For the moment Ruby just let the reunion run its course. "Ruby Voxx. Captain of the Voidrunner." She announced as she stepped forward, her accent sounding notably British rather than the neutral tone her translator put through. "Things got rather..." She paused as she glanced over Jessie and Aquaria. "...complicate. Fast. Then again thats most of our jobs." She was not sure just how significant the idea of a Star Knight getting killed would be on this world. That would have to be something to discuss once all the feel good emotions of their reunion had faded. "I doubt Terra is involved in the pan-galactic trade of Credits. Though I think I recall Aquaria here mentioning something about treasure?" In hindsight they were likely making things up under duress. Could not hurt to ask after all.

Sorry for the vanishing act over the past few days. Had a bad case of the flu that left me out of commission, which came with a hefty dose of depression and a mild existential crisis about my well being and mortality. Always a fun thing to go through Anyway. Apologies if I held up any threads, I'll try and catch up.

Ruby felt another shot connect with her torso. But unlike the other time it reflected harmlessly off of her battle-scared armor. She glanced up. It was difficult to work out where the hell that shot came from other than somewhere up above. Scanning... Part of her helmets HUD read on the corner of her eye. It would likely take another shot from the sniper to figure out the source of laser fire. Not a prospect she was looking forward to... Her trail of thought was interrupted up by the sight of Roulette laying down threats about how dangerous he was...And getting shot in the chest for it. It was moments like this that made her question why it was so difficult to capture him in the first place. "Turk, less talk and more shooting!" She shouted before opening another burst of fire from her rifle, this time aimed as Suul. While it looked like a few shot it, she suspected it did not quite hit anywhere he would feel it. Not wanting to have her head taken off from the next shot from her mystery assailant, she ducked behind her stall.

Making rolls now: Toughness Save: 28 Ruby feels nothing but annoyance. Notice Check: 28: Ruby Sees All! I'll hold off from posting actions until I know what I have noticed. EDIT: OK. gonna attempt to shoot Suul in the face. Ruby gets a 27 (Accidentally rolled a +10 instead of a +12)

Ruby opted to stay in her armor for this. Did not matter if the planets inhabitants were not hostile, it worked in her favor to act somewhat paranoid about the possibility of getting shot. Her helmet remained absent however. "This planet is listed as a developing world Turk. The ship is still good for travel to the next few systems so you don't have to worry about that." The Voidrunners engines might require a lot of power but they could hold enough fuel in reserve before that could become a problem. She followed the others to the airlock and down the ramp. Her repeater rifle was magnetized to the back of her armor. "I'd say more than a few monsters." She said. Ruby was a bit surprised by how similar Erin and Jesse looked. Either they had cloning technology or they were twins. Guess Turk wasn't far off after all.

Ruby's cried out as the full force of the shot threw her should back. Bloody hell. Ambush it is. She though as she clutched the scorched armor plate. The fact the blast did not leave her in shock was a small miracle. She scanned the area quickly, eyes darting between the sudden appearing of rivals and the chaos you get when people start opening fire in a crowded space. There was an freshly abandoned stall nearby. There was not a lot of options other than stand in the open so she quickly dashed over to it and leaped over, scattering trinkets and other cheap souvenirs across the ground. There was no guarantee her cover would hold against them, but she just needed it to last long enough to take everyone down. She peered over the counter and spotted the bounty hunter that fired into Roulette. If they wanted the option of retreat, he needed to go. She aimed her rifle and opened a volley of kinetic bolts into his chest before ducking back to safety. Ruby was doing her best to ignore the shooting pain in her shoulder.

Notice Check: 18 Toughness Save: 23 Ruby is stunned and bruised by surprised attack. Spend a Hero Point to shake off stunned. You do not want to stand around in the open like that. Move to cover in a nearby stall. Get a +4 to defense and +2 Reflex saves. Assuming said stall can survive an onslaught of bullets and such Open fire on the Bounty Hunter behind the Voidrunners. Since he is nameless unlike mystery Sniper I'm gonna take 10 to open fire on him.

Ruby's helmet immediately materialized around her head. To hear Roulette's name spoken aloud was usually the signal that violence was about to break out. She did not recognize the man threatening them right away until her vision zoomed in. Must have come along with the Khanate ship. She concluded. Whether or not this was a coincidence or a planned ambush did not really matter. He was threatening the Voidrunners and that was something she could not let slide. "Too bad, you are already interfering." She said as she drew her rifle and aimed it at him. Hate criminal Bounty Hunters...

Ruby rolled her eyes. Of course the Voidrunner could. The ship was not a space locked capital ship after all. Though for the sake of politeness and not screwing up this job after coming this far she elected not to voice that fact. "Understood. Changing heading now." She voiced back before pulling the ship off course with the Lighthouse. She did wonder what had happened to change plans so fast. Caution might be needed once they hit dirtside. At the very least, the grey dreary imagery that was sent to the navcomp did tug at distant memories. Certainly looks like home.

Ruby would have groaned if she was not worried about giving away her own position. She made a mental note not to bring bring Bliss onto a planet with ultra-deadly fauna. Stomping around like she was can get one killed. None the less she kept as quiet as possible while scanning the surroundings for anything. Ruby didn't hear anything, but she lacked any enhanced hearing systems. "Try to get around and flank them Seika." She told her reptilian companion while she moved to do the same. Using Bliss as a distraction but she was confident she could handle whatever they could throw at her..

Galactic politics was something Ruby tried her best to ignore most of the time. Unless it had an effect on what kind of jobs she had in mind or something was going to drag her into a war, she did not care. Though that said when the Khanate flies in with a Warship even she takes notice. "Good thing I stocked up on munitions then." Envoys or not, you don't bring that kind of firepower unless you really want to see it used. At least things were likely going to be more interesting. "We seem pretty well provisioned for now. Anything else we need?" The layout of the station did leave her head spinning a bit and she would be glad to leave soon, warship or not.

Ruby shrugged as she drank more of her explosion of multi-coloured liquor. "All that I know about you is what is written on your old bounty profile and what Turk has said." She said with all the implications left to the Xuli'pan's imagination. The noise coming into the bar caught her attention. Mercs in bars after a major victory were the sort that would cause trouble eventually. The Bounty Hunter shifted her self so that she was still in sight of them, her rifle was easy enough to draw. There was always the chance they might not actually cause trouble, but it pays to have something close to precautions.

IT was one of those times Ruby wished she had spent more of her credits on the Jet Pack modification for her armor. It would make traversing mountainous terrain a lot easier. "And leave us exposed to attack with no way of fighting back? Never." She stated. Wasn't much of a rebuttal, she really did not like the idea of being shot at and being unable to retaliate in some way. She kept her rifle up as she looked ahead. Her helmets Thermal imaging activating to look into the forest. Either she will see flames and cooling metal. Or someone waiting in ambush.
