  1. Let's get some Initiative, just ahead of time to be ready.
  2. GM "Nothing about this blasted whale is typical, or even natural." Gepetto made his thoughts on the matter quite clear, crossing his arms. He seemed quite annoyed with the entire thing. "It is one of the great beasts. All of them nothing but trouble." Shaking her head, Red grabbed hold of the man and pulled him along. "Come on, Gepetto. The lass is making sense, we do not want Ahab messing up the city." The old man groaned, but came along. "Fine, fine! Come along, children. I will show you the way to the City." For a short while, they moved through the corridors of the whale, long caverns. Without Gepetto, they would probably have moved faster, but would have been lost in the maze that was the inside of the great whale. Turning around a corner, the darkness faded. A large cavern before them, illuminated by torches a long a path, leading to a small island in a lake of stomach acid. The entire cavern, island, walls and roof all held scraps and pieces of houses, ships, castles and all manner of debris, held together by rope, spit and prayers. It was a chaotic mess, but still, it was clearly a city. A city of the lost, of the disappeared. Commotion could be heard from inside the city. Someone was fighting, people were yelling!
  3. Justice "Oh god." Robin clasped her hands in front of her mouth at the sight of the melting creature. "We... we gotta do something!" She jumped down from her position, rushing towards the containers. "Its melting! The monster's melting!" She was panicking. Rationally, she knew she should keep her cool, knew she should stay calm and try think this through, but she couldn't. This thing was a monster, sure, but maybe it hadn't always been? She... she had to do something!
  4. GM Inside the container, the creature seemed to be gasping for air. Whatever was happening with the cramped space and the lack of air, it didn't seem to handle it too well. It felt forward on all four, gasping for air and collapsed. Even from the outside, the sound was clear, as its heavy body hit the floor. As Justice watched, something was starting to happen to the creature. Slowly, the bones that protruded from its body seemed to start melting. The effect started at the outer layers, the furthest away from its body, but quickly, it stared working its way in.
  5. The following heroes have decided to give being a team a try: Emerald Spider Justice Kanunu Meta-Naut Protectotron Salvo Santa Muerte Venomax Visionary Waverider So far, the team is unnamed. They're currently working on figuring out what MarsTech is up to with the whole Ultio Suit thing.
  6. Alright, thread is winding down, which is fine! So, OOC, who wants to try and get an Ultio Suit off a rich kid? Then I'll start a follow up thread for that. Looking for 2-3 people at most.
  7. Justice That... didn't work at all. Robin stared at the thing. If she was wearing her own armor it might have done something, but she wasn't, was she? She looked down at her backpack, her belt was in it... she could fly down and grab it... Saving everyone was more important than a secret ID, right? Right? Robin was just about to go, when Max Mars called out to everyone, and the beast screamed at them. Robin threw her hands up, covering her ears. The sound was way too loud, it hurt, but... No. Grabbing her own armor would take too long. And Max was throwing armors everywhere, to everyone. And another realization crept up on Robin, as Max Mars talked. The way he was talking, everything he was shouting... sure, Max Mars was bombastic, but all of this, the monster, the armors, the speech? What if Max Mars had prepared everything? What if this was all just a stunt to get his suits the attention he wanted? He had stolen her armor, he had used her tech, mixed it with whatever else was in these armors. That was one thing, right? Bad, but not that bad, but... but bringing in a monster like this, somehow getting something from Z-Space to come here? Would he really do that? Could he really do that? It didn't matter right now. It couldn't matter right now. Full power to the boosters, Robin set off directly for the beast, tackling it and grabbing on to it, doing her best to pull it back to give everyone else a clear shot. She would have to worry about Mars next. Right now? Right now she had to save lives.
  8. Justice Will Save vs. Intimidate: 29 Justice flies at the thing! Let's try to grab the thing's tail and pull at it with a grapple. Attack: 18, that should be a hit, so grapple: 1d20 + 4 (Base Atk) + 6 (Enh. Atk) + 2 (Str) + 6 (Enh. Str) + 2 (Super Str) = 1d20+20 = 37
  9. GM "Who dares!?" The dragon twisted and turned, looking around to try and find the source of the attack. Not just smoke, but fire released from its mouth as it breathed out heavy fumes. And then, smoke and fire were pulled down. The dragon's glare turned to Levity, as it flapped its powerful wings to remain airborne. "What treachery is this? You dare to lay a hand on me? Do you not realize that I have come here to liberate you all?" It seemed to be working itself up, more and more smoke and fire coming from its mouth and nostrils, and then... a barricade hit it. The dragon slammed the barricade with its tail, breaking it apart, then focused its eyes on the silvery champion below. "YOU!"
  10. TOU: 23, makes it. The dragon shakes off its dazed condition, but can't do much this turn! @Torpedo Lass is up. 31 - Levity - 3HP - Unharmed 17 - Chromium - 1HP - Unharmed 12 - Dragon - Bruise (x1), Dazed
  11. Justice They didn't stop. Of course they didn't stop. Why doesn't anyone ever stop? At least the armor took care of the shots that Robin couldn't dodge, the bullets bouncing harmlessly off it. Still, shooting up close like this, it seemed kind of not smart, didn't it? Weaving under one of the men trying to throw a punch at her, Robin uppercutted him in the face. He just stood there for a second before falling over, while Robin moved on to the next one, kicking him to the side. The familiar hum of the engines booting up in her gloves and boots before each strike was somehow reassuring, as she delivered a two punch combo to another guy, slowly moving closer and closer to the leader. Finally, another kick sent the last of the goons to the floor, with just the man shouting orders. "Alright, Olek, we got your goons. I don't know why you've been up to this, but tell everyone to stand down now, alright? You're going to jail, there's no reason you're gonna get hurt too, right?"
  12. Switching Justice's MOVE System to Impervious Toughness. Justice attacks the Minions in front of her, taking 10 and using takedown attack. Rolling 4xTOU vs DC25: 17 22 22 6, all fall down, leaving just the leader standing on the roof. @Tiffany Korta is up. 23 - Kanunu - 4HP - Unharmed 22 - Justice - 4HP - Unharmed - DEF+5/TOU+15 20 - Emerald Spider - 1HP - Unharmed 16 - ? - Unharmed 9 - Mafiya Soldiers x20 - 3 Snared, 16x KO 3x Transports: Protected by Water Dome, TOU 18
  13. Alright, can I see some Initiative rolls?
  14. Yes, that hits. Since its a natural 20, its a critical hit, which, using our house rules, gives you a few options: The most common by far is the Increased Effect, but which one do you wanna go for?
  15. Pan has strong opinions on wanting to try all the food.
  16. GM The motorcycle gang came to a halt. The man in the front, a Japanese man in his early twenties, leaned forward on his bike, resting his arms on the bike as he looked at the two heroes. One from above, with a yellow cape. One in black and purple, silent. The black haired man in the front, the obvious leader, was dressed like like something from an 80'es buddy cop movie. He wore black wrap-around sunglasses, a white t-shirt with a light blue sports jacket over it. On his lower body, he wore jeans and slip-on shoes. The rest of the the gang was dressed along the same lines. The sleeves of the jacket was rolled up, showing off an impressive amount of color tattoos of dragons, demons and the like. "Run along, little heroes." He smiled, as he pushed his sunglasses up to his forehead. "This isn't your business, it doesn't concern you at all. Everyone else here knows better than to get in our way, but maybe you should learn too, yeah?" He waved his right hand, and the other gang members stepped off their bikes as well. "This is Jadetown, little heroes. You don't get a say here. Now run along, before you piss me off."
  17. GM Despite Maxine's taunting distracting one of the thugs, they both turned towards Ivy, raising their weapons and starting to fire. Seeing their third member being skewered by a spear seemed to have a profound effect, as they didn't even get close to hitting Ivy, the bullets flying wildly around. From his seat, Armstrong sighed yet again. "Really? That's it? Where's the damn difficulty setting for this thing?" He pushed up from his chair, and stood to give the events in the room one last look, then activated the automated program, turned and walked out of the booth.
  18. Well, you can only taunt one of them at once, but rolling for Thug 2, cus just because: 11, not even close. Both turn to Knight of Earth and fire: 11 17, and both miss. 16 - Thug 1 - KO 16 - Thug 2 - Unharmed, Shaken (-2 to atk & checks) 16 - Thug 3 - KO 16 - Thug 4 - Unharmed 8 - Knight of Earth - 4HP - Bruise (x1) - Wall TOU+10 - Unharmed 7 - Spectre - 0HP - Unharmed
  19. Pan looked over to Adam and his nervous mutterings. He had been pacing, sure, but he was bored, not nervous, no. Of course he wasn't nervous at all. It was another adventure, it was another thing to do and experience, just an ironic date, after all! Not so for Adam, of course, no. For Adam, it was obviously life and death, despite the time that he and Lulu had spent together. "Those movies and shows were just stories, Adam. Of course they did not end well. Stories like that thrive on conflict." He moved closer, throwing an arm around Adam's shoulder, while he held his other hand up, open, holding it up above to draw Adam's attention to it, as he painted pictures. "Now, Imagine your story! You have had plenty of conflict, no? This is the part of the story where everything winds down, and the heroes (that would be you and Lulu, of course) get their well deserved reward of some peace and quiet!" He, of course, didn't add anything about any plans or anything, no. Any mention of any plans would be preposterous, when no one had any plans. Obviously.
  20. "Not gonna lie and say you look like everyone else, but I've been around, and I've seen a lot." Parker smiled as he did his best to reassure the heroine. Alien or not, did it matter? Once in the crater, he paused for a moment, focusing. They could smash through the ground, but there were tunnels down there. He could go in there, but probably couldn't bring his new friend along like that, and it wouldn't mean anything if people had to get out of there. Then she started moving, far faster than his eyes could initially follow. He took a short breath and focused. He could move fast, but it wasn't quite the same, was it? Focus the right way, and move. Cutting out all movement between, he picked up debris, moving it to the side, one by one, piece by piece, as much as he could grab. He was just there, then back to drop it off, then back. Unlike his new friend, it was not exactly super speed, no. She wouldn't even be able to see him moving between his positions.
  21. Gonna spend a HP on stunting some Speed and Quickness off the Space Movement array, then! As for descriptor's, he'll basically be using his powers to complete each movement instantly, cutting out all the unnecessary movements between for speed!
  22. OOC for this. @Growth Spurt, @Exaccus
  23. GM Jadetown, Emerald City April 12th, 2020 1:00 PM If anyone in Jadetown celebrated Easter, those plans had long since been abandoned. A gang of young man had roamed the streets for weeks now. They caused trouble, assaulted and robbed the citizens, and every attempt to get the police to intervene had met in failure. Clearly, someone was protecting the gang. Most of the citizens of Jadetown had accepted the trouble and the almost daily attacks, but one, a young man named Gai, had not. He had run for the streets, and somehow, he had gotten the attention of two heroes: Venomax and Visionary. He had begged each for help, to come and stop the gang, to do what the police would not. Maybe they had listened, maybe they hadn't. Time would tell. Now, the gang was roaring through the streets once more. Twelve ultra modern, high powered bikes tearing through the streets, the riders shouting as they knocked down anyone or anything in their way.
  24. Alright, let's try for a search: +3 from Int, +2 from super senses bonus: 9 Nope. Would using Spaceman's Move Object with Precise make moving the debris away from the stairwell quicker? What can Spaceman sense under the floor? Is there an open space there?
  25. Pan paused, looking after Eira with a puzzled expression. He seemed a bit lost, as Erik moved after Eira, and Talya focused on the other students. He held up his wrist with the scarf, and slowly untied it, passing it wordlessly between his hands as he moved closer to Talya and the other students. He didn't really seem to focus on them, in any way. Instead, he seemed like he was just listening, looking around the room.
