  1. Yeah, I'm planning out my edits to make it fit with what Fox outlined.
  2. The Dreamer nodded, glad someone was finally willing to talk rather than shoot her and run away. Or plan on throwing her overboard. Or just ignore her. She started moving the ship towards the water. She sighed as the ship shifted direction, smiling slightly at Blackstaff. "I am glad that you are willing to talk, I have had a trying day regarding that." She shifted her legs to sit in a more dignified position than awkwardly splayed out from her. "If something happens, you'll have to hold them at bay until I can land us. I can't defend the ship like this."
  3. Muirne's face turned ashen as Charlie spoke, panic making her heart pound in her ears. They had been sent back in time? She didn't know how to deal with that. What if she never got to go back to the present? And if they had been sent back in time, how far could it go? Could she go back and save her family? Should she go back and save her family, after all she'd have never met any of Vanguard or Pan and Eira and the others, or any of the people here who'd followed her into the cave. She took a deep breath to calm herself. Now wasn't the time for what-ifs, she could do that later. She turned to Charlie, nodding as Luke started his protest when the man landed. It only took her moments to recognise him, the Centurion, the greatest hero ever. She nodded quickly as he gave his instructions, people were in danger and she wasn't willing to stand by and let them die. It's what she'd been taught to do from a young age, be a hero. And then Luke turned into a dragon. Taking deep breaths to calm her jackhammering heart she climbed on at his suggestion. She didn't know if he was faster than her shadow form, but climbing over buildings was doubtless slower than flying over them. Taking great care she kept her spear pointing away from her friend and held on with her shield arm. "Alright, let's go see what we need to do."
  4. Alice shook herself off, shaking off the stunning effect. She flashed a quick smile towards the hero on the roof. "Thanks! Let's take these guys out!" she yelled before shooting towards the man in the window, shattering the sound barrier with ease, smashing through the glass and some of the wall. "Alright, you had your fun. It's my turn now!" She lashed her arm out at the guy, her fist gliding past his head. She once more lamented not taking boxing lessons or something. Rolling with it, she floated in front of the man, cape flapping after the fast movement. "That was a warning shot. Surrender before I actually hit you."
  5. Stun resist: 1d20+8 = 25 She's out of it, and she'll be taking an all out attack (+4) swing at the guy in the window. Attack roll: 1d20+7 = 15 If she hits with that they'll need a DC28 Toughness save. Will write my post on the assumption that she hit and will edit accordingly if I didn't.
  6. Muirne managed to avoid jumping in fright as Luke yelled out to her. She turned to look at him as he ran up to her, a small relieved smile playing across her face as she saw Callie coming too. "Hey Luke, glad you're here. I wasn't sure if anyone would notice the trail." She looked around at the buildings, listening to the sounds of battle. She looked quizzically at Callie at her 'Wherever this place may be' comment. She thought that Callie was a Freedom City native? Surely she'd recognise her home? Although it was an enormous place, so maybe she could be forgiven for not knowing every place here. She hadn't been wherever this was, only recognising it from photos she'd seen online when she looked at what Freedom City was like. "So this isn't the first time you've been in a battle like this?" She asked, "What about you Luke? I've only seen this sort of thing from a distance. I was thinking we should try get civilians out of the way and protected, before we try to fight off the attackers. There should be plenty of heroes protecting the city, but we might be able to make a difference if we work together." Muirne looked to the pair, interested in their reply. If Callie or Luke had experience fighting in a battle like this then it would be a great help, but even without she was planning on trying. She didn't want to lose another home.
  7. Alice felt the now familiar shock of the body shot, but hadn't been prepared to be hit in the face with the electric charge. She staggered as electricity ran through her, dropping to one knee. At first she thought that the crashing sound coming towards her was due to the shock, but quickly realised that there was something heading towards her. At this point she wasn't sure if she wanted help, or someone to beat up who wasn't hiding way too well for her comfort.
  8. Okay, vs. DC 15 Fort 1d20+8 = 26 vs. DC 20 Fort 1d20+8 = 14 (Dangit) vs. DC 15 Notice 1d20+5 = 7 (It is seriously just going down one at a time...) vs. DC 10 Notice 1d20+5 = 25! I just got a nat 20 on a DC10 check! So she is stunned and has no clue where they are, but at least I get to read that spoiler!
  9. Shadowborne: Survival Class: Silver Lining Shooting Star: Rising Stars The Dreamer: Fate of the Serpent
  10. Alice was starting to wonder if these guys could even hear her as she stopped breathing before floating out of the cloud. She still couldn't spot them and it was wearing on her last nerve. At this point should she just fly away? She really didn't want to damage the school, and the only way to get them of she couldn't spot them would be to tear down the buildings and hope she got them with the collateral damage... And they really should just tear down the maths building, it leaked and everything... No, no she wasn't going to start tearing down buildings to force her school to replace them and hurt these guys. Maybe she could just phone the police, tell them there was active shooters at the school with grenades and stuff, that should get them coming in like the hammer of god. But then the police would be in danger and she didn't know how much hardware these guys actually had. When did being a superhero get so complicated? She missed the days when she just got cats out of trees. "Are you done? 'Cause if you wanted to test a million weapons against me you could have just messaged one of my online accounts, I am verified on a couple of things and then you wouldn't have needed to hide in a school like a bunch of psychopaths. So since you apparently didn't hear me the first few times. You. Cannot. Hurt. Me." Alice bit out the last few words, her frustration and anger bubbling into her voice.
  11. Yeah, sorry about the delay. Have one half written that I should be able to get done tomorrow. Just started work over the summer, so I was getting used to having a job again.
  12. Oh boy. This is gonna be fun I think this might be the first reflex save I've made so far haha Reflex Save: 1d20+8 = 13 Oh dear... Fortitude Save: 1d20+8 = 20 Oh yeah! She's still untouchable! Now to see if her eyes work this time... Notice Check: 1d20+5 = 8! It's just going down one at a time! For heaven's sake!
  13. Muirne's focus was devoted on following the voice, missing the whispers of the people behind her. She wasn't going to leave a child who needed help. She continued quietly calling out to the voice attempting to reassure them. She briefly paused when she realised she couldn't see, even despite her darkvision. She continued on into the shadows after the moment of confusion, seeing for the first time what people meant about something being too dark to see. She tried using the flashlight she carried with her before quickly finding that the light didn't penetrate the darkness either. And then, suddenly: Light. Muirne blinked several times to clear the sudden blindness, her eyes adjusting to the world that had suddenly changed around her. She looked around, shocked to find herself back in Freedom City in the middle of a battle. Something in the back of her mind tried telling her that the city was different, that it wasn't the place she knew but she quickly put it aside. She didn't know how she got here, but she had to help. She needed to get any people out of the way of the battle. Freedom City wouldn't face the same fate as her village did. Steeling herself she started to run towards the sound of the battle, spear and shield in hand.
  14. Muirne can't do that roll, so I'll just get to a post of her wondering what is happening
  15. The Dreamer's brow furrowed as she listened to Blackstaff's tale. It wasn't unbelievable, but she felt like he had to be something else had to be involved. If he was innocent then why couldn't he go to the forest clan and tell them? She looked at him closely but was quickly distracted as she saw Alaynah come arrive on deck and point her pistol at her again. She didn't want to drop the ship over the city. She turned back to Blackstaff as Advay talked, nodding as he mentioned talking. "I am willing to talk this out, it would be a refreshing change from how my day has been going. How would you like to do this? I would prefer any parleying to at least happen at a table and in private compared to..." She gestures openly at the collection of people on the deck, and then again at her splayed out legs. "This is hardly the most dignified of positions or locations."
  16. Alice clenched her teeth, shrugging off the electric shocks again. She couldn't spot the idiots, especially with the way these things were dazzling her vision. When she got her hands on these idiots, she was going to crunch their guns into a small ball and throw it into the Sun! She started walking in the direction that the shots had come from, fuming silently. She really just wanted to bring on of the buildings down on their heads, but even ignoring that she didn't know which building they were in she didn't actually want to bring the school down around her ears, the whole reason she was here was so that someone else wouldn't do it! "Are you idiots done?" She ground out, peering around. "Didn't you get the memo? I'm invincible, so give it up and surrender."
  17. Okay, finally got some time to do this: Fort Save: 1d20+8 = 19 Fort Save: 1d20+8 = 16 Notice Check: 1d20+5 = 9 At this point I'm wondering if she's been struck blind. In fact she is spotting them even less than before.
  18. The Dreamer glared over at Blackstaff as he spoke up at the end of her proclamation, her breathing still heavy. "What should I not do, Blackstaff?" She kept her eyes on the man as he stepped out from the stairs, keeping an eye on him as he held his hands open and answered. She had to admit that the man must have very high standards of something being reasonable if he was telling her not to do anything rash while standing on the ship she'd made fly. She kept her eyes on him as he walked to the edge and peered over. She briefly wondered if he was planning on trying to wrest the ship from her when he spoke and started to cast. The Dreamer tensed, and several dream creatures agitated near her, but she couldn't stop him at this point without letting the ship fall anyway. She closed her eyes in relief as he created an enormous fog bank instead. She returned to watching him, her glare softened by fatigue. Her breathing was returning to normal at least as she got the ship 'underway'. It was slow as the creature started to beat it's rear pair of wings to propel the ship with some telekinetic assistance. She kept wary eyes on his hands as the magic vanished. She leaned more fully against the railing as he stated his intention to talk and assured her of his opinion about her ability to defend herself. It was almost funny, she was perfectly aware that without threatening to drop the ship she was helpless to stop others from attacking her. They didn't have to know that, but at this point she was going to have to admit at least some weakness as much as it irked her. "I am afraid that while I appreciate your offer to talk more privately I cannot take you up on that at this point." She patted her right leg for emphasis from where it awkwardly lay on the deck. "I am completely unable to feel or move my lower body. What specifically did you wish to discuss? The fate of the Red Summer, Advay or something else?"
  19. 'Ave everything I want, still not wanting to go too crazy, 'cause Aaron isn't meant to too strong.
  20. 1d20+5 = 6, truly she is a grand and frightening figure
  21. Yeah, I'm happy with it slowing down, it'll become quite slow but that's fine cause it gives you plenty of in universe time to get people responding and it also gives Blackstaff lots of time to do whatever he wants to do.
  22. The Dreamer looked dubiously at Zach. How stupid did these people think she was? Her expression hardened as she went over what was said, they were probably intending to do the same thing to her, and there was no way she was letting Advay go. She tries inhaling deeply to calm herself but it does nothing to dampen the fury building, and her dream creatures start to show their agitation. The Dreamer closed her eyes, trying to calm them when Zach stepped away citing some sound. She could see the boat approaching and heard the man's shocked reaction, processing that they were being pursued when the ship lurched forwards. She was starting to really hate today, regardless of that not being 'so bad' she'd worked so hard to- Suddenly the world turned sideways and the Dreamer felt her body hit the railing. She wheezed as the air was driven from her lungs, and multiple dreams approached to check her over. The Dreamer payed them no mind, checking over her legs to make sure there were no significant injuries to them, since she was pretty sure nothing above is life threatening, although she could feel the bruises starting to form already. I'm starting to get sick of this. The Dreamer was in agreement as the Carnifex's opinion of the situation intruded into her mind, and she started to focus more on her dreams. She half listened to the loud speaker announcement, annoyance rising to meet her anger. She was taking Advay to justice, and nothing was going to stop her. If the crew was going to try and stop her she just had to make sure they couldn't. On that note, she began concentrating. The easiest way to transport them back to Emerald City would be to lift the Red Summer there using a combination of both dream creatures and manipulating reality. Quickly she lightened the hull and reduced gravity for it, causing it to rise higher in the water several feet, but not enough to rise out of the water. Starting to sweat from the effort she conjured a large multi-winged monstrosity, gripping onto the ship with a dozen multi-jointed limbs as it's enormous wings began to beat. Simultaneously, The Dreamer dragged on the ship's hull with her dreams, and the ship rose quickly, enough to force her down against the hull even harder. She reached up, removing her mask as the ship rose into the sky before starting to talk. "I am sorry to say that I do not believe you Zach, and that is just too bad given that I thought that I would be fine with letting Alaynah and the rest of you go off on your way after this. I do not know what inspires such insane devotion here, whether you simply think that I am an easy mark, are getting a truly stupendous amount from Blackstaff and Advay, or if you have such an issue with the idea of a man facing punishment that you'll protect a murderer to the last. Maybe you even swore oaths that you take very seriously. But enough of my theories, I have tried no less than three times to work with you relatively amicably, and have been in turn ignored, shot at and now plotted against." She turned her head to look at him, legs splayed out at awkward angles and breathing heavy from the difficulty of lifting the ship. "So suffice to say that I am rather incredibly upset at how my day is going, especially after I made so much gold, diamonds and money to repay you for the difficulties I had caused. Now, before I continue I am going to issue a warning. Kill me and the ship falls, knock me out and the ship falls, throw me overboard and I can fly, and can still make the ship fall. All you can do is sit in your floating prison and ponder where it all went wrong, while I fly us back to Emerald City. When we get there, I am going to deliver Advay to the Forest Clan and to justice. From there I will lift you and your crewmates off of the ship to a location with a good view as I break your ship on some rocks, which I will make myself if need be. And then I am going to throw every worthless dollar, diamond and gold bar I made for you into orbit, along with every piece of your wrecked ship." She finished her monologue, panting and glaring at the man. "That is a promise from the last of True Dreamer. Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?"
  23. Sweet, that's a lot bigger than the PT boats I was looking at (These two), but I can roll with it easy enough. The Ultimate Power PDF says that objects less than a heavy load move like they were thrown, so that's lifting telekinetically. Don't worry, I'm not yeeting the boat my character is on haha. To keep it moving fast, I'm using Extra Effort to raise Strength of Dreams up 2 ranks for this round, taking effective strength to 90, which keeps her moving at 250ft per round.
  24. Purely because I'm a detail obsessed idiot, is it 250ft or 500ft?
