  1. La Puma Negra "I for one don't want this to happen again. As much as I don't they'd be a threat in the near future, we shouldn't have such a powerful thing in just anybody's hands," Puma says. In truth, she herself had hidden a rather a dangerous item in her own room. One that was a lousy roommate and seemed content to watch streaming shows off of her laptop. It was a strange relationship, and one that she even hid from one's closer to her. Well, until she could get rid of it properly. "Shadow academy now, desgraciados, whoever they are is going to be a problem."
  2. Carmen was there now standing with a Sentinel plush that Micheal had now just one, rooting for him to have to knocked down the milk bottles on the last throw. It was roughly a third of her size and was soft in her hands, holding it up as she really didn't have a place to put it. Sure, she was carrying a small satchel bag with her, but it was far too big for her to put into for convenience. She'd give him a peck on the cheek for that effort, being rather forward with him outside of simply just grabbing to his hand to hold it, offering him a smile as well before being distracted by the sound of her phone's ringtone making a small 16 bit sound of it. Someone had texted her. WILL BE THERE "Patriot wants us to meet her at gate eight," she tells him, "Don't worry too much. I think she will like you."
  3. Ok, in that case Puma will regroup with the rest of them behind the cover of a car.
  4. "Puedo ver en la oscuridad." Carmen was the first one to waltz inside the cave further, as if in a teasing fashion. From her knowledge, she could probably see a snake even if she couldn't, at the least smell whatever it was, unless it didn't have a scent. Possibly, it could even get around her hearing too if she wasn't careful as much as she was now, strolling in, "Get a fire going or something, I'm going exploring," she says while entering inside. Sure, it was technically using her powers, but it wasn't like this sort of thing didn't have an off switch or something of the sort. Just so long as she treated it as normal that is, certainly that was alright, unless this professor wanted her to cut off all ears, nose, and eyes off and out somehow. "Starving too."
  5. Puma moves to try and destroy two more 21. Takedown goes after the other.
  6. La Puma Negra Puma would growl at the man one more time before throwing him aside with a threatening glare, "Go!" she'd speak with gritted teeth. The look of an animal, a mean and nasty one that knew it had prey right in the palm of her hands before throwing the guy away from her. Fighting both her and Rot would be a fouls errand for a guy like this, especially unarmed, Puma glaring at him until he'd leave. "Aliens huh..." Puma spoke as she'd turn to Rot, calming down before slowly creeping her way towards the entrance, keeping out of sight to see what Rot saw and getting a rather strange surprise when Rot closed the door, "Squid faces?"
  7. "Business first, I guess. Not like anyone's going to not know who I am considering I'm... me... but I guess it's all professional and the like," she says as she gets a little closer to him. By the time that he had finished asking her she was already more than halfway done, a rather ravenous carnivore as fitting a werecat would likely be. The free hand trailed unconsciously to grab to his, not seemingly concerned by others seeing. In truth, it was for reassurance in such a crowded place. The news that Patriot would be the one to receive the honor of first pitch had brought in many, not to mention the eyes on both of them that had also been advertised oddly enough. An honor so, even if they were essentially tag along here. She'd smile back to him, "Later you can call me Carmen as much as you want." The whole reason she had given him these tickets was because he liked the Freedom League and aspired to be just like his heroes. It was something that she liked about him, that drive to become something, something that she lacked as she seemed aimless beyond the small goals of getting by each day. Sure, Patriot had offered her a potential position perhaps with the government, but even that was a question of wither she was to even go on to something like that. In a sense, as the more time she spent with him, he was like her rock in some way, breaking the raging waters Carmen's life that dared to drown her and consume her under them. Like that, Carmen finished her hot dog, "I don't know. I don't think I've ever thought about that, someone making a statue of me. Make people think I was dead or something," she says before spotting a large stuffed bear, "Think you can win me one Mr. Varsity?"
  8. La Puma Negra Traditionally speaking, Carmen was averse to crowds, not liking them on the principle that they were always a bit too noisy for her for sensitive and heightened hearing ability. Though, the truth was more that she didn't like the eyes staring at her, the difference that was making as being the strange creature that she was, made worse only by the fact that she was standing alongside Michael in their respective heroic costumes. Carmen gave a look of indifference, remaining stoic as best she could when deep down, she was nothing more than a somewhat terrified kitten with all these people, but she knew she had to be there for Patriot as her protégé of sorts and, she was already in too deep after giving Michael these tickets and she enjoyed watching baseball even back home in Puerto Rico enough. What was watching it her boyfriend going to hurt? Claremont colors were out of the picture for an event like this, donning the black version of her normal unitard like attire rather than the blue and yellow one. As Michael wore his own more formal attire, her own in its simplicity did much the same in contrast to it, "Maybe after," she'd respond to him, thinking what it'd look like if she wore one now. She didn't know any of the teams very well outside of what Michael had told her. There was a sense that she got the picture of what the league was like here in the States. Carmen would take a small bite from her hot dog in the meanwhile, keeping as well relatively close to Michael but not too close. Both seemed to be stuck in the other person's gravity. Fastened to the lagrange points of their orbits, "Code names today..." she spoke swallowing down her bite. As much as she didn't like the two having to do this in costume, she was at least happy she was there with him. "I hope Patriots doing okay."
  9. La Puma Negra La Puma Negra watched as Rot used her powers to contain the rift that was slowly being created by the orb, seeing as the energies coalesced together once more to come back into it. It seemed like the threat of whatever was being summoned was defeated before it could have gone enough and done serious damage to both the world and reality itself. One could breathe easy now, calming the nerves after such an intense and dangerous fight as it was. Puma herself would keep towards Eclipse, not letting her guard down in case she somehow woke up and tried to escape. Not that Puma actually believed it but the last thing she needed was for them to be attacked from behind. "Embuste?" she says, "Lie about it. Split with the orb and leave the crazy girl tied up for the authorities. I could probably see about Patriot getting a hold of this for the Freedom League, keep things all hushed up?" Puma didn't seem too phased, "You destroy that Rot and you might let whatever was trying to break from it out into our world."
  10. La Puma Negra "Snakes, spiders, all sorts of crawly things," Carmen responds in a way meant to tease Bernadette a bit. The young were cat creature had crept her way over towards her, having given up trying to pitch a tent in such windy condition was going nowhere, deciding to put it away to get out of the increasing wind situation. It wasn't that bad for her honestly, making things feel far cooler that the hot and dry conditions there were. Natural insulation from the cold with her fur was always an advantage to be had, but only for some of it and not to any of her compatriots at the least comfort wise. "Has to be something around here," she says, "We can always make a fire with something around here."
  11. Ok then 18 and a 15. I'll spend an HP to reroll the 15 to get a 24 for the toughness rolls.
  12. Would Puma be in melee range still at this time? Would she gain the benefit of Elusive Target?
  13. La Puma Negra Quick reaction time meant that Puma could theoretically assess and act on a current situation fairly quickly. Now, that was in theory, as Carmen wasn't a genius when it came to things at times, simply going by a sort of innate instinct that let her do what she needed to do, much like how it was the sort of instinct to say yes to Michael earlier or finding a child in a burning building. Here it was knowing when to leap and lash out at foes before they could even know what was going on. Puma would be no stranger to aliens and fighting them, this proving no different as she put those instincts to use, pouncing forward like a wild animal and attacking with a clawed kick right in the face of one before diving off to smash a few others with further clawed strikes. With the roar of a predatory cat beast, Puma was ready to show these aliens that their presence wasn't as appreciated by not coming in peace.
  14. 25 rolled for a claw strike. Puma will take off and start punching on goons seeing as to her likely it was time to get involved in lesser inter galactic politics.... beating people up. Aiming it towards one of the tough aliens and whomever is close if successful with her Takedown 2.
  15. La Puma Negra If there was one thing that Rot's powers were, it was definitely destructive as her attack alone left deep scars into the surrounding theater, the rays of destructive energy hurtling towards not only Puma but her compatriots as well. She could sense it before it came towards her however, seeing as how this Eclipse woman was making a big scene out of every attack. It would easily be dodged however, La Puma Negra flipping back in a handspring, completely unharmed by the attack. Agility and speed on display, Puma would continue to move away as the draconic beast would finally fall to the might of a combined effort, with Rot finishing it off. Now all that was left was Eclipse herself and Puma wasn't going to let her stand for much longer either. Torpedo Lass would have the first strike on her, nailing their foe right in the face with a hard hit, "Let me at least cook the appetizer!" she'd respond with a less than witty phrase as she darted past Torpedo straight towards Eclipse, moving like a small blur before standing before the villain and slashing with her claws in a typical acrobatic fashion before then feigning a roundhouse kick only to drop low at the last moment to trip her. This is where Puma like, being right in the fray, skirmishing to and fro, but it was clear someone else wanted to take her down more than she did, and Puma would be more than glad to accept such.
  16. 24 on the roll for the Reflex Save. Evasion 2 means that she takes no Damage instead. 23 with a Claw attack from Puma will redirect her ire to go after Eclipse lady and combo straight off of Torps big attack, dashing towards her. She will then Surge to do a trip attack (if she isn't knocked out), scoring a 22 (26 with Improved Trip). From there, Puma will make if such was successful a 26 with her Dex to finish the trip attempt. HP to cancel fatigue.
  17. La Puma Negra It was well enough time that Puma was given the idea to finally act as her compatriots had as they were brought out to help fight against the Terminus invasion of years past. So be it, as the choice was made that potentially all of this was predestined, there was no escaping whatever future they were already in and there was some solace to her young mind in such. What they did may not even matter at all. What did matter was getting back home regardless and if that meant wrecking whatever these things were, she was going to shred them to pieces, and so, moving with quick movements, followed suit in her compatriots and struck hard and fast, slashing at the same apparent weak point with a furry in a similar vein to El Gato had, taking the throat before jumping off and diving for cover.
  18. 19 For a Claw attack as Thev is letting me take Puma's turn, though delayed. She also has takedown for a 23 DC Tou Save.
  19. Puma will keep close to Michael and wait for the other more experienced heroes to act.
  20. La Puma Negra "I ain't buyin' it," says Puma as she grabs the man by the collar, bearing the fangs her mouth and looking more like some sort of feral monster in the minimal light. With her impressive strength, she was actually holding the man up, growling at him as the other hand bared claws, "Start talking bub or else I'm gonna make you take a few sick days." As they werecat would threaten the man with more harm like his compatriot, she'd motion Rot to go check the room that this apparent guard was gesturing towards. Puma still wasn't sure what this whole situation was about, but she was starting to get a sick feeling in her stomach about it, and it wasn't from being close to Rot, "Preferably now, or I let my friend here talk with you."
  21. 28 After much delay, for an intimidation roll.
  22. La Puma Negra Carmen would nod her head as she watched the scene unfold, Parker catching the football rather well before tossing it back for Michael to catch. Sure, it was sort of cheating with the powers they had, but it was hard not to do so anyway, especially when they could cut loose a bit instead of holding it back. Carmen was more fascinated in the spectacle as she was more at home playing soccer if anything else. Though, she hadn't watched much of it or played it since coming to the States. In fact, when Parker calls to her, she is taken by surprise a bit, "Um sure..." she says before quickly moving in a position to catch the ball. If they were using powers, it was only natural for her to use what she was already gifted with, a quickness beyond the norm, superhuman, to move to catch it.
  23. La Puma Negra Puma was moving fast, her athletic skills on full display as she, and along with several other of her fellow students battled the giant dragon that was slowly being withered away after multiple attacks upon it, not to mention the crazy lady that thought she was some sort of star incarnate. Whatever was powering her however was not good, able to take from the looks of it people's powers, or at the least use them temporarily in order to do battle with them. It was honestly just annoying her more as there was already enough of a mess on their pate to deal with as she followed after Torpedo Lass. A barrage of strikes would come from her, calling out her attack as she struck with a fury. Torpedo Lass had some serious power behind her to, doing great damage to the dragon. Striking in tandem with Torpedo Lass in order to get the most out from their attacks, La Puma Negra would strike with a quick slashing uppercut, "Cause we're putting a hole in your boat!" she'd taunt alongside her fellow heroine. It wasn't the best quip out there, but it was enough to get the point home.
  24. La Puma Negra And so, Carmen began to lead the group like Moses had in the bible. Although Carmen had little to no clue what she was fully doing, unlike Moses, she wouldn't take them anywhere at all close to forty years to get them to where they needed to go. There'd be no wandering the desert here, "Of course, yea of course I am, I can do this all day," Carmen would boast about herself, even if it was very likely untrue that she could do such a thing with any form of skill. All she had was natural talent for things like jungles and forest, not barren hellscapes rock and hot sun that seemed to want to cook her alive. Of course, soon enough she wouldn't be the one to be running the show with Bernadette taking the reins and allowing Carmen to just follow along. Let someone else that seemed to know what they were doing get them to their destination and instead of her. With her hands behind her head, she'd stroll towards the back of the group, keeping up as not to dawdle for too long. She'd occasionally make her way back up, interjecting at times to give a feel that she knew where to sort of go, but it was plain to see that she was coasting off things. It was at their destination that she'd quickly drop her backpack down, heavy and full of everything one would need for such a trip (or think would need in Carmen's case), slowly pitching her tent as the wind began to pick up and the light slowly fading.
