  1. Then I guess Queenie can handle the bears?
  2. Queenie literally had no idea what to do. No enemies to blast, nobody in imminent danger. She wasn’t about to presume she could just take charge and give everyone their marching orders. Well, she did have a few ideas, but you know…she wasn’t Fast Forward, Grimalkin, or Triakosia. She was just a chef, and this was as far from the kitchen as it got. Who was she to say anything? “Well, I can help with air support, too. Or I could put something over what Grimalkin did. I…don’t know how to do both, though.â€
  3. http://orokos.com/roll/248963 Reflex save 11. Sigh. http://orokos.com/roll/248964 Fort save 18. Good. http://orokos.com/roll/248965 Toughness save 11. Well. That won't do. Hero point reroll! http://orokos.com/roll/248966 And 13. Well, 23. Orokos just doesn't like me anymore. Nothing to do but start running towards the middle.
  4. Samaritan had noticed the accident chain from atop a building near the bridge. It wasn’t his habit to play hooky, but every now and again the need to patrol was stronger than the desire to go to school. He swung in from Hanover and started helping people out of their cars. Even as strong as he was, it took some effort to pry open bent steel and aluminum. “Hang on, I’ll get you out of there.†He knew that something was going on further down. A robbery or something. But it didn’t matter. People came first. Money and things could be replaced. Lives couldn’t be, not even in Freedom. That thought lent extra motivation as he worked. The flames were moving fast, and he had to be faster.
  5. I was waiting on horn, honestly. That, and time often gets away from me. But, if Errant wants to take that spot, by all means.
  6. http://orokos.com/roll/248473 11. Queenie is sloooooow.
  7. I'm alone in the house for essentially the next month. This means I'm taking care of our dog Shadow by myself. He wants to play. All day. Every day. He's quite insistent on that point. That, along with various work schedule irregularities (sometimes I swear I'm the most reliable person on earth), looks like it's going to play merry hell with my ability to post. But we'll see.
  8. This does sound right up Samaritan's alley, as well. He does a little bit of everything, man.
  9. http://orokos.com/roll/246211 Reflex save...14. That's all right. Perhaps the other two saves will bail me out http://orokos.com/roll/246212 Fort save...27. I'd call that a bailout, yes http://orokos.com/roll/246213 Toughness save...34? That's...not possible. Ah, I clicked the wrong thing. The d20 doesn't change, though. So, subtract the "whoops" amount (5), and...29. Works. Or I could do it again.
  10. The only thing Terrifica could do was roll her eyes and step off of Citizen. I know I’m lighter than Miss Grayscale, but honestly…it’s rather insulting to be forgotten. “Then I suggest you tell both of us how to do it properly. Being turned into a computer could end up being a fascinating experience, but I very much doubt even I could turn it to my advantage. Besides, I do not require more processing power. I already have more than enough.†She glanced around at…what were those, anyway? Jackals? Made by or for this…computronium? Oh, now I need a small sample. It’s virtually a sentient material. Quality decision making, highly adaptive…oh the things I could do with it. After the rigorous testing, of course. I will not rush and make the same mistakes of others. I am not a fool. “In fact, I think we are vastly outnumbered, even if they cannot all be seen at the moment.â€
  11. AA? I never had Terrifica actually get off of Citizen like Maxima did. In fact, I had her stay on, as it seemed the safer option. It seems you didn't notice, so. Are you all right with that? I can retcon that she got off, if you like.
  12. http://orokos.com/roll/244389 19. Kind of low, for her.
  13. Happy 38th, Osprey, and may you have many more.
  14. Vonnie triggered his grapples and leapt into the air. As he swung, he added. “Don’t look at me for advice. I wear a shirt and a dollar store mask.†His movement style was part parkour, part Spiderman, and it looked like he was having the time of his life. “What do I know about costumes?†Lincoln. 20th & J. The rain had not slackened on their trip. It continued to come steadily, as if from a faucet rather than a cloud. However, the thunder and lightning had intensified to the point where even Miracle Girl didn’t feel safe in the skies. The energy was concentrated in these few blocks, but a quick search from Casey had revealed nothing out of the ordinary in the buildings. Looking up, Samaritan (for Vonnie had donned his mask again) scanned the skies above. “Does it…look like someone’s fighting up there to any of you?†As if in answer to his question, lightning struck a three story building (a pocket sized discount department store) seven times before any of them could react. The following thunder was nearly deafening. “D###. Three guesses where we need to be.†He took off running, faster than any normal human had a right to move.
  15. Considering Vonnie can only hit 50 while swinging, that might be prudent, yes.
  16. Terrifica >Incursion: Science Team Go! >Brain Drain >A-Haunting We Will Go >Heavy Decisions Queenie >Matter Over Mind >Man vs Nature: Here Comes The Boom GM >Justice Like Lightning >Empty Mirror >All About The Franklins >No Accounting For Taste
  17. Maybe you missed when I said it in Chat, but it's fluff. Just grab the info and go.
  18. That's what I get for writing while half asleep. Guys are thugs, right out of the book. They are a few cameras, but they look old as heck and have been outside from some time. No skylights, but it does have the usual amount of narrow windows at the top. Some of them are boarded up. Some are not. Two things. Said thugs are outside, I made no mention of the inside. Since they're thugs under minion rules, don't bother with that rolling stuff. Take whoever you like out and be awesome while you do it. For the record, inside is a maze of boxes. The office is lit, but dim, much like Esther's apartment was. However, there's no clear path to the office, unless you free run over the various boxes to get there.
  19. Queenie was a little put out. I can too go faster than sound. It’s just really easy to get lost. Does he have any idea how long it took me to find Charleston before I bought a GPS app? It took me a week just to find my hometown from Freedom. Ooh, I’m little ticked. Just for that, you don’t get any dessert, Mister Forward. And I brought some of my national award winning peach cobbler. She almost stuck her tongue out at him, but managed to be a adult and refrain. Oh, well that makes sense. He reminds me a little of Daddy. “Do we have a plan besides being a wall between the psychics and harm? Making anything worth eating starts with a good recipe that leaves room for improvisation. Same goes for the hero stuff, I think.â€
  20. There's Vonnie's post. The other one is written and ready to go, barring any surprises from you two.
