  1. Sure, that's more or less fine by me. It's a shame that Cape's gone, but we can keep going.
  2. Terrifica's Nano-Fiber Battlesuit has a Wrist Computer as a Features power. Do you think I could stunt a Datalink off of the Wrist Computer? The idea was that it was essentially the Device version of the Laptop Computer Equipment.
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Peoples Flatteners of multiple cities. The ones who finished off multiple nations. Only stopped by the raw might of Egypt in her prime. And we really don't know who they were. Interested? I know I am. Time travel stories, awayyyyy.
  4. I have to get my laptop's power jack repaired. It's got almost nothing left. I could be gone for a while, if they need to order a part. I'm not doing it today because boring double shift tomorrow, but by Tuesday it'll be in the repairman's hands. Also, I'll be staying out of chat for a while. If you need something from me, shoot me a PM or make an OOC post or something.
  5. http://orokos.com/roll/255201 12 on Notice. Orokos still not liking me much, I see. http://orokos.com/roll/255202 And 23 on Search. I see, the ol' bait and switch.
  6. New standard rule. If something's ambiguous, ask me about it. It's almost always something I didn't think to include.
  7. Samaritan shrugged. “If there was anyone one else in there, I’d have see ‘em. But…maybe there’s a smaller version of whatever that was out there. A nasty surprise in the middle of first aid we don’t need.†He bounded inside. “Errant, get the ground floor, would you? Uppers are all mine.†The foursome in the basement looked like they’d fought a war. Two, even. They were wearing more or less identical uniforms (mostly black, but with silver belts/waistlines) Vonnie hadn’t described them. The males were black, white, and Hispanic. The Hispanic man was fairly tall, about 6’ 3â€, and built like an NFL defensive end. He looked like he had some mild burns (and his uniform had a few charred places) as he stepped forward, shielding the people with him. “Lightning. Company.†The black man, who while not as big as his associate remained above average size, turned from the machine where the white man was crouched working. The latter did seem to be the smallest of the three. “I have eyes, Charger.†The lone female was white, with hair the shade of Terminus orange. She lay against the far wall with her eyes closed and breathing regularly. Unlike the other three, she wore gloves, the exact same shade as her hair. The black man-Lightning, presumably-spoke to Endevour. “Well, this is awkward. Erased, how are we doing over there?†His voice was one of hardened authority. This was a person who was using to both leading and getting his way. The white man stood up and sighed. “It’s not gonna work.†His voice was calm and easygoing, as if he didn’t know how to be rattled. “I told you, I’m only but so good at this stuff.†The machine seemed to be little more than a thick ring with a boxy control panel attached to the size. The steel was heavily scorched, and the smell of burnt metal was heavy in the air. “It got us here, it can get us back.†“Boss, the cage is broken beyond my skill to repair. I don’t even know how it worked in the first place.†Erased turned around to reveal the most generic white guy that had ever drawn breath. Even in good lighting, this was the kind of guy nobody could pick out of a lineup. “Fried cables and melted wiring everywhere.â€
  8. Vonnie was bored. B-O-R-E-D bored. There was a moment where he thought he’d have to step in to avoid a fight, but the girls proved themselves deft at smoothing things over. So, he just half listened to the two chatter away about nothing, and was very, very bored. He had finished his lunch a while ago, and, was keenly aware that half the room was still sneaking looks in this direction. He no longer wanted to be in this room. He just couldn’t think of a good excuse to get him out of it. Until his spatial awareness picked up on Errant’s posture. Heh, he wants out of here more than I do. **** it, let’s go. He got up and slung an arm around Errant’s shoulders. “What’d you say we go do some guy stuff, eh? Let the ladies go bond and we can meet up with them later?†He leaned in and whispered in exaggeratedly conspiratorial fashion. “Let’s blow this pop stand. I’m tired of sensing all the stares, aren’t you? You can split when we’re down the hall, if you like.†Vonnie didn’t know a thing about being a telepath, but he did know a bit about being able to mentally sense everyone in a room whether you wanted to or not. He also knew not everyone was the chatty type. It didn’t take a genius to realize that Errant had both things going on. And, well…he was called Samaritan for a reason. He unleaned. “Ladies, it’s been fun, really. But it’s time for that most sacred of rituals, male bonding. That’s right, we’re going to pee against walls, fart without excusing ourselves, scratch below the belt, and all that guy stuff.†He attempted to guide Errant away with his arm.
  9. Can you tell me what the fall damage would be like?
  10. http://orokos.com/roll/254315 13. +2 equal 15, but either way the worm has turned. Orokos no longer likes me.
  11. “I don’t think we have, either. I’d remember a meteor girl.†Samaritan swung in out of more or less nowhere. “Got some hero stuff to do, ‘Rako?†Vonnie wasn’t one to pass out nicknames indiscriminately, but both Sakurako and Endevour were a mouthful, and he was a linguistically lazy city kid at heart. He grinned cheekily. “You misspelled my name, you know. That last I doesn’t belong.†His spatial awareness informed him that all four of the others were girls. I feel so token lately, and not in the “marchin on Selma†kind of way. Of course, when your only expected option is, well, Errant…being the token male ain’t so bad.
  12. Momma Said? Vonnie Murray. Samaritan. Just about everyone has the link to their sheet in their signature, TO.
  13. Oh, hell. Put Samaritan in here, too.
  14. http://orokos.com/roll/251944 Reflex save. Oh, hey, 16. Worked for once. http://orokos.com/roll/251945 Fort save 15. Good. http://orokos.com/roll/251946 Toughness save. 17. Well. How does that round, again? Either way, attack roll time. Can't work with monster attacking you. Since these are minions and Asad s 21 was effective earlier, taking 10 (minus the bit of power attack she can do) for a 23 result should hit, yes? DC is 22.
  15. You got any you want to do? Because I don't need anything from you just yet.
  16. Pole Vaulted by HG Morrison This is for Terrifica. Finally have that 12 PP. Terrifi-Staff is moved from Equipment to an Easy to Lose Device, and gains some new powers in the process. Also added to the fluff so that she has it mentioned there.
  17. Vonnie didn’t look at the newcomer. He didn’t have to, thanks to his spatial awareness. Plus, he was kinda busy, you know? “What you do expect me to do? I don’t know anything about fires, man. Other than to keep the people as far away as possible. And that-“ He pulled as hard as he could and another door popped free. “-is what I’m already trying to do. All I got is my hands and my grapples. I can’t pull that liquid trick of yours. These are cables.†Painstakingly braided so they wouldn’t slice right through his hands monofilament wire cables, but whatever.
  18. Terrifica shrank back a little further behind Miracle Girl, grateful the younger female was so much larger than she was. She spoke softly, but managed to convey a sense of being insulted.“Karate Japonese. I Chinese. Chinese know kung fu.†With that much settled, she tugged softly on Miracle Girl’s sleeve. “Meg. Go there, please?†She pointed at the poetry section. “Father say know…†She sounded it out dubiously. “Po-et-tree, know life.†She whispered softly into the younger female’s ear. “The android went there, I saw it.â€
  19. Red Rat & Revenant The warehouse was in a disused portion of the Waterfront. It wasn’t all that large, as warehouses go, but more than large enough to contain a small army of thugs. As it stood, a few rough looking gentlemen stood outside of the only lit door. There were other doors, but they were (literally) boxed in. The wooden boxes were large and looked quite heavy. However, there was always the roof, where as it turned out a lone woman was perched over the few in front of the door. A normal person wouldn’t have seen her, but The Rat’s enhancements and Revenant’s living impaired eyes were more than good enough to spot her. In fact, the Rat’s computer, SLAVE, noted that this was the same archer they’d met earlier in the evening. Blue Jay, Red Rat, & Revenant Said archer was readying her next move, which no doubt would ruin the night of the three thugs by the door, when one of them decided he’d like to look at the sky…and spotted Jay. He looked her right in the eyes and held a finger to his smiling lips in the classic “shh†gesture. Then he strolled inside without warning his colleagues she was there. The other two were deep in conversation about the same ball game the two on the roof were discussion earlier and barely took note of his departure.
  20. The lightning striking the building accelerated it’s pace, hammering it over and over until it seemed impossible that it was still standing and/or not on fire. Until it suddenly stopped, and something out of Nicola Tesla’s darkest dreams dove out of the sky. It was made of electricity and resembling nothing less than a griffon straight out of ancient lore. It swooped over our heroes, forcing them to duck instinctively. Then it turned and burned sky (almost literally, the air was blackened) towards Wharton Forest. Vonnie gaped. As the thing wasn’t a solid object, he hadn’t known it was there until his eyes saw it. “Did…did you guys just see that? I’m…not finally losing my mind, am I? That was a lion. With wings. Made of lightning. Right?†The rain finally slackened slightly. There was no thunder and lightning to be had. After everyone who wanted to had responded, Vonnie’s head twitched back over to the building. He did not say anything Errant hadn’t already sensed. “The basement. Four people in there. Fancy machine. It’s not big, though. Three males, one female. Around our ages, I think. Maybe a little older. They seem…ragged. Their clothes aren’t in good shape, and neither of their bodies. Whew. Spatial awareness still works. But then what the hell was that thing?â€
  21. http://orokos.com/roll/249886 Right on the button. 22.
  22. This was growing more and more unnecessarily complicated by the second. Terrifica frowned, irritated. Honestly. What did any of them expect me to do down here? Punch these things? Or perhaps talk the nanites into giving up or going home? I don’t have the firepower to deal with this sort of thing. For heaven’s sake, most of my battles are against humans. This is…a bit out of my area of combat expertise. Still, it would be better if I was closer to that mound. She took off running, almost as fast as she could. “Citizen? If you and your friend would hurry up and open this thing. They’re trying to eat me, down here. It’s exactly as unpleasant as it sounds.†She had the presence of mind to stop running just short of where the mound was writhing around. “The sooner we finish this, the less of a cyborg I get to be.â€
  23. Maybelle McQueen was playing hooky from the Southern Queen for a bit. The lunch rush was over, and well…it was kind of boring between rushes, to be honest. So, she went to the zoo. She’d never been, despite living in Freedom for a few years now. She did not order any food. She did not consider anything cooked on a glorified hot plate with the cheapest ingredients possible by someone who barely met the qualifications of fry cook, food. Dipping Dots, though? That was the finest mass produced ice cream on the planet, in her view. And then everything went wrong. Screams of terrified people echoed throughout the zoo. Roars of incited predators did likewise, as well as the noises of the other animals. A silver forcefield surrounded Maybelle McQueen. Queenie was on the job now. Whatever the issue was, she’d protect everyone.
