  1. GM A Tuesday afternoon in early February, 2021 Claremont Academy "I don't know why I gotta bring the punk along, sorry about that, Miss Cahill." Travis Armstrong seemed to shift between being in a great mood, and, well, being in a spectacularly bad mood. The good mood seemed to come whenever he looked at Judy, and the bad? Well, he obviously wasn't a fan of one Luke Landers. He was leading Luke and Judy down a hallway in the administrative building. Ashley was there too, of course. Travis Armstrong was not about to take Judy's bodyguard away, especially not now. They stopped inside the room, where a screen was on, showing a group of people somewhere in Southside, holding signs. Some kind of demonstration. The signs were hard to make out, but one in particular was easy to make out, with big black letters on white: "WHERE IS JAYCEE?" "It seems like you've gotten quite a following, Miss Cahill." Luke would recognize the young man holding the sign. His name was Matt Wagner.
  2. @Heritage IC post when you can, please. We'll move on and you can join in when you feel it. @Cubismo Go ahead and post. Unless you say otherwise, I'll assume you burn a HP to get rid of Fatigue.
  3. If you want to split your Move Action before and after a Standard Action (your attack) you need to pick up the Move-By Action feat, otherwise you will have to move (your Move Action) then attack (your Standard Action), then wait till next round to snare. If he is unconscious, he will not get a save and will automatically be snared and stuck on the ceiling, if you throw him up there, but you will either need to Surge to take a second Standard Action in this round (which will leave you fatigued at the beginning of next round unless you spend a Hero Point to get rid of that), or wait until the next round. It would be best to attack in this round, then snare and hide again in the next.
  4. January 2021 Claremont Academy Shortly after Pan dragged Leon away from Judy... "Why exactly are you here?" Pan had finally stopped under a tree, turning to face Leon, his arms crossed over his chest. "What are you trying to do? Be the one that everyone will hate or watch? Do you steal and cheat because you can? Take from whoever you want, just because it is fun?"
  5. "Our roles in the story." Pan seemed quite sure of himself, staring down the man but not leaving Eira's side. "This was meant to be, was it not? We were meant to be here, in this now, to stop this man? Or did you have other roles in mind for us? Anywhere else you think should go? Any other roles we should fill?"
  6. GM "The campus rules forbid me from answering that," Stillwell replied with a quick laugh in his voice. "And that's good. That's a good way of looking at things." While they talked, Jennifer couldn't help but notice a hint of movement above. A slim figure moved across the rooftops of the buildings on campus. It was difficult to make out any colors or exact forms in the darkness, but it looked like a slim woman, who was almost dancing across the rooftops, like she was gliding along. She found her goal, it seemed, slipping into an open window on a building housing scientific research. "I'm sure you'll do just fine, but make sure to finish your studies. Trust me, the real world will teach a lot, but you'll need to figure out the basics first."
  7. As of this post, Justice is currently at DEF+5/TOU-5 Her Evasion 2 is somehow missing from her Enhanced feats list, but its listed under her powers, so let's roll: 18 Really? Gonna reroll that with a HP: 17+10 = 27, pass. Not quite sure about the HP left, btw.
  8. Archer II Like breathing? Figured, a super would make everything sound mundane, even something like being a freaking hivemind. Connor could only shake his head. At least Merge wasn't some holier-than-thou type. Powers or not, this could work. He stayed silent as they moved through the streets, looking around, keeping his eye out for anything that might be interesting and... they ended up at a warehouses. Of course it was abandoned warehouses. "Other you got eyes on anything good? Any vantage points?" Getting up high would be best. Anywhere he could get a good look at what was going on, and keep his distance.
  9. GM Stillwell smiled, nodding at Jennifer. "A bit cheesy, maybe, but there's worse things than cheesy." He paused for a moment while they continued to walk. "You do know that all those CSI shows aren't how it really works, right? I mean, its all very exciting, but that's not quite how everything works." He smiled again and shook his head. "If you knew how many disappointed students I've seen..."
  10. Forever Boy "Take your time, my friend. I have some things to take care of." Pan turned his gaze to Leon. His eyes like steel, he waited until Judy had left, then moved quickly towards the young man, gliding across the ground with his feet just an inch above, he stopped right in front of Leon and crossed his arms. "You and I... We will have words. But not here. Follow." There was little debate in his voice. Things would be as he said they would be, whether Leon wanted it or not.
  11. "Well, we all know that Ashley is great at keeping an eye on children, is she not?" Pan looked over at their older companion, a very hopeful expression in his eyes as he rocked back and forth on his feet. "After all, we have to keep the children safe, yes? And the rest of us can obviously keep them safe outside the shell while you keep the safe inside?"
  12. That's a hit, but there's a 50% miss chance cus of the Obscure effect. Miss on an 11+: 13 Give me an IC, then I'll follow up.
  13. GM FCU Campus 3PM, January 6th, 2021 It had been a normal day for Jennifer. Which meant classes. Lots of classes. While leaving the final class of the day, she had been joined by the professor, one Martin Stillwell. He was a relatively new teacher at the campus, having taken over Jennifer's Computer Forensics class just a few months ago. He was somewhere in the early thirties, with short black hair. He was supposed to be something of a genius in his field. He pocketed his small round glasses as they left the building, heading out into the campus proper. The afternoon sky was starting to grow darker, with grey clouds hanging overhead. The forecast had the possibility of snow, but nothing so far. Stillwell was silent for a short while as they headed in the same direction, before finally speaking. "So, what do you want to do after your studies are finished? Any specific field you're hoping to enter?"
  14. Nevermore II "I got him!" Quickly aiming his gauntlet to the skylight, Charlie sent a grappling line up towards the window. With a quick tug, he let himself be pulled up towards it, quickly rising. Ravenrang in hand, he leapt up, stanced himself and... Nothing. He turned, looked around just to be sure, but nothing. They were just gone. He reached for his cowl, sending a quick message to the others. "Roof's clear. Whoeever did that to Bowman is gone." So, what now?
  15. GM Usher moved back further, towards the wall. He smiled, made a quick bow. "A broken bow will have to do, I think." He pointed at the Raven. "Don't worry, little bird. We will find you again." Putting his hands out to the side, he moved back towards the wall, eventually passing through it, as if it wasn't there at all.
  16. The Spooky Guy fades through the wall of the building, leaving no one around where you can see their action. Nevermore: Free Action: Shift City Movement Array to the grappling gun. Move Action: Swing up through the window and throwing a Ravenrang. Where he finds nothing. Unless any of you have some actions you would like to do to give chase to the Spooky Guy, we're out of combat. Post as you'd like.
  17. Justice Salvo's patience ran out before Robin could attempt anything, and well... yeah, sometimes you just had to smash something when dealing with magic. She'd remember that. It felt weird. She wasn't magic. Not like the rest here, but she still felt it, tugging on her armor, on the amulet, on her source of power... what would she even be without it, anyway? What could she do here if someting pulled it away? The thing was weird. It was uncanny, it simply looked wrong. It wasn't an illusion, right? It couldn't be an illusion too, right? She couldn't take the chance.
  18. "No, that is not quite right," Pan added to Ashley, as he looked up. "There is trouble coming. They are telling everyone to get ready. But is it trouble from the outside, or from us? Has our friend betrayed his word, perhaps?" He looked to the children, then to Danica. "I do not think I want to stay in this place any longer, but we cannot leave children on their own to be hurt. How many can you carry in your shell?"
  19. He's hurt and unconscious, but stable. He's gonna feel it in the morning, at least. You can't see anyone up there! Give me an IC.
  20. GM In front of the Emerald Tower, Protectron led a group of replicated heroes against the White Rabbit's party guests, the people that had fallen under his thrall. Their numbers were great, they were innocents caught in all of this. His mission was simple: Create a distraction to allow Emerald Spider and Justice to stop the signal and free the city. Inside Emerald Tower, Emerald Spider and Justice exited the closet, coming into a long hallway. Nothing out of the ordinary, but they were just a few floors above the 66th, and the source of the signal.
  21. Justice Init: 11 Party guests: 5 As usual, I can't roll anything high for Justice's initiative rolls. 24 - Emerald Spider - 1HP - Unharmed 17 - Protectron - 2HP - Injury (x1) 11 - Justice - 4HP - Unharmed @Tiffany Korta: You're up after I do a GM post to set up the scene.
  22. Forever Boy "At least Judy seems to like dorks, do she not?" Pan offered to Micah, his grin twisting slightly to the side as he looked after Judy and Ashley while they left, and then Leon of all people bumped into them and was on his merry way and... No. No, that was not how the story went. No need for more adversity for Judy today, no. "One moment," he excused himself from Micah, holding up a finger, and then moved away. A quick slip back, reaching for the book. Leon was not bad, by any means, but Pan was simply better. Within a second, the book was in his hand, with Pan moving back to Micah, quickly handing him the book. "Judy dropped her book. You should take it to her." If Leon noticed, he would shoot a grin back at him, though the look in his eyes were anything but jovial.
  23. Damn straight ? Skill Mastery Notice for a total 25 to beat that, then. And Skill Mastery Sleight of Hand for a total of 30 to get the book back ?
