  1. La Puma Negra With accuracy only someone like her could pull off, Puma threw the barrel with her impressive strength, lining up a shot that smashed right into the gunman and promptly knocking him out. It was with good timing too as she believed that anymore time and he'd have shot one of the fellow teens below them. Of course, this would prompt the teens running away when Rot came down to check on them, for once happy that it wasn't her that folk were afraid of. "Now, looks like they're gone now," Puma says before jumping down to the ground floor, hand on her hip as she looked at the knocked-out guard and then to the weird device that had been left on the ground, unsure what it was, "Wonder what's so important about this thing."
  2. 22 For Notice with all Puma's Super Senses.
  3. What skill would be good to see where Neko might be? Notice with Puma's super senses or search?
  4. La Puma Negra "There scent is gone, I can't track them," she says as she sniffs the air. There was nothing to grab on to, not a single thing to work with, much to her annoyance, "Give me a few more minutes and I could have had the rest of em knocked out. No scent though, that's got to be magical. "¡Maldita sea, no puedo trabajar con esto! (Damn it, can't work with this!)" Carmen would then stretch out for a bit, looking for her backpack and putting on her shoulders. It wasn't like changing would matter to much for her at least. There wasn't much hiding exactly what she was for people to see and was now uncaring of what the casual onlooker regularly thought, "Unless what you got is some sort of clue, I can't do anything to find em. Might as well be blind here."
  5. La Puma Negra Like the Human shadow (or close to Human) she was, Carmen would take a step back to watch, keeping an eye on things. As an upperclassman, she felt like it was better to watch and observe than get in the limelight here. This was all a learning experience for the young werecat heroine, and she wanted to learn as much as she could, even if from appearances she seemed to give off an aura that she was rather bored, well, until she saw the chakrams, a throwing weapon of some sort that she had only seen once in a badly dubbed action movie from Hong Kong, or at least she thought such was the case. Carmen was getting ideas for something for her to carry to use in a fight if it came to it again. Something more than just fists and claws.
  6. La Puma Negra "Yea, powers." Carmen gave a thought to wearing some sort of costume just for using her superpowers. For the werecat young woman, there was no sort of off switch, no hiding it, nothing that was specialized to work with what she had outside of Claremont gave her, and that was just something for the looks and not for anything to control or change her look from what she was. Baz was like that, she could relate to that, but Carmen didn't understand the relaxed feel that he seemed to give off about himself outwardly. It was only now that she felt truly happy these days, safe in what she was and in herself, but there was still a sort of thought in the back of her head about it. "Ill check it out. Would love to see the view. It reminds me of Puerto Rico in a way," Carmen says as she moves closer towards Megan, "I'm sorry again about getting you out here. I didn't mean to interrupt anything and get people worried about what's going. Not a fan of being the center of attention. Carmen would then stroll to the side and away from her, towards the high elevation, but not leaving yet, "Can I ask you a favor?"
  7. La Puma Negra Now back down onto the forest floor, Carmen would continue to stretch out, ears perking up at the mention of the many species of birds that were around the island, ¿Tal vez debería comerme un pájaro? (Maybe I should eat a bird)" she says in her native Spanish. It sounded like to her, even Megan must have thought she was planning on eating a bird, even if the thought had never actually crossed Carmen's mind at all, smiling finally as she changed her demeanor just a bit, "It was just a joke." "Anyway, I'm not going into town, they might think I'm sort of were monster or something like that. You won't have to worry about that. See the cliffs? I'm heading up there, want a nice a big look around the island, a nice big view," Carmen says, point up towards higher elevation.
  8. La Puma Negra Carmen didn't move from her spot, tail idly lapping around to and fro in a slow manner as she looked down towards Lawrence's mother. To be fair, she didn't look that old either, Carmen unsure just how old the woman actually was and could have confused her for being a college student or something of the sort. Her own green eyes, cat's eyes, looked into Megan's own, not taking them off of her as she stayed up there. She wasn't smiling, instead looking rather passive, as if somewhat disturbed from a fun time. Carmen had been exploring only a couple of minutes before deciding to lounge on the tree branch, and only a few more before Megan suddenly ran in from out of the blue it felt. It was her property she supposed, one to be protective over. "I take that as a compliment. I do my best not to get caught. Didn't think you'd all have motion sensers and all that, but it makes sense if you're a member of the Freedom League huh?" she says, stretching out before hoping down after hearing Megan out, "I was half expecting the rest of them to have sent someone to find me. Probably though I was eating some bird out here or something like that."
  9. La Puma Negra Puma was prepared to attack the Scorpion themed green girl to take her out since Orion, the orange huntress, had been taken out by Rot's power. Intimidatingly she'd step towards her, smirking as she was prepared to strike out a potentially knockout blow against her. Stalking her in plain sight, like a predatory animal ready to pounce at any second, as if to ready herself to attack. This would be it, ready to finish after fighting and winning a 2 to 1 battle. "Surrender now and I'll be gentle," she says with a threatening glare just before magic swelled in the air all of the Starblights would disappear and Puma, whom was just about to leap into action, instead floundered wide eyed, flopping onto the hard ground that was free of water and struggling exotic fish. As she sat up on her knees, rubbing her head after missing, she'd look around, confused at what had just happened, as if there had been no fight at all. There scent was still there but it had become untraceable. "Where'd they go?"

  11. Carmen had been exploring to her hearts content for at least a couple of minutes now, finding herself on one tree with a particularly long and low hanging branch with a good view, peering out from the growth of the tropical moist forest that surrounded the compound. It was only natural for her as she climbed up the tree after jumping over to it to slowly climb out to it, testing how strong it was and if it could support her own weight. It seemed at the least that it could, slowly laying herself down over it with a restful expression, perfectly balanced as she closed her eyes for a while. There was a sort of calm to it, finding to an extent some peace with herself and what she was. The doubts still lurked in the back of her mind about it however, closing her eyes as if to take a small nap within the surrounding wilderness. That was until she sensed something, hearing some sort of faint sound. Something quick and fast, far fast than she was come right towards where she was. Specifically, below her. Carmen would recognize her soon enough as the speedster hero that ran the Christmas party and on Valentines Day with the Freedom League, Velocity. Carmen didn't believe that she had ever spoken with her at all before, at least from what she could recall. The werecat young woman would turn over to her side, lounging there as she looked below to this new arrival. "Yes, I did. Am I not supposed to?" she says nonchalantly, Carmen not moving from her perch as she seemed rather relaxed up there, "Your Lawrence's mother, right? On the Freedom League?"
  12. La Puma Negra Puma couldn't dodge the strike from the one in green, getting stabbed in the back of the arm after hitting the one known as Orion hard. It was a good hit, but it seemed like the cursed power that coursed through Puma was far more than whatever magic these two girls were powered from, not even flinching after being stabbed by it and outright ignoring the magically infused venom. Instead, her claws slashed through material, shredding this magical unseen armor that Orion had like it was nothing more than butter. "Going somewhere?!" Puma taunts as she strides over quickly without any sort of hesitation, bringing another slashing strike out to attack Orion with. Puma seemed like she was on a rampage essentially, unphased and ignoring or dodging any damage so far dealt to and towards her. She had used Scorpion girl, or whatever she was calling herself like a springboard to then attack Orion.
  13. Ok, so La Puma Negra is going to try and slash at both again with a Split 4/4. If not in range, she will move enough to get in with Orion to hit her only. The roll should be good on a 23.
  14. Carmen was alerted to the explosion a split second before it rattled the windows, echoing down the street from the shockwave. It was loud, real loud, listening to Michael as he repeated the same line again and again as they hugged each other, bouquet between the both of them. Carmen seemed concerned for him, hoping he was alright. She didn't typically do that for people, but Michael was an exception seemingly to her rule. "It'll be alright, don't worry about it. It's all part of what we do now," she says in a calming tone, following in back without a second to the manner and taking off her clothes. Underneath, her heroic attire from Claremont was on, getting used to wearing the sort of specialized clothing whenever she was out and about around the city or visiting somewhere else where she might have to leap into action. One simply got used to such a thing, "Well, let's make this one count."
  15. Carmen was enjoying herself here in this tropical paradise. Once far enough away from the facility, it was just like home, strolling about as she liked. However, for the time being she was simply walking the trail, going out towards the outskirts. With so many sights and smells, Carmen felt like she was back at home. So, when she approached the fence that surrounded the property all around, she simply shrugged. With a large leap, Carmen would quickly make it to the other side without a single issue, the restraints were off now. Soon she was going full speed through the forest without a care, moving like an animal across untrodden land, climbing up tress and jumping from one to another like her namesake would out in the wild. This was her freedom, as if in a natural state of being in mind as went about. There was high places to be, things to see, and she had all the time in the world.
  16. La Puma Negra "Carmen" Carmen would follow Michael to the kitchen, both of them still carrying their bags for the weekend. It was fortunate for Michael that she relatively packed light save for one that he was carrying that carried the bulk of her clothing. All she had was a small bag of what personal beauty products and clothes she carried and books for homework purposes. Of course, them both being super powered with beyond normal human strength meant that such wasn't really a problem for both of them. Sodas and sandwiches weren't what she expected to eat on a tropical private island, but she wasn't complaining. Food was food, and these sandwiches even pre-prepared were good, very good. And so, Carmen enjoyed her lunch with her boyfriend for the first time between the both of them, "Once were done, I'm gonna explore around the island a bit, have a little hike. Should be nice. You don't have to come," she says after finishing her soda. Some sort of weird apple flavored one with a funny name, "I can meet up with you later if you'd like. Go for a swim?"
  17. 23 Passing her toughness save. 27 the Fort. Puma is tough.
  18. La Puma Negra Puma quickly brought her arms up to block the strike that was coming her way. The big girl was aiming right for her with a punch that seemed destined to take off Puma's head right from its shoulders. Sure, she could avoid it, but that would be a heard feat to do this close and personal, as was with her particular fighting style, jumping straight into the melee and ignoring the subtlety of speaking. However, in a flash, Gold Star had gotten in front of her, taking the blow and sending both of them to the next floor down. She'd hop back for a few moments as looked to see if he was okay. Miraculously such was the case. She had planned to hop down to help him against the big bull girl but soon had to dodge out of the way as Orion had recovered and fired an arrow like bolt towards her, her senses hearing it as it sailed through the air. It was almost child' play to dodge out but soon she heard it sailing still, turning her head to see it arcing back. Puma had to deal with her quickly, pouncing forward towards Orion like an animal, feeling the wet ground she moved across. "Call yourself a hunter, prepare to become the hunted!" Puma spoke, moving quickly and dexterously that it was hard to watch her movements. It would pay off as Puma slashed at Orion wickedly across the chest, now right in her foe's face to deal with this ranged threat.
  19. 23 On Puma's Acrobatic Bluff (Feint) against Orion, girl in Orange that shot the arrow at her that missed. Will then spend an HP to Surge and avoid tiring herself, and attack her with a Claw strike of 19. If the Feint worked, it's a Surprise Attack technically.
  20. Sorry Rocket, but Puma isn't specced for Diplomacy XD
  21. Carmen was the opposite of Micheal in being hot, feeling right at home in the tropical island sun. Sure, she was some cat creature, but she was one from Puerto Rico, used to the island and its climate, even if this island was a world away from her homeland. Lawrence's portals had not been the first one that she had gone through, still feeling rather strange after going through one as her heightened senses had to quickly adapt to her new environment. Carrying the few bags that Michael wasn't carrying for her, it would soon subside as she got her bearings again, stepping on the wooden deck and feeling it underneath her feet. She wore no shoes, bare foot already and dressed rather simply with faded and worn jeans, alongside a shirt with the commonwealth flag of Puerto Rico on it. Underneath, she had her bathing suit on, saving it for Michael to see first, smiling happily. It wasn't typical for her to look like this, usually looking rather dour and our neutral, like she didn't belong. Now it was the opposite, happy and content, if not excited, "You wanna get something to eat, we can go to the pool afterwards?" Both Michael and Carmen had only been together since Valentine's Day having barely been able to do any couple related things together outside of seeing a late screened movie that same day. So likely to many around them, the seeming pairing could be rather out of the blue and strange knowing how Carmen was. Had she been replaced by some alien?
  22. Carmen was there near stunned as Michael got out what he wanted to say to her. It had been so long in the waiting for him that she could feel the sudden releasement as it was now her that the pressure was properly on. It showed too, her face turning a shade of red, even though her dark fur on her face obscured it, nervous and internally now panicking. Whatever she had to say, she had to say it fast as Michael was waiting for a response. Carmen could only think to the flowers in front of her and then to the time dancing together with him. "I umm.... well.... I...." now her words were clustered and futtered together, even falling back briefly into Spanish, muttering it under her breath as she tried to find a correct response to him. It was so sudden that she found the flowers in her hands, holding on to the bouquet. "Yes... let's do it," Carmen says finally letting it out. He had his answer, "Let's go out, together."
  23. To say things were busy in the winter months was anything but an exaggeration for the young heroine known as La Puma Negra, or Carmen to those that knew her personally. She had been attending Claremont for some time now, a school specialized in super powered teens like herself, helped by a grant and support from her home in Puerto Rico. Sure, it was a Catholic orphanage, but it was a home nonetheless, one that she still found to have fond memories of. Life in America and Freedom City itself was different and far more difficult than she had thought, taking to the role of super heroing fairly easy, but not the more rigorous school life that had pervaded her time at Claremont. As, after all, it was a highly esteemed school, even outside its heroic antics. Near every class there was an honors course and she struggled through much of it. Nothing failed, but she sure wasn't an A+ student either. Things had changed however as Carmen entered the Soda Shop that seemed ripped from some 50s or 60s show. A time machine of a fashion she'd only seen in TV and was the only person sitting seemingly alone towards the corner, sitting on a barstool. Plenty of fellow Claremont students worked there or visited there, including other schools, so Carmen's feline looks weren't as unusual. It was understatement but she wasn't the only hero running around the city that looked a bit odd, only her presence as a sort of loner being her detriment. That hadn't been the case since the Christmas party that she had been invited tom spending time with a certain Sophomore student that was also from the school, spending time with him in an almost refreshing way. However, nothing had come of it so far, only time and time again having to deal with some sort of situation or another. Heck, she was half expecting on this Valentine's Day that something worse would happen then a ruined Aquarium trip as she turned to face him, just as nervous as he was, sitting down on the bar stool. He seemed far more nervous than she was, the scent of some sort of flower in the air, making her partially tremble herself, eyeing something hidden behind his back shortly before meeting his eyes again. "A bus?"
  24. La Puma Negra Puma from the first moment she looked at them knew that they were likely the ones causing the trouble. She was at the least half right as what seemed like an easy de-escalation quickly devolved into a standoff, both sides watching the other as Spaceman is hit back by a blast that brings it all together. Even if he seemed to not want any sort of confrontation between the two groups, it was now far past that, and Puma was more than willing ignore any all subtlety in this circumstance to quickly rush forward like a feral big cat on all fours. Blinding quick she was, able to cover the distance quicky as she jumped forward to a handstand, kicking her clawed feet out to hit the Green and Orange clothed foes. "Well, I'm La Puma Negra, and the only one's being knocked out is you!" she says with a growl, slashing out with a spinning handstand kick between the two of them.
  25. Alright, so La Puma is gonna rush forward right towards Orange and Green attack with her Claw attack, Splitting it 1/1 on both since it has Split. 12 on the roll but I'm gonna HP it and got a 27 which Crits them both.
