  2. Sheet should be finished, aside from backstory needing to be written out instead of just being in a note form. Any thoughts, anyone want to try to check the math? Bounce Power Level: 10 Effective Power Level: 8 Power Points: 150/150PP Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: No Offensive, Defensive switch between TOU+4/Def-4, TOU+0/Def+0 and TOU-4/Def+4 In Brief: Happy-go-lucky shapeshifter hero! Catchphrase: "Let's Bounce!" Theme: Welcome to the Show - Britt Nicole Alternate Identity: Matilda 'Mattie' Hopper aka Bouncin' Mattie Birthplace: Rumblefall, Kansas Residence: Claremont Academy, Freedom City Base of Operations: Claremont Academy, Freedom City Occupation: Student Affiliations: Claremont Academy Family: Jonathan 'Johnny' Hopper (Father, born 1982), Veronica 'Ronnie' Hopper (Mother, born 1983), Samantha 'Sammie' Hopper (Sister, born 2011), Duke Hopper (Paternal grandfather, born 1945) DESCRIPTION Age: Born May 23rd, 2008 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5’6’’, but variable Weight: 120 lbs., but variable Eyes: Brown, shapeshifted purple when in heroic identity Hair: Black, shapeshifted purple when in heroic identity Mattie is a slim and athletic young woman with short black hair big brown eyes. She usually wears loose clothing in bright colors, preferring shorts and t-shirts. She is almost always smiling and enthusiastic. As Bounce, Mattie generally wears a formfitting purple costume with white details and lines on her sides and chest. Using her shapeshifting abilities, including shifting her eye and hair color to purple, changing her hairstyle and shifting her features enough that no one should be able to recognize her as Mattie. While her costume is usually consistent, it changes along with Mattie and can quickly change in both design and color. HISTORY Grew up in small town where everyone knows everyone, regular happy and well liked girl Small meteors fall on the town, empowers people, Mattie gets her powers and becomes Bouncin' Mattie, keeping the peace Mostly deals with small time things, feuds where someone suddenly finds a meteor and gets powers, then decides to solve a family feud or do something illegal but slightly silly. Everyone knows everyone, so Mattie finds them and stops them. Most serious stuff is out of towners coming in and trying to find the meteors or do other things, only for Mattie to stop them A recurring bad guy tries to steal from the local store, only to be stopped every time, being all chummy with Mattie when he does Callie Summers sends Stormcrow to figure it out, he finds her, offers her a place at Claremont, entire town sees her off She comes to Freedom and Claremont, where it's suggested she doesn't use her name as her super hero name, so she becomes Bounce instead of Bouncin' Mattie. Having a secret identity is very novel and exciting! Got a bit of a big city shock and is bit naive about super heroing, but really wants to do her best PERSONALITY & MOTIVATION Mattie is an enthusiastic and outgoing young woman, who just wants to use her powers and abilities to help others. She is friendly and talkative, and while she genuinely only means well, her constant talking and jokes can be annoying to some. Mattie honestly just wants to be friends with everyone around here. Unused to the city life, both in terms of regular life and super heroics, Mattie can sometimes come off as naive, even if she is a quick learner. She is generally not happy about the greater violence than what she is used to, and meeting more genuinely evil rather than misguided opponents, actual villains, instead of what was mostly just petty squabbles back home in Rumblefall, and she can at times feel overwhelmed by the situations she now faces. Still, she is flexible, and it seems clear that she will adapt, given enough time. A genuine hero at heart, Mattie nonetheless still has a lot to learn. POWERS & TACTICS Mattie's powers appear somewhat cartoony at first, like she has a rubber body that she can shift to anything. She can stretch her body, completely shift it into other forms and configurations, grow wings, become a plane or car, grow claws, turn her hands into drills, grow armor plates, shift her appearance to that of anyone real or imagined, grow additional limbs, put herself back together when hurt, and just about anything else she can think of. Owing to her unique physiology, she is incredible resistant to any kinds of physical damage, and she can easily shift her form to either make herself sturdier or quicker moving, becoming harder to hit. Even Mattie doesn't quite realize the depths and limits of her powers. So far, there is nothing she has tried to do that she haven't been able to do. In combat, Bounce tends to rapidly shift her form, stretching to hit enemies from afar and try to keep everyone that she can safe. She will become whichever form or shape that finds most useful, or just the most fun, for a given situation. COMPLICATIONS Advocating Against the Advocates: One time, a group of bikers rolled into Rumblefall and caused trouble. Their leader had some kind of demonic powers, but Mattie took care of them, saving the day as usual. Too bad that they were part of the Devil's Advocates, and now that Mattie is in Freedom City, the rest of the gang might come looking for her. The GM can award Mattie a Hero Point if they make the Devil's Advocates appear to cause trouble for Mattie, or have their hatred of her escalate a situation. Country Mouse: Mattie's from the small town Rumblefall in Kansas, where she mostly dealt with local super hero stuff, which was rarely anything beyond petty squabbles among the sometimes suddenly empowered townspeople. As such, she can sometimes be overwhelmed by the brutality or sheer evil she might face in Freedom City, giving her pause while she adjusts. If this happens, the GM can, for instance, affect Mattie with the Dazed condition in combat or give her a setback in a social situation and, in turn, give her a Hero Point. Naive: Calling Mattie naive is maybe a bit harsh, but she at least always wants to believe the best about everyone, or at least until she figures out if they are bad guys. The GM can make Mattie automatically fail a Sense Motive check or other social check and be tricked by a bad guy, giving her a Hero Point in return. Rubber Body: Mattie's body is decidedly inhuman, seemingly composed of a sort of rubbery substance. While she appears to have all the organs and bones that one would expect, this seems to be subject to the shape that she chooses for herself. Any medical examinations, even as simple as checking for vitals, can be very difficult, even more so if Mattie is in a non-human shape. The GM can award Mattie a Hero Point if her powers makes it difficult for others to help her with medical issues or other issues related to her body. Secret Identity?: Back in Rumblefall, everyone knows everyone, and there were no need for Mattie to keep a secret identity. Now that she's in Freedom City, that obviously has to change, but despite being told to do so and having her powers that easily lets her hide her identity, Mattie isn't always the best at keeping her secrets. The GM can award Mattie a Hero Point if her actions in fumbling her secret identity worsens a situation. 3. Best way to manage it, I think, it is "psychic" in the same way Mind Blast would do damage but no leave bruises and cuts. So leave it for now. (Although you can use medicine to revive)
  4. The superheated energy weapon sunk into the part of Rock’s shoulder that would have been shaped by a clavicle in a being with a conventional skeleton, immediately liquifying stone and turning moss into acrid smoke. The mercenary glanced at the seemingly grievous wound from the corners of his eyes and let out a gravelly scoff. Rearing back he let loose a haymaker toward the articulated joints of the Hunter’s nearest leg… and nearly tripped over his own feet as he was snagged by the plasma blade still lodged in his shoulder. Flailing to regain his balance, he jerked his arm to try to free himself but with the blade embedded several centimetres into already cooling stone he found himself jerking about in an awkward tug of war.
  5. Minding her own business, Carmen had been inexplicably drawn to the strange sounds coming from the break room of the dorm for the past hour or so, peaking in as it appeared like one was there save for a video game played on an old console. While video games weren't really allowed at the orphanage, plenty of times she had snuck out to play games at the arcade in town, getting in all sorts of practice and ideas for what would become her super heroic fighting style. In fact, she had planned to go with Micheal to an arcade around town, but she had some gymnastic practice on that day. "Huh, that's strange, why is that still..." Carmen would ask before being freaked out beyond a reasonable doubt, looking like a scaredy cat if there was one, jumping up and away. The werecat would be found looking down from a bookcase, hissing before realizing whom it was. They had all suddenly reappeared.
  6. By the way, is Iris unharmed in the real world? Or did her wounds transfer too?
  7. Yesterday
  8. GM The hatch had warped from the impact, stuck, but easily moved by the mighty servo-motors of Predator. On the other side was the captain, holding his guts in with his hand. Predator needed no super senses (although they sure helped) to see that the Captain was bleeding profusely from an impaling injury - a nasty spear of shrapnel in his abdomen. Not the aorta, or major artery, but still something that would be lethal if not stabilised. "Pilots... ok...." he gasped... "checked em..." He collapsed into Predators arms. "What was... that?" he mumbled. "Look... mission comprimised.... go underground... exposed. Get off grid...."
  9. Ok all - approaching the end of the (fun, at least for me) thread! Depending on action we might have a few last sparks of action. (Bdum tish!) @MoonSimplyyou are also up now!
  10. GM General Sparks crashed into the tower with a yell that sounded half grunt of anger, half wail of lamentation. Whatever it was, it was drowned out by the sound of falling masonry. "Nooooooo!" he screamed, as the tower collapsed around him. In honesty, the pummeling at had from top to bottom - bazzooka, super strength, and collision, meant that a dainty feather might have achieved the feat. But it still looked impressive. Like a mighty oak, it creaked, groaned, and then fell to the ground, unleashing a torrent of dust... And then a GLITCH An ERROR message on the screen The fine detail of the world turned to crude pixels. The Ninento 64 beeped And Golden Star and the Twins were back in their dorm, with Carmen Arache (better known as La Puma Negra). And one sparking TV screen, and one sparking (cursed) Ninento 64!
  11. Predator Steam quickly rose around the armored figure as it stood in the center of a small crater of dirt and rocks. All the snow within a meter had already melted and the circle was slowly growing. Snow drifting on the wind evaporated soundlessly under the waves of heat radiating from the exposed cooling coils of the Predator armor. A multitude of tiny ventilation systems thought the suit whirled less and less at nature helped speed the cooling process. “Captain! Are you okay? How are the pilots?” She asked.” Predator stood still as a statue for long moments as Jean ran through the quickest diagnostic scans she could. Numerous servos would need replacing once she got home. She couldn’t be sure the extent of damage to the thrusters without taking them apart. Several primary circuits were burnt out, but the backups were holding. On her screen, the last temperature gauge dipped below the red. With a mechanical whine the cooling coils withdrew again and their hatch closed securely. The suit finally began to move again. Predator approached the plane’s hatch and opened it.
  12. Blackstaff Blackstaff chuckled at Dreamer’s comment. “A kind offer, but I’ll decline.” He gave her a kind smile. “I’ve had a few close calls with kights of the courts, recently. The fae can be rather touchy sometimes.” He joked as the two arrived at his car, an old 4-door from the 90’s. While mostly blue, the front hood was white and one rear door was primer gray. Both hubcaps on one side were missing and the two on the other side didn’t match. He opened the door for Dreamer, offer help if she wanted it. His eyes though, kept scanning for their attacker. Climbing into the driver’s seat he dug out the keys, but then hesitated. His eyes fell on the little clock set into the dashboard. “That, can’t be right.” He half mumbled. Had his magic messed with the clock? Or had… He glanced at Dreamer unsurely, then shook his head. There was no possible way they had really gone back two hours without him noticing that much magical influence… right. He ignored the doubt as he started the car, intent on getting Dreamer to safety.
  13. That will hit She’d have to roll a nat 20 to beat that: 23 …and she rolls a nat 1. lol Sea Devil has successfully grabbed the big ‘Thing’ (tm) What would she like to do with it? You know, other than hug it.
  14. Oh telepathy, someone should remember that they have that! Would my emotional power also pick up mostly the same thing?
  15. Starlight Something was wrong, well everything was wrong what with all these Omegadrone flying around, but things felt off. Maybe it was all the power she was challenging, and apparently, more fighting was coming. Normally she'd wait until they attack, but a freakin' invasion most definitely counted as the worse kind of attack you could get. So charing up her powers again, causing her to glow like a mini star, as she fired off a burst of light energy towards the leading drone. They looked tougher, but her attack seemed to cause some damage, hopefully it would be enough for now.
  16. GM The Dreamer lets out an amused huff at being referred to as a damsel in distress, but does not disagree with the statement. "Perhaps I should dream a suit of armour and lance for my chivalrous protector. Sir Daye has a nice sound to it." Her smile fades a little at the reminder that they might still be pursued, and she follows him quickly. It does not take Blackstaff long to orient himself, being accustomed to the streets of the city. The small room had let out several streets over from where their flight had led them, and it takes nearly ten minutes to reach the car, but the pair are unaccosted during their travel, although many pairs of eyes follow them, many seeming to recognize the 'Christmas Spirit'. Upon arriving at his vehicle, Blackstaff would notice an oddity, his dashboard claiming the time to be nearly two hours earlier than when they had been confronted.
  17. Last week
  18. Timeout Lawrence gave a small smile as Daniel's distraction caused his character to die in the game he was playing. The blond teen then focused back on Iris and Michael. "Yeah, been doing fine, just had a lot on my mind." He responded. "I am doing okay." Lynn responded to Iris, though her expression did not really make it seem she was okay. Unlike Lawrence, Lynn's accent was fully American, with perhaps even a trace of a Jersey accent. At Michael's question about her relation to Lawrence, the blonde girl momentarily froze, a dark expression crossing her face. "Or something probably covers it." Lawerence replied as he gave Lynn a concerned look. Thankfully Sam interjected, taking Lynn’s attention for a moment before she looked back to Michael. "Nice to meet you Michael, Iris." The blonde girl stated as she shook Michael's hand. She then somewhat reluctantly moved over to Sam at the Street Fighter game. "No, not really." The younger girl replied to the question about whether or not she played the game. Lawrence watched her a moment before looking back to Michael and Iris. "It is a bit complicated, but she is, more or less, my half-sister, from another timeline." He stated in a low voice that was not likely to travel far over the noise of the arcade. Over at the Street Fighter game, Lynn gave a resigned sigh and listened as Sam explained and showed her the controls for the game. It was quickly apparent that the blonde girl had very good hand-eye coordination, and incredibly fast reflexes.
  19. "You got it, Bolt." he said, taking a handful of the grenades and being careful in dealing with the board. He definitely needed that since he was still helping Parker, and he was just about out himself, so a chance to 'rest' by just hurling grenades from a hoverboard would be okay. Provided he could manage to stay on the thing. "I'll try to bring it back in one piece. As soon as something shows up spooky, I'll head over right at it. And when you need my help, I'll be right back, don't worry." he nodded firmly. So he was ready if something bad showed up.
  20. I will instead delay until the next GM post so I'm prepared with the hoverboard and grenades!
  21. (Golden Star Post) Almost a kiss. They had gotten so close, and then his book came alive and spewed out a...cartoony Mike Fink. He had no idea what was going on anymore. But he wanted to echo Carmen's own frustrations. "You gotta be kidding me..." he said, keeping a hand on Carmen's hip as he watched the fairy tale heroes appear with loud, annoying antics, then flee into the city. He truly had no idea what was going on, and he just had to stare in confusion and befuddlement as they fled. "What...is...happening." he finally managed to say once all the creatures had dispersed into the city and he finally realized what had just happened while he was staring. Then when the librarian screamed and ran down the stairs, then tripped and fell, he looked at her, then at Carmen. "...I get the feeling we're about to have some homework to do, Carmen." he mumbled to her, before moving towards the collapsed woman. "Are...are you okay?" He asked, walking towards her with another glance at Carmen.
  22. (GM Post) "That's right! Fightin' Mike Fink!" the little bushy bearded man said, cracking his knuckles. "I'm the snapping turtle! Six Foot Three oarsman, and I can out-run, out-hop, out-jump, throw-down, drag-out and lick any man in the country, and that includes you, you little rapscallion." He said, suddenly raising his dukes at Carmen and Michael. Then he grinned. "Alright, we're out of here gang!" he called to the other tiny creatures, and a palmtop John Henry, Mike Fink, and a slightly bigger Paul Bunyan- plus his Babe the Big Blue Ox- quickly fled down the stairs causing havoc, smashing cars and knocking over fire hydrants. They may have been very tiny, but they were clearly pretty strong, maybe as strong as the Claremont students themselves, as they caused havoc. Meanwhile, a librarian looking young woman ran out of the library itself, her dark hair bobbing in a ponytail as she dashed down the stairs holding a strange looking book. She was chasing what appeared to be a cartoon William Tell, who was shooting arrows seemingly at random. "Come baaaaack! Wait! I didn't want this to happen!" The nerd looking girl yelled as she tripped and fell down the stairs with a thud, sending the book flying. But the four cartoony book characters had fled into the city proper
  23. can I throw one at the Time Twister even though it'll bounce off his shield?
  24. Problem is, at the moment there are no real big groups of Communion drones, there are scatted ones here and there, but Lawrence cured the majority of them.
