And Mr. Bear, my teddy... and my best friend Tracy, and my other friends, and school, and fairy tales, and reading..." She was going now. Faster, and faster. Letting it all loose. Pan managed to let go. He held his hand up, Victoria had no even noticed, as she just continued talking, listing all that made her happy. "... and ice cream, just not pistachio, and Disney movies, and... and..." She paused for a moment again, sounding almost embarrassed. "And spending time with you, when you come visit, Mr. Pan." Pan's smile grew even wider. He couldn't help it. He loved spending time with Victoria, and he knew she loved it too, but it was still so nice to hear. "Open your eyes, Victoria. You are thinking so many happy thoughts, and I do believe it is time for you to fly." She finally did as he asked. Slowly, Victoria opened her eyes, and looked down, then to the right, to see Pan waving at him. She tried moving a bit, floating up, to the side, a bit down, back and forth. Gaining confidence, beginning to move, while Pan stayed close. "Now, this will not last forever, my dear Victoria, so I have one proposal, before the Pixie Dust fades!" He was standing in mid-air before her, looking serious. Victoria nodded, she seemed a bit unsure. Pan's lips split into a grin, as he took off. "Catch me if you can!" For as long as the Pixie Dust lasted, for as long as she could, Victoria and Pan chased each other around the gym, flying high, flying low, with laughter filling the room.
  8. GM Darkness. Numbness. A feeling of being moved. Everything a haze. Then, light. When Chromium opened his eyes, he found himself sitting against a wall. His arms were up against the wall behind him, hell in heavy restraints. His feet were secured to his seat, a solid metal slab. There was a hum all around him, in a small box with maybe half a meter of free space on each side of him, aside from the wall behind him where he was secured. The humming was strange. It was like he was held in place, like some sort of force was holding him in place. He could hear voices around him, but the loud hum made it difficult to make out what they were saying.
  9. And that's a KO, yet. We're out of combat, let's see what happens.
  10. GM The creature was completely surprised when the Meta-Naut shouted back at it in its own language. It didn't even hvae time to respond before it was hit straight in the groin, bending over and just rolling over to the side. Well, it was out of it. Painfully so. The creature that Justice had struck soon came flying through the ruins, crashing into a wall close to the one that was still standing and attacking the Meta-Naut. It seemed unfazed by its companions being taken out, pulling back the string of its bow to shoot an arrow at Meta-Naut. The shot went wide, but its friend, after snickering at Justice's choice of weapon, was more lucky, the arrow hitting Justice's legs with enough force to affect her even through the armor.
  11. Justice "Come on!" One arrow to the back, but the armor took care of it. Great! Swinging her hammer around herself, Justice brought it sideways into the little goblin in front of her, the impact sending him flying away and crashing into one of the other walls in the ruin. Meta-Naut was shouting something. Sounded kinda out of character for her, even if she couldn't understand what she was saying to those things, it sounded absolutely furious. Pissed off beyond belief. These guys really got to her. Probably best to end it quick. Getting her jets ready to launch her, Robin spun around, grabbing her hammer with both hands. "Come one short stuff! Think ya can take me? I'm right here, just me and a hammer!" Well, not just a hammer, but she'd show the little goblin that trick in a moment.
  12. Justice's up! Bringing down the hammer on the guy in front of her first: 23 TOU save: 17 vs DC27, he's out. Justice follows up with a Feint as Move Action, so -5, against the other guy: 21 Other guy's resist to that: 7 He's feinted alright. One attack at Meta-Naut: 15 One attack at Justice: 20 Hitting Justice, so TOU: 16 Missed by 2, so Justice is bruised 13 - Meta-Naut - 1HP - Unharmed 13 - Justice - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 7 - Attackers x4 - x2 Unharmed, x2 Knocked Out
  13. Archer reflex: 13 Acrobatics: 26 Archer's still standing. @Grumblefloof: You're up for an IC post. The guy is out of the cage, the entire thing is shaking, and unlike the others, Octoman didn't hear the Pinball Wizard announce the nudge.
  14. CHEVAL The thing was sucking him in, holding on. It was a struggle, much more than it should have been. Marcus was strong. He was iron, he was Ogoun's cheval! And yet, this creature, this beast of flesh and teeth and blood was all over him, impossible to shake off, impossible to break. And yet, he would break it. One way or another, he would break free! With a groan, he forced his arm out of the creature, a great wound left behind. A weak spot! Somewhere to strike! Before he had the chance, teh thing was lit on fire. Taking a step away from the heat, Cheval looked towards the attacker, as the Woodsman stepped unto the scene. He was dazed, he was shaken. Rambled, even more than Cheval expected of the man, but he had aided them, and Marcus had agreed to trust him. Besides, he had seen the men with the teeth below. "What are they? Vampires of some kind?"
  15. @Thunder King is up, but @TheAbsurdist, feel free to skip ahead. @Avenger Assembled, feel free to make a post if there's no other posts by Tuesday, or once TA has posted.
  16. DC18 Reflex Save vs Trip. Trip power check: 17, reduced to 13 if you make the save.
  17. GM The bars gave away, quickly disappearing as it flaked away and quickly undone. The man inside the cage had taken a step back, looking a bit nervous, but seemed visibly relieved when it turned out Spectre was out to help him. "Guys, guys, you gotta help. This guy, he just grabbed me. Rolled this little ball at me, then he got me in a cage and in this weird place with giant balls rolling everywhere. Didn't really work out, he said I was no fun, then put me in here earlier." He was obviously panicking. He seemed dehydrated, starved, but still strangely active. He quickly ducked out of the cage once the bars were gone. "Aw, guys, that right there? That's so not cool! That's, like, a full tilt! You can't do a full tilt!" There was a vibrating sensation, then suddenly, the entire place shook violently three times. "Ya'll just gotta nudge it!"
  18. Archer II The ball was pinging around, like some kind of pinball. Its trajectory seemed random, nothing he could predict, and the guy in the cage was screaming, but at least Octoman saw what was going on, and jumped to the rescue. While Spectre dealt with the prisoner, Connor moved to the ball. The way it had hit Octoman and been stopped, it didn't seem like it was electrified like the walls had been earlier, so that was something, at least. It didn't mean it wasn't booby trapped in other ways. Or maybe this entire place was just one big trap. Pinball Wizard... he lived up to his theme, at least. "Step back a moment. I'll anchor it." he said, making sure to be turned so Octoman could see his lips. Switching his arrow out, he took a quick shot at the bottom of the ball once Octoman had stepped back, a thick foam quickly spreading out from the arrow and keeping it in place.
  19. Keeping the ball stuck with a Riot Foam Arrow, at Snare 6.
  20. That goes through the bars. ICs for GM and Archer coming.
  21. GM "You stay right there!" Irons barked the order as he watched Chromium struggling to stand. The soldiers that were still standing all took aim at Screwtop, and even as he clutched the automatic rifle in his hands, it seemed clear what would happened if he fired the weapon. Commander Irons face remained stern, like a teacher that was handing out a scolding more than someone beating down an enemy. "You could be so much more, boy, if you had just tried, if you had just thought. Really, a car. You can turn into a car. What kind of cartoon world do you think we live in?" He pulled his fist back once more, then let it fly directly at Chromium's face.
  22. Will do! But, remember the links to the rolls! Screwtop and the soldiers are at a bit of a stand off right now, neither taking any actions aside from aiming at each other. Irons attacks: 22 That's a hit, so DC26 TOU save! If you fail, that's a KO. 21 - Screwtop - Bruise (x1) 20 - Commander Irons - Unharmed 16 - Soldiers x6 - KO x1, Unharmed x5 14 - Chromium - 0HP - Dazed (ends this turn), Staggered
  23. CHEVAL Camellia Blume? Marcus stroked his beard. He had heard about her before. A quick search revealed more information, more things to know. Seeing those pictures, she seemed like someone he recognized, but not just from posters or ads or anything like that. Blume. She was a psychiatrist. Hadn't Persephone been handing out cards for a psychiatrist back when they first met? Offered to help them with any issues, if need be? And, apparently, Miss Blume was a super hero, since she had a profile on EU? Could it be? No... that would be too obvious, wouldn't it? But, those pictures, the familarity, she obviously knew him, and everything else, well, sometimes it was the most obvious choice that was the right one. Switching back to the EU app, Marcus took a deep breath. Alright, time to see if he was right or not. I do not suppose that Rapunzel has plenty of flowers in her hair?
  24. Forever Boy Children! There were children inside that school! As a streak of lightning from above, Pan dove from above, heading straight for the soldier that had withstood Rebound's strikes. Maybe Benny had hit a wrong angle, maybe the man had just been lucky, or maybe he was just lucky, but with a shimmering blade of light materializing in his hands, Pan sought to rectify that stroke of luck! "I do not know Rebound's uncle, but let us imagine that this is another of his greetings!" he declared as ze struck, the man falling to the swing of his blade, shimmering Pixie Dust leaving a trail behind him from the sky to the school's door. One soldier still standing. They had to stop him before getting the children inside out of there.
