  4. Madame Raven “I do appreciate that, and I almost feel sorry for older me getting all my memories.” she allowed herself a quick smile. Then back the question at hand, she wondered if she was overthinking thing looking for a trick answer to an apparent simple question. Screw it why not try the simple answer for once? Sometimes you needed to take a few simple hit to tell how the other person fought. “Because we have the ability to do so! We have the power so we have the responsibility to help those that don’t.”
  5. Ms Grue Even though they were staying out of sight Daphne shifted to her human form, it was what she felt most comfortable being. Daphne then gave her little Nephew a big hug, she’d proud that he’d been to Claremont and done all the things she’d never had a chance having arrived on her own. She could have read his mind for the news, but she want to enjoy the excitement of him explaining it all. “Yes take a seat and tell us both about it!” She scooted round beside Lynn, no need to look like they were playing favourites or anything, they we’re all family after all!
  6. Starshine “I can do that!” Rosalind was happy that she could actually do something useful here. She was surrounded by a golden glow as she powered up and she carefully picked up one end of the object, she could probably manage the whole weight but she didn’t want Freedom Eagle to feel left out. “Do you know how what’s it’s like to fly in one of these thing?”she asked a little nervously “I know it’s a little weird what with me being able to fly, but I’ve never flown higher than the tree tops… and I’ve never been outside the state.” New experience was what this was all about, but it didn’t mean she wasn’t nervous about it all.
  7. Madame Raven Callie thought for a second on how to answer, it was a confusing mess of logic and emotions that even she hadn’t fully untangled yet. Best she could do was come up with some sort of analogy that they could understand. “Imagine your walking along and you find a little raven that’s fallen out of it’s nest. Being a good Samaritan you pick up the baby bird, the whole scene thing is obviously untrue, and you carefully return it to the nest. Not an easy thing because ravens keep there home well out of the way. Doesn’t matter if mama or papa Raven know what you did, that little raven is back safe with her brothers and sisters.” She took a breath to center herself before getting to the real important part. “Well this little Raven has been returned to the wrong nest! Don’t get me wrong I love my new found family deeply, but I need to know what and why this happened to me. If I’m younger version of elder Callie than obviously I won’t be able to remember all this, and if not I need to decide who exactly who I want to be.”
  8. Sister Blister Initiative: 1d20+4 21 Dama Maravilla Initiative: 1d20+7 10 Goon Initiative: 1d20+1 2 Merge Trois Initiative: 1d20+7 14
  9. Ms Grue Luckily Daphne had volunteered that day for monitor duty, it actually a nice way to relax and catch up on her television show. Mostly because today was pretty quiet and most of the major issues were dealt with by other, for others it might have been boring but spending so much time alone in space meant you learned to fill your time well. I have a call from Ms Epstein about your “Cousin” I shall tell them you are busy working… No wait it’s okay my shift was almost over, and for once we can take advantage of this for once… The replay was a little cryptic, A step to the left please, but the shimmer of the League’s teleporters made he idea obvious. Which quickly, when the area was clear, formed into the shape of Daphne “Hi am I late?”
  10. GM Post Then you were back in the cinema, in the same places as when you had all left. The chatter from others picking up as if nothing had happened. The heroes however knew something had happened and a quick glance at the clock showed that it was now after midnight. Almost nothing had changed, except for the posters of Nosferatu, now it showed that of Lauren Hammond in her Dracula role. Hopefully this was just a side effect of what had happen, though out of the corner of your eye you were sure she was moving however slowly...
  11. GM Post The calm look of her face quickly slid into one of pure rage, as her carefully constructed imaged began to crack as her features took on a more wraith like visage. She floated up into the air as she again looked more like the form know from her time in Freedom City. In her anger the castle faded into nothing but a white space, not a simple white but that caused by the light from a projector striking a cinema screen. “You shall all stuffer from you insolence…” she raged with a banshee screech “All of you shall suffer…” Something was happening to the void, but it wasn’t an effect from the cinema it was that of an old school television. The corners of the void was folding into a cathode ray blackness, slowly enough that for a moment she hadn’t noticed but even she was confused as to what was happening. “No wait I need more time, you promised, you promised...” Finally all you could see was everything going down to a dot, television killing the movie star.
  12. GM Post And with that the room was silent as the magic released began to settle back into the aether. After a few seconds the ghostly staff began to renter the room, some coming from the literal woodwork. The hotel itself began to heal the damage to its structure, caused by friend and foes alike. Within a few hours, by the dawn of what was now All Saints Day, the hotel would look like nothing had happened on this night. Except for those with the senses to see magical energies, for there was now a small tear into the fabric of reality, one that would take decades, if not centuries to heal. A weakness that would need to be guarded least something again attempted to enter Earth-Prime.
  13. GM Post The room was filled with fire and ice as the bugs were boiled and frozen, or simply squashed, filling the room with another stench of decay to go with that of the Carrion Queen. And even though she seem to discount the attack initially she quickly saw the building threat, first simply hold off foes with one hand whilst fighting the barrier, them with both throwing some of the mages away with telekinetic sweeps of her hands. Drawing on her powers, weakened from crawling up through the lower dimensions, distracted her enough that Ouroboros stuck with unerring accuracy. She begun to fall backwards until the portal caught her dragging her back to her home dimension. As it did she scream, a scream of pure rage and frustration that chilled the hearts of all but the sternest of souls. She used no word but the intent was obvious, she would return…
  14. Starshine Well that could have gone much worse Roselind mused as she smiled faintly and processed the question. It was a good sign they didn’t start with any of those difficult mentor type questions. She wasn’t really comfortable anywhere yet, well not comfortable enough to sit and chat. “Well back home I liked to go walk in Wharton forest, the other side from Freedom. It’s not quite the same but there’s a little grove of tree’s down the bottom of the campus. If you don’t mind, it’s quite a walk to get there. Unless you can fly?” Was it considered rude to ask other supers if they could fly? This whole super business needed a good guide about the does and don’t of team-ups.
  15. Madame Raven Callie knew Alek well enough to know he wouldn’t do anything obvious, but she’d not been sure what it’d be replaced with. So she dressed in a comfortable but practical crop-top and sweatpants, something she’d wear regularly but could also be used for a good workout. Still the question caught her out, so whilst she tried to figure out a good answer she stalled a little. “Do you want the cliché answer about how most billionaires are idiots that don’t use there money to help others? Or should I spin the tale about gaining revenge on my dead mother?” Both were sort of true, but Callie knew that wasn’t what he was on about, but how he responded would tell her if he knew how he wanted her to answer. With the Raven’s it was always about wheels within wheels.
  16. Emerald Spider Peri looked over at this newcomer, she’d should have expected another hero to turn up really. She did raise an eyebrow at them asking her why she was here, hidden under her goggles. Maybe they were or new or maybe they just didn’t recognize her costume? “Emerald Spider, rooftop inspector! I think I have my Identity card on me somewhere?” she quipped hanging upside down from a suitable piece of roof architecture as she patted for non existing pockets “Can we bypass the whole superhero misunderstanding part and compare notes of why we’re here?”
  17. Liam Conners In a place like Bedlam one hero was pretty rare, two was almost unheard off. He guess technically three, but he didn’t feel like your classic superhero. Still he could maybe act as a go between to de-escalate the potentially violent situation. “Look your out numbered and probably out classed, how about you put down the fancy sticks and we’ll just call this a day?” This was very unlikely thing in a place like Bedlam, but you never know it might be the one in a million time that it would just work!
  18. Madame Raven Callie was sorely tempted to follow Charlie up to the roof, but being responsible (for now) she decided to stick with the one less stealthy member of there team. “Next time we go out I’m bringing a kitty cam! At least it’ll make for some interesting footage for my channel.” she grinned to herself before adding “So we good for a two pronged attack? Or you do you need to do the cowl things before it all starts?” She was also a fan of all that cowl like stuff, but not today, she’ll make up for it some other day.
  19. The Immutable Betsy Brooks Betsy grabbed up the map and strolled with some confidence into the graveyard, truth be told she was relying more on her preternatural senses than any map reading ability. She quickly abandoned the foot paths as they travelled back through the history of Freedom Cities finest. Betsy was pretty sure that no one here would be to worried about her path through the graveyard. “We’re almost there I think! I’m not sure how we’ll be welcomed so expect the unexpected.” Betsy was pretty sure that he wouldn’t be upset, but she had a way of rubbing people the wrong way without trying.
  20. Starshine In Rosalind's experience, in more mundane circles, only the very best or the very worse got a mentor and she didn’t feel she counted as both. Really she wanted to take the day off and just scroll through Tik Tok all day, but apparently it wasn’t an option. So she pulled on her lucky chunky turtle-neck sweater and slunk down to meet her mentor. Whilst the local news back in Shamong covered most hero activity in it’s bigger neighbour, there were so many heroes it was difficult to keep track of them all and she only vaguely recognized the name. Still no reason to be rude or anything. “Erm, Ms O’Cure, I’m Roselind pleased to meet you!” she had a local New Jersey accent
  21. Traveller Sitara followed the flow of the conversation with some amusement, she’d hear similar conversations many time before on many teams. “Beside you all stand out like a cadet review!”she added with some amusement, before adding more seriously. “We could use this to our advantage though. You could turn up to whatever counts as law enforcement with warrants for two newcomers. If they’re crocked it will back up our story, if not they might know other places we’ll miss?” It was an old way to do this, but it did tend to work and only rarely made things more complicated...

  23. GM Post “These entrances are so tedious, but the fans expect such things,” she spoke with one of those weird accents you only heard in Goldern Age movies “But now I think it’s time for a scene change.” With a wave of her hand and a screen wipe, you were in what looked to be an old mansion or castle. At least the type seen in a hundred black and white horror movies. You were all sat at a large oak table with your host at the head of the table lounging in a big throne-like chair. “I tire of these games and wish to stay here for a while, but it seems that someone alive must fuel my kingdom!” she waved a hand as if it was like some tiresome business of etiquette. “Either one of you must volunteer to stay or I choose one from the mob you secured...”
  24. Revenant Despite her career being after her first passing Lucy had caught up with most of the movies. One of the advantages of not needing to sleep was all that time to catch up on things. “Why is it always vampires?” she added with a sigh “Besides I thought sister number three played her part much better!” She had been helping rescue the more innocent, though the younger heroes seem to have the matter in hand when this new wrinkle appeared on the horizon. “This is at least going to be interesting to see what she has planned now.” Expecting trouble Lucy struck a pose ready to fight as needed.
  25. GM Post With the last few issues of the plan figured out it was finally time to open the fine ash door. Despite the bulk of the door it opened smoothly without any real effort revealing the hall had been wrecked as if it had been hit by a hurricane. In the middle of the room, her back to the heroes was the Carrion Queen who seemed to be idly touching the air with her talon-like fingers. It glowed and made a little ringing sound, but the glow was faint and time was running out to stop this planar invader. “My world had the likes of you, heroes...” she said the word long and sibilant, like some kind of slur “But now they serve me body and soul.” She turned around slowly, with apparently some sense of drama for those that appreciated such things. “You will now try and stop me, a futile effort but I appreciate the effort. Normally I’d call upon the vermin of this place to defend me, but this place is remarkable free of such beast. But luckily I bought some of my own.” From the dimensional rift poured a horde of beetles as big as someone’s hand. They looked as if someone like if Geiger had designed a Scarab beetle, a gross monstrosity of the natural thing.
