  1. Starhawk Power Level: 10/11 (162/165PP) Trade-Offs: 0 Attack / 0 Damage, +3 Defense / -3 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 3 In Brief: Starhawk is a Immortal Archetech test pilot by day, and a hard-hitting superheroine by night! Residence: Freedom City, Riverside Neighborhood Base of Operations: Archetech Aerospoace Research Catchphrase: "Commence Sortie!" Alternate Identity: Identity: Secret - Naomi Baines Birthplace: Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom Occupation: Test Pilot Affiliations: Archetech Family: Da'lith (aka Setsuna, Mother) 134 years old, Derek (Father) Deceased Description: Age: 24 (DoB: 8th January, 1991) Apparent Age: 18 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'6" Weight: 150 Eyes: Green Hair: Blonde Starhawk would seem like your average young adult, nothing of real note in terms of appearance other than the scar over her left eye and her elf-like ears. A sign of her genetic lineage with the Ga'Hai Power Descriptions: Her primary power is her ability to regenerate from damage at a heightened rate, even from the dead. As well she can concentrate psychic force into her punches and kicks to cause greater damage against an opponent. As a Archetech Test Pilot, she also has access to a highly advanced flight suit, and a prototype flight pack. History: Naomi was a girl who was always fascinated with flying. It was her distraction while living with her aunt after her parents died in a car accident when she was very young. She focused on qualifying to be a military aviator, but due to anti-depressants she was on most of her childhood, she was disqualified from enlistment. So, she did the next best thing. She got a high-grade pilot's licence, then got an advanced parachutist certification, and started being a aerobatic pilot, eventually getting picked for being a racing pilot. She did great, but after one malfunction that caused her to bail out, but not before risking herself to get the plane away from spectators that she got the attention of Archetech's test pilot program. Her educational needs in being prepared to fly military-grade jets were payed for, and she took to her lessens with gusto, eventually getting to fly the best that Archetech had to offer. After some sabotage to her ejection seat and engines by SHADOW agents on a jet she was testing a new high-efficiency engine on, she ended up dead. Or at least that was what should have happened. Instead her life became far, far more complex. She woke up in the water, and cut away from her tangled mess of a parachute that was keeping her stuck to the bay floor like some macabre balloon due to her life preserver. Then she had to figure a way back to shore. All the while wondering how she survived. When she makes it back many interesting incidents happen near the hangars for Archetech's Aviation Division. After the crisis settled, she had time to realize what happened. She discovered she didn't look human anymore. Her once brown hair and blue eyes turned into blonde hair, stark green eyes, and pointed elf-like ears. Later she discovered that she had a heightened healing factor, to the point that even fatal damage wasn't an issue. She has a lot of questions about her past, and strangely enough a familiar face delivers the first bit. Her Mother, days later. She tells her that she is one of a handful left of an Alien race called the Ga'Hai, a honorible and just warrior race that would come to the aid of the downtrodden, lost to the galaxy due to the machinations of the Communion, when in a last ditch, thinking they could stop them caused their homeworld's star to go supernova. Sadly the Ga'Hai lost all of their colonies before hand, and only about 200 single-person escape ships escaped into the depths of the galaxy. Naomi's mother made it to Earth. Setsuna revealed in the car accident she felt such sorrow she slipped away into the night from where the car accident occurred to mourn for her husband. She realized how fragile humans were. The news and how it was delivered was such a shock... sticking to what she knew and re-applying herself as a test pilot, Miss America herself had a proposition... a special flight suit and flight pack was hers if she would fight alongside Freedom City's finest in the cause of justice. To Naomi, this was just a new style of test flight. Personality & Motivation: Naomi is a calm customer, always thinking of her options and measuring her risks. She's motivated by trying to develop her changed identity as Naomi, and loves her duties as the superheroine Starhawk. Powers & Tactics: Naomi loves to get up-close and personal then getting away to set up another strike. In an aircraft she will push an aircraft to it's limits in order to take on any aerial foe. Complications: "I remember what happened last time..." : Starhawk learns from her failures, and that tends to have her overcompensate for past errors of judgement. "The Quick and the Dead": Naomi can get on the horns of a dilemma when dealing with operating a vehicle, she wants to push the envelope, but her reservations about doing something that could get her dead can cause her to miss a step if there's innocents involved, even when speed is of the essence. Secret: Starhawk is Naomi Baines, Test Pilot and employ of the Aeronautics division of Archetech. "Call me Keebler again, I dare you." : Naomi is sensitive about her appearance and glad she hides it as Starhawk. 2. >I will be offering Seahawk up for vetting now.
  3. "I'll take care of the casualties if necessary, but I wanna look at that machine. Casey, can you play escort? I could use someone watching my back closely." She said, tying her rain poncho around her waist. "But I think we need to talk to those injured people in the basement first." She said, switching her EM Wand to medical mode, while activating it's light function. "Errant, Vonnie, do a sweep of the building then follow in behind us. Of course if a fight breaks out it should be obvious. My electrical discharges are almost as loud as that lightning." Sakurako bravely goes into the basement first, looking about. She sort of felt like The Doctor, exploring some underground alien facility when she crossed the threshold. She looked back for a moment to make sure Casey was behind her before pressing forward to check on the individuals, before checking on that machine...
  4. ok will make my post a little later then. Okay I'm in. Someone has to go in first.
  5. Okay, should I get some rolls out of the way when I'm down there?
  6. Question: Can I access where the people are, and is it dark? I know that thing that flew over us is a big hairy deal, but the people inside may need medical attention, and that machine in there may be of interest.
  7. Time for the count for January. A very slow month for Endeavor, but February might heat up with Seahawk entering play. That and my first GM posts next month will add more to what I'm doing. For threads that have continued from a previous month, the links are to the first post of the new month. ENDEAVOR - Forecasted post count: 1 Vignette and 22 posts! >Vignette: DEADLIEST CATCH >Got this on Anti-Lock (2) >Justice like Lightning (4) >New Addition (4) >Birth Trauma (Completed) (12)
  8. I'm still letting this percolate, but I'm predicting a start date of February 9th. I need time to prep.
  9. From what it looks like we're waiting on the GM.
  10. I thought if I want to see Claremont characters getting some action, I should step up! The story is Sakurako discovers an odd hack that happened to Claremont databases, and she has a IP address, one that points to a location off the coast of Freedom City in the Atlantic Ocean. She'd go, but she's assisting in the digital defence of Claremont's servers, and she needs a couple enterprising Academy students to head out to investigate. So, What I need is up to 5 teenagers with attitudes! Who's game for "Technical Issues"?
  11. Re: Skill Mastery, Concentration is explicitly called out as a skill that cannot be used with Skill Mastery. With that in mind, you have two more skills to choose for that feat. Skills that have SM should have it called out in the Skills section of the sheet. Two Skills? For one the concentration was a error. The Skills should be Pilot, Drive, Stealth, and Notice. I don't think Security Clearance to Archetech is a big enough deal to warrant a use of the Benefit feat, but that can be debated by others. I thought it would be important enough to warrant. I am willing for debate. How do the G-Compensation on the suit and the G-Leggings interact with each other? The first gives Adaptation to what I'm assuming is High Gravity environments, but the other gives outright Immunity to 'high-gee maneuvers' (however that works out in game). It seems like this is an unnecessary overlap. The G-compensation suit allows me to do things like move my arms and what not while making extreme maneuvers (Hence having an environmental adaptation which doesn't provide immunity, but cancels penalties), while the g-leggings prevent me from blacking out due to wild swings of g-forces (Giving me an immunity for extreme G maneuvers)... I'm not sure how that would be quantified in the game system, so I did my best to simulate. Her exotic saves are a good deal higher than they really need to be, but that's not a huge issue. Good! It's where I like 'em! And you should call out what her extra Language is, as well as her native language, in the skills section. Native: English, and Welsh. Will call that out.
  12. Regarding attacks, I forgot to add her attack to the listing. One moment and I will get to your other questions.
  13. Okay, open for commentary and what-not. Let's get this going!
  14. "You know... why not both? All I need is a couple large balloons, lots of string and rope, a big enough sheet, and some helium, and I can set up a projector over at the pool. We could just wheel a grill over there. The heat from that and the pool could keep the land lubbers warm." She said with a smile. "Unfortunate all the light pollution has our skies bereft of stars. Such is the curse of progress." She said with a sigh. Looking at her watch, she knew she had time to put her plan into motion. One hour for transit. She could lift the tanks of helium via her EM wand, and there was a party store nearby that sold the latex balloons of the size she needed. The sheet would be the challenge. She needed something 128 inches in dimension to project on minimum that was a white screen. But ideas came to mind. "I could have my end of things set up in a hour and a half. I'll even remember the tikis! Luckily I brought a couple pool toys too. This... will be fun."
  15. Suddenly it dawned on Sakurako. Being high and out in the open was probably a bad idea, considering that someone could be tossing lightning bolts. She gets behind some cover. The buildings of the area around them easily provide a corner to hide behind as she hovered. "Thanks, Errant." She said, before pulling out her EM wand, setting it to it's Electric Discharge Mode. All she needed was for someone to make the call. "Once the fight starts, I'll cover you. Unless you want me to watch our backs." She said, pulling back the hood and closing her helmet, ready for action. "Now hopefully Casey and Vonnie are on Errant's page." She thought.
  16. And you got your post... I do hope my assumptions are correct this helicopter has deployable emergency floats and the pilots themselves got life preservers?
  17. Sakurako knew she needed to act quickly... that Helicopter was armed, and the main means of getting away for the Mercenaries. Who were they even? Who would send a paramilitary force after a common armored truck... it was obvious their goal... No matter, Endeavor wasted no time, Spinning her EMWand in her hand for a second then pressing a button, she darts into the open door of the helicopter. She then grabbed on with her free hand to a handle inside the cabin, and pointed her wand at the cockpit, making a swiping motion which sent the two joysticks of the pilots pointed in a way where the helicopter would head into the water. Shortly. "Okay boys, I don't think you can fight a fundamental force of the universe! Pop your emergency floats and shut your engine off. Now." It was rare to see Sakurako giving orders... She knew the rotors would keep spinning after they shut the engine off if they followed orders, letting it have a controlled water landing. It also looked like this particular model had deployable emergency floats. She also knew they wouldn't have enough time to pull their sidearms if they had any... She wasn't a fan of being this grade of proactive, but things are getting out of hand. She just hopes she doesn't hurt anyone with this stunt. Criminals or not, even these guys deserve their day in court.
  18. Well, there is always the chance encounter fighting a foe if you're grasping at straws. Also there could be a NPC benefactor.
  19. Is there a deadline where I should have Seahawk ready to go here? Am I holding this up?
  20. I hope people aren't waiting on me as I'm not clear as to what to do and if my actions are possible or what rolls are needed.
  21. This is what I'm intending to do. I need input on anything needed from me. Free: Switch to "Magnetic Actuation Mode" (Magnetic Control 7) on my EM Wand, an effective ranged move object of strength 35 Move: Fly into the helicopter through open door Grabbing on something with one hand once inside Standard: Using Magnetic Control, force the control sticks of the pilots to be pushed in a way to force the helicopter away from the bridge into the water.
  22. Sakurako grinned. "I got something more appropriate for days like this." Sakurako said, starting to rummage through her bag. "Yep, still got it. I can switch to my slacks instead of the skirt I normally have with my more... civilian outfit." Then the mention of a heated pool distracted her. "Wait... that outdoor pool is heated?" She said, her eyes lighting up. "Although getting out of that pool on cold days must be very... uncomfortable. I should come up with some sort of deployable shelter for that. Something that can inflate and cover it in times of real cold weather. Would be good practice for me as I do plan on making some sort of space-worthy shelter at some point here." She looked like a bundle of energy. "I soooo got my swimsuit ready to go." "Oh right... any other suggestions?"
