  1. La Puma Negra Suddenly they all weren't alone as gunman came into the room, armed and dangerous. It appeared like these kids, Rot and she included, had stumbled upon something far bigger than some near abandoned warehouse. If they didn't act quick those kids were as good as dead. Thinking fast, she tried coming up with a plan to save them, to get that guards attention without getting anyone killed in the process. Sure, Puma could jump down and assault the guy, but if it didn't work, she'd be point blank to a gun she didn't want to get hit by. So, looking at an old stored away barrel beside them, she used her inhuman strength to lift it above her, aiming it towards the guard and throwing it down with all her might, hoping to hit him. It's relatively accurate, hoping to nail him by surprise.
  2. Ranged throw against the guard 19
  3. La Puma Negra By the time Consuelo had looked over towards Carmen, she had already ducked behind a pillar out of view to change, the Aquarium essentially having been cleared out rather quickly and no cameras in sight to see her change at all. Of course, she did wear her heroine outfit under her clothing, but she wasn't stupid. No way that Carmen was going to sacrifice one of her favorite shirts and nicer pair of jeans just to get out and beat on some goons making things terrible for everyone. Of course, especially since she didn't have enough in this month's stipend to purchase a replacement, "They are downstairs, a floor down." Carmen would return in an attire more comfortable to super heroics, a one-piece style swimsuit that was in the school colors of Claremont, wearing nothing really else for her more athletic and gymnastic style, "Of course I do, but I'm not shredding my good clothes," she says, tossing her backpack towards the same corner Michael was changing. Things were serious now and she wasn't going to wait any longer. The longer the wait the longer she heard that poor whale's cry, "Besides, I got enough self-respect to not just run around in my underwear for the time being." La Puma Negra it was now, moved towards the balcony quickly with the agility and gracefulness of her namesake. As the upperclassman, Puma was taking point in this situation, swinging down to the next level, Puma would be facing now those below talking below her.
  4. La Puma Negra While it was that math was a terrible class for her, barely able to keep the grade, writing was far easier, even with English not being her first language, weaving through the classes related to the field with ease. In fact, it was the only A that she had on her current midterm grade report outside of more athletically in tuned activities and classes. This was different of course, extra credit for a class that she already liked to be in that served no issue for her. Honestly, she just wouldn't an excuse to get off the campus grounds, since she lived on the premises. The other was hanging around with Michael, which seemed for someone known as being rather an independent loner, relatively off. Although, she still wasn't at times the most pleasant, rough around the edges. Her head snapped to attention away from the otters before even the intercom went off, "Trouble!"
  5. La Puma Negra "You think it's nice..." Carmen would trail off as they both danced. It seemed rather awhile that they were dancing, losing track of time as they went through different songs. Carmen was completely relaxed as it was, not feeling any sort of discomfort from dancing so long. One can only assume that it was the superhuman part of whom or whatever they were that allowed them to get past the endurance test on the dance floor here. She could feel her feet leave the ground for a few moments, thinking he was picking her when they were actually both flying. Carmen didn't feel like he was going to drop her though, his firm grip upon her, wrapped up in his arms. Almost peaceful and sincere. "I try to, keep care of it... "
  6. La Puma Negra Muscles twisted and turned, flexing as she let out a punch that struck the sandbag hard and quick as she stopped the prep and soon went into a strong attack, using a decent fraction of her superhuman power. Sure, she did a lot of her attacks with her claws, but there was a power behind it that could easily beat out even Olympian's if she really learned how to use it all. Wither it was some sort of curse or genetic, this inhuman strength was held back still, striking the bag hard but far away from being able to destroy it, though did leave a decent mark on it, "And I've seen you in action, you're far more stronger than I am," she says, remembering the battle they were involved in during their encounter with the strange and malicious Quirk. It would soon be her turn to watch him, his body on her mind as she watched him strike the bag, soon pulled out of it as she looked to a now destroyed sandbag. Conseulo's power was something different from just brute strength and agility, something different altogether. That was their power, one of destruction turned to towards the greater good of all. Torpedo Lass seemed to follow suit, damaging her's.
  7. La Puma Negra The young cat woman, or cat girl, she wasn't sure herself when it came to it (though she thought Neko was definitely the later, but didn't know why), continued to practice before being called to watch Crimson Tiger, the seasoned professional hero and former student punch the sandbag with such power and precision, it sure was rather amazing. The skill that Crimson Tiger possessed was far more than any of them could image them doing at this moment in their lives. Not that she couldn't do it with practice as she moved over to where Micheal was, "Sure," she spoke somewhat unsure. "No, I think it's more like this," she says, keeping her eyes always partially away from his. She was still a little balling her hand in a fist correctly from experience, punching the bag the same as he did, with hand balled into a more proper fist. Her hips would move with it, putting some force into the blow. Just as he did, Carmen had superstrength as well, holding back the best she could.
  8. La Puma Negra Carmen looked at the C on her last piece of Statistics class homework. Unlike the calculus that practice that was being offered for this supposed study group, this was more down to Earth. The young heroine's school advisor, having looked over her grades last year recommended this course, instead of pushing her towards the more complex pre-calculus and trigonometry courses that some of her fellow student heroes were taking. The rest of her grades were far more average if not okay, average marks in most things with an A in English class and Bs in others. It was the near borderline C that was the worry, one that was perilous towards earning a dreaded D. Math was just not her strong suit it appeared. So, when offered a chance to practice with a group of people, fellow students, in something she could accel at, she immediately and rather literally leapt right into it, donning the more athletic gymnast version of her Claremont heroine attire, standing with the other students in tow, giving a soft smile towards Michael and a nod towards Rot. Crimson Tiger was a hero that she had taken to research after the Christmas party and was rather inspired no less to learn better in her martial skills. Her punch was a bit more refined, though it was obvious she was used to slashing then punching outright, the fist moving with a tad downward arc.
  9. La Puma Negra With a speed that was utterly unable to be replicated by a normal being, Puma had rushed towards Neko like her namesake would. Maybe Quirk could be useful, letting her go wild on someone that at she believed wasn't real, a fake version that allowed her to go all out a bit more, not that she was changing too much up from her usual tactics, but she didn't have to hold herself back as much. Memory served that Neko's power was illusionary based, but could be all too real, so getting directly in her face with attacks would be the correct thing to do at least in her opinion as she jumped up at the last second of her movement, footwork that looked almost dancer like before coming down with a slashing claw strike.
  10. Alright, so Puma is going to rush forward towards Neko, as that appears to be her foe here and as fast as Puma is she should be able to get there easy and perform an Acrobatic Feint for a 21. I'll then Surge to attack again, spend a Hero Point for the Fatigue and attack with her claws, scoring a 23.
  11. La Puma Negra Most plans didn't make it through first contact with reality, and for both Carmen and Micheal, the two's plans to conquer the social and chair scene didn't pan out, and Carmen could tell from the awkwardness of their dance they weren't going to get any awards from it either. Instead, it was just living in the moment, Carmen letting him take the lead in this as she tried her best to follow his movements through any dance. Carmen's body would go from initially tense and uncharacteristically off balance to a sort of control that had her moving with Michael throughout the music played. There was a relaxed feeling, moving with each stuff, feeling his warm touch. It was so nice and warm, reassuring even. Her face was already a shade of red if one could see beneath the fur, tail wisping back and forth around.
  12. Carmen looked out into space, absorbed in its vastness for a few brief moments before receding back into her seat and sitting in. Dramamine was there for her, and she eventually went straight into it, relenting into letting herself get a bit of sleep while they traveled. The young heroine had never taken this sort of drug and was somewhat worried about the effects it could have upon her. After all, she was some weird cat creature thing by her own partial admission, not that she liked to say such, but it was true. A quick prayer that they would have a safe journey and she'd take the drug as prescribed. It would knock her completely out, looking like a mess as she eventually slumped in her seat. If it hadn't been for the restraints that she still had on, she'd have fallen out of the seat. In fact, the sleep was rather pleasant, dreaming about defeating some supervillain and being fawned over by the whole city, right before incomprehensible stuff occurred, like turning into a small actual cat or eating nothing but baked beans. Carmen hated backed beans, squirming in her slumber idly. She'd eventually wake up just as they reached the city, wondering what entirely she was looking at, "This place looks like Señora Gustman's room back home," she spoke response, remembering the dated look of the elderly Sister back at the orphanage that seemed utterly ancient.
  13. La Puma Negra Carmen took a deep breath as she held onto Micheal's hand. He'd find it by her side, a blush forming under what would be the black fur, tail going straight as she was for the first time in her young life being asked out to dance with someone. A strange feeling in her stomach, as if she was queasy, and yet she'd endure for now. It was all just in her head after all. Such things would pass. However, it was getting rather difficult as due to the fact that as much as she wanted to just leave when things got like this, she couldn't unable to find her will to make him let go of her hand, and so followed him, even briefly when they Spaceman, or Parker as slowly got out the idea of their super alias's out of their heads took Vicki away to dance, leaving just them as they hit the dance floor along with the other guests dancing. "It's... it's okay Micheal... you can call me just Carmen," she spoke for the first time after agreeing to dance with him, some of her courage coming back to her, getting her bearings. He'd see that she had been looking down towards her shoes before then, only now looking forward towards him with a smile, "I don't really know how to either." How Puma was positioned, she couldn't see whom had entered causing a small commotion, not that she could even concentrate to begin with at this point in time.
  14. La Puma Negra Carmen's teeth were gritted. She knew that this was some sort of fake reality created by Quirk to test them or for his own twisted amusement, but she wasn't going to just not defend herself here, especially when the facsimile of her mentor had just taken a pot shot at Lady Liberty. Although could she even call this twisted version of Lady Liberty or any of these facsimile's real? Carmen wasn't sure about her own mentors politics let alone her own, so everything already felt off from the start, leaving her to just playing along as her shined in the light, coming out as she got ready to fight. "I hope your fans don't mind me cutting into your image," Carmen spoke as her body positioned itself on reflex like it was ready to move, and fast as well, eyes trained right at Neko. She was sorry she had to do it regardless. For all her feline dislike of Neko, she didn't want to fight her, regardless of the reason, "Because if you don't surrender right now your followers better get used to it when I'm done."
  15. La Puma Negra Carmen spoke a little nervously. She may have had this angry and scary demeanor when it came to life at the school, but here in a large social gathering she was sort caught off guard, out of her own territory so to speak for the feline heroine and made rather more like a kitten than some sort of big cat on the prowl, "It's fine.... umm... dance?" she says with a little surprise. Carmen had never been asked to ever dance before with someone, mind racing to come up with an answer as she summoned up some of the will of what to say next. This was it. The normally rather willful and wild Carmen was being cowed by a simple word, smiling as she got her nerves together, "Yes.... I'd like to dance," she utters before Spaceman stepped in, greeting them. She hadn't spoken with him since the mess with Quirk.
  16. La Puma Negra Carmen snapped out of looking at the business card to look over to Michael, having absently mindedly followed both him and Vicki without even looking towards them. If it wasn't for the fact that she was superhuman with senses to boot, she'd have likely stumbled around the place, not knowing where to go, "Sorry..." says, pocketing the card in her jacket pocket before seeing the unclaimed chairs.
  17. La Puma Negra Carmen would look down at the card handed to her, looking at it quizzically like a cat that was starting at something that had just caught its attention for good or ill. The small card became her focus during the rest of the conversation, having only ever received a business card as it was from two other people before today, and now had received yet another one in her hands. Mostly crisp, only slightly worn from being stowed away in a pocket or so. So enamored by this semi-glossed 80lb car stock that she actually somewhat ignored the smell of the undead revenant and the singing from the onstage performance, only following along with her little group as she read over it. What was she to do after High School? Go home or go to some college? Carmen didn't have the grades to get a full ride and she wasn't sure if she qualified for any other form of scholarship.
  18. Puma kept quiet, watching like a hawk from a far to field mice. There was almost a slight glow to her eyes in the dark, surely just like that of a cat in some way or form. Rot would have likely seen it, glowing faintly in the light, like a natural warning towards evil doers in the darkness... or just a weird oddity that seemed rather cute at times when it wasn't being used to stalk teenagers roughly their age. the only thing that she was really focusing on now was the strange device that was between them all. The young heroine would look to Rot with a confused look, very obviously thinking it over what the two of them were looking at. Some form of gyroscope, that's what she'd tell Rot. "Not sure.... a gyroscope, something to keep things stable. Not sure why here though, what makes it important?" she says quizzically as she continues to watch from there concealed spot. She'd watch the scaffolding fall, ready to move in if the three got hurt, but instead continued to wait. A loud noise like that would likely draw a guard in or two.
  19. Carmen looked towards him holding out the contact information like it was a trophy to be had, or what she really felt like it was, a child showing off to the rest of his class his show and tell item rather proudly. She'd furrow a brow at him and then towards the piece of paper. It would not be the only quasi-business card he would get either, following him around to in what felt more like an exotic hangar on. Carmen had never thought of resumes, or college even as a Junior, but following Michael made her feel like maybe she should start at the least but not now. Puma and Carmen, of whom she treated one in the same with herself, thought of the job she had with Patriot, thinking it her only potential future until this point.
  20. All goodz I'm gonna post soon and then take my break for a day or two
  21. Carmen Carmen smiled, or at the least attempted to smile while standing next to Golden Star as he picked out whom their targets would be. Now, standing before them, Carmen partially regretted it as it turned into a sort of fan meet and greet between him and Geckoman. What she thought would be a tactical strike turned into some sort of weird meeting as she stared off into the distance, seeing the food table but not wanting to go out alone. So close but also so out of reach. Push to come to shove, she didn't actually no whom Geckoman was to begin with, just smiling politely as social awkwardness struck again.
  22. Carmen took a little bit of time to think about this. A little bit was only a few seconds as she moved over towards Golden, staying in tow with him now with a smirk on her face. This could actually start getting to be fun as cat like mischievousness started to appear as she looked towards Golden, "Well, I'm feeling a bit wild tonight. How about you surprise me. I'm sure whomever you pick will be fun," she says, still smirking towards him. Rot would be on her own for the time being now.
