  1. Sakurako completed her coursework for the day easily. Compared to others she was ahead of the Sylabus so much she could take time to work on her own personal designs and projects. Once the lab cleared though she noticed Vikki was working on something in the back section of the lab, away from the others. It did pain Sakurako to see Vikki struggling with... what was she working on? Sakurako's curiosity brings the sailor suited genius over to her. She sits across the table, leaining on her hands. She was in her suit, as per her usual lab protocol, her favorite dirty labcoat bearing the marks of experiments gone right... or wrong. "Hey there. What are ya working on?" Sakurako asked, curious, and looking like she honestly wanted to help with the project. She sat her backpack on the table, and rummaged. "It's raining out... I was thinking after this we could get lunch. I heard Casey might stop in if her Ethics coursework doesn't slam her with homework again." "Not that ethics is a problem class for either of us. Although the instructor says I'm a bit too much of a Idealogue..." "Anyways... help... I'm offering." She said with a smile.
  2. Sakurako had just gotten her lunch, and had walked near the conversation with Viki and Casey. She was wearing her suit, but with a white labcoat over it. She usually did such things as an advanced lab precaution... although when with a buddy she resorts to wearing goggles instead of her helmet being fully deployed. Right now her favorite pair of goggles were on her forehead and the helmet was all stored away into the suit as she took a seat near Casey. "Oh! Hay Casey! Didn't mean to intrude. Is this the new student I've started to hear about from the faculty?" Sakurako waved to Viki. "I'm Sakurako. You'll see me a lot at the Library and the Labs." Sakurako continued to smile, although the sight of her stained lab coat suggested mad scientist in training than a schoolgirl. Although the sailor collared space-suit like suit was a unusual contrast.
  3. Endeavor is here! ^_^ Hopefully Heri accepts. ^_^
  4. Endeavor nodded. She turned to Casey picking up her bag. "You did remember to pack your pajamas and blanket for this right?" Endeavor said to Miracle Girl. She leaned over and whispered. "Preston Insurance Building, Connie's superhero Hot Dogs, 10 Minutes." Casey and Sakurako talked about the gaudy ad sign outside the mall on top of the building Nevermore pointed out earlier in the day, It made a logical landmark. "There's a women's rest room 5 shops down..." she continued whispering... "Or there is the space behind the landmark." One of the security guards walked in. "Okay, your paperwork checked out, you two. And while you showed restraint, Miss Hino, and your parents are pillars of the community here, could you please keep the taser at home?" Sakurako stammered. "A... Alright, sir. I usually keep it for my self defense." "Then keep it at a secure locker at one of the customer desks. They do have a lockup for super gadgets. We put them in recently with Daedalus and what-not visiting to sign autographs on their latest books and what-not." Endeavor nodded, resisting bowing. "Thank you. I'll show better prudence next time, sir." She looked over to Casey. "Is she free to go?" "Well, she's signed her statements so... until the police talk to her she can head home or wherever you two planned to go. Rare for a girl to have a supergenius for a friend." Sakurako could have said something in response, but instead looks to Casey. "Let's go, we've lost time on our schedule." Endeavor kept up with Casey, in full costume, but decided discretion might be the better part of value while waiting near, but not obviously near the rest rooms, once she was changed she accompanied her friend and roommate to Nevermore's waypoint. She was going to let Casey speak first as she needed to get clued into the plan that one of the experienced costumed crimefighters of Claremont had in store.
  5. Yeah, I'm giving our tree lady a piece of my mind (as rolled and stated above).
  6. GM The Coast Guard officer with the rifle pointed her rifle to the floor of her boat. Typical behavior for a soldier at ease. "Well the grown superheroes have been busy lately... then again you gotta work on your stealth child. I saw you floating above the buoy for the past 5 minutes." She said looking around. She lied actually... she thought she saw something hovering over the buoy, but the fog combined with how Casey was keeping still and quiet did cause doubt that she was "seeing things..." Better to keep things calm making her team think she saw everything... "That your boat over there?" She said, pointing to where Endeavor was. "Amazing it got out this far... If you are investigating who has been hacking your headquarters, I wager that black box is the culprit?" There was an important note there, as she didn't see Blodewedd hiding behind the tall navigation buoy... She straightened her vest. "Lieutenant Bernice Davis. Everyone calls me 'The Radar'. I'm helping this boat team check things out, we noticed a slowing of data coming from this buoy about two weeks ago, worsening yesterday. So our cutter came out here and parked about 1000 feet off that way to check things out..." That is when Casey notices when she pulls up her goggles on to her helmet, her eyes glowed. "I'm probably the only person here who can see through this pea soup." "You kids manage to spot a cargo ship? My vision doesn't go much further than our cutter." She let her small rifle hang by it's strap, crossing her arms. "I am also noticing a lack of safety equipment on you. This water is rather cold... unless cold water isn't a issue for you..." "Tell you guys what, let's get to the cutter, we can set up a plan of action. Now that I've seen you kids, I can't just let you guys head off alone... That and we got hot cocoa... I know you can't resist that." She wasn't being patronizing... she was inviting them to the cutter.
  7. Endeavor "Really? Hmm... I think at this point if the Coast Guard is in the area we will have to work with them on this... that boat that was spotted didn't look like a coastguard cutter and the cutter they came from could be near us... maybe real near us... I don't see any search lights near us, so I highly doubt the very close possibility. I'll leave it to yours and Miracle Girl's discretion if you wish to make contact. I don't think they'll appreciate the sudden appearance of two girls hovering over them, but if you can make contact subtly I'm all for it. Have they mentioned if they might head our way?" She looked over to Vonnie and the others still in the boat. "Seems we might have some friendly orange suits visiting soon... or us visiting them." "We're in costume... I'm going to head over and make contact. Stay up there for now... it'll take a moment to start the engines. I'll leave things to yours and MG's discretion. Start contact if you want." Endeavor starts warming up the electric engine outboards after pulling up the black fabric covers that covered the bright orange inflatable part of their RIB.
  8. "Yeah... I guess it comes with the cape... or sailor collar in my case." She said, continuing her meal. "So... what do you do for hobbies? For fun? I was thinking of setting up something this summer for us, even the students graduating this year. It'd be open invitation, but I was thinking a short summer cruise in the pacific would be fun. That and I want to restart the Claremont Sailing Club here. Might be a fun distraction for everyone." She looked up at the blue glass above her, and the stars in the sky. It was virtual, but that didn't make it any less beautiful. "My folks know of a nice island we can spend a few days at. And just get away..." She giggled. "As for the near term, anything you wanted to do later on? May's looking rather open on my schedule."
  9. Seahawk grinned. "Were there Zeppelins? PLEASE tell me there were Zeppelins!" She really did like the lighter than air stuff. That was always fun. Although the blimp concepts Archetech had tried out just didn't have the same charm as a good old, classic, big skyship of a Zeppelin. "As for flying in general, let me know. Sometimes I get to fly something two-seated, and it gets lonely in the back. I could see what sort of strings I can pull to get you to come along on a basic flight. The perks of my job? Sometimes I can take out a plane from the pool to take a swing around the bay to relax." "Trust me, I love my flight pack, but there's something about flying something with actual wings..."
  10. Seahawk breathed a sigh of relief. "Heh... yeah, I was seein' that from the breakout, boss." She said. "Seems poor Doc has had a pretty raw deal. He deserves the vacation. Can't blame the guy he had a bug in the brain and hopefully our boys helped fumigate the ol' noggin." she said. Smiling. "And ya know, to be honest Grim's alright by me, too." "Why do I get the suspicion this company's startin' to pick up strays. Mirror's thinkin' of signin' up, and are we considerin' pickin' up a bookstore owner?" She grinned, she was trying to lighten the mood. "Anyways... didn't ya say you were a pilot or somethin, Grim? What did ya fly back in the day? I wager with your team you guys had some pretty sweet rides. Mostly what I'm doin' when I'm not usin' my fancy flight pack is the occasional prototype jet. I sorta wanna see what Archetech will get into on the Aerospace front. After those Communion rottens tried invadin' I wouldn't mind test pilotin' a starfighter." "Best be an X-Wing or I'll riot."
  11. "This... isn't good." Sakurako said to the others. "It's increasing it's size and mass with everything we've collected..." She sighed. They'd been working all day and now whatever this is was trying to become some sort of trash Gojira... wasn't there a Gojira movie where he fought a pollution monster? "I'm starting to wonder if communication with it won't be possible... but it is obvious it's putting itself together. I don't know if we should try to dismantle the thing as it's growing or try to contact it first. Or for that matter if we should call in some adults to handle this..." Sakurako couldn't help but hover off the ground to keep up with the trash creature, if this was a potential first contact with a sentient creature she wanted to be there to make the contact... but if it was hostile... she was going to ensure she was up to the task as long as her friends were behind her. To be honest she was a little scared.
  12. Endeavor turned to Nevermore. Whispering. "Let me guess... girl with Pheremones and Flying Powers? I remember seeing something on Luna Moth over at the academy." She said with a whisper, closing up the helmet on her suit. "I really should have a portable database on active and less-than-active supervillains that can be kept as a App for a tablet. Would be a nice programming experiment. Call it the "Villaindex". Heh..." "Anyways, stepping out... right..." Endeavor turned to Casey. Speaking normally. "Hey... come along, I think this'll concern you too." Turning back to Nevermore she smiled. "I think we'll need to get Casey on the case too." She whispered.

  14. What I got for a check... Intelligence Check: 1d20+6 26 Does this change my post?
  15. Okay GM post is up! React as you see fit! No rolls really needed right now, Tossing a few gimmies. As for the fog around the bouy, it seems visibility was really bad only when there wasn't light. As it's dark out, the fog makes you practically invisible 10 to 20 feet out, but with a light, that makes things a bit more visible. If Blodeuwedd wants to make a stealth type of check that might be a good idea. Miracle Girl too. So I know what the DC to spot them is. You guys are 25 feet up... enough to keep out of view with the dense fog when there's no light on you.
  16. GM Blodeuwedd and Miracle Girl took off to the buoy, hovering above it a safe unobservable distance in the super-thick fog, but they could still hear the cold waters of the atlantic below. As they waited, the large rubber boat pulled alongside the buoy they were investigating. What was odd is as it got close there was light onboard that was turned on shining on the buoy, cutting down somewhat on the lack of visibility below. It could be seen that the people on the now visibly orange boat were wearing orange or yellow drysuits and red life preserver vests, with obvious coast guard markings. Didn't seem fake. One of them had a small rifle, looking more like it was standard procedure to carry. "Hey, there's something off with this navigation buoy here. There's some black box on the side! What should we do?" Said one person as they hopped into the water to investigate. Obviously a Coast Guard swimmer. Someone like that would not have any compulsion against jumping into 40 degree water. "Don't spend too long in the water. If there's something unusual there on that buoy we'll have to send the Navy out here to get a EOD guy to make sure it's not some sort of bomb. We should head back to the cutter and notify Lonely Point that they should put a navigation warning out here for a day or two while we resolve this. This chronic fog out here should help provide an excuse at least at night." "Yeah..." The one swimmer in the water said, climbing back into the Zodiac-style boat. "We should get back to the cutter soon. We should check out those radar anomalies next in this fog. You said there was a small one 25 yards east of here?" "Yep, small like a boat. Might be a life raft, but there's no distress beacon. We should check it if it's a navigational hazard. Like if someone lost something in a storm. That and there might be debris still coming down from that huge fight on the Lighthouse back around Christmas." That was a problem... Endeavor's boat was 25 yards away... in that direction. "Yeah, let's do one more visual on this Buoy..." The swimmer said, as the smaller trolling outboard that was attached to the front was used to start circling the Buoy. "Boring work, eh?" "Meh, that's what most of this crap is, endless stretches of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer crisis. Why didn't I join the Navy..." The now obviously woman on the boat with the rifle said with a sigh. It was pretty hard to tell until she spoke. "Don't jinx us, girl." Endeavor and her team waited on their boat, huddled down, listening over the comlinks, waiting to be told to move in if needed.
  17. :3 First days, the steerin's a bit off.

  18. No clue with Endeavor. But someone will fill me in, right?
  19. Seahawk heard the story. And whistled. "2011 huh? 4 years of letting this grow mold." Seahawk said, noticing her boss crack her knuckles. She knew she had to at least move the two here in a direction where some superbrawl wouldn't happen. "You not knowin' that there was some sort of compensation means it's somethin' else that drew you here. I'm wagerin' that since this is with Doc A... it's closure you're lookin' for, eh? Ya wanna bury the hatchet? Or perhaps just bury the past and give it a proper funeral?" Seahawk sighed, looking at the two. "Look... I got a feelin' here that Grimalkin here and her past have some pretty deep scars that ain't fadin'. Trust me, I know that feelin' and it's not comfy." "So, Lynn... what's up? We're stuck in now with the past and the now occupyin' the same space and from what the labcoats here keep sayin' that isn't a good thing."
  20. Seahawk looked like she got smacked in her face with a halibut. A big one. She starts cracking up as she falls to the floor laughing. "Miss A... this kid's no threat. She stumbled into it." She said, after about a minute of awkward laughing. She chortles as she sits up, covering her mouth. "So why were you using a card that has no meaning now here? And for that fact... Miss A, have you checked out the entirety of the facilities here? Is everything accounted for?" She catches her breath as she gets back to her knees. "Maybe we got a mystery here to solve. Something of Doctor A's legacy." "Maybe something we have to remove... Violently" She said. Looking to Lynn. "I don't know about you guys, but I think this Miss Epstein is okay by me." She pulls back her cowl but only after hiding her face for a moment, keeping the goggles in place after taking them off for a moment. Her blonde hair was out as well as her ears, but the goggles made sure her eyes were hidden. She smirked. "I mean... is she?"
  21. "This... isn't normal. Even for a thief..." She looked over to Casey, whispering to her. "What ya think? Psychic control? Bewitchment? I paid a little attention at recognizing potential mind control methods in class last week. I always call it 'Defense Against the Dark Arts' class but I wager you get the point..." She returned her attention to the boy in the room. She sat her hand on his knee, after kneeling down on both her knees. Her expression went from annoyance to concern. "Okay... doesn't it seem... wrong... that someone like that wants you to steal for them? True love isn't won by trinkets and material things it's... ephemeral. It is something that's true between people. It doesn't need things to exist, it needs... well... trust. Trust between two individuals that goes beyond material interests. Feeling like you constantly have to go out and take things just for someone's attentions isn't love. It's slavery. Slavery to a slothful, prideful individual who only cares about their own self interests and would use you as some sort of... drone." "Doesn't that feel wrong to you? Isn't there something in you that's twisting at this fact?" Endeavor was holding back tears at this point. Seeing free will corrupted like this was firing up her emotions. "Tell me.... where is this Sam?"
  22. She knew I came from trainor... there's something about her indeed... and what's her deal with Dr. Archeville? She sighed, starting stow away her embarrassment. "Hmm... So I wager you've got powers, eh?" She smiled, finally getting herself looking like a proper, high-tech pilot. "Yeah, I flew over here. Their technicians know how to keep my kit in order. I was in the middle of maintaining my kit when I got the call to come over and check things out." She said, pointing to the flight pack. "Gets me around when I don't got access to a VTOL." She smiled. "Is this a thing of interest for you, pilot stuff, or you just know things?"
  23. Seahawk sat on the table, crossing a leg, trying to look serious, in the state her suit was currently in, crossing her arms as best she could with a bright red air bladder puffed out... She decides to start letting air out as she quirked an eyebrow. "Lawyerin' up? Need I remind you that this isn't a jail and we're not law enforcement. You're on private property, sweetie. To be honest, how hard OUR lawyers push for charges, and how severe, will be based on how forthcomin' you're gonna be with us." "Name's Seahawk. Got called over as I keep a direct line with the company. I help 'em out from time to time... and right now the only reason why I'm not taking you as some minion of a supervillain is the fact you just stumbled into this, didn't ya?" She held up the card, that was on the desk, stored in the clear plastic bag once she hugged the last bit of air out of her gear. "Where'd you get the card in the first place?" she asked, as her helmet flipped open while her goggles and cowl made sure nothing of her face was visible except for her lower face. Seahawk wasn't being threatening, but her tone suggested she wasn't in a good mood over this.
  24. Sakurako scratched her head. "So what is the evidence of this being from some alternate universe? Anyone with knowledge of something this baroque and combining it with some holographic technology could do this..." She said, noting her hand passed through the holograms projected, but what disturbed her was something that snapped her skepticism. "...wait... this isn't using a projection medium... it should have been disturbed by my hands passing through the air over the table..." She walked around the table. "This isn't common technology by any measure... but what makes this something that isn't from this universe?" She said, amazed by the workmanship. "This is a lot of detail for a ancient predecessor to pinball and pachinko." "By Leonardo's designs..."
