  1. May 10th - 16th. The story will be a week on the Lighthouse. ^_^
  2. I wager having devices would be bad... unless Sakurako made temp devices with her Inventor feat. Of course if she doesn't know how many are coming along I might end up rendering the thread moot. Bit leery of the equipment spacesuit, but I guess that's what the claremont spacesuit will be then. Anyways, other takers?
  3. Hello, thought I'd offer an idea for a thread that can be dated in late May, involving the students going to the Lighthouse to help with small stuff at the Lighthouse while the Adults are off doing what full-grown heroes do. What I was thinking was a tour of the facility, some inside Zero-Gee training, and the possibility of a short space walk. Oh, and helping the cause of space exploration with an important mission to the ISS to help out with a problem. Who's up for being space explorers? Also, is it wrong to design up a suit for the Claremont teens that they wear while in space? Pretty much a device they get to use for the thread? (Pretty much life support and communication only)? I doubt Claremont would send the kids up unprotected (and the spaceworthy teens up without something to let them talk in space...) Besides who wouldn't pass up getting to wear a neat, durable space suit/uniform design that makes you look all sci-fi? So, who is interested, and who can best answer my question?

  6. Would Lynn be okay with a student employee? I'm sure Sakurako's parents would enjoy Sakurako working hard and not relying on her new trust fund.
  7. Somethin' new for the profile.
Also bein' it's May 1 and a Friday, expect a storm of posts.

  8. "Oh hey you two!" Sakurako said, adjusting herself. "So, any ideas on where to go, girls? I was thinking of heading over to the docks area north of Riverside Park... I discovered an awesome Sushi restaurant with fish fresh from the docks! It sort of felt like Tokyo, getting stuff from the fish market right to the restaurant in no time flat." She said. Leaning on the table. "We should take the radio along, it might be fun to listen to as we go along." Sakurako looked outside. "Bit cloudy... I hope people packed rain gear. Might get sort of soggy." Then again, Sakurako didn't mind walking around in her suit lately, She's started to become a fixture, helping out when needed around the docks, particularly the Coast Guard. She looked over to the radio. "Hey, let's see if that radio works, Vicki!" She said exitedly.
  9. Sakurako blushed, straightening out her coveralls. "You know, I could design up a arm-mounted typing device that can transmit to wearers wearing HUD glasses, or earpieces that translate text to speech." She said, smiling. "Wouldn't be as hard to lose, and it would open up communication options." Sakurako said, smiling. "Of course later on I plan on making a head-worn device that can translate thought to voice over a communication device." She looked over to the newcomer. "Oh, hello. I'm Sakurako. Pleased to meet you." She said with a smile. "I'm starting to notice there is a huge number of new students recently. A new wave if you will." She starts eating her Lasagna. "I sort of had an idea, gang, if you're interested?"
  10. Endeavor flew in, moments after the others arrived. Keeping to the sky, she used the small comlink Claremont students have to call up Nevermore. "I'm not seeing anything right now out of the ordinary." And it was easy for her to do that... she was some 500 feet above the scene, with Miracle Girl right behind her. "I got MG with me and we're gonna scope the place out." "Miracle Girl, swing over to the back and see what's up. I'll keep to the front to watch Nevermore and the new Battlesuit." She started analysing the potential points where a opponent could snipe or attack the group down below. "If something happens, fly in. I'll be right behind ya."
  11. Rav, I said I would be following you two. I wager Heri was on the same page with that.
  12. same here... gonna be break neck for me... I will make a Cyberpirates post IC, and GM tomorrow to start May off strong.
  13. I'll let the good captain say it for me...
  14. Shot down again... but there was merits to moving as a team. She chuckled a little, whispering... "By Hawking's particles..." She spoke up. A little disappointed but glad a plan was in place. "I'll fly overwatch then from above following the team, then. Got my back, Miracle Girl?" Endeavor said, hovering backward a little, about to hang in the air. She looked at Casey's day pack and she gestured to a spot behind the sign. She whispered. "You can hide your personal effects in there, Casey. This sign was put up three days ago. I know as this area is part of my test flying route. I don't think anyone will mess with your stuff up here. The lack of cigarette butts also suggests no one takes smoke breaks here." Endeavor nodded to the team. "I think we have a course of action. Transform and roll out!"
  15. Endeavor was hovering in place. "Miracle Girl and I are fliers, I think MG can provide transport for Nevermore. I need to go to the Gym." She said, switching her suit and kit colors white with blue sections and collar, with her vest turning red. An oddly patriotic color choice. "I wish I had a jet... but I can keep up with any milspec aircraft except certain fast-attack bombers. Think I should scout ahead, looking for any anomalous activity? My suit is a fully sealed system so I shouldn't have trouble with any pheremones this 'Luna Moth' has in the area. And if something does knock me out while airborne..." She pats a pack on her mission vest that sat high on her back near her shoulders. "...this'll save me." She looked over to the quickly formed team. "Just let me know what frequencies everyone uses for their personal communication devices and I should be A-okay for keeping in contact. I can scope out a landing position then we can investigate." She smiled, cradling her hands behind her, the sailor collar on her outfit moving in the breeze. "So... can it work? The plan, that is..."
  16. Endeavor sighed, flying behind the vehicle, and when it finally came to a stop, she stood behind the vehicle, waiting for the doors to open so she could fish out the trap. Once things were set, she used her EMWand to lift out the complex gadget out of the van and on to the ground. She assisted the mysterious team in re-assembling the thing in record time, minding her fixes to the whole kit. "Okay... whatever this thing does, it's all set here. If this can capture the beast, then we got things settled." She had to trust that the others were more than ready for a battle, as the sailor-suited super genius started making absolutely sure everything was plugged in right on the device. "No, no, no, that will reverse the polarity of the ion flow and kill everyone in a 100 foot radius! Plug that red wire in over there! And no, that add-on wasn't my fault it was the only way to bridge capacitor #12... it's an unfortunate feature, not a malfunction!" "By Tesla's coils..." she sighed.
  17. Initiative Roll: 1d20 4 Yeah unless some weird rolls happen, I ain't goin' first.
  18. Repaired the original post: http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/topic/8102-active-threads-for-march-2015/?do=findComment&comment=219821
  19. Sakurako smiled. "You wouldn't look like a stay-puft marshmallow man. Look up Mechanical Counter-pressure Suits. They're a design that's starting to be rolled out... in fact I think Claremont has a version of their training uniform that's designed to be used as a space suit..." She scratched her head. "...I think..." "You're coming along pretty well on the radio. As for my picking up on all this, by brain is like a natural information sponge, it works fast in knitting together information to form a cohesive sort of database. The neurologists who have scanned my brain saw it was networking to the point I'm almost like a dual-core computer. While thinking about one thing I can multitask on another. I'm still trying to refine my control of my mental capacity, but they've said with my lineage I might supersede my parents someday in the near future. At least with my current curve in overall aptitude testing." "Nothing replaces practice though, that's why it's frustrating for me sometimes to get an idea but it can take months to finally get everything down physically. It took me months to develop my E-Wand, and my suit is still under constant refinement." Smiling, she pulled up a picture on her smart phone. It was her in her Mother's costume when her mother was a sidekick. It was taken after helping her parents do some rescue work after the March 2011 earthquake in Japan. "Heh... I still love this outfit. The "Uncanny Schoolgirl" they called me. Well there was another name..." She blushed... "L... Lovely Scientist Sailor Sakurako..." She massaged her arm, embarassed. Then a text was recieved. "Oh! Casey is in route!" She said with a smile, her blush fading.
  20. Endeavor smiled. "Well if that is easier for you..." Endeavor said, pressing a button on her wrist causing her suit to loosen up to the point she could climb out of her suit's neck. There was a puff of cool, dry air as she stepped out of her suit like she hadn't been wearing a body-tight outfit. She was wearing a skin-tight black fabric under-suit though, looks like it was made for ease of changing into the suit without sacrificing modesty. She grabs the backpack she was carting with her and puts on a sailor collared pair of coveralls that was more workshop fashion than science fiction. "Okay... sometimes I like "shedding the skin" as it were." She said, setting her high tech suit on the table next to her where she could keep an eye on it. "And curse auto-correct... the bane of everyone's existence."
  21. Sakurako bowed slightly with a smile. "Nice to meet you." She scoots in her chair for a moment to set her labcoat over her chair's back. The full scope of Sakurako's Exploration Suit was something to see. It was a fully realized space suit. Although it looked like it didn't carry it's own oxygen. But Sakurako was working on fixing that. "Casey! I think I'm getting close to getting that rebreather and oxygen generation system up and running. Three words; Synthetic Hyper-Chlorophyll." She said with a smile. "Still working out the kinks, but if this works, I can have a reliable air supply at all times." She looked over to Vicki. "Sorry." Sakurako said, blushing. "Science is my super power and sometimes it likes to show off." "What's your powers, by the way? You and Casey seemed to be quietly observing each other."
  22. "By Marconi's Antennas... this project. It's a fun one. Of course I tweak mine to pick up on shortwave and other frequencies." She smiled starting to move the pieces on the table. Sometimes with electronics you have to arrange the parts first to show what part matches what on the diagram. "Okay, I moved the parts to match the diagram. Shouldn't take no more than a few minutes to put these parts on the board. I could show you how to make the receiver antenna pick up on short-wave..." She opens a drawer next to her grabbing a little more copper wire, wrapping it around the pole for the antenna. "It'll still fit in the box. The wire will have a greater field, allowing it to pick up on higher frequencies. Like the types of radio used by older aircraft and ships." "Knowing this might be useful if we ever go to space and have to repair a space capsule's radio or ones on the space station itself." Sakurako said, smiling still. Here she shined. "Of course, you'd look cute in a space suit." Smiling she gives Vicki the soldering gun. "I'll let you do the honors." Sakurako deftly avoided the question of Vicki's communication issues. To her, there wasn't an issue. She secretly thought of a tiara she could make for her to wear various things for the group to wear to allow her to use her ability to communicate mentally at a distance instead of having to touch people... She'll surprise her sometime.
