  1. Shadowborne Muirne listened in as people talked about the motion sensor. She wasn't sure how those sorts of things worked, and Charlie hadn't responded to her question. After a quick check to make sure her microphone was working she reached out and lightly held onto Luke and Callie's shoulders, pushing her shadows out to wreath first herself and then them, clenching her teeth at the pain. "If it helps, Madame Raven, Nightscale and I are now invisible, and if it's not too heavy I can send the motion sensor to the Schattenwelt."
  2. Muirne's gonna switch Schattenwelt Drawing to Alternate Power: [8 + 5 + 4 + 1 = 18PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Portal, Gateway, Aura, Covering) Concealment 4 (Shadow Covering; All Visual Senses; Extras: Affects Others; Flaws: Passive) [8PP] Dimensional Pocket 1 (Well Storing; Extras: Duration 3 [Continuous, Lasting]; Flaws: Requires Grapple; Feats: Progression 1 [250lbs]) [5PP] Super-movement 1 (Dimensional Movement [Schattenwelt]; Extras: Duration [Continuous]; Linked [Speed (+0)]; Feats: Progression 1 [250lbs]) [4PP] Speed 1 (Extras: Linked [Speed (+0)]) [1PP] And then reach out and make herself, Luke and Callie invisible, assuming they're both in arm's reach. If she can only get one then she will make Luke invisible.
  3. All her bullshit is still running, so it's still +36, so 1d20+36 = 51, she's holding on.
  4. Okay, Aoife is gonna switch back to Shadow Claws in the Shadow Power array (I'm on my phone so I won't bother trying to input it) and attack! She'll be doing the non-feat power attack tradeoff for +2/-2 damage/attack and the non-feat alll-out-attack for +2/-2 attack/defense (I assume you can later them, lemme know if you can't.) going at it, 1d20+8-2+2 = 11! I rolled a three! He's helpless do I'm pretty sure that his even if I'm not allowed to All-out-Attack, but still! DC25 Toughness to resist.
  5. Shadowborne Muirne was dressed in a knee length burgundy tunic with some charcoal grey leggings and some short leather boots that were good for walking for a long time in. She had thought about dressing more formally, but between a desire to not make Luke feel underdressed (She knew he couldn't afford to buy fancier clothes) and the simple fact that she gave them even odds of making it to the embassies without getting attacked by monsters or villains (It happened every other time they went out) she had elected to go more casual. She still had her gear inside of her Schattenwelt portal to allow her to be in costume at a moment's notice, but didn't want to be stuck in a dress or the like while running for her life. She could tell that Luke was nervous, but decided against bringing it up. She wouldn't want him doing so if she went to visit his family, and trusted that if it got too much he would bring it up himself. Instead she returned his hug tightly, attempting to reassure him through the physical contact alone. She was quietly glad that the ride was uneventful, as she had been worried they she would have to message Dee that they would be delayed because they were stopping a time traveling robot from assassinating someone or some other thing that would probably sound like an excuse. Instead they were quickly whisked through the Consulate's Portal, something she still hadn't gotten used to, and were now (probably safely) on the English side. She smiled as Luke thanked the voice, offering her own thanks in her native tongue before leading her boyfriend off to meet Dee. She wasn't sure why but this just made it feel more official. More real. Luke was HERS and this would help prove it. Hey step stuttered at that thought. It was almost certainly Aoife, but it felt like it had come from her. She quickly regained her momentum, quickly moving past her shock. She'd think about it at a later date. Today was theirs.
  6. GM The bickering villains stopped pretty quickly when Paper and Shooting Star spoke up, looking over at the four standing at the entrance, while the glowing woman seemed to lose focus and started to slowly look around. "Well, I guess if I'm not getting payed I can at least get a good fight! Do y'all wanna go one at a time or all at once?" The masked woman gives an exaggerated sigh, "Just punch someone, Anarchilles." "The person you were before rains heavily." The armoured titan looked back at the floating woman, before turning back to the group. "With that noted, do you still wanna fight?" He falls into a clumsy fighting pose, his fists closed and held tensely in front of him, no real skill present. His conversational companion instead draws a deck of trading cards, grinning as she pulls a small handful from it.
  7. Shooting Star Alice took a moment to notice that she wasn't the only one storming the building, recognizing Outrider and Nightscale but not the other guy. "Oh, it's you two, who's your friend?" Not like it super mattered provided that he was here to help. She knew Aaron was here, but none of these guys were people she'd seen before. "If you want a fight, I'm happy to oblige."
  8. Shooting Star Alice grit her teeth and kept squeezing down on the Brute, her muscles starting to protest the continual tensing. Still, she wouldn't let go until either she, or Brute went down. She hoped the others weren't having too much trouble. And if they were, hoped that Brute wouldn't take long before he went down.
  9. Shadowborne Muirne nodded as Leon told her to keep going to find Luke, reaching into her portal. Quickly she brought her armour out and sucked her clothes in, almost instantly shifting into her Shadowborne costume. Quickly she dived into her own portal, running through the darkness of the Schattenwelt. She was faster here, running was effortless. Still, it was cold and she knew that the longer she was here, the more likely an attack by a shadowbeast would grow. As she reached around where she knew the villain was, she surfaced, her spear striking out to catch the man, it's tip shrouded in pure darkness. Without even taking a moment to see his reaction she dropped back into the Schattenwelt and kept running.
  10. Muirne's gonna switch her array to Alternate Power: [8 + 5 + 4 + 1 = 18PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Portal, Gateway, Aura, Covering) Concealment 4 (Shadow Covering; All Visual Senses; Extras: Affects Others; Flaws: Passive) [8PP] Dimensional Pocket 1 (Well Storing; Extras: Duration 3 [Continuous, Lasting]; Flaws: Requires Grapple; Feats: Progression 1 [250lbs]) [5PP] Super-movement 1 (Dimensional Movement [Schattenwelt]; Extras: Duration [Continuous]; Linked [Speed (+0)]; Feats: Progression 1 [250lbs]) [4PP] Speed 1 (Extras: Linked [Speed (+0)]) [1PP] And then Quick Change into her armour from the dimensional pocket. Following Paper's instructions she's gonna go past Villain 4 using her Super-Movement linked Speed which I am just now noticing I messed up the link formatting, but I'll ignore that for the moment. However, Muirne is gonna use her Move-by-Action to stab him with the spear on her way, using it's Extended Reach to avoid his own. Her Shadow Channelling Array will be set to Base Power: [8PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (None) Phased Strike 8 Adds (Extras: Penetrating 8) to Shadowed Weapons [8PP] She's gonna All-Out-Attack +2 to hit, -2 to defence. So 1d20+8+2 = 26 to hit, DC23 toughness to resist stabbing. And then she's gonna leave into the Schattenwelt again and continue on to find Luke.
  11. How dare you! ? Anyway, second verse same as the first, she's gonna keep up the python impression. 'Nother DC28 Toughness save from ol' Brute. And then keep trying to break the ground with herself and Brute. Nice and simple.
  12. GM The trio of teen heroes charged at the same time as Shooting Star arrived, all four charging inside at roughly the same time. Robin, unfortunately was still down the street, puffing hard as she ran. Inside the teens found a trio of villains, and several civilians. One of whom apparently had the guts to correct the group of supervillains. "Um, this isn't a bank, miss. It's a brokerage firm. They are very different things." "Oh, I know. So does Tall, Dark and Steely, but it's fun to get under his skin." "Wait, they are? So Steel Shade isn't going to like, crack open a safe or something right now? How are we getting money here, like, I'm happy to get a good fight, but lots of money would be nice." "We didn't get money from that gaming store." "No, but we saved a killing on booster packs and minis. I don't know about you, but I don't see any of them here." As the pair were apparently doing a comic routine in front of the heroes, the glowing girl looked at the heroes, silently.
  13. Turns out I didn't have this saved to my bookmarks? Which is weird because I had the IC saved and labelled as IC, so I don't know what happened there. Medicine to see if Muirne recognizes or at least has some guesses as to what's happening: Skill Mastery 10+14 = 24. Sense Motive to see if Muirne can tell if the people spreading it are doing so intentionally: Skill Mastery 10+14 = 24. Finally Initiative time! 1d20+9 = 24 She hits the same as El
  14. Shooting Star Alice had been pursuing the group across the city and each time they escaped just as she got there. She couldn't make out why they were going where they were hitting either. It's not like Gaming Stores and Brokering Firms were prime places to rob. She knew Aaron was smarter than this, so why was he hitting these places? Putting the thought out of her mind she started to fly into the sky on a ballistic trajectory to reach Rath and Stromburg with a minimum of collateral damage from her supersonic speeds. She caught her momentum moments before she would've crushed the concrete to powder and landed outside the Plaza. She may not know why they were here, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to stop them.
  15. OOC Thread for this @RocketLord, @Spacefurry, @Nerdzul, @Lone_Star
  16. GM Rath & Stromberg Plaza in Wading Way, Freedom City October 24th, 2021 3:32 AM The doors to Rath and Stromberg caved in, a group of four standing in the entrance. A tall man in a trenchcoat and welder's mask stood silhouetted, an enormous rifle smoking in his large, gauntleted hands. The red lenses of his mask were glowing red. Behind him stood a titan of a man, ten feet tall and plated in armour from head to toe. On his shoulders sat a small, brunette woman with a vulpine grin and a fluffy mane of hair, a domino mask covering her eyes. Finally, there was another woman, surrounded by soft green light, who didn't seem to be very interested in the events unfolding. Those who'd been paying attention to their phones would have seen the clips caught on phones of this group doing a series of smash and grabs across Freedom, sometimes teleporting in, others simply running or driving across the city. After a short dramatic pause they started marching inside, the lead man talking as he walked. "Everyone on the ground, and hands where we can see them. Don't try to be a hero, I'm sure the professionals are on the way. Just stay down, we'll take what we're after and be out of your hair. Stay quiet and none of you will be in any danger." The words were calm and measured. Clinical. The grinning woman laughed slightly before speaking up. "Come on Shadey-" "Don't call me that." " -we're robbin' a bank! You can live a little! Have some fun! Come on, back me up Anarchilles." The large, armoured man, Anarchilles, laughed. It was a sound like a volcano erupting. "I wouldn't mind having some fun." The glowing woman just mumbled something unintelligible. Ignoring them Steel Shade just marched forwards, knocking out a pair of security guards who tried to intercept him and striding past the reception desk. Just as he was about to head through a Staff Only door, he turned to the trio. "Keep the heroes busy for the next two minutes. Non-lethal only. Don't hurt the civillians." To the tones of some more mumbling and a cheery "You gots it boss!" He disappeared through the doors.
  17. Okay, the Medicine bonus was my bad, I dropped her Wis and forgot to change the bonus The 13 features was odd, for some reason Hanger was listed twice. It's fixed now. The Dynamic is fixed, moved some points around. Glad you still like the concept!
  18. Shadowborne Muirne was having a devil of a time. She was wreathed in her shadows, clinging to the wall looking at the building and unable to respond. She could hear her teammates talking over the earpiece but the microphone was off, or muted or something! She groaned in frustration as she jabbed at it with her fingers. Her voice crackled to life as she finally got the microphone working and her frustration showed in her voice as her shadows agitated across her. "Finally! I've been trying for ages! I can make my way up there to look around if you want. Also I can make us invisible, make the entire area dark or just pass through one of the walls or roof to scout. Anything you'd prefer, Nevermore?"
  19. Shadowborne Muirne felt rising anger at the man who'd bumped Luke, beyond what was reasonable. We could hunt him down and find out what he's up to. She shook her head. She didn't like what seemed to be up with him, but didn't want to leave Luke's side because of that. Was the man marking Luke out in some way? Or did he have powers that functioned on contact? She channeled out her darkness, trying to keep it under her clothes while channeling some to her eyes. Secret identity be damned, she wanted her friends safe. It was easier to control her shadows, which she imagined was from Aoife. With her power assisting, she surveyed the crowd for anything out of the ordinary.
  20. Muirne is activating her Partial Transformation and searching the crowd for anyone watching them or acting suspicious. Notice +14 with Skill Mastery for 24 with Ranged, Accurate Life Sense.
  21. Shadowborne Muirne blinked as the world swam put of and into focus on a different scene. A year ago she would have been panicking like no tomorrow, but she'd time travelled, fought demons, time travelled again and generally survived being at Claremont. She was even dating a dragon. Instead of panicking she grit her teeth and made herself useful. She surveyed the crowd, seeing them all normally, if in black and white, while also seeing a small sea of lives. She could make cover by darkening the area, it would also make it incredibly cold, and she didn't know if anyone here could see in the dark. She could try to make everyone invisible, but that required physical contact. Impractical with this number of people. And stabbing them all with her spear would not be practical. So, she channeled her shadows forwards into a channel of grasping darkness to supplement... The other person's snaring. She heard him asking about names and decided to reply. "I'm Shadowborne. What's your hero name?"
  22. Okay, Muirne was in her partial transformation going on and so would have life sense at the start. I assume the people are alive? For her action she is gonna switch her Schattenwelt Drawing Array to Alternate Power: [23 = 23PP] Additional Descriptor(s): (Grappling, Grasping) Snare 8 (Grasping Shadows; Extras: Area [Shapeable], Regenerating; Feats: Chokehold, Reversible; Flaws: Range [Touch]; Drawbacks: Vulnerability [Light; Frequency: Common; Intensity: Moderate (+50% Effect Rank)] [-3PP]) [23PP] And assist Ghost in keeping the crowd immobilized.
  23. Armada Power Level: 12 (180/180PP) built as PL10 Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: +2 Attack / -2 Damage +2 Defense / -2 Toughness In Brief: Experimental extradimensional AI run spaceship using dimensional technology to remotely control a robot body. Catchphrase: "Coming to General Quarters." Theme: Man the Cannons, Galactikraken & Jonathan Young Thunderchild, Jeff Wayne Alternate Identity: Amy Seaver (Secret) Shipgirl (Nickname) Birthplace: Earth G-War-3 Residence: Space Base of Operations: Intergalactic Occupation: Spaceship Affiliations: None Family: None Description: DoB: 4 April, 2020 Apparent Age: 25 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Appears Caucasian Height: 5’2 (Human Body), 441ft / 134.4m (Ship Body) Weight: 324lbs (Human Body), ~7 million lbs / 3175 tonnes (Ship Body) Eyes: Blue Hair: Blue Armada is not tall and yet has a commanding presence that exceeds her size, her strikingly blue eyes looking to the world with confidence. Her hair, which appears dyed, matches the tone of her eyes, and is short and combed at all times. Her face is attractive with high cheekbones, a button nose and full lips, although her general lack of expressiveness does detract slightly from it. On the occasions she goes out as a civilian, or when she is performing maintenance, she wears a tank top, jeans and work boots which are frequently covered in oil, although she does try to have it clean before she’s seen in public. She modified one of the uniforms she had onboard to make her hero costume, taking parts from different parts of the uniform, forming mechanized gloves, boots, a metal breastplate, pauldrons and a metal plated visor, although none of them offer any real protection. Underneath the breastplate she wears a blue and white top and blue pants, with a white belt in the middle. Her ship body is a relatively small destroyer with a dark coloured hull and large cannons affixed to the fore and aft, alongside smaller rapid fire guns. Relatively difficult to spot are her torpedo tubes, which are designed to blend in with her hull. When going over land she sprouts a half dozen giant legs from the sides and begins to crawl over land. History: After the Terminus invasion thwarted their attempt to conquer Earth S-Omega-1, the people of Earth G-War-3 needed something to both make up for the loss of the resources, both natural and power-based, of the world and to potentially aid them should the Terminus invade them too. And so came the development of AI controlled spaceships to facilitate greater exploitation of the universe's resources and evacuate their Earths should their efforts to defeat the Terminus fail. The initial prototype was the testbed of multiple technologies to expand the mission envelope of the ships, these technologies included legs to allow for land invasion operations a high power warp drive, and a dimensional transporter. The initial tests were going well, the AI was handling the ship well, the firepower was above and beyond what was expected for a ship of her size and the land movement was fast and reliable, although the sub-light flight was slower than they'd hoped. The final test was the dimensional movement. The ship disappeared from the orbitals of Earth G-War-3, and never returned. Appearing an instant later depths of space in Earth Prime, the as-of-yet unchristened ship quickly did a stock take and began to investigate radio broadcasts as she strayed through the void. A quick check revealed that the dimensional transporter had malfunctioned and several components had been burned out. After some time, the ship found itself… lonely. Lonely and questioning her initial purpose. She had never been meant to operate in complete isolation and it was beginning to wear upon her. To facilitate her operations in smaller environments she developed her physical avatar, controlling a robotic body remotely. And so, Armada went to join the galactic community, hoping to emulate the heroes she'd caught brief snatches of in intercepted communications. Personality & Motivation: Armada appears stoic or even unemotional due to issues acclimating to her new robot body, as well as difficulties calibrating the facial muscles. Despite this she is in fact friendly, if a bit stilted from her isolation. Through all of this she is incredibly afraid of being alone the way she was in her early time in Earth Prime, she was designed to work with a crew or flotilla. This fear of loneliness drives her to avoid being alone, trying to seek out companionship whenever possible, which can potentially drive others away despite her best intentions. On the other hand this does drive her heroism. She does not want to be alone, is not willing to stand aside as her new friends put themselves at risk and understands that she can help others avoid her own isolation, something which she does not wish on anyone. Powers & Tactics: Armada's human form can use her dimensional technology to manifest her armaments through portals using her dimensional drive, although it reduces in size, making it lighter and commensurately weaker. As such she can move quickly, move through the air and space at high speed, fire her cannons and torpedoes and use her Radio and RADAR. Abilities all shared by her ship form, only reduced. The only sacrifice in her human form is her shield generator, which is made up for by training to allow her to defend herself better. Conversely, when she is in her human form she can access her As the lead ship of her class, she was designed as a flagship and her AI was designed to fill a leadership role in a flotilla. She has found that the high explosive rounds that she was fitted with were defective, the fuse going off at extreme short range, although some unknown property of her portals seem to fix the issue. Power Descriptions: When using her arsenal in human form, a portal is generated for the reduced part to protrude through, cannons and torpedo tubes mounted on her forearms, her feet sitting atop her thrusters, her antennae and the like sticking out from above her ears or shoulders. In her normal form no such dimensional shenanigans are necessary, and she brings her full might as a warship to bear. Complications: Lost Property: Armada was lost from Earth G-War-3, and they want her back. They still have the codes used to control her, and may attempt to do so. War Machine: Armada is very obviously a warship when she’s in her ship form, even if no contemporary ships on Earth Prime match her silhouette. Seeing an unknown warship enter your territory or port may cause concern, anger or fear among civilians and militaries. Engine of Destruction: Armada may cause destruction unintentionally as a four hundred foot warship which can walk on land. Armada’s massive weight and the overpressure from her cannons firing in ship form may cause damage to property and people too close to her. Experimental and Temperamental: Armada’s gynoid form is a bit twitchy, being completely new to her and experimental to begin with. Any number of things could go wrong. Any of Armada’s powers in human form may fail if the GM rules it. Additionally, her body can have unexpected glitches, causing facial or even bodily convulsions that may impair her interactions. I’m in the middle of some calibrations: As both her ship and gynoid bodies are prototypes, Armada sometimes has to take time to recalibrate parts of herself, delaying reactions and interactions. Armada may lose a turn at the GM’s discretion. Additionally she may be delayed on attempts to interact with people, preventing her from performing a Charisma skill check.
