  1. La Puma Negra A voice, a figure, a scent in the air, up upon the stair's railing. Carmen's eyes were drawn to the woman and her distinctive features, as if she was looking in a mirror that she couldn't get away from. It was a trance. It was as if all her current thoughts and energy had been sapped out of her. There was only one sort of thing that was on her mind and yet, as she stood there in a rather aggressive stance from running into the casino, her body was trembling. Clawed fingers twitching as couldn't think forward beyond the point where she was looking at the woman above them on the stair, telling them to take the exit underground. Instead, her mind could only process to that point, hitting the roadblock that was that exact thought. Carmen had run in, scan the area, see the woman, stop. Run in, scan the building with her senses, see the same woman and stopped. It was that same thing again and again and again that it was only her losing her balance that broke her out of this sort of stupor. Carmen's aggression was now gone, tripping partially forward before she caught herself. Replaced with a face that appeared more confused if not terrified.
  2. La Puma Negra Carmen watched as the football flew through the air with a force that could have easily hurt someone that wasn't powered like themselves or at the least someone that couldn't catch it. The young catwoman had been learning more and more about American football, having stop herself in her own mind from confusing what most American's (from what she could tell) knew as soccer with it. For all purposes, it wasn't that hard to differentiate the two, seeing as she was a resident of Puerto Rico and had learned plenty through osmosis. "Wow, that was a nice throw," Carmen spoke, watching as it was flung with a rather nice spiral to it, recalling that he had used to practice a good amount for the sport, "Can he?"
  3. La Puma Negra There was some harmless joy in spooking him a little bit, a side of her that wasn't too usual. Energetic and free, unhindered by the eyes of others, as if alright with herself and now the company that she now currently kept. A new and maybe even improved Carmen for today's world. The young catwoman would smile at the greeting, moving away so she wasn't so uncomfortably close to his face before taking a seat next to him. She seemed to not see the confidence as an issue and was smitten with the bravado, looking out towards the waves that rocked against the beach and its tide, "The island is super nice. A bit of a climb here and there but nice and lush."
  4. La Puma Negra Carmen catches it without any hesitation, as if plucking it out of the air, looking to the small device of plastic and metal, watching the needle point towards the magnetic North. The map, creased and wrinkled slightly, displayed the area and where they needed to go, "Is that it?" she says, looking up to the doctor. Looking around at the mention of landmarks, nothing seemed all that special, or at the least, nothing that seemed besides the rocks like an outright landmark. It was an out of element experience, used to vegetation, vantage points to orient herself than some sort of hot orange colored landscape that was almost surreal to look at "Huh..."
  5. La Puma Negra Eyes's watering, Puma was having a tough time of it as she lifted a beam over a trapped resident. It was the third floor now, gritting her teeth as she lifted it directly off, "Can you walk? Alright, go ahead and go... NOW!!!" Puma let out as she brushed the beam off to the side, having to take a knee for a few moments. Even superhuman endurance couldn't deal with something like smoke inhalation for long, steeling resolve to continue on and press forward. There were paths to be made, people to save. Whatever was happening outside would have to wait for now, only having to hope that Michael was having a better time of things in their current situation. If she wanted to have an actual date with him, she'd have to survive all this, and she wasn't going to give up without a good and proper fight as she shielded her face from rising family. "This floors clear, has to be..." she says before making for the 4th floor. The middle most floor.
  6. La Puma Negra Carmen, for all her time in relatively sunny environments where she grew up, was not used to the pure heavy heat of the environment around her. It turned out even she was not immune to such intense heat that this part of the country could dish out. There was little enthusiasm for the trip, but getting the chance to get out of the city would be far better than staying within the confines of her room when she was getting an excused absence for a few days from school. It was all worth it at least to her, even if she couldn't see Michael for a few days. Carmen had gotten into the habit of seeing him at least once a day unless it was a super busy. This would be a break period of sorts, one that she was getting used to now as she took a deep breathe. "So, you leading us over to there or something?"
  7. It was just as Michael would lean back as a certain cat like face would sneak up behind him, moving quietly as she could, walking silently across the ground. He'd notice her presence soon enough, looking down at him with her face eerily close, "Hi Michael~" Carmen said with a smile, hovering over him. Carmen seemed rather chipper at the moment, a far cry from her usual loner self. The cat woman's journey through the forest surrounding the property and across the island had been a fun one, letting herself be free of restraints for awhile as she traversed through it at her will for a while, "Whatcha doin'."
  8. La Puma Negra As she looked down at the defeated thugs, she felt like she could take on a whole army, obviously not happy with the change of direction that their vacation had ended up. Naturally, this led to her being somewhat caught off guard when a dozen police showed aiming guns not just at the criminals but also at them as well. This was something that Carmen wasn't used to, immediately going out of her feral like state to be replaces with a rather confused look as she calmed down. It was a sort of strange feeling, utter confusion, suddenly realizing what sort of situation she was in right now. This wasn't some false Quirk reality but the real thing. The sights, the smells, nothing felt staged. Carmen was in actual danger. It was fortunate that Neko's illusion and a smoke screen came to be, letting her run off in the direction of this stranger that was helping them escape from the police. Carmen has never been a casino before and now here she was entering one to flee from the police. Not what she thought her vacation would end on.

  10. "I think it was something in school we learned, don't remember off the top of my head. A gyroscope. It measures things, though not sure what?" Puma says as she looks at it inquisitively. The young heroine had wished that she had paid far more attention in school to remember what it could do or why it'd be so important. It stunk that she didn't know really as the class to her was rather boring. If only she had. When more armed men came, Puma quickly went back into the shadows, motioning for Rot to do the same. In the dark and unlit corners of the room, it'd be hard to see Puma as her dark black coat of fur made doing so a rather hard task to spot her. La Puma Negra was excellent in doing such, "Be quiet," she whispers, putting a finger to her lips.
  11. La Puma Negra La Puma was pushing herself hard, having to cover her mouth in certain section to avoid inhaling the smoke. There was enough common sense and school teaching for such a situation to deal with. Of course, it was easier said than done as her eyes were watering, having to rely on hearing to see her way through the building as it was burning down around her. If she wasn't careful, Carmen would have some singed hair to deal with. "This way, follow me!" Carmen shouted out to the people that she had found, helping and lifting up anyone that needed help, "Is there anyone that needs help!?"
  12. La Puma Negra "You all go direct, I'll see if I can cut around, take her out from behind," Puma spoke as they began to enter the theater, immediately going through to a side door instead of through main entrance of the auditorium where Ashley likely was. Puma would shift from being on her two feet to all fours, jumping over silently and quietly through the debris of the theater's offices and back rooms. The young heroine had a mission, and she was going to fulfill it, going on the hunt now as she went right into her instinctual tendencies. It would take her a bit of time to do so as the building was in a relatively bad state of repair, reminding herself of the bad conditions that she had dealt with in an old church that cost her a whole uniform by the end of the evening, having to trash it for another at her own expense. She'd eventually get up above Ashley, or whatever she was calling herself, up on the rafters and looking down to her, "There you are..." she spoke with a whisper, black fur hiding her away in the dark, unseen to her knowledge, watching and waiting for a time to strike. Only her eyes seen through the darkness, just barely. As soon as she was distracted, La Puma Negra would strike.
  13. 37 on the roll for stealth. Puma is gonna break off and try to sneak up on Dragon Star, make her way through the theater without being seen while her compatriots distract if that's ok.
  14. La Puma Negra Growing increasingly upset that her vacation was being ruined, even if it had technically ended already since they were traveling home, Carmen decided that the best medicine was to use the criminals robbing the bank to let out all that pent up anger on them. Without even blinking she had dashed out towards them, aiming for two of them with that were standing rather close to one another. It'd be a massive surprise for the two of them as she dashed right in, smashing one in the face with a fist aimed true and the other getting a kick to the legs to sweep them right off their feet. Another would follow with a knee to the stomach on the standing one. It was the usual with her, incorporating much of the gymnastic skill that she had learned in school. Not that it mattered, as she roared out a bit in anger. "Come on. ¡Vete pa’l cará!"
  15. 29 for the roll, means Puma go likely after Time Out. I'm for whatever ya'll want Puma to do.
  16. La Puma Negra Carmen rolled her eyes at Buzz's show of skill, finding it rather unnecessary as she carried only a backpack and her varsity jacket tied around her waist. As some form of cat creature or werecat. One far older teacher had even called her a werewoman, but didn't understand at all what he meant by that in English. Carmen was surprised that he had even got anything out of it considering what she knew about him and witnessed, adjusting her cream-colored sun hat on her head. The young heroine had chosen to go relatively light. Jean shorts and a yellow T-shirt that she had spare to wear. Having black fur meant that dealing with the head would be a lot hard, making sure that she carried extra water in her backpack she wore. The oddity was the old red tennis shoes she wore, Carmen not liking the rather intense heat that would likely make it hard to walk around, especially in jagged areas of rock baked in the harsh sun's heat. It was far hotter than any day she had dealt with out in the Carribean temperatures of Puerto Rico. "Carmen Arrache," she spoke in a short and prompt manner.
  17. La Puma Negra Carmen was just about to hold on to Michael's hand when they all went through the portal to go home, but suddenly, out of nowhere they were... somewhere. It was all of a sudden and fast, shaking up Carmen's senses but not too much. Whatever it was it didn't take them back to Claremont, Carmen stumbling partially as she realized this. Michael was no longer there next to her, along with any bags that she was holding as well. They were completely missing altogether along with many other fellow students and their belongings. Both of these things combined made her own edge and on guard. Wherever they all were, it was hard to see where any one was, not feeling like any of this was right at all. The big statue of whomever it was, as Carmen only knew it by its appearance, was utterly gone, and the skyline was similar if not different. Many of the more modern buildings were gone, as if they had leaped through time. It wasn't right, it didn't feel right, keeping herself on guard as she readied herself of what would come next. "This isn't good."
  18. La Puma Negra Carmen rolled her eyes at Consuelo. She may be what one could call a friend to her, but it still didn't stop her demeanor at times as she got off the wall, arms still crossed. Sure, she likely shouldn't have struck the first blow in the fight, but she was a person of impulse, "They try to make moves Rot they'll have me to fear. I took two of em on before, I can probably take three of them next," she spoke. It was almost like she was spoiling for a fight against them, like whatever sort of instincts she had telling to her do so. After a going back quickly to change in the restroom, Carmen was dress in the typical attire of her person La Puma Negra, standing ready to enter the portal, "I'll behave this time."
  19. La Puma Negra The smoke was something that was going to be irritating for her as time went on, trying to keep herself as low to ground as she could to avoid breathing it all in. As she explored the first floor, she could easily find the two behind the counter, sliding over it to the other side and seeing them both on the ground. There were only a few things that she could think of at the moment in how to help them, not knowing too much about first aid outside the basics they teach you in school growing up. Instead, she'd go with the first option she had, grabbing both and putting them on her shoulders, using her super strength to do so as she went through the same busted window once more, carrying both of them. Once outside, she'd run a distance away, placing the both of them in a safe place away, quickly calling for bystanders to watch them as she runs back in, looking up again at that stranger. It seemed like the white haired being was speaking with someone now, not feeling like it was going pleasantly as she drove back in, continuing her search through the building. There was no time to confront them right now.
  20. La Puma Negra Puma looked up towards the strange being, confused at what they were doing. Tapered ears and long white hair, unsure of what they were but unable to dwell on it for any longer as the two of them were heading right towards a burning building no doubt filled with people in need of help. Golden Star would get the top to the bottom while she worked her way from the bottom to the top. Sure, it was already affecting her senses, smelling the cruel burning smoke of the building, the chemical reactions of the burning material. "Meet you in the middle, if there is one still!" Puma says to him, giving him a look before dashing in through the nearest opening, "Then we'll deal with the white haired guy."
  21. La Puma Negra Puma was still in her gym clothes after getting off from her session with the gymnastics team. While not the typically sociable type, her time at Claremont had given her more socially available periods of discovery, able to relax her sort of loner persona and get used to the company of many others around her. Certain others had even become friends of a sort such as Consuelo, and others even closer with Michael. However, during a recent visit to the Aquarium this sort of comradery with her fellow students was tested as they faced a group of literal magical girls in a rather rough brawl. Puma, as the upperclassman however, showed what it meant to be one, easily dealing with two of them at the same time without seemingly breaking a sweat, now listening in to one of the very girls that she had fought from before. "It sounds like we need to go straight for the head, take out the source or else we might not be able to stop it, finish it once and for all," she says, leaning back on a wall, arms crossed. She wasn't trusting of any of these so-called Star Blights, keeping herself at the ready.
