The ship status screen flashed red, icons pointing to various sections of The Voidrunner detailing the damage to the ship. "Tell me you are fixing things back there and not just standing around!" Ruby shouted over the intercom as she banked the ship away from the canyon walls. A flash from the targeting screen and the bounty hunter pulled the trigger on the autoguns. Her hopes that fighter would get ripped apart were granted as it seemed nearly every round hit home. It lost control and crashed into the canyon side just as The Voidrunner managed to make the turn. Barely. That feeling of victory was starting to fade however as she glanced again on the status screen. "Bloody Hell. Ships taken too much, we won't be able to leave the atmosphere until we get some repair work sorted out." She sighed as sighed. Hitting a few switches, she started scanning for someplace to land. And for anymore ships looking to permanently ground them.

Thats a 30 on the piloting roll. The ship is not going to crash that easily!

Not going to have much left with all the repairs I'll need to do at this rate. Ruby thought with a groan as the ship hit rock and dust. She managed to pull the ship away from the canyon walls when the ships targeting computer beeped. With most of her attention focused on not crashing the ship, she pulled the trigger and hoped the autoguns would tear their pursuers in half. Once again the turrets fired round after round into the opposing fighters. One of them took the brunt of the assault, the other seemed to dodge them quite easily. Ruby sighed. The sensors were probably thrown off by near crash they suffered.

"Very reassuring Turk." Ruby said over the intercom. The flashing images on the display would worry most pilots, but she knew the Voidrunner could easly take plenty of punishment, although the difficulty maneuvering the ship was something she would have to look into once all this was said and done. But what annoyed her the most was the targeting system continually flashing Targets not found. Apparently her attackers were not following them into the canyon. The Bounty Hunter kept the targeting systems active for the moment they would show themselves. In the meantime she kept the ship moving, dodging and weaving between rock formations and trying to do her best to make the Voidrunner a harder target for their pursuers once they decide to open fire once again.

Making Rolls now First roll: 17! Second Roll: 20! We have taken damage! EDIT: Piloting roll requested in Chat. That roll comes out to 30

Ruby gritted her teeth as the ship shuddered from the attack. "Well fine! If you are gonna be like that I hope you like Autocannon fire." She announced before she practically punched the comms panel to switch it off. Eyeing the sensors, she slowed the ship down enough for one of the fighters to get in close. One of the screens started to flash red with the words Target locked. Smiling, Ruby pulled the trigger on her flight controls. Outside, the Voidrunners Autogun barrels started to rotate. In seconds the air between the ships with filled with superheated shrapnel digging into the fighters hull. Ruby couldn't properly assess how much damage it was doing but judging by the smoke she was certain it was a direct hit.

Voidrunner moves into position and opens fire. The roll is a 23. The Voidrunner has Blast 10 with Autofire. Mentioning it here just to help account for damage

"Knowing our luck its ether mobsters coming after you or one of your ex'es looking for revenge." Ruby said over the intercomm. She continued dodging laser fire with the Voidrunner, still waiting for the ships sensors to lock onto their opposition. She pulled up a panel and started searching the channels for frequencies. Soon as she managed to find it she spoke. "This is the Voidrunner, if you do not stop firing on us I will ventilate your ships."

Ruby gritted her teeth as she tried her best to dodge laser fire, knuckles turning white as her grip on the controls tightened. For a ship its size, the Voidrunner was doing well at not getting blasted out of the sky. Its always the easy jobs that go to hell. She though as she tapped at a control console to her right. Outside the ship several ports opened up and the Autogun systems began loading the weapons with ammunition. The Bounty Hunter then tapped another key. "You know the drill, if anything is on fire put it out immediately and hold on tight." She announced over the intercom while weaving through ship fire. Whoever was attacking them was a question for later for all she cared. Getting out alive and with their payday was a much higher priority in her opinion. a holoscreen flashed to life, showing ship integrity and the weapon targeting systems. All she really needed now was a lock and she could open fire.

Riff nodded as he looked away from the Needle and back to the team. "Yeah I'm with her doctor. We can study this stuff when we aren't in crisis mode." He looked over to his older self and nodded. "So, what the game plan for this?" Warren nodded. "I'd so go inside. Not all of us can fly as far as I can tell." The rockstar said as he strummed his guitar and checked the tone. Seemingly satisfied he started making his way to the tower. "C'mon, lets get going."

"Hey, I just got sent here by Summers from Prime. No idea someone would want to start screwing with the space-time continuum at the same time." Riff said, before looking at the tower again with a glare. "Mad scientists have bad timing." Warren paused, eyebrow raised. "Uh huh... Anyway, we should go up and stop whatever is going on up there before the city implodes or something." The rockstar was not entirely sure what to make of his younger counterpart, but at the moment he was starting to feel more tense as they stood there talking. He looked at the younger girl before him. "So, up for punching people in the face and saving the world?"

"Whoa." Both Riffs said i unison the moment they saw each other. "Well ok then. I was hoping for backup but...Wasn't expecting this." the older one said as he looked over the two heroes. The younger Riff gave both of the new arrivals a quick look over. "No goatees or blood splattered designs so neither of you seem to be from Anti-Earth. I think we should be alright." He said as he lowered his hand from the guitars neck. He was already starting to like this scientist version of his partner a lot more than this universes one. "So, you guys know who's the one screwing with reality?" "From the sounds of it a german scientist. Think there is only one of him." Warren paused as he looked at his younger counterpart "...Your Doktor Archvile an insane megalomaniac here?" He asked. Riff shrugged. "I dunno. But we should get moving before something bad happens. Plus the bands got practice today."

Ruby checked the ships speed, rapidly making adjustments as she banked left and right to avoid most debris flying across the empty void. Last thing she needed was to attempt to pick a fight with a puddle of nanties on her ship. "Considering how much is going on right now I Don't think that will be much of a problem." She replied as she started to maneuver the ship towards its new destination. "I do hope you all decide what to do next soon. I doubt another shouting match with the Gorgon is gonna go my way if the Communion have their way." Having some control of her ships fate seems to have calmed her down even with the threats surrounding them

Ruby took slow, deep breaths as she found herself going down a corridor into what she can assume is the prison's cafeteria. She turned her head and glared at Roulette. There was rage in that look for the first time since they started working together. "Stahnze, be kind and remind me why I have not collected the price on your head?" She said in a harsh whisper between gritted teeth. Apparently getting caught, beaten up, having her ship impounded and all belongings seized because a certain Zultasian thought that was the perfect way of infiltrating The Rock was one of the ways of getting the normally cool headed Bounty Hunter angry. She might be doing this as both a favour for someone that helped her out with the Gorgon and for the money. It did not mean she enjoyed it.

Modern "Well, if you say so Doc." Warren said. He looked a little concerned as he observed her crossing realities. It was still a surreal experience. He still felt nervous as he started to approach the anomaly. From what he could remember this Dimension spat him back out before he ever had the chance to so much as look on the other side. The question remained if it would do that to him now if he attempted to cross that threshold. Slowly taking a breath, the rock star stepped forward and hoped he was not going to be spat back out.

CUT BY HGM Making some more Ruby Changes: +2 to Strength -1 to Strike in Rubys Sword. but adding +1 to the Penetrating. Also re flavouring it to an energy blade so the stats and fluff make a bit more sense. New complication: The Jacket.

Teen Riff rolled his eyes and held his hand close to his ear. Closing his eyes, the guitarist constrained as he focused on the building with his superhuman hearing. "Hm...Hearing some machinery up there...Only one guy up there as far as I can tell. Sounds German." He shrugged as he let his arm fall to his side. "Not picking up any hostages. So long as he has no surprises your plan might-" He was interrupted by the announced arrivals of others. He squinted as he tried to make out details of those on the other side. His own sonar hearing was not getting through. Something about this felt...Off. He slowly gripped the neck of his guitar and waited to see what was going to happen.
