  1. Can I have everyone's main super-grade mode of transit please? For instance, Endeavor has Flight. I need something to refer back to faster than digging for character sheets. Just humor me on this.
  2. "Clever..." Sakurako thought, looking over the sides of the building she was on. She noticed a dumpster loaded with trash bags on one side. "Saw this on Boondock Saints... I should keep changing my perch..." She thought hopping from the two-story building and into the dumpster... it closed over her head from the force of her impact... luckily the impact gel system injected into the membrane of her suit in time. Although climbing out for a moment on to the rain-slicked and scattered trash bags was almost embarassing. "Great... dramatic but noisy..." She thought, when she thought she saw a rat... with a long tail... Sakurako wasted no time at shooting at it with her EM wand with an electrical bolt before running off into the rainy night of the simulation. "Now everyone knows where I am... Okay... gotta keep my eyes peeled for Nevermore, he's got the distinct advantage in stealth..."
  3. Yeah, a PL 8 Endeavor (once her edits go through) would be okay wouldn't she?
  4. GM Da'lith smiled. "Of course, don't be so self-concious. I know superheroes have their own uniform code. You can call me Setsuna." She said... a fitting name for her Asian form. "I hope my daughter hasn't been much trouble." "Anyways, I wager I'm gonna have to go somewhere. Gotta get this stuff of mine out of the forest... You guys know of any trustworthy scientists I can turn this stuff into? Not that parachutes and heat shields will change much in terms of the balance of power in the world." Setsuna said with a sigh. "Besides... I and Naomi will have to talk. Sometime... wait, am I interrupting anything?"
  5. Claremonter huh? *sees Endeavor suit up* Once I get the update done, Endeavor would be happy to assist.
  6. Seahawk Seahawk could smell the carbon on the suit her mother was wearing. "Yeah, that person was me, was testing a flight pack when I ran out of fuel. Prototype." She looked over and spotted hidden in the woods what looked like a now open and half-inflated ball with a seat inside, somewhat more wide as the woman was tall with several handles, looking quite scorched, as well as what looked like a parachute coming from it. She had questions about that fact too... "So, two questions. Where is your starfighter, and how the heck didn't I see you coming down with that heat shield and parachute?" She said... wanting more information... GM "Well, when I ejected I was in the middle of re-entry... that re-entry bubble forms around the ejection seat when you pop out. The suit itself can take some heat, but the heat shield bubble is just a precautionary piece of equipment. Like that cute little floatie around your neck if you hit water." She said, poking the padded collar on Naomi's suit. "Once I was out of re-entry I activated my cloaking device while I was under chute... didn't want NORAD shooting me down like I was some sort of incoming missile." "I saw you fall in the treeline nearby." She said pointing where Naomi knew she fell. "Thought you landed in the creek, but when I got there all I saw was a little blood and a few busted treetops." "I think my starfighter bounced off the atmosphere because of it's re-entry angle, but I think it was trapped enough in Earth's gravity well where it just came down again. Not that it was in any working condition when I ejected. Thing was... well... a sure death if I stayed in it. I'm just hoping it hit in the ocean somewhere and not any small town or something." She sighed. "Look, Naomi... there's a lot I need to tell you. More than I can tell here." She looked over to Mirror. "I am... hoping you're in the Superhero business, I didn't raise a future super-criminal." She said with a mischevious grin. She extended her hand to Mirror. "I am Da'lith. First Lieutenant of the Ga'hai vanguard...and counting my daughter, I am probably the second to the last of my kind." "And yes, Naomi, you are indeed immortal... and an alien. We're the same you and I."
  7. Seahawk Naomi couldn't believe her eyes, enough to open her helmet and pull back the cowl of her suit. "M... Mum?" This had been a while, the memories of being told both her parents were dead was a punctuation mark in her childhood. She saw her mother's ears and that was when all the memories of her loss started to come to the surface. She knew while her mother's blood and some tissue were at the scene, none of the rescue technicians could find her. They assumed the worst and the body taken away by local scavengers. This... "How did... I mean is immortality a thing for us I mean..." GM The person Naomi knew as Setsuna... her mother... looked over her daughter. "You've grown. I was walking about here figuring a way back to the city... I got... separated from my spacecraft. I... I knew the Communion was coming back so I found my star-fighter and went back to space. Of course I was thinking this when our car got hit by a deer. Your father..." She painfully winced. "I couldn't tell you I had to go. But..." "Naomi... you and I..." "That can wait... seems you have a friend here... I got shot down and I and my starfighter sort of drifted back to Earth. I thought I could ride it back but had to bail early, did some orbital skydiving to get here. I noticed someone fall out of the sky so instead of working my way back to town I tried to look for whoever crashed. You seen them anywhere?"
  8. Sakurako felt the simulated sand, smiling at the warmth. She loved flying, and someday she wanted to show Casey what she had planned... she figured a way to increase her speed... she could be quite, quite fast, in fact. "That was actually... fun!" Sakurako said, turning to her friend. "Once I get the upgrades to the flight system on my suit complete, I should take you for a spin. I've... got a upgrade in mind that theoretically should send me trans-sonic... or a bit faster." She unzipped her vest, setting it aside, while taking out of her box what looked like some odd device. "I've been experimenting with using sound waves to remove water from clothing garments and the human body. So you can have dry clothes and hair almost instantly." She said, turning it on. It in fact did what was intended. Causing the excess water on her to evaporate super fast, but not causing her skin itself to dry out. "Sadly it requires some rare earth metals I recycled from some of my busted computer stuff and a fragment of a rare type of meteor ore... one of a kind." She used it on Casey, and soon she too was dry. "Well, Hot dogs was it?" She said, putting back on her sun dress. "Do you require Kosher food for your spiritual strictures, or any old mixed weiner will do? Or perhaps the veggie dogs? I have a pack of those too. Unless you have an allergy to soy..."
  9. GM The woman saw the two driving near her and stopped, leaning in a tree. She didn't seem threatening, but there wasn't much to her to see what sort of reaction there was. She looks at what looks like a watch, opening the visor to the helmet of her body-fitting spacesuit-like bodysuit. Her piercing green eyes were studying the two, as she crosses her arms again, smiling. It wasn't clear who she was interested in, but she was watching one of the two in the vehicle with great interest, and amusement as the tires were a bit funny looking. "Odd lookin' boat ya got there." Her Welsh accent sounded way more than Naomi's accent... Seahawk Something about that accent sounded familiar... and the voice. She stopped in the water. "That voice..." She steered to the woman and started driving on the large pond until they got to shore. "Okay, ma'am... what's your business around here? There was an incident with SHADOW no more than a couple miles away from where we are now. I think it can be safe to assume we're on the defensive here." The woman giggled a little before taking off her helmet. "Oh Naomi dear, you've grown up. Still the same when it comes to being the girl scout though. Trust me, whatever SHADOW wants I ain't interested." She looked like Naomi, but somewhat older with quite long blonde hair and pointed ears that looked far more pronounced than what Mirror saw. Seahawk froze in her tracks.
  10. Endeavor Endeavor accepted the comlinks, handing them out to everyone. "I'm sorry, Rampart, but pretty much the rest of us is on the waiting game. Although once we head to the ship if that is our objective, I could use Miracle Girl and You watching my back." She said. Looking sad she didn't have any ideas for Cho yet for the now. She turned to Blodeuwedd. "Thanks. You're one step ahead of me there. Now... let's find up what's up with those guys first... I want to know what's up with the buoy out there. Then we can scout out the ship once those guys on the boat get back. That way we can be certain of what we're getting into." "To be honest I don't think they expected a boat of our type being able to come out this far. Never underestimate technology." She said with a giggle. "Okay we got our plan together. Blodeuwedd, good luck. Listen in on those guys, and follow them to the ship. We'll come when we know it's clear. The rest of us, time to get quiet... reaaaal quiet." Endeavor said, putting in the earbud before closing the faceplate on her helmet of her suit.
  11. Between Vonnie and Casey, Endeavor would prefer Casey being "it" as at least she couldn't see where every person was. Vonnie had wall-hacks. Pure and simple. Casey was strong and agile, but compared to Vonnie they were dead even on a sensory basis. In this game of "tag" she would prefer Casey to be "it". She knew at least Vonnie knew where the majority of people could be. But she can't anticipate all the variables with certainty. There are others in the room. Miss Grue with her ability to shapeshift and to amplify her body's capabilities, Nevermore's covert skill, Glamazon was a straight up scion of the Olympians... She was in a real bind. So she'll keep running... She knows at some point someone who is it could come for her, but for now she was going to find ways to observe the tactics of her classmates. She looked up and saw a building, a skyscraper that was only a couple stories tall, and for the area, was a perfect perch for spying. She runs to a side door and uses her EM Wand to break the lock. Once in she spot-welds the door with it, making sure anyone trying to get to her has to find a different way in. That is if they couldn't just punch the door down. She runs up to the top level and keeps her head down as she starts watching.
  12. TEST DATA COMPILED by Thevshi It is time for Endeavor to head into the lab for some... upgrades! I'll catch up with her defenses next time.
  13. As they continued on the beaten down path Seahawk finds another small lake, starting to drive along by cutting through using the small runabout's amphibious capabilities she sees a oddly dressed woman, seemingly wearing a greyish-white bodysuit and helmet. If she knew any better she'd swear the woman looked like she could be at the controls of a space fighter. The suit itself looked quite dirty, and she seemed to be looking for something. "You see that, Mirror?" Seahawk asked, as she stopped in the middle of the lake for a moment, the runabout rocking and swaying slightly. "Think we should check her out?"
  14. Simulation rules: No flying... Sakurako stood in front of the simulator doors. Something drew her back to the simulator room... something that made her think she was making a large mistake leaving these people to start forming as a team... She knew she couldn't do this alone, that giant robot crab she fought was a wakeup call. But to pretty much put yourself voluntarily into self-exile didn't seem logical. She straightened her suit as it switched into the Claremont colors. She put a hand on the simulator's interface as it recognized her credentials. "Computer... what are the current weather conditions?" "Lightly cloudy, night time, full moon." Sakurako grinned. "Increase clouds. Start rain in 30 seconds. This is... too easy." she commanded through her datalink... "Doors... open." The simulator opens up, as she starts twirling her EM wand. She knew she had to vacate and quick... particularly as it seems Casey was already into the simulated city. While everyone was watching Casey, Endeavor ran to their east, behind them, right into some side alleys. She was going to observe... watch... and exploit.
  15. Rob: I'll respond in a little while. I'm waiting for Tiffany to say something.
  16. Okay, what's the situation now, boss. We're all there.
  17. Sakurako's eyes went wide as she started to rise out of the water. She was starting to wish she had her suit on, so she could keep balance using her flight powers. "C... Careful, Casey... not too fast, now. Wouldn't want to have me take a tumble." She said, minding her balance with her arms now out. "Hehe... this is a interesting technique though. Might try to figure a way to use it on a mission!" She looked down. "How well can you turn with this trick of yours?" She felt bad that she didn't have skiis... maybe she should develop some swimming fins that can transform into some ski-like configuration for doing this. So many ideas, so little time.
  18. Seahawk smiled. "Yeah. Although some time out in the woods did seem like a good idea." She said, looking at her hand. "Anyways... we're gonna offroad, I know a trail just down that way that a lot of law enforcement and the occasional hero uses. Goes through a few creeks." She presses a button and the tires inflate into balloon-tire like tires, keeping their treads. "Oh Miss A, thinking of everything." She heads down the paved road to the beaten dirt path and turns down it, starting to make her way through Wharton at a pretty good clip. "So... What brings you to Freedom? Is it the sights or the heroes?" She said with a grin, minding the road. "I came here actually to be a test pilot for Archetech. They picked me up after they saw how good I was with a stunt plane that lost a wing. Managed to steer it away from spectators and bail out at the same time." "Of course this was before I was immortal, so... the risk was a bit greater." She said with a dismissive laugh. It was a scary moment for her, but she didn't want to sound rattled near her passenger.
  19. Endeavor Sakurako grinned, looking over to Blodeuwedd. "Actually... your plan has some merit... I know you can make yourself unseen. If you can fly quietly hover above that Buoy... about 25 feet or so." She said, handing over a Smart Phone. "Put this on record. Whatever they say we might be able to use as evidence. It's real quiet out here so sound carries. Once they leave come back and drop off the smart phone and start scouting out the ship like you intended originally. You have a smart phone of your own? Might need to trade phone numbers so we can use these like walkie talkies. If the deck on that ship looks clear we will approach." She nodded. "Sound like a plan?"
  20. Sakurako touches her EM wand to Phoenix's skin, a warm, painless sensation goes through her body, enervating Phoenix's own healing capabilities. "Seems you took a beating, your left hand had some nerve damage, probably from the extensive electrical discharge you recieved. Luckily electromagnetism can heal as much as hurt." She twirled her EM Wand in her hand as she looked over the machine. "Interesting... this machine has some capability but it's at it's limit... But if I can find a way to better share the load between these circuits... it'd be a jury-rig of a jury-rig..." She pulls out the SIMM chip to her smart phone, pocketing it, then strikes the smartphone against the floor, cracking it open. "What it needs is a wire going from the third voltage regulator to the discharge capacitor over here... and the wire to this circuit pair blew out..." She starts cannibalizing her smart phone, bridging the circuits necessary to have a electrical wiring method of balanicng out the voltages of the machine. "There we go... What' I'm curious about is that full throttle mode you guys got on this machine? There seems to be a central... for a lack of a better term, a miniature Tesla coil. All the power wires lead to it after bridging the paired circuits. and it's connected to some copper up here that would facilitate some form of massive discharge."
  21. Sakurako was walking past the area after she visited a few bookstores. She saw the commotion at the police perimeter, and knew what was about to happen. She darts behind the corner of a building in an alley and while hiding behind a dumpster changed into her signature suit. She buckled up her mission vest and checked to make sure her EM Wand was fully recharged for action. After dealing with terrorist art thieves, robotic crabs that tried to drown her, and electrical griffons, this would be pretty run of the mill. A bank robbery... She stood up, her suit resplendent in Claremont blue and gold, putting on her dark blue rain cape to wear like a dramatic cloak she walked to the scene, keeping a distance for now. She knew if she had to jump in she could, but it seemed that having another heroine jump into a potential fight between two rivals could exacerbate the situation. Then she saw the mecha... Human-sized and bigger steampunk robots. "Now I've seen everything... Steam-men?" She wondered... the technology being used couldn't even be called technology, it was advanced mechanics. Sakurako strode up to the front of the bystanders, honoring the police cordon she turned to the crowd. Her British accent was punctuated by urgency. "Everyone! I think this might be the cue to get to a safe distance!!! Please!" "Who are you?" Someone in the crowd asked. Sakurako pulled back the hood of her cloak. Revealing her helmeted face. "I'm Endeavor... and if you value your lives and your well being you'd keep to watching this on the replay of the News... Safe at home or at your place of employment. Please. Things are about to get dangerous awfully quick." She pulled out her EM Wand which hummed to life. "Trust me, I doubt this is a spectator event by any measure." She kept an eye on the mechanical men... She was getting a shiver down her spine, seeing science unleashed in this manner. "By Babbage's Gears!"
  22. Hey hey hold on guys, I'll be set to post in a few minutes!
  23. Endeavor feels perfectly safe with this crowd!
