  1. I think we're good for going out of combat now. No need to stick to strict posting order anymore.
  2. Justice Oh god, there was a freaking soundtrack too. Mars had thought about everything here, hadn't he? Of course he had. He was Max freaking Mars. The fluid was new. Not something she'd come up with, at least. It wasn't just her ideas at play here, then. Robin wasn't sure if she felt better or worse about that. As the helmet slid down over her head and the AR interface came to life, well... she felt off having her face exposed like this when in an armor. This wasn't how she worked normally. She really didn't need people to know everything about her. And those captions were just weird. Useful, but weird. Maybe there was some way to turn them off? She took a step forward, raising a hand and waving with a bit of hesitation, then froze completely when Max called her a warrior of justice. Come on, that could not just be a coincidence. He knew. Somehow, he knew. She was completely, absolutely sure that Max Mars knew that she was Justice. She had no idea how, but he had found her tech, he had used her tech and now, he was letting her know. At least he was a good guy. Could've been much worse if someone bad found out, right? She took a deep breath and lowered her hand, while looking at Max. Alright, alright. Chill. Stay in character. He might know, but nobody else did, and she was Robin Lynne Langley, super hero fan girl. This was the chance of a life time, and she had 500 hero points. Aqua pack, Blaster pack, Flight pack, Stealth pack and Tank pack available. That was, well... not an overwhelming amount of options. All labelled starter packs. Had to mean that she could get access to something else at some point. That weird golden light was distracting. What was it? "Seems like I got access to a number of power packs. Any recommendations, Mr. Mars?" Yes. Stall a bit. And... what was that weird golden light. She at least tried to turn to get a good look at it.
  3. All hits, rolling TOU saves that they can't make, but eh: 17 11 12 All failed, that takes out the rest of the goons. Give me an IC, and I'll follow up with a GM post and some more trouble. 18 - Spectre - 1HP - Unharmed 18 - Goons x4 - 3x Unharmed, 1x KO 8 - Knight of Earth - 4HP - Unharmed
  4. GM If lights were spilling from Judy's eyes, the Alice was starting to positively glow with rainbow light. Alice seemed quite unimpressed with Ashley standing between them, looking straight past her and at Judy again. "You want him, don't you? You want my Micah?" As the sky darkened and Micah called out, it seemed like she finally noticed Ashley and the gun. Her eyes went wide, the rainbow glow fading as she quickly stepped back, hiding behind Micah. Whatever made it easier to clear his head, whatever made him able to think clearly? The moment she touched him again, her hands on his shoulder, that seemed to be gone "Micah! Look what they're doing! She's gonna shoot me!"
  5. Is Ms. Hancock still in the classroom, or did she physically lead those nasty troublemakers to the office herself?
  6. GM Armstrong shook his head. "Just keep pushin', O'Brian..." Down in the simulator, one of the hard light construct criminals looked up just in time to see that Max had disappeared, and then he was hit in the back of the head with the kick. He stumbled forward, falling to the floor where he stopped moving. "Points for effectivity, O'Brian, but turn down the brutality a bit." All three remaining criminals raised their handguns and started shooting, even if they did little to move out of the way. Not that their bullets hit anything, going wide and flying all over the place.
  7. Well, let's see if you do! These guys are minions, so I'll just roll for their initiative once: 18 Since Spectre has the higher score bonus, she gets to go first. These guys are admittedly pushovers, but I'll be shifting others in as we get to them. @Darksider42: That's a hit, and I'm guessing you're using your Phase Touch power? The 4 baddies are all in a line, which one do you go for? In any case, rolling Toughness for one: 5 Since he's a Minion, that's the first one down. The other three starts shooting, 2 aiming at Spectre, one at Knight of Earth: 14 13 13 Surprising no one, they all miss! Now, its @Wyverntamer's turn: Tell me what power you use here, make any necessary rolls if you attack, and write an IC post about what you do, then, as the GM, I'll write what happens after rolling any saves, but feel free to be as descriptive as you otherwise want to be. 18 - Spectre - 1HP - Unharmed 18 - Goons x4 - 3x Unharmed, 1x KO 8 - Knight of Earth - 4HP - Unharmed
  8. GM Outside the church, Madame Blitz looked up at Specimen and Forever Boy. She touched her shoulder, looked at the blood, then wiped it off her pants. She slowly stood up to her full height, electricity crackling around her body while she shook off the shock and pain. <"I do not like killing children. But for you, I will make an exception."> Donar just stood there. It was obvious that he had no idea what Watchdog was up to, what this strange woman in the red helmet was doing as she dared to run at him. Grenades, the young girl's blasts, the jumping man, all that, he anticipated, it seemed. But not the woman in the red mask running at him, and then handcuffing them together. Nothing but rage remained on his face as Watchdog removed her helmet. "Untermensch!" He swung his hammer towards her, obviously wanting nothing but than to be rid of the woman.
  9. Madame Blitz shakes off her dazed condition, until she gets hits again. Watchdog is bound to Donar, as per chat, she gets inflicted with Entangled too, and gets a HP. Donar of course goes for Watchdog. Swinging his hammer for an attack: 18 And that's a hit. @Avenger Assembled: Give me a DC27 TOU save for Watchdog. @secondling: You're up 29 - Forever Boy - 4HP - Unharmed - Obscure East of Church: 19 rounds remaining24 - Specimen - 2HP - Unharmed23 - Die Walküre - Bruise (x1) - On frontlines, near Forever Boy and Specimen. 10. Gym teacher identity left vague until I find out who the current gym teacher is, seems my info was outdated there.
  11. GM Alice's eyes stayed right on Judy the entire time. Not leaving for even a moment, not even when Ashley spoke up. Or when Micah tried to make them leave the current place. "No. I don't think so. I want to see the garden." She stepped closer to Judy, stepping away from Micah for a second. it was almost like the distance made it just a bit easier for Micah to clear his head. "Why do you think it is your business that Micah and I are together?" Her tone like ice. Her eyes were starting to glow, shifting between several colors. "Tell me, Micah. Why do you think Judy should have any business dealing with our love?"
  12. Pan couldn't help himself. He fell forward on the table and laughed, burying his face in his arms. Anarchy around them. Yells about anarchy, at the very least. Total chaos, students rising up, Leroy standing up and declaring himself a co-conspirator. This was too good. "Ah, Leroy." He shook his head. He had seen that movie before. This was just too good.
  13. That's a hit alright Reflex save: 15, fail by 4, he's Entangled. Give me an IC, then its the villains' turn. 29 - Forever Boy - 4HP - Unharmed - Obscure East of Church: 19 rounds remaining24 - Specimen - 2HP - Unharmed23 - Die Walküre - Bruise (x1) - On frontlines, near Forever Boy and Specimen. 14. OOC for this. @Darksider42, @Wyverntamer Give me an IC opening, then let's start with an Initiative roll from each of you
  15. GM February 25th, 2020, 10:00 AM Claremont Academy, Sub-Level Four, Combat Simulator "Alright, listen up. I know that you got some experience from your old school, O'Brian, so you've been chosen to help show Winters the ropes, but no funny business. Got it?" A tall man with brown hair and a crew cut was barking orders at the two students in the Combat Simulator. The gym teacher, Mr. Travis Armstrong, was barking orders with the best of them. He had also made it clear on multiple occasions that he was watching Max, not entirely confident in her change of heart and her shifting from her old school. Still, he had told her that this was him showing her some trust by letting her take part in this exercise. The teacher stood behind the safety glass in t control booth, a confident smile on his lips as he looked down on the currently bare room. "With that out of the way, let's start with a warm up." His fingers danced over the keyboard and controls, gettingeverything ready. The entire area around them changed, blinking for a second, then the pair found themselves standing in the middle of a random city. It didn't seem to correspond to anywhere in Freedom City in particular, more a mish mash of parts. They were alone, no cars, no people. Not until a group of four masked men with guns appeared before them. "Alright, go get 'em!"
  16. @Fox, @Avenger Assembled Alright, I've made a few changes to address the issues, and then some more changes after that: General: I've gotten rid of the Reach Everything AP in both arrays, which means he won't be able to break caps anymore. I'll be using stunts if I want to do the Reach Everything effect. I'll leave the power description as is, since it is something that he can do. Saves: Updated to be proper, the +5/+5 was from an older version of the build and I forgot to update it on the sheet. Powers: Added a description for the forgettable appearance to power descriptions: Then, made a few other changes: In the Personal Space Control Array, I got rid of the Duration [Sustained] flaw for the Super-Strength AP, reducing its rank to 10. In the Space Control Array I got rid of the Reach Everything and Blast powers. I added the the extra Range [Perception] and the flaw Distracting to the Move Object power. In the Space Movement Array I got rid of the Reach Everything power. That freed up 3PP that I used to add Acute to the Spatial Awareness Super Sense, increase Will save by 1 and increase the Luck feat to 3. Everything should be updated in the sheet based on the above.
  17. CHEVAL He couldn't help it. Marcus let out a short laugh at the last line. The knight, not the armor or horse or castle? Ah, he would explain why that was funny some day. Instead, he simply rose. He was at ease. No reason to close himself off, no reason to hesitate. He happily accepted her hand, taking it tightly in his own, but waited for just a moment before letting her lead him on. "Never said you were any of those things, chérie. Still, I appreciae it." She moved fast. He moved slow. He would make it work, then. See where the night and days to come would lead them. Then, the kiss. Those soft lips. Again, he chuckled as she called him a knight. He couldn't help it. "Then this knight will do his best to serve his queen." He leaned in close for another deep kiss.
  18. GM "Yeah, sure." The first hostage stood back, idly scratching his arm, looking around nervously, even while Archer stayed close to him. From his position above, Octoman could see that the pit was filled with spikes, each roughly 2 and a half feet in length. They looked metallic, like they could easily pierce through the cages if they fell and skewer whoever was inside. The cage shook and swung a bit with the sudden added weight, with a young man in one of the nearby cages shrieking in shock. "No no no, get away!" Then, the cage that Specter had landed on was let go from the arm and fell towards the spikes below.
  19. @Darksider42: Give me a DC20 Reflex Save to react in time and get away before the cage falls. If you fail, that's a DC25 TOU save vs. the spikes below.
  20. Archer II Connor hung back while Spectre and Octoman moved. Someone had to keep his distance and keep some kind of watch, after all. Could just as well be the guy with bow and arrows. The two prep school heroes were already planning everything, figuring out how to get the people out of the cages. Octoman was even crawling around all over, looking as weird as ever. "Better do like he says," he motioned towards the man they had rescued. "There's enough people out there, we don't need anyone else to fall into the pit if what they do don't work." He reached for an arrow. He had another idea that might work, but for now, he'd let the others see what they could do.
  21. Pan of course looked absolutely surprised when the headmistress started singing, then, a half second after the other students let their applause of the act known, he joined in, eagerly clapping his hands while letting out a short laugh. "That is simply brilliant! I had an inkling the headmistress could growl, but not like this! Brilliant!" He was eager in his applause, but not really out of character, no. He made sure of that.
  22. GM Alice had been laughing and walking, hanging on to Micah's every word, but fell completely silent the moment they entered the garden and she spotted Judy and Ashley. "You must be Judy." There was a certain dominance, an air of superiority to her voice. "Elizabeth thought you'd want to know about me and Micah, not that I have any idea why." She looked at Micah, then back to Judy again. "Tell me, why would you be interested in what I do with my Micah? It seemed important to Elizabeth, at least."
  23. Right, I forgot that. Passage of time and all that. Power check: 10 She's shutdown for that. @angrydurf: Feel free to include that for your IC.
  24. Pan frowned at the accusation. "Borrowed, not jacked. Well, took him for a walk, at least. Just did a friend a favor. Sir Woofington is back home. now." He shot that out quickly in the moment Ms. Hancock was between him and Ben, then looked up at her with, well, mischief in his eyes. Not exactly a rare thing to see there. "I am quite sure she will, Miss Hancock, but I thought we were supposed to learn to be heroes, here? How could I, as a hero, let down a friend in need, that just needed their dog taken for a short walk? How could I know that Sir Woofington would have such power?" He pleaded his case, perhaps doing it well, even if he would probably end up back at the headmistress' office anyway.
  25. GM The monster growled, slashing at the space that Justice had occupied the moment before. Then everything went dark from above. "Wha?" The monster managed to say before the container slammed down top of it, trapping it within. All the Emerald Spider and Justice could hear was roaring and the sound of the monster smashing against the insides of the container, trying to break free.
