  3. Naomi started to pull on the biggest stone, 1.5 tons of pure unadulterated rock. At first it didn't budge until it finally moved and she put all the effort she could into lifting it... it felt like her maximum. She was breathing heavily before dropping it 10 feet from where she picked it up with a thump. She drops to one knee, resting a hand on the rock as she catches her breath. "Well... in theory... I can do this. In practice... I need practice!" She said, looking over to Alton. She leaned against a rock, pulling out the one thing in terms of "food" she knew she had. A couple candy bars. She offers one to Alton. "It seems it's not I got more to learn, it's more on how to use what I know!" She said with a smile. The blonde haired elf-girl seemed very much happy to have someone to talk to that had powers. She seemed a little comical even with the puffed up life preserver around her head and down the front. But she didn't seem to mind that, leaning back to have a headrest. "To be honest it's been one heck of a day so far. I flew for the first time today, helped save some people, and ended up crashing into you. Can't say it hasn't been a good day." Just then some raindrops begin to fall... "Oh... I guess that 10% chance wasn't so much of a small chance." She said, getting up and rummaging through a pouch that was a part of the straps of her flight pack. She offers a semi-clear rain poncho to Alton. "Least I can do... maybe we should head back to civilization. I saw a truck stop about 2 miles away... saw it as I sorta... well... landed. Bound to be a pay phone there, even in this era of cell phones. Ming wanna go to our identities again while we do so." She puts on her helmet after pulling back over her head the hood of her suit and the goggles, she lets her suit deflate the life preserver, it taking the form again of a padded collar, and straps on her flight pack to keep it secure. The suit turns navy blue with white trim, with some patches of red once more. There was a grumble in her stomach now... seems having a light breakfast means dinner will have to carry the load. "And while a candy bar is nice, I really want some greasy, authentic Truck-stop food! I'll cover your tab if you're interested?" What was Seahawk's game? Being this nice was... well a breath of fresh air, but her being this casual after coming back from the dead no more than a hour ago... Seahawk just smiled. "Sometimes it's all about attitude. When it rains you just put on your raincoat, lean a shoulder to the wind, and carry on."
  4. Seahawk walked ahead of Mirror, looking around for something until she found it. "Ah... I knew there'd be some heavy stones around here." She said, walking over to a substantial collection of stones ranging up from 300 pounds to one that was closer to 1000 and one that was a massive 1 and a half tons! "Today I get to try something I've been suspecting..." She said, sitting down in front of the biggest stone... She opened up her helmet setting it aside. "I'm about to do something here that well... requires trust." She said, pulling back the cowl of her suit and the goggles/mask that covered the upper part of her face, revealing a blonde-haired elf-like woman with green eyes. "Name's... Naomi... And I'm going to be putting a lot of effort into this... at least to start." She said, unbuckling the flight pack and setting it next to her helmet. She looked at her hands letting them flare to life... She knew the feeling of that energy moving, so then she thought of concentrating it, then letting it move through her body, like fuel going to every muscle. Her skin seemed to glow slightly as she stood up. The glow faded as she walks over to the 1000 pound stone and in a motion that looked patently easy she lifted it as if it was just a phone book. "I... well, first try and bingo..." She said with a smile. She looked over the largest stone... "Some day I might have to move that much material in one go..." She stretched after setting her first stone down. "That's the thing about this power... it's all internalized... understanding the energy flow is really, really important."
  5. "Yeah... seems however my powers work... the act of actually regenerating like that isn't painful for very long. Sort of glad it happens. Reminds me to be careful." She said, wondering if she should just uncover her face... but he was masked... perhaps a few more questions to this Good Samaritan would help. "So... what brings you to these woods, Mirror? Me I was just heading out here for some quiet training with my powers when Phbbbt... bad luck came knocking first." She giggled as she stretched out, her back and other bones finally getting just right. "Aah, this part I like, it's like a deep tissue massage if I time it hrrr... ahhh... right." "There... I can get back to trainin'. Of course I don't mind talkin' too. I got all day." She presses a button and her suit turns international orange and red, although in a different livery and configuration from her test-pilot mode's uniform design. "I'd better keep visible for now... in case there's hunters... but it isn't hunting season as far as I know right now..."
  6. "T... thanks." She said, getting herself over to the side of the small lake and getting to her hands and knees to catch her breath. She closes the clear faceplate to ehr suit and uses it's oxygen supply to help boost her a bit as she gets back to her feet. "So... to whom do I owe the honor of your presence?" Seahawk said, smiling and nodding. Although the cowl-like hood she was wearing hid her eyes under a pair of goggles, all underneath a bubble-windscreen that was the front faceplate of the helmet of her flight suit. She turned off the beacon as she extended a hand for a handshake, it was her left hand, as the bones re-alligned and healed. "Oh... forgot that was happening... I'm Seahawk. Just started on this whole flying without a airplane thing. Just got done saving some sailors in distress... it'll probably be on the news tonight I wager." She hugged her self, crossing her arms over the red inflated life vest that was a part of her suit provided some warmth as she crossed her arms. She always felt cold after this sort of resurrection thermal regulators or not. Might have been more psycho-somatic. "That... crash really hurt. I hope it wasn't too disturbing the... after-effects. First time someone's actually seen me do that." The seemingly invincible test pilot showed some weakness...
  7. Swahawk stood in a white, empty reality. A place she calls "The waiting room". It was her second visit here... she's started to learn what it was... her power's way of locking her into her body. To give her powers time to build up for a massive regenerative burst... followed by about 30 seconds of pain. Oh god... at least the life preserver worked... Okay... what happened to me... Broken neck? no... busted ribs again... gonna be coughing up blood. I bet my internal organs are a real chunky salsa. Better get my faceplate open so I can cough it out... broken back too. Busted leg... left hand's shattered... I really, REALLY gotta get that parachute put in this thing... This is gonna hurt. Wait is someone wa... oh god... this... YEAAARRRGGHHH! Mirror sees a explosion of white and gold light coming from the faceplate of Seahawk's flightsuit, before she flips open the visor with her working right arm. The sound of creaking and clicking and some wretching is heard as she tries to swim... and fail. "Hah.. hah... YEAAARRRGGGHHH!" The sight was not pretty as her body re-arranged itself into it's proper form. There was a few moments again... then she turned to Mirror... she was temporarily exhausted, but not out of it. "H... Hey... mind taking that stick and help pull me over... I'm a bit..." She coughs up something into the water out of Mirror's view... "Ugh... sorry, had to get that out. I just want some help to shore... still getting my energy back." She didn't look in trouble... but she still looked like that was incredibly painful... Lifesigns detected... as well as lessening terminal injuries. Notifying pilot that radio is down, and flight is inoperable due to lack of fuel. No ration pack ins... "Yeah yeah, NOT INSTALLED... Confounded buzzkill..." Seahawk whined.
  8. Sakurako waved to those that were leaving as she tapped a couple times on her Tablet. "Okay, I got everything on my end lined up. Casey... if you're interested in setting up our impromptu pool party, I might need some heavy lifting help... Although shopping with someone is far more fun than being alone anyways." she said, holding up her EM Wand. "That and I'm sure just getting off campus will be a welcome thing for everyone that wants to help, eh?" Sakurako was getting exited. "Well... if anyone is interested in setting this up we'll meet near the front gates in 30 minutes. I gotta change out of my suit anyways." She said, looking forward to the trip. "And... thanks for the friendly reception... really." Standing up she put her dishes in the proper receptacle and smiled. "I think I'm gonna like it here." - End
  9. Seahawk was heading to Wharton to try out something in the forest, namely to test out a theory with her ability to infuse her body with energy... if she could use that energy to amplify her strength, what happened with those sailors wouldn't be as much of an issue. As she got to the forest there was a warning test on her helmet's HUD... Fuel Out, activate parachute... Warning, Parachute module not installed... "Activate Parachute? There's supposed to be a parachute on this thing?" She starts falling from the sky as the glowing wing-like nimbus from her flight pack disappears. She almost instantly starts tumbling. "OH CRAAAAAAAAAP!" She shouts as her pack tries to sputter to life to try to slow down, but to no avail. Warning, still at terminal velocity, apply emergency measures... Severe or Fatal injury is now a likelyhood... Recording data for black box... "I WOULD IF I HAD ANY, YOU INFERNAL... Oh dear, this is gonna hurt, isn't it? Miss A really needs to put that new power supply in t..." A loud crashing sound is heard through the forest over the sounds of nature, followed by a splash. Seahawk's crumpled body floats up to the surface of a small lake... or large pond... Seahawk wouldn't know, She's dead at least for now. Bouyed by her suit's life preserver. Warning, pilot has suffered terminal injury. Inflated life preserver for retrieval of corpse. Contact with Archetech HQ has failed. Logging crash data to black box. Activating beacon. A couple small lights start flashing on the strap of her flight pack with a regular beep... Outside of that, it is quiet at the impact site. But Seahawk's fall didn't go unnoticed...
  10. And here is my February report. Seahawk is now on the lineup, and the end of the month got productive. That and I have my first few GM posts. 11. Oh... actually that will help. Expect a PM... Edit: Vonnie has something he might wanna tell the group... like... within 5 minutes game time...
  12. Seahawk opened her front faceplate to her helmet, happy she remembered to pull down the goggles/mask that were part of the costume function of her suit. A couple Coast Guard men ran up to Seahawk to ask her a couple questions on the side which she was more than happy to oblige, before scratching her covered head from the sudden attention. She blushed as she looked over to the people she helped save, suddenly knowing what she needed to do to be even better. "Miss, can we get your codename down for the record?" One of the Coasties asked as Seahawk got up. Turning to them, she smiled. "My Callsign is Seahawk. See ya in the skies." She said as her helmet closed up again and she took off. She made a beeline towards the western forests with glowing blue wings behind her, wanting to see if she could find some heavy rocks to test a theory...
  13. Seahawk flops back into the water. Mentally exhausted. "There is... a lot to think about." "To be honest my performance is great, but to increase my lifting capability I would have to lose mobility in the form of a exoskeleton... But... There is something that has been crossing my mind lately." She said, letting her hand glow with one of her own powers. "If I can amplify the power of my strikes and the doctors back home told me that my psychic potential was turned inward... what would happen if I infused this energy into my own body..." She mused. "It's a thought." She pushed away from shore for a bit. She knew the flightpack was off line, but she wanted to see how she floated with it on. "Could take some foam and install it somewhere in the pack. The buoyancy is sort of imbalanced." She said, trying to keep vertical with her life preserver but the weight was pulling her back. She wades back to shore. "Otherwise..." The flight vanes pop out and the repulsors blink back to life spitting out whatever water got in "...everything seems to be functional. I'm going to take the suit and pack for a spin. Just a tour of the city later on to test a theory. With my own abilities."
  14. All Seahawk did was keep the boat stable, countering any rocking by adjusting her flight systems to provide counterbalance. As the shore came up Seahawk made sure to keep the boat straight and level for setting it down. With how everything worked out, it shouldn't take much effort. "Okay, what now, Miss A?" She asked setting up to make sure everyone made it back in one piece. At this point she wanted to get the boat safe to shore. "Hey, that sandy spot looks like a good spot to set her down... nice and soft."
  15. Seahawk lets Miss A take the lead, making sure things stay stable as the net is set up so they can get this boat back to somewhere safer than where it was. Although she was feeling more and more as if she didn't know what she was doing. "So what next?" She said, seeing the last of the makeshift hoist was set up. "I can keep things steady while we get everything back. That and keep an eye on our passengers." She started to think that she was not up to this superheroing thing. She could fight, but not be able to operate on her own when it counted.
  16. "Well that's a better idea..." She shouts up. "Well less greetings, more pickups!" Seahawk shouted as she set the tied together trash bags over her shoulder. "Sorry, needed to give you guys something to do to distract you... to prevent a panic. I knew Miss Americana was in route. I'm sort of new in town so we're working together." She said to the sailors. "Although I had a plan B... or was it C, I don't know... Now, I'm going to be keeping the net stable while Miss A does the heavy lifting, okay? Just hold on to the net and we should be back on dry land shortly." She waves Miss A down to let the sailors climb on to the net. "Try to get as close to Miss A as you can... I'm... not the best lifter around."
  17. Seahawk nodded. "You have trash bags then on board? I need them." Seahawk said, quickly hovering over to the sails, and taking the largest one and another off of the busted mast lines and all. "This'll be risky but I can make a makeshift raft... but that'll be a stretch. At least I can try to keep you three mostly out of the water until help arrives. But if you got trash bags I want you to start blowing them up now... I'll need 8 of them..." She said, grabbing the starboard side and turning up her thrusters to full to heave that side level. "Otherwise we gotta hope I can keep everyone out of the water until help arrives. To be honest if you don't got those trash bags I'm going to have to do a plan B..." She put her finger on her radio button as she was still on Miss A's channel. "Yes, I'm taking measures to ensure these people can stay out of the water until you get here, Ma'am but if you can grab an actual life raft so we can tow them it would be appreciated. There was something at base that would have one... What I got isn't going to be the best solution, but it's all I can manage. And call the Coast Guard. We will need them." What she eluded to was the fact there was a helicopter on the helipad when Seahawk left, and it did have a life raft for emergencies...
  18. Then it's up to them to tell me their situation and to answer #3... I can't lift them and pushing them to the prison is out of the question.
  19. Is there anything going on with this?
  20. "Boss, if you got a position on me, I got three boaters in distress, the sailboat's probably a loss... I'll keep you appraised." She said, opening her helmet to pull down the mask on the hood of her flightsuit. She closes her helmet again and races to the scene. Pulling up alongside the boat she assesses their situations. "What happened? Is this a leak or something else?" She said in a thicker accent than normal, to attempt to hide her identity further. Of course her Welsh accent she was easy to use. "Do you have anti-exposure suits on-board or a life raft? The temperatures in these waters are... not the best. Anything I can do to help? I'd rather keep everyone on the boat considering the water temperatures."
  21. Sakurako sighed. "Look you guys just sort this out. This headache is starting to get to me. I got some lab projects to work on." she said, pulling back the hood on her suit that kept her hair in place. "This whole thing is sour to me." Seeing Miss Grue come in, Sakurako just shook her head. "Now everyone is coming to see the drama. I want no part of it." She said, walking off. She knew she was going to catch heat from the faculty, but it seemed more and more there was only certain people she trusted here at the school, otherwise being solo was more a matter of people not holding her back with their issues.
  22. She turned off her transponder and there was an immediate response. "NX, what is your condition?" "I'm okay..." She said, "I'm waiting in the water for Archetech's techs to swing by. Suit's working great. Real toasty." "Affirmative, We'll keep an open line in case you need Coast Guard assistance." "Roger that." She was obviously lying as she was hovering ten feet above the water. She stuffed the lights and switched her suit and flightpack's colors to the navy blue with white trim of Seahawk, keeping reds on the collar of her suit and at several other locations... She switched to a secure channel with Archetech. "Okay Miss A... Got your message, Seahawk's checking it out." She went into a cruising flight mode, about 100 mph, staying five feet above the water, looking for the boat in question...
  23. Naomi actually enjoyed the typical routine, following the prescribed flight routes on the navigation points Miss A provided, although Naomi wouldn't have the benefit of that unless she had a GPS reciever of her own... something to consider getting. "All good. The hover system works to expected parameters. Everything about this is responsive." She said, hovering over the waters of the Bay. In front of her was the Atlantic ocean. "Well I'm gonna try something..." Naomi said, hovering horizontally... Little vanes opened as wing-like arms fully folded out of the pack. She was no more than a couple feet from the water as she activated the suit's full G-compensation as she kicked the repulsors into full... she went from zero to Mach 1 in a few moments, the suit constricting using everything at it's disposal for a moment, before returning to a more comfortable state. Naomi casually moved across the ocean and she could see herself reflected in the icy February waters. "I'm livin' the dream Mum... I'm livin' the dream!" she thought as she took on a vertical stance flying, it seemed like she was skating, her repulsor field fully compensating as she kicked up a wake behind her. She moved like a figure skater in graceful turns and curves, almost like a fairy on the water with a glowing pair of wings coming out of her flight pack. "My god... Miss A this whole system works wonders! If this was their first attempt... this is totally out of the ballpark!" She hits the brakes, as a wave of water slams up from the repulsors in front of her as she slows from Mach 1 to nothing... hovering over the Atlantic some 20 miles from where she started. She was breathing heavy from the experience... "This suit... this pack... It's like I was born with them on..." She looked at her hands. "It's like a dream..."
  24. "Once I get airborn, I'll get into traffic control and tell them I'm in the air, I got the transponder ready to turn on. I guess that's why you told me to get flight clearances from all the airports first... if there is a problem I can use them for backup landing, although I'm going to stay over the bay for a bit to ensure that if there is a problem the landing is wet but soft." She went over the pack's limitations. "Although hitting the water will mean I wait for a pickup... The repulsors don't seem to work with water and shut off. I'm reading the engineer notes on my HUD." She walks to the edge of the building. "Here I go!" She hops and starts to Skate along the side of the Archetech HQ, keeping her balance like a skater as she controls the Jetpack's systems. The repulsors working as advertised, not even touching the windows or the frames that held them in, before taking off about 100 feet from the ground into the skies of Freedom City... She turned on her radio. "ATC, this is NX-42006-J, I have taken off from Archetech HQ's helipad, heading to the South River flight route." "Roger NX-42006-J. Odd ID number. We're picking up your signature on radar now." "Thank you, notify the Coast Guard and the Navy at Lonely Point I am setting a course to the outer Bay. I'll need verification on no-flys in the area." "Understood." Flying at 150 feet she switches back to the Archetech channel, flying casual over the cold waters of late winter. "Okay, Boss. Started the usual formalities. I'm heading to the Bay to do some basic maneuvers that the Engineers requested." She smiled, seeing the full HUD display on her helmet now. "I see the GUI is well designed. All the info I need and none of the crap. Seems the electrodes in the helmet help with interfacing with the suit and pack systems like a breeze!"
