  1. Things have fallen apart at home. Staying at sister's place and limited to mobile for internet. ETA on return. Is unknown at this time.
  2. "Wait here." She told the Dryad as Rosethorn approached. Her movements started to slow down. As she reached some bushes, her body shimmered, as though one was seeing a mirage. Her body blended in seamlessly with the foliage. The teenager spied on the scene and winced when one of them started showing a casual interest in cannibalism. Don't think you'll be going any further. She thought as her hand touched the cold, hard ground. A system of roots started to form and burrowed forward towards the strange men, soil and dirt being disturbed by the sudden existence of plant life. As soon as it reached their feet, vines and fly traps erupted from the earth. Limbs were quickly bound. Lilly chose not to reveal herself yet, weary of what exactly these men were doing. Or if they were reallly men at all.
  3. Ruby is gonna try and avoid. Aaaand its a 19. Well she tried.
  4. I'm currently struggling with depression, anxiety and trying to not go insane at the state of the world. Unsurprisingly my posting is gonna be a lot slower and I won't be popping into chat quite as often as I did before.
  5. Lilly is making an Arcane Lore check to work out everything she has learned so far. 1d20+5 = 17
  6. There was now the growing question in Lillys mind as to how much money Jann had exactly when he pulled out a tablet computer. While her knowledge of the stranger parts of the world was limited, she would not have thought an part bird humanoid would have that much money. This would have been a question she would have asked if it had not been the mention of the basement. Puzzled, she took the device from Jann and started reading the page. "Ooooh....Spooky." Lillian concluded after reading through everything with a slight smile on her lips. "So we were dealing with a vengeful spirit? One that can't move on?" She asked.
  7. Lilly nodded. She suspected their powers worked differently as soon as they started teleportation dimensions. There was still the question if she could do that however. "I could have a look around later on. A good mix of nature spirits might be able to help with your plans to fix this planet up." The teen offered as she grabbed her coffee and added in a few spoonfuls of sugar. "I'm...Not sure." She answered with a frown. "Honestly I have not put that much thought into the future. Been busy just trying to get through each day. Does sound kinda exciting but I'm not sure how that might cut into my... new responsibilities." Lillian looked down at her hand, eyebrows creased like she was in deep thought. She sighed, shook her head and took a sip of her coffee.
  8. Lilly took a seat near the Avian. She was still wondering how he managed to afford that outfit he was wearing. "Good. Just trying to get back to regular sleeping hours." She told him as she got comfortable. The teen gave Jann another once over. It was rare for Lilly to feel jealousy in her life but here she was. Must cost quite a bit... She also was not expecting the feeling that Jann was a regular. "So, whats going on?" Lilly asked, tilting her head. "You don't normally send texts that long."
  9. Wouldn't mind giving this a shot with Lilly. Plus it would mean we can use the background NPCs as more than setting information
  10. Lilly's frown returned, even deeper than before. "No Spirits here at all?" That thought seemed even more troubling than the Nazi's ruling everything right then. Though it was possible something was nearby. She was a bit afraid to actually look outside and check. She nodded along with what Stesha said while the teen patiently waited for her coffee. "No. Nothing yet. I don't know how that's handled." She said, shaking her head. "Though I have met a few of the others there. They seem nice so far." There was a small pause. It looked like she was thinking on what to say next. "...Whats the Freedom League like?"
  11. It was almost unheard of for Lilly to find a place where she fitted in. Eclipse was rapidly turning into that for her. Feeling a little under dressed compared to some of these people. Then again, Thornwood was not the place for shopping for anything at all. Still the dark atmosphere and music was making Lilly smile. Which was a rare sight for anyone that knew her. Moving through the crowd of people and black fabrics, she spotted a pair of wings. Janns appearance threw her off completely. She would have never guessed that would have been something he had somewhere in his closet.. "Uh...Hey, Jann!" She called out as she approached him.
  12. LIllian had heard of Eclipse. She even thought about going down there one day. Guess today's the day then. Still it was a bit odd. Eclipse would be the sort of place Jann would hang out. Then again she had never been so she honestly would not know for certain. OK. Need to get ready. Half an hour later the teen plant controller was a few feet away from teh club. She went for something casual. Black jeans, boots and a shirt with her leather jacket. It was still too cold for dresses. She started scanning the area for the Avian. "Where is he? Guy with wings should be pretty hard to miss." She mumbled to no one in particular.
  13. While it had been great to see her parents again, Lilly was just glad to be away from her hometown and back at Freedom City. The strange stares some of the other teenagers gave her when she was visiting were a lot more off putting. Maybe that coven is watching me? That thought did not comfort her at all. She was yawning just as she got her message from Jann. The though of him trying to operate a touch screen with his talons did cross her mind for a moment before she tapped a reply. Sure. Where?
  14. "Well-" Rosethorn did not really have any answers about the forests silence but she would have answered why with the preserve. Would have been the key as her head whipped towards the sound of chainsaws running and screaming. It hurt in a way she did not think it was possible. She charged towards the sounds of destruction with all the haste she could. Not as planned at all. She thought as she broke through the foliage towards their target.
  15. "So spirits don't maintain it? Huh. Most of everything I create seems to last and act like a proper plant when I grow it...Assuming it grew out of soil." A few experiments with her powers have taught Lilly that while she could grow plants out of some questionable places, they were not likely going to last unless planted somewhere they could actually survive. Still, she listened as Stesha explained everything from the house to where exactly they were. "I haven't been at Claremont long but I do remember it being covered in science class. They only sorta covered the basics and some dimensions like the Nazi one." She frowned when she recalled that place. The idea of them winning the war was terrifying for her. Thankfully that thought along with whatever existential terror that would lead to was dislodged by a more important question. "Oh, no milk please."
  16. It was starting to sound like Ruby did not do enough to distinguish herself in distant past of these people. No eternal Glory for me to be immortalised by... At least the voidrunners are remembered. A very long, drawn out sigh came from her helmet as she continued to observe. Her head tilted towards Bliss. "Stop it Bliss. I'm starting to think they are not lying...Much." At the very least they were prone to not explaining anything to her satisfaction and that comes dangerously close to lying by omission as far as she was concerned. The alarms put her immediately onto high alert, rifle raised before learning what exactly was going on. "If they are anything like the mega-fauna on Serenos Prime, then I'm going to have some fun." The Bounty Hunter said as she followed the commotion. It almost sounded like she was happy, which is a first since coming to this planet that gave her nothing but anger and disappointment thus far.
  17. Lillian opened her eyes and stared at the world before her. Looks like something out of a fairy tale. It even felt different in some almost imperceptible way that defied description. She wondered how the spirits here might be different from the ones around Freedom City. Does the Court of Leaves reach extend to here as well? Then of course another question came that knocked her out of her fascinated contemplation. "Terraform? What happened?" Lilly paused as she thought on the question. The teenager was not sure how much about herself she was allowed to reveal. That was another thing she would no doubt need to ask the school staff about in the future. "I'm from a small town in Oregon. It was a bit overgrown. But not quite like this." She explained, gesturing to the surrounding forest with her hand. "How did you make that anyway? Aren't you worried its going to wither away during the winter?" She pointed to Stesha's house sitting in the clearing.
  18. Her hand lingered on the tree trunk, getting a feel of the power underneath the bark. Lilly sighed as she backed away. "Not sure if thats a bad thing or not..." Frowning, she turned away from the tree and faced the Dryads again. "Not sure what I can do to get them to talk. All we can do is wait I suppose." Her phone came out of her pocket and she scrolled through a list of apps before opening the Maps app. A few seconds of checking it later she nodded and slipped it back into her pocket. "We're not far off from the Preserve though. C'mon. If we hurry we can get this done before lunch."
  19. Lillian waved at Ammy just as she vanished into the crowd of students. She stood back up and smiled. "Yeah. Coffee always sounds good." "So far I have. I've have a bit of a control problem...But I haven't turned the school into a jungle yet so thats a good sign." She thought about it for a moment before giving a shrug and continuing. "I haven't tried growing my plants from seeds. Not even sure where I can get Venus Fly Trap seeds" Lilly made sure this time to keep her eyes shut when she entered the light.
  20. From down here in Australia to the rest of you across the globe, Happy New Year to all of you all at Freedom City Play by Post. Lets see if we can keep going through 2017 shall we?
  21. Other than the bright light, it was no doubt the smoothest jump Lilly had done since gaining her powers. That did not stop her from trying to blink and rub her eyes in an attempt to get rid of the blotches in her vision quickly. Her eyes recovered fast enough for her to see the students arrive. It really does look like a miniature Claremont. Lillian looked down at Ammy and smiled. "Aww, Thank you." She crouched down again and took the flower. Her hand went behind her back and she concentrated for a moment. A small sprout appeared behind her. It grew rapidly, although the jerky growth gave one the impression the teen might lose control and create something else altogether. But in the end she managed. The flower bloomed into a pink llily. She managed to pluck it from the earth and hand it to Amaryllis. "Here you go. One for you as well."
