  1. Justice "Got it!" Not exactly what she had planned, but alright, working together was better than facing this big and ugly alone. Rocket boots activated, she jumped back, out of the way and landed on top of one of the other nearby containers. Putting some distance between herself and the guy and whatever Emerald Spider was gonna do would be best, right? And then the container came flying down on top of him. Robin just stared for a moment, then broke into a short laugh. "Ha! That was awesome!"
  2. Justice backs off, landing on a nearby container. Prepares an action to shoot at the bad guy if he breaks out. Now trapped, the monster hits the container to try and break out. The container gets a +10 TOU vs. DC27: 30 Alright, that was awesome, he's trapped for the moment. @Tiffany Korta, you're up. 16 - Emerald Spider - 2HP - Unharmed 13 - Justice - 1HP - Unharmed 9 - Enemy - Bruise (x1), Trapped in Container (TOU+10)
  3. GM "I thought your powers didn't work when you were bound." Jonathan was clearly more suspicious than the others, but he seemed to let it go. Crimson Cross, for her part, seemed fascinated by the golden glow, hesitating to reach forward towards the light, before pulling her hand back. The old preacher frowned in the light. "Well, if you must, but I like to think of this as a sacred darkness." They continued down in silence for another moment, befoe coming out of the rock, into a large underground cave. How it could even be there was anyone's guess. It probably shouldn't fit here, under Southside. A long path stretched ahead, to a steep drop. Of course, Agnes would probably first notice the powerful stench. Dirt, blood, rot. Coming from the direction of the drop ahead.
  4. GM That fun stood before them. They were on an all but empty city street, about a third of a block from the nearest crossroads. The building before them was like most of the buildings in Bayview, but on the ground floor, a single shop stood out. It seemed almost sandwiched in between a pair of apartment entrances, like it wasn't really supposed to be there. The door was old and wooden, rather out of place on the otherwise modern builing. The door had a small sign at eye height that said "Antiques" in a somewhat gothic font, golden letters on black background.
  5. Forever Boy "Let us agree to disagree." Pan did not seem entirely pleased with the effect of being in two places at once, however brief it might have been. He shook his head to regain his wits, then made another quick shake in response to Mia's statement. "No, I do not believe that magic is the issue. It has more to do with the ones that use it." He shook his left hand, some Pixie Dust spinning around it. "Of course, some would probably have issues with the way I use mine." His lips split into a wide smile as he closed his hand, dispelling the swirling dust. "Now then, on to some fun!"
  6. GM "No, no, no!" Sunburn was practically raving by now. All alone, her friends down, Kanunu with his water, Technaux flying around, Emerald Spider just going all around her. Heat was starting to rise off her body, the air shimmering around her. "Gonna get you, water boy! Gonna boil you!" Flames started to gather in her hands, then the qunatum webbing covered her eyes. For a moment, she was completely silent. Then she screamed. "#$@%! What the #$@%!" Flames exploded out from her, spreading out in a dome of fire that would catch both Emerald Spider and Kanunu within, at least unless they moved fast.
  7. Guessing its on Sunburn, since Technaux is a good guy helping you out! That's a hit, and confirmed crit, so DC25 Ref save: 23 She's blinded and pissed, but no longer demoralized! She more or less explodes, so @Tiffany Korta and @angrydurf, give me a DC18 Reflex Save vs Area attack, then DC 23/19 vs the damage effect. And @angrydurf is up 35 - Technaux - 0HP - Uninjured 19 - Metamind - Unconscious 19 -- 10x Mind Controlled Civilians - 3 Uninjured, 3 entangled, 4 bound and helpless 18 - Shrike - 1HP - KO 16 - Emerald Spider - 0HP - Bruise (x1) 15 - Sunburn - Bruise (x1), Blinded 11 - Dinostroyer - Unconscious 4 - Kanunu - 1HP - Bruise (x2)
  8. GM With the duo proceeding further into the ruins, it soon became clear that they were an almost labyrinthine maze, a fusion of materials, time periods and maybe even worlds. One wall seemed like it might be made of obsidian rock, another was flawless steel. One seemed advanced, much beyond what could be found on Earth-Prime, while another were made from wooden planks. All in all, it was confusing, but at least it made it easier to make sure they weren't going in circles or anything like that. It wouldn't be long before they heard noise. Voices speaking up ahead. An older male voice, talking perhaps to himself, or perhaps to someone else. "Yes, and this one, pick that up. We can use that." A gruff voice in the Imp's language replied that it would.
  9. Doktor'd Rebellion Spending 3 of his 8 PP to buy him Luck 3, leaving him with 5 unspent PP.
  10. Justice The Master, Mind Control and small imps messing things up in Z-Space. Wonderful. "Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to vote on going into the ruins and finding that master guy." Robin responded, raising her hammer to point further into the ruins. "Whoever that guy is, he made these guys hostile, right? I don't want someone like that messing things up so close to the AnneX. That's just inviting trouble, y'know." This really wasn't how she had hoped the day would turn out, but what could you do? "I'll take point, if you wanna back me up, right? But maybe leave the little Imps tied up till we get that mind control business sorted?" She did feel kinda bad about fighting them, sure, but they had attacked, and they didn't really seem all that friendly. So, Justice shifted to her blaster and turned to the ruins, starting to move in. No need to rush or run, better to take the time. Who knew what might be waiting?
  11. Justice Wait. What. What was this? Robin was just staring. That suit Those suits. That was hers. That was her tech, her Justice suit, just with some logos and bell and whistles. Variations on her design, on what she had worked hard to build, to figure out. How? Why? Just... just what? She wasn't a good actor. She knew that. Helped when she put on her suit (and of course she'd brought the belt in her backpack, why wouldn't she bring the belt along, super stuff always happened at the most inconvenient times, after all), but this was something else entirely, right? Robin was staring wild eyed up at the suits on the scene, she barely even heard what Max Mars was saying. Oooh, this was bad. Bad bad bad. So much worse than that guy that had used bits and pieces of her suits and used them to blow stuff up. So, so, so much worse. But Max Mars was a good guy, right? Had that going for it at least, right? C'mon, it was Max freakin' Mars, of course he was a good guy. He was spreading her tech, letting other people get to be heroes, too! So why was she getting such a bad feeling about this? It wasn't just because that was her tech on the scene, being paraded around like something Max had created (and how did he even find her tech to duplicate? She'd been so careful not to leave any bits or pieces left behind, not since that guy that had stolen those bits and pieces to make his armor!), and she wasn't given any credit. Wait. Max had picked her out. For these suits. Did he know about her? They had met a few times before, in and out of the armor, and Max Mars was smart. Much smarter than Robin. He could've figured it out. Wouldn't be surprising if he'd figured it out. And Robin hadn't even thought about him having figured it out. But, but, but... maybe he hadn't figured it out. She should, she should play along, right? If nothing else, keep everyone else from finding out. Robin suddenly felt very aware about how long she had spent just thinking about things, her eyes flickering between Max and the stage, when the crowd roaded at the suiting up montage. "Ye-yeah. I guess so." Not nearly as enthusiastic as before, she knew that, of course. Couldn't help it. She couldn't leave her backpack behind, at least. The belt let her call on the newest version of her armor. More advanced than the version these suits seemed to be copied from. Carrying the backpack with her, she stood in front of the Ultio Suit that had first been revealed, eyes wide. She slowly placed the backpack next to the armor, then reached forward for the suit. What was she doing? This all felt so, so wrong. She had to do it, right? While the crowds watched, Robin started putting on the Ultio Suit.
  12. Pan's attention turned entirely towards Ben. With a heavy sigh, he reached out and placed a hand on the crime-fightin' kraken's shoulder. "Ben, I am deeply sorry, and I am not quite sure how to tell you this, but... the dog only have four legs. There are simply not enough legs for him to be an octo-anything." He spoke with deep sorrow in his voice. He obviously didn't want to let Ben in on this harsh truth. The dog happilly munched away at the protein bar, slobbering and chewing. Turning back to Ms. Hancock, Pan sighed once again. "Well, I suppose, if there is no other choice. I would not not want to create a disturbance, after all." Bending down, he gently patted the giant dog's head, stroking its fur. "I am deeply sorry, my friend, but it was not meant to be! Maybe we will meet again some time!" Finishing speaking, he stood up, waved his right hand around a bit, the dog vanishing in a puff of golden dust. "No need to worry, I simply sent it back to the owner."

  15. Yes, that'll give a bonus +5 bonus. Turns out he's afraid of heights!
  16. Bluff from Pan for trying to distract Ms. Hancock with his rambling: 38
  17. "Ah, Miss Hancock!" Pan did not seem particularly surprised to see the teacher. Really, why should he be? He was trying to stop a rampaging dog (an inadvisably large one, at that), running through Claremont. Of course a teacher was bound to join the chase at some point. And with an almost screeching sound as it planted its paws on the floor and came to a halt, the dog stopped, with Pan coming after and slamming into it before he managed to stop, with the other students that had given chase potentially ending up in a pile alongside him. Getting his bearings after a second, Pan grinned up at Ms. Hancock. "Well, Miss Hancock, I believe that is a rather deep question. I would probably have led with why is the dog here, but to each their own. I believe the dog is because his doggy mother and doggy father loved each other very much, and then there was some wild adventure involving flowers and bees and a while later, the dog was born as a cute little puppy! Now, he is a cute big puppy! And is he simply not the best thing?"
  18. GM Screwtop looked much like before. Beaten, battered and bruised. What Chromium probably hadn't expected was the he was now sitting in the middle of a nice looking office, dressed in the same pants and shirt as the soldiers he had seen so far, leaning back in a comfortable chair, a bottle of beer to his lips, only being lowered when he noticed his son entering. "Jason!" There was a certain slur to his voice. The large number of beer bottles on the table in front of him made the reason for that slur quite claer. "Son! I think we've misjudged these fine folks!" He sounded almost happy. "Go on, go work for them. Do your mama proud, son!" Commander Irons' face showed his distaste of the man, but his words were as measured as before. "Well? Do we have an agreement? Come work for us and learn what you can really do, and we'll bring your dad home."
  19. CHEVAL He did it. He stopped the ship from sinking. So far, so good. Miss Brooks was there, helping people escape, leaving Marcus to continue up ahead on the ship. Figure out what else was going on, how many people were still trapped elsewhere. He made it to the deck just in time to see the silver objects colliding with the coast guard's vessel. "God!" The devastation! The ship was destroyed instantly. This wasn't an accident, this was an attack. Someone was under the water, someone was doing this. But why? His unspoken question was soon answered, with a radio aboard the Elizabeth Dane picking up the broadcast. A ransom? These people were killing people for money? No, he could not let that stand. He would not let that stand, but he couldn't just leave any survivors on the ship on their own... but perhaps he had another choice. The silver ball came from under the water. Was whatever it was coming from down there? From this Dreadnaut? He could see the others gathering. Good, but they still needed to clear the ship. And protect everyone that had gotten off it from another attack.
  20. "More than happy to offer you "next", if I can get the puppy to slow down!" Pan was obviously struggling with the inadisably large dog, his feet planted in mid-air as if he was trying to stop it with air resistance the same way one might try to hold back a rampaging bull by putting ones feet in the ground. "Come now! Nice dog! Good boy! Heel!" The dog didn't want to stop, of course. It continued its path of mayhem through the school, happily barking and panting the entire way. It was really quite something that some could ignore it, even if they played loud music. The dog seemed to be having the time of its life as it pulled Pan along for the merry ride. With Ben and Leroy close behind, the mighty mutt seemed to set its sight on Max, howling as it ran towards her, changing course slightly before a collision with Leroy's crystal, continuing on its path.
  21. @TheAbsurdist: Can I those saves? Else I'll roll them for you. @Thunder King: Can I get a post?
  22. TOU save vs. Coup de grace: 30 Welp, he's still in the fight.
  23. GM "Light..." the old preacher muttered, reaching up with a hand. "Curious." He stood back up to his full height. Up close, he somehow seemed taller. "We can do with some light, in these trying times. Come. I will show you the work." The old preacher led the way, towards the cross. Jonathan behind Agnes, Crimson Cross standing by the preacher. The preacher motioned towards the giant cross, and the winged woman pushed at it, revealing a hole behind it, with a lever. The old man pulled at it, and the floor they stood on started to descend, like an elevator, slowly falling into the darkness. "Our work is might seem terrible at first, I know, but it is just. This city... Southside... it taints the people of the street. They grow selfish, cruel. Become nothing more than base animals." Everything turned dark, as the descent continud. "We bring them justice."
