  1. Winter Viewing Claremont Academy Dorms Lillian King stared out of the window of her dorm room. The world outside was blanketed in thick layers of snow, both in the air and the ground. Through the blizzard she could make out a few strange figures below. Some resembled spiders if they were made of some strange combination ice, snow and snowflakes. Others looked closer to humans crafted from jagged icicles. They twirled and danced in the blizzard that rained down on the city. She sighed as she wrapped her black and purple blanket around herself and closed the curtains. The weather felt off to her in some impercivable way, but there was little she could do. The dorm had been snowed in and her powers gave her little protection over the freezing weather. At least class had been cancelled. No way anyone was leaving the building in this weather. A small consolation to Lilly as she was still trapped inside a buidling full of students. That thought alone made her shiver harder. Memories of Thornwood came back to her. Imagining them with even a quarter of the powers she had seen here felt horrible. She shuffled back to her bed and went back to browsing the internet on her laptop, a stream of youtube videos and some music loaded and ready to keep her company. There was a some running outside her room, followed by some laughter. A slow, sad sigh leaked out as she started scrolling through her choices. A knock came from her door. It nearly made Lilly leap out of the bed. Her heart was racing as she tried to calm down. “Uh, just a sec.” She called out as struggled out of her bed, which had only started to get nice and warm. A quick look in the mirror to make sure her eyeliner was still holding up and she opened the door. Angel Davis was standing there. From what Lilly recalled she gave herself The White Witch, though the reason for the name escaped her other than the fact she had access to real magic. “Hey. Noah and the others managed to find some movies and are getting them ready downstairs. They were wondering if you were interested in joining them.” “What kind of movies?” Lilly asked. Angel shurgged. “I think they said the ‘Bad-good’ kind. Whatever that means. I think Noah one of them had a killer snowman in them. ” Black fingernails tapped against the door while Lilly processed. She looked back into her room with the Laptop. Then her attention went back to Angel who was still waiting for an answer. “…I guess I could watch a few. Snow day after all.” Lilly relented. Angel smiled. “Cool. I need to see anyone else is interested. I’ll see you down there.” And with that the younge witch started making her way down the dorm hall to another room. Lilly took a step ouside her room and closed the door. Perhaps the sutdents here really were not as bad as Thornwood High. That thought managed to bring a small smile to her face as she started making her way downstairs.
  2. Lilly hesitated the moment she heard the words 'Dimensional Travel' uttered. A frown started to show. "Can't say I've done it a lot... " She said. While she did have some experience with the Root Roads, it did leave her a bit dizzy. "...Shouldn't be too much of a problem though." The teen concluded, managing to look a bit more resolute. Though once again she paused the moment she saw how she would be making the jump between worlds. The sight of Amaryllis walking in like it was nothing did give her a bit of a confidence boost. Can't embarrass myself. Lilly thought as she took her first tentative steps into the sunflower.
  3. The Teen did not seem that surprised by that revelation. "Oh. Well I hope you have fun at school." Lilly said with one last smile before standing back up. Nicholson was something she had heard of coming here, but it was more of something on the periphery with Claremont and all the strangeness that came with it occupying most of her attention. "They didn't give me much of a curriculum myself." Lilly herself admitted. It was obvious this program had a few kinks they were still working out. At least not showing up out of costume was not going to get her in trouble. "That sounds like a plan. I haven't had one today."

  5. Lilly's eyes went wide the moment Stesha announced herself, her phone vanishing into her pocket. It was apparent this is not quite what she expected. It took her a moment to realise that she might have been staring a second a longer than necessary. "Oh hey. Yes. I'm Lillian." She said a little nervously. The young plant controller seemed to calm down a little as Stesha approached. She looked down and crouched down to Amaryllis's level. "Hi. Don't worry, I don't bite." she said with a reassuring smile and a small wave.
  6. Lilly sat just inside the Administrative Building of the Claremont Academy, anxiety slowly building up as time stretched on with the only distraction being the wi-fi on her phone. The young plant controller had been offered to take part of a mentorship program that the school had been developing for some time. The plan was to pair a student up with another superhero so they could better grasp their powers from someone with more experience. More similar the abilities, the better. It was a coincidence that Freedom City was frequented by Fleur de Joie, a legendary plant controller who had earned a place on the Freedom League and was adored by millions in the country. One could see why Lillian King would be more than a bit nervous. She was not sure if she was suppose to do their first meeting in costume or now. The uncertainty was enough to convince her to stay casual for today. Black jeans, black shirt, leather jacket to keep the cold out and a pair of worn boots just in case she had to do any running. And so, she waited for her arrival.
  7. Happy Birthday Tiff. This is significantly belated but I hope the sentiment counts.
  8. Silence was often welcomed by Rosethorn. A welcomed respite from dealing with people more afraid of the colour black than what was considered rational. But this was different. It if was not for the distant sound of birdsong this silence would be crushing her. The lack of spirits made that feeling even worse. Even the school and city has more life in it. She though, a frown creeping onto her face as they went in deeper into the woods. She eyed one of the stumps and her frown deepened. She stopped in front of one of the still standing trees. Her knuckles rapped against the bark. "Hello?" Rosethorn called out. "Anyone here?" Part of her was hoping she did not need to speak the language of the spirits to get something out of them.
  9. And then it was gone. Lilly felt oddly better not being in that fake forest. She looked down and double checked her costume for wear and tear. ...Hm, held up pretty well. She looked back at Jann and shook her head. "Na. I think that's enough excitement for one day. Besides, I still need to read up on some things." Her hand hit her ear and she winced. There was still a faint bit of ringing in them. If it did not fade after a few minutes she was worried she would go insane. "It was pretty fun though. Might try this again soon or something."
  10. I'm kinda fine wrapping up here. Up to TV though.
  11. Rosethorn nodded, a small frown forming, It was not an answer that really satisfied. Then again the words 'When your older' still annoyed her, no matter the context or metaphor. The teenager paced around for a short time. Contemplating. Finally, she spoke. "I'm gonna need some time to get ready. If I'm going to get any of you a new home I'll need to check on the locations of nature preserves in the forest and look into the illegal logging going on in the area." Also get properly dressed. Her costume could handle the winter weather better than just her jacket and regular black clothes could. She shivered a bit. "Once I'm ready, we'll get started. Unless you have anything else to share."
  12. Lilly was left in awe of Janns assault on the giant monster, even as she struggled to stay on her feet following its fall to the ground. Silence fulled the air, until the teen plant controller broke it. "Wow. OK, that was awesome Jann." She looked around for a moment before focusing on her arms. The vines sloughed off into piles of dead plant matter. The thorns withered, the toxins weakening until it was nothing more than a colourless liquid. A touch would turn them to a fine crumbling brown powder. Disappointment crossed her mind. Even with her incredible strength a punch to the face could barely stagger most of them, let alone that thing. There was a pause before she looked back up to the victorious Avian once more, though this time with suspicion in her eyes. "....You didn't set up any more giants for us to fight right?"
  13. Rosethorn made a mental note to see the old spirit again after this was done. Books from the library and bits from the internet could not compare to an actual spirit after all. "I'll keep that in mind." She said with a nod to her. Once again, she waited for the Dryad to finish talking and making assumptions. "Like I said before, One thing at a time. I'll try and get you a home somewhere closer to one of the nature preserves so you can...." She trailed off for a moment. The young plant controller suddenly felt like she was missing something from this whole situation. "Wait, what do they say?"
  14. Rosethorn clutched her ears in pain as the monsters roar ripped through the air. Soon it was drowned out by a loud whine of deafening silence. Wincing, she looked at the mismatched monster. She had to remind her self how ridiculous this whole thing was. Not thinking clearly from the pain, Lilly rushed forward and put a lot more force into her punch as her thorn covered fist smashed into the monsters leg. Unfortunately like the few times she tried to hit its smaller brethren, her attack merely bounced off its shin with a weak, amusing squeak. In hindsight, probably not the greatest tactical move.
  15. Rosethorn is gonna try and punch it while her ears are ringing. Shifting damage by 2 and reducing accuracy by 2 The result is a 22. DC27 Toughness Save if it connencts
  16. Lilly attepts to make the save.... ....Aaand she fails at 12
  17. Rosethorn staggered back, mind racing as she desperately tried to regain some sense of balance and composure. "OK. That was a first." The chill in the air helped get her back to her senses. The light-headed sensation from her first out of body experience started to fade. She could focus once more on the Dryad. "Yeah, I sort of know the place. Wharton State Forest." Eyebrows furrowed, trying to pry what she could remember about the place. "I don't know for certain but I'm pretty sure no one is allowed to cut down trees there." Honestly a guess on her part but she was pretty sure the place was home to several nature preserves. To the best of her knowledge there were laws involved in cutting trees down in such places.
  18. And just like that Lilly tensed up, jaw dropping from that loud, all too familiar sound. For a moment i looked like the vines on her arms were starting to turn yellow, but now they were bright green once more and ready to bring pain.Really doing this after all. She looked back over an Jahn for a second. "Uh, Jahn? Didn't you say you did not put in Godzilla?" It took a bit of effort not to start yelling at the Avian. "I haven't fought anything bigger than a rubber duck wolf, let alone something that big."
  19. Rosethorn could finally start to relax. As far as she could tell, anyone that could squeak like a cheap chew toy was either knocked out or tangled in enough plant matter they could not hope to escape. "Yeah, You too as well guys." She said, massaging the side of her neck and feeling an earlier blow to her back. It would heal up in a while, faster if she had the sun. Still weird I actually need that thing. Its going to be murder on my skin. She surveyed the scene one more time. She did not want anything else jumping out at her. "You do know we were joking about the enemy selection right?" She asked.
  20. "...Or not." During the chaos, Rosethorn had missed the last 3 wolves standing. She could have sworn she had immobilised the rest in vines. But in the end it did not matter. Lilly rushed forward and landed a punch right in the face of one of the last wolves. Instead of not doing anything, it went flying in the air before tumbling into a heap on the ground. It did not seem to move, save for a long deflated squeak. The blow completely knocked the thing though. "You got the last one John?" She asked, looking over her shoulder.
  21. Lilly is once again gonna try for a punch Roll comes out to a 21
  22. "I...Was not aware you brought friends with you." Rosethorn said, nervously eyeing the growing number of dryads appearing from the treeline. Suddenly her job seemed a lot more complicated that it first appeared. "I think we'll try to deal with things one at a time." She told the young dryad, trying not to suddenly feel overwhelmed in this situation. "First is to figure out where you are from first. I need an idea of what I'm doing first."
  23. Rosethorn was slowly backing away from the wolves, no longer feeling confident in attacking them directly since that seemed not work on them thus far. She stopped the moment John and Jann swooped down and started to lay into them. She nodded to John before focusing. Then she stomped her foot on the ground, forcing a fresh set of vines and venus fly traps out of the ground and onto the lone two wolves that remained. They quickly found themselves being hoisted from the ground and left at the mercy of Lilly's carnivorous plants. "I think that might be the last of them." She said, looking around at the array of twisted abominations against nature they had created for training.
  24. Rosethorn once again resorts to just Snaring anyone thats made of rubber. So another DC 20 Reflex save for anyone not friendly
  25. Rosethorn smiled. Everything seemed to be going their way now. Then came the flurry of blows from the only wolves free from her botanical attack, with one of them come down on her back. It barely left even a mark on her, thanks to her altered physiology. Scowling, she stood back up, leading in with a upper cut to the wolf that attacked her. The attack did not seem to have much off an effect however as its head just snapped back into place along with another squeak to go with the canopy of sounds. Rosethorn just stood there awkwardly for a second, eyeing the other wolves that surrounded her. "uh...Guys? Bit of help please?"
