  1. Sakurako adjusted her data glasses. She was resplendent in her regalia that was her now upgraded exploration suit, with her upgraded EMWand hanging from a loop on her waist like a sword. The two white stripes on the pink sailor collar of her suit signified this was the Mark II Exploration suit. In fact the pink and white color of her suit and vest was carefully chosen to celebrate the new spring. Sakurako looked over to the starting to drift cherry blossom petals. It would be a day or two more before the beauty of Spring would fade. She was here more for a technology conference, but this experience stole the show. But to Sakurako this was springtime for more than all of the life on the planet... this was springtime for a whole new species of being. An Artificial Intelligence, right there in the digital flesh. A... sentinel of the singularity. "By Kurzweil's Analysis..." This attracted Sakurako. To see a life form created by human hands, but to see it used for mere entertainment... the computing power could solve so many problems, create so much logistical perfection, calculate a cure for cancers or diseases... to simply be an entertainer seemed to be a whole much ado about nothing. Then again, to see a peaceful application for such an advanced being was admirable... and if she chose this life for herself, what isn't more noble than making Humanity happy?
  2. Sakurako was angry, here was her friend... no... best friend being assaulted... but not very successfully. She knew Casey had to remain on the down low, so she had to act quick! Luckily this was the distraction Sakurako needed to suit up. She dived behind a pillar and pulled the scarf on her blouse. "Well there goes my outfit!" She thought as a little trick she set up for getting out of her clothes quickly went into motion as her jeans, shoes, and blouse seemed to rip at their seams and burst as a set of airbags placed at strategic points inflate to popping. Tossing away her torn clothes she puts on her suit and vest over the black one-piece garment she wears for modesty, and steps out from behind the pillar pressing a button on the wrist of her suit tightening it to her frame, not looking too pleased as she stepped over to the would-be thief. "By Einstein's Equations... You really are a mental juggernaut, aren't you, son?" Endeavor queried, leveling her EMWand at the assailant. "Best unhand her, or I will get very, very cross." She said, the EMWand fully deployed, glowing, arcing electricity and at the ready to fire. "Running isn't an option either... surrender? Totally on the table though."
  3. If Endeavor wasn't bound by the game rules, she would be 'ground skating' just above the sidewalk and the water now pooling on it. She was at a distinct speed disadvantage. She was not the physical specimen the majority of people here were, everyone could counter her. Casey's challenge was something that was a threat. In a one on one with no powers, she would be nothing but a paper tiger. Even if it was a super powered game of tag. She knew she would have to augment her physical training at the Academy with her parent's training regimen... That is if she expects to survive if there is a time where her suit isn't an option. Then she comes up with an idea. Standing at an intersection of alleys, she stands in the center. "I surrender!" She shouts. Hands up. "Who'll come first... time to bait the waters and watch the sharks play..." Sakurako thought. She wasn't a physical person, but mentally... her mind was the most dangerous here. She can't win... unless she can out think everyone here...
  4. Okay. Dropping in has concluded!
  5. "Ah, excellent! I had a feeling about this..." She squealed with delight... "Out of print RPG pooks! Now we're talkin'!" She said, wheeling over to that section, peeking up over a bookshelf. "I'm not here for just business, I'm also looking for some RPGs and I'm not familiar with all of the locations that provide my... hobby... adequately." "That and it's hard to break into a game shop's cliques when you just arrived in town." "But this is definitely something nice." She said, turning around. "What does Silberman's usually carry?"
  6. As Seahawk drove up to the diner where they were going to eat, she smiled. "You know... if we do start working side by side in the future, I look forward to the action. I think the two of us had been tossed into some crazy circumstances, so we have something in common, to be honest." She said, putting her semi-long blonde hair into a pony tail. "I think you'd be a good fit with Miss Americana's work. Archetech is trying to improve it's image after it's previous CEO proved to be a power crazy mad scientist." Smiling she pulls into the stall in the parking lot reserved for Archetech test pilots... Naomi loved this perk. "Amelia's Canteen. It's been here since the 1920s when barnstormers frequented the place... it had a different name at the time too. It had it's name changed after Amelia Earhart was lost at sea on her around the world trip. Howard Hughes ate here once. As well as Chuck Yeager." She smiled. "Outside of the testosterone laid out by the military pilots here, it's not that bad of a place. I think I came at a quiet time, thankfully." She opened the door, letting Mirror in first. "After you?"
  7. Sakurako smiled. "I could use a room. My parents want me to stay here. My issues with Hardwire and the need for hightened security, well my parents figured placing me in a place with a hundred or more Superhumans around me is a good idea." She adjusted her apron. "I actually miss the yacht, but to be honest I don't want to face Hardwire in a place where drowning is a possibility." She looked over to Casey. "I envy you actually, not having a budding supervillain as a sister... she almost killed me twice now. I fully expect her to make another attempt. It does seem her vendetta with me though is a personal one and has kept it "in the family" as it were but I have my doubts that will stick." She pulls out a pan and grabs a couple cans of gourmet chili. "How about we get this Chili going... I'm going to check over the RSVPs, and open the room to visitors. I think the students could use something nice after all we've been doing the past couple months with all of the Adults fighting against the Communion." She smiled. "That... and I really need to look like the nice girl... I'm starting to see some personality clashes I'm having and I want to smooth out the rough edges."
  8. Naomi smirked, lifting the backpack with her suit inside over a shoulder. "Well... let's go!" It wasn't long before they got into the truck and headed off. "Well, one hell of a day for me so far, and it's just like..." She looked at her watch. "...1530 in the afternoon. Saved a couple of sailors after Breakfast, crashed in a forest, met you, then stopped a couple robbers who had Archetech property AND somehow run into the Mother I thought was dead." She scratched her head, sighing. "Unreal." "If this is going to be the superhero side of my life, I really hope Miss A understands." She said before facepalming at a red light. "What am I saying? She's a superhero too." She looked over to Mirror. "And... thanks for helping me out at the pond. I lose some control of my limbs after they heal up as the nerves reconnect. That... and the pain." She focused on the street again.
  9. She saw the anomalous movement... "This is too weird... we should keep aware of what's going on. I'd say this was too weird, but then again Weird is status-quo here in town." She said, looking at the weirdness involved with the trash cloud with a quirked eyebrow. "Also the trash might be reacting to some sort of dimensional disruption. Think of it... if something was coming in from a lower or higher dimension, how would that manifest here?" She adjusts her clean-suit, closing up the helmet to her super-suit underneath, and pulling the hood on the cleansuit over it... making it look like she had a clear facemask... "Then again it could be a straight up ghost. Or a manifestation of someone spying on us psychically." "Or it might just be false-pattern recognition." She quirked her eyebrow. "Seems like a lot to say when I mean 'we might be seeing things' eh?"
  10. Sakurako sighed. "Casey. We aren't going to be interrogated here. Relax..." She said, scratching her head a bit. "Just remember, Summer is just a couple months away, the initial deals are starting to creep about and if we don't take advantage, and with the quickness, we'll be looking at trying to figure out how to keep a plus-size one piece swimsuit on." She stuck her tongue out letting Casey chew on that remark. She decided to just do a "random select" method of dressing, she took a long sleeved sailor blouse, but decided to sport a pair of red converse sneakers and a pair of bluejeans. All under a white windbreaker she has tied around her waist. "Besides, I'm the strangely dressed one, but most of my casual stuff is in the wash, and I've not broke most my casual stuff out of storage yet from moving here." She said, straightening out her backpack which had her suit and her EMWand tucked in a pocket on it. Of course it's appearance of looking like a Sonic Screwdriver toy made it look mostly harmless. She smiled. "Maybe I should look over Cabela's and see if there is any stuff I can get for some fishing. Or at least getting away from things in the simulator."
  11. I was thinking it's more like the Mall of America... where everything is.
  12. Also being it is located in a coastal city, there is probably a Cabela's and a Bass Pro Shops there. Of course, there is an IKEA. There's always an IKEA.
  13. Endeavor inbound! Commencing operations!
  14. Seahawk stepped out with her old Archetech flightsuit. A blue jumpsuit-like suit with white trim. "We're not going anywhere formal, and hopefully this time, not anywhere where there is a criminal incident." "I know of a place that's a hole on the wall, frequented by fighter pilots from the US Air Force nearby here... I'm a regular fixture there too." She said, pulling back the curtain, revealing a tall, person height dressing mirror... although it was just a square pane of a mirror. "Will this be of the right size? At least for what you're doing? Once you're set we can head off in what brought us here."
  15. Sakurako turned to Lynn, smiling. She would say something in Japanese in return, but she wasn't Native Japanese. She just lived there a couple years. As she was about to speak, she noticed the little spawn lifting up his sippy cup and tossing it. Sakurako didn't have time to look to see if the cup had a metal band on the gasket that kept the cup tightly sealed or the mechanical contrivances that keep whatever was within by spilling. It was about to go sailing into a bookshelf when Sakurako drew her EMWand, and using it's ability to manipulate magnetism she holds it in place. It making a signature sound recognizable to anyone in the shop who have watched Doctor Who... Sakurako spoke up with a solid English accent... not quite Downton Abbey, but close. "Well for one thing I get the sense my choice in overcoat was correct. Second..." She uses the wand to levitate the sippy cup back to the stroller. "...I think this is better off here... Third, I am looking for some research journals in regards to quantum mechanics." She said, pulling out her tablet, and showing the entries of 3 scientific journals in regards to how the higher and lower dimensions of reality interact with timespace. "It's an important project... A Thesis." Sakurako saying that, when she clearly looked 16... 17 years old was a surprise. She smiled. "I'm Sakurako. First year, Claremont Academy. And your accent suggests maybe a Osakan who has lived in Tokyo a few years." She said, looking over Lynn. She was starting to analyze. "You don't get many Claremont students here?"

  17. So Rav, what is your status then with this with 3 players?
  18. Seahawk Eventually everything was loaded up in the space behind the backseat like a smaller version of truck flatbed, the six wheeled vehicle seemed capable of handling the load of 3 passengers and Setsuna's gear without too much effort. It wasn't long until the group was back on the road. It was awkwardly quiet between Naomi and Setsuna. There was a slight detour as Naomi dropped her mom off at Archetech HQ... maybe Miss Americana could point her in the right direction as to what to do... that and Naomi left her some cash to get herself a hotel room as she is probably going to be stuck on Earth for the time being. Naomi then drove to the docks she mentioned earlier near the airfield that not too long ago was the site of where she first gained her powers. Something acting at least for now as part base for Seahawk's missions and test flight starting points for Naomi, and as Archetech's hangar for testing seaplane designs. Dropping off the things that she found of her mother's on Miss Americana's directions, She steps behind a curtained wall... "Okay... so, I know this has been a blur... I think Mom and I... are gonna have to talk later on. So... You got any civilian clothes?" Mirror could hear Naomi changing out of the complex technology flightsuit she was wearing before... she peeked over the curtain, like she was looking for something...
  19. Sakurako politely waved off the handshake. "Just tell me how the veggiedog came out and I'll call it a deal." "As for the others, it's more something on the side, Casey... It's not just trust. There'll be times when not all of the group will be available, and the upperclassmen are pretty well experienced. Above my head... But I think your skill-set and mine compliment each other brilliantly." She grills up a couple odd looking hot dogs. "That... and... I..." She scratches her chin with her free hand. "You're probably the first person that I've actually not felt like I have to show off to, to hold any attention..." Looking back down at the grill, her face was semi-shadowed by the wide-brimmed hat she was wearing. "I think if we weren't superhuman I think... we'd be friends."
  20. 20 Minutes Ago... Endeavor in her blue and gold supersuit and vest flew over Freedom City. She was starting to get acquainted with the area finally, with few crises happening for her in the area. And she has been busy, if it wasn't chasing after electric griffons or stopping a paramilitary group of art thieves, she brought it all. That and her brave defense of a fishing trawler got her a bit in the news papers. But now the schoolgirl supergenius was going to check out something new that popped up on one of her searches for bookstores. In particular rare books... Then again she was wanting to hunt for a few out-of-print RPG rulebooks, and perhaps indulge in a comic or two... she can't be all official business. After flying to a nearby gas station to change out of her suit, stuffing it into her backpack, she put on her white blouse, and a black skirt with plain brown shoes over knee-high white socks. After tying her bow at the neck of her blouse she put on a new waterproof overcoat she got for her birthday, buttoning it up for the early spring chill. After slinging back on her pink backpack and getting some snacks for later in a pretty cheap bag, she walks to Silberman's Books. Now... Sakurako walks through the door, admiring the mechanical efficiency of a doorbell that wasn't electrical, before adjusting her data glasses she retrofitted from a Google Glass system. The constant communication from her laptop in her backpack, to the glasses she was wearing, and the tablet in her purse provided her with a pretty substantial data stream. "Ah... a Japanese Newspaper... time to catch up... let's see if this covers where my Dad's house is..." She started looking for the prefecture that had the most news coverage listed in the news, while looking about for what was in stock at the store. Sakurako stood out with her Pink hair, and stood out in the store. She shook her head. "Nope... still conservative and more Politics..." She said with a heavy sigh, politely putting it back on it's pile. Her cloth gloves preventing smudging of the ink, or it getting on her hands.
  21. Hee! A newly minted PL 8 with her Bestie!
  22. GM "Ah, so I'm not interrupting much then..." The Alien woman walked over to her ejection seat, opening up the ejection bubble, turning a couple of valves causing it to deflate rapidly, she gets it detached from the ejection seat, and stuffs her parachute into it, setting it in the back of the amphibious runabout. "Although I don't think this stuff will cause anyone any harm, do you guys know of a reasonable technology firm that can make some use of this kit? I can't just lug this about..." "For that matter, I'm legally dead here... I... don't have much of an identity here don't I?" Seahawk Seahawk started to cry a little, she couldn't hold back as she runs over, hugging her mother. "I... I... I think I know someone who can help, b... but I'm not completely sure. She's been awfully busy a..a...as of late. But she could get you into contact with the proper authorities to start straightening this out." Seahawk said, burying her head in Setsuna's chest. "I... I was going to head out for lunch with Mirror here, b...but seeing you..." "Yeah, I'm offerin' You're probably starved... A... and... welcome home, Mom..."
  23. "No worries, Casey." Sakurako said, putting the yellow vest on once more she had on before putting a apron on that had the chemical diagram of propane embroidered on it. "I have some pure tofu dogs and Veggie dogs too... Although I'll have to set up the frier... something I want to experiment with for the tofu. But the Veggie dogs will grill just fine here." She smiled, looking over her hot dog supply, grabbing a cooled pack of veggie dogs she lays a couple out on the grill, humming a little as she gets things going. "Oh, you can set the trash on the beach, the program simulation can take waste and turn it into raw materials for it's replicator system." She smiled as she carefully turned her cooking. "You know... I... wanted to ask you something." "I'm not the biggest physical specimen, but I wanted to ask... You... want to become a duo?"
