  1. Nightscale - 11 2 PP Capers and Casanovas 3 Lessons to Learn 4 Survival Class Silver Lining 1 Think Fast 2 Fire and Bring On 1
  2. Luke witnessed the scene still seething with rage. He had to gather all of his willpower not to jump at Casanova’s throat before the Sebastian could perform his ‘magic’ on those unsuspecting kids. Come on. We need to get him in the act. Come on. He turned briefly to Nevermore. ”Do you know if he needs to talk for his mind thingie to work? Maybe we can like silence him or somethin’... Dunno claw around his throat it works most times...” He suggested in whispers, it was risky though, plus he wasn’t sure that he was gonna be able to keep Shield quiet even if he jumped him… “In the dark? No problem at all man.” He smirked. "Hey guys... Someone has to stop those people and fast!" He pointed at the group of teens. Ready to jump into action.
  3. “Yeah right.” Luke ruffled the hair on the back of his neck, his eyes shifting away from Charlie for a moment. He really hadn’t thought of about it. Besides, he could have easily jumped on the other side already. Whatever… He landed softly on the ground below, his fall broken by the quiet shadow of his wings. He dashed in the dark, trying his best to stay out of sight. For now, at least, it didn’t look like Sebastian or any of his cronies were going after him. The young man clenched his fists as he listened to Shield’s words, any shred of sympathy he might have had for him melting away. He was gonna hurt these people wasn’t him? Frame them for something maybe and then... At least not all of the 'The New Young Freedom' looked like they were into it. Calm down Luke, we need to catch them in the act. He was itching to stamp the smirk off Casanova’s face with his fists. If he acted now, he knew there was a risk that they they would walk scot-free and yet.
  4. It felt… Weird… Scary a bit, his eyes could no longer penetrate the darkness. Just like before... When he was still human. Vulnerable. Exposed. Luke could feel the adrenaline starting to pump in his veins. He wished to have brought a light source with him a match would have sufficed, he searched his pockets, but he knew he got nothing there. Whatever he was not gonna leave Muirne alone. The only way was ahead. Assuming that he could find the where ahead exactly was of course. A voice, whispers in the dark. Help us. “Yeah, not creepy at all dudes…” He remarked sarcastically. At least the sound provided him with something to follow in the inky depts. “Woah.” Suddenly there was light. Enough to dazzle Nightscale in fact, blinded, he stumbled for a few feet, shielding his eyes as they tried desperately to adapt back to the real world. It took him a few moments before he could finally see something more than patches of white. A city! There was something in it, that made the place feel like home a little; yet, he had no idea where he actually was. He could hear the sound of battle though and now he could see the red-haired girl, in full battle attire it seemed, dashing toward it. “Hey.” He shouted this time. The young man didn't wait for Muirne to stop though, he dashed to follow her, muscle tense ready for battle, his senses scanning the area for any sign of immediate danger or unfamiliar scents. “You don’t need to do this alone, you know?” He smiled at her when they finally closed the distance between them. “Do you have any idea what the hell is going on?”
  5. “Cool…” So they were going to face cosmic being who could warp reality as it pleases. Just an itty-bitty step up from the gangsters and mundane criminals that he had confronted during his short heroic career. Well it was bound to happen wasn’t it? Whatever. “Ok, let’s do this.” “Yeah alright guys, we are gonna get through this! And remember you are all awesome.” He shouted toward the group of trapped kids, wondering if they could actually hear him from behind the invisible wall. The young man ruffled the hair on the back of his neck when Spaceman introduced himself. Yep, he really needed to work on his super-heroes 101 didn’t him? “Glad to have you here sir.” He smiled at the more senior hero, teenage bravado or not it was still somewhat reassuring to know that he had someone who had actual experience on his first confrontation with an omnipotent imp. "Ok got it. Play along until we find a way out. Guess it's good luck to you both then." He smiled at Shift and Spaceman. That was gonna be a freakin' adventure wasn't it? He wondered for a moment what Quirk might have meant with 'winner takes all' though, not that he had a way of knowing it of course. “As for what I can do… ” Confidence sparked back into his eyes. Why not right? Besides, there was no way he could show off his true nature to the kids while in a class, here though… Well it seemed that the colored tiles would fit him well enough. He closed his eyes, a burning golden light radiated from his chest, a coat of basalt-like scales melted over his flesh. His mouth soon filled with rows upon rows of fangs, sharp claws adorned his powerful paws as he grew to match his reptilian true form. When the change was over the now sixteen feet tall monster eyes stretched his wings and roared proudly. Ready to confront anything the Imp threw at him. Time for the roll, his now solid gold eyes followed the dice as the kids went for the first move of the game. One. Great! Lucky as usual. Yep, games of chances had never exactly been his forte. “One step at a time…” He muttered between breaths as he got ready for the comically short flight that would lead him to his assigned tile.
  6. Ok, better luck next time I guess, have fun with the thread
  7. mmm a 2 again for a grand total of 6... Luke ain't exactly lucky these days...
  8. Luke got a 2... (link) so 12 in total, mmm... At least he has SM on Notice and he can hear what they said.
  9. hehe I can always use more adventures for Nightscale
  10. Awww come on! Luke massaged his nose after his dash face first into the invisible wall. Not before breaking into a tirade of colorful expletives (many of those definitely not appropriate in front of a crowd of children). He threw a kick against the barrier shortly thereafter, no use, but then again he didn’t expect that anything was going happen this time. I'm so gonna eat him when this wall comes down... “Ok I guess we are gonna have to play.” He slumped his shoulders. “Do you know this guy?” He turned to Spaceman and Shift.
  11. Luke didn’t have a flashy costume, yet, at school, he used Claremont’s uniform, but then again, it wasn’t exactly appropriate for sneaking out and going undercover. So for that night he had simply picked up a black sweatpants and sneakers combo, a hoodie, with no sleeve the hood pulled up, and a bandana to cover his face leaving just his eyes. I definitely need to get something better… He wondered as he joined the group that had gathered close to the South wall, not that he had any idea how though. Perhaps I can ask Charlie or something… It was not like he really needed gadgets or body armor though, yet, it still made him feel like an amateur compared to Miss trust fund there. He didn’t like Olivia’s tone though, she was right maybe, about the whole mind control thing being a security risk, but then again, it wasn’t the guard’s fault. “Come on they are just doing their job… And aren’t supposed to have to guard from students anyway.” The camera being down would make things way easier wouldn’t it? “Guess we have to thank them for it.” He rolled his eyes at Olivia’s words. Then he jumped on top of the south wall. Smirking (although unfortunately that could not be seen under the bandana) from his perch as he playfully gestured the others to keep up.
  12. Luke held Quirk’s gaze, but there was definitely a puzzled look in his eyes. What the hell? “Uh… Ok.” He ruffled the hair on the back of his neck, when his attention suddenly shifted to the newcomer. The guy looked like a real superhero didn’t him? Dices? Colored tiles? That looked complicated and well, a bit boardgamey? Whatever. He could get to the end of the path in no time and be done with it. The ending didn’t look that far. The young man dashed past the border of his tile, or at least, he tried…
  13. “Hey maybe we can interrogate the people that work on the ride." Yeah it made sense right? Even If they didn’t have anything to do with it, for sure they must have noticed that something was going on. The young man nodded as he listened to Pan. Yep, he must not be the only one who thought about changing history right? That was gonna be a mess. They needed to contain like a lot of people and that was assuming that everyone got back to the same time they did instead of being scattered through all of history. “Hey Eira, do you like? I mean register what you see or something?” Or maybe perfectly memorize it? It would make sense right? For a robot not to forget a face. “I mean, we might need to track everyone who got here with us.” Himself could maybe identify a few of their fellow passengers, but that definitely wasn’t enough. He had half an idea to try lure everyone who has been to the Delirium with a fake PA message when the crowd started running away from a… a dude-bro on a flying skateboard. He didn’t seem to be that dangerous, but then again, neither did Luke didn't always look like a 12ft tall lizard so yeah appearances could be deceiving. “Baddest Dude in town? Sorry man. I really have no idea who you are.” Luke gave the newcomer a cocky grin and stepped up to confront him.
  14. That was, a bit too enthusiastic maybe? Maybe even vaguely threatening… Yet, this guy hasn’t done anything that looked too dangerous so far. So sure, ok, let’s play along and see what happens right. “I can agree to that.” He grinned, but found himself lowering his eyes, when he noticed a disapproving glare coming from the actual teacher. Turns out he should have perhaps tried to give a good example, but well… “Woah… How did you? You have freakin’ cool powers you know?” Yeah, teleporting was pretty neat, yet, there was no way that this guy was a normal student wasn’t it? Yep… Luke looked around to see who has actually been teleported around, now he had nothing against having to show off on the field a bit more, but he didn't want to put any of the other kids in danger... “A race? What do have in mind?”
  15. Luke was about to find a way to crash through one of the barriers when the Headmistress appeared, forcing him to stop on his track and give her one of his best ‘I wasn’t going to do anything stupid’ smiles and ruffled the hair on the back of his neck. “What crimes?” Luke grinned at the Headmistress. “But yeah, anything that can help.” Plus his family was waiting for him, he absolutely could not get struck in school the whole night. Although, to be completely honest the idea of some Halloween adventure wasn’t exactly that unwelcome in the teenage boy mind. “Let’s get to it.”
  16. “So we are in the freakin’ past? That’s cool.” Luke grinned, it was also a massive problem, hell yeah, but whatever, he had never traveled through time… “These people though? I mean, now I was like three years old in 2007, not a fashion expert, but they don’t look from the right time either.” Yeah, still no one seemed to notice. “Can you find anythin’ relevant on the internet or something?” He turned to face Eira. “I mean like a big event, someone that a time traveler would like to mess with.” “By the way… Do you guys know, like some lottery number?” He got none that he remembered (obviously), but he did have a few of Super Bowl wins though, maybe he could suggest his family a lucky bet. “I mean my family could certainly use some…” Yeah, although if Back to the Future had taught him anything messing with your own personal timeline wasn’t always that smart. “Sure why not.” He nodded at Leon. Besides, yeah, maybe going back to the school was gonna help, after all assuming it was around already (it must have been right?), how lame would it be for future heroes to go and cry for help from their teacher? Yeah no way.
  17. Nightscale 18 (*2 last month of new player bonus) = 36 3 PP Lesson to Learn - 5 Think Fast - 4 Fire and Bring On 2 Survival Class - Silver Lining 3 The Last House on the Street 2 Capers and Casanovas 2
  18. ‘Way better than the rest of us.’ The sentence did make Luke raise an eyebrow, sure it was meant sarcastically, but still Charlie’s choice of world did give him an idea of what kind of person she was… He could give Arrow the benefit of the doubt, for now, she was Charlie’s friend after all right? Trust fund or not. “Hey.” He saluted her with a nod and a smile. “Yeah that seems like, a bit too much, I mean, even my neighborhood it ain’t that bad…” Well, small-scale crime actually went on pretty much every day, in Southside, but then again, not the kind that would attract a superhero team and actual media attention. “If he is doing that, it’s freaking sick, psycho material if you ask me.” Yep, mind control was already a pretty shitty thing to do in his books, but actually forcing people into crime so that he could look good solving them… That was messed up. “Of course I’m in, when do we kick his ass?” The young man clenched his fists, if it was only his own choice, he would have gone right there, right now. Then again, perhaps it was smarter to play this matter a bit more subtly. “Yeah ok…” Let’s catch him in the act. “Sneaking out can’t be too hard. I’m gonna have to slip into something more comfortable though.” He smirked. It was not as if he had been studying the school security for exactly that purpose himself... Not that all… Obviously… The young man lowered his eyes however when Zach went on with the outcome of his research. Sounds familiar didn’t it? Himself, he used his fists and good old intimidation rather than mind control to get what he wanted, but it wasn’t that different… The young man uneasily shifted the balance on his feet, looking away from the rest of their team. “Yeah power can get to people heads can’t it?” He shrugged, first let’s stop him, then maybe they could see about sharing the lesson that life had taught Luke already. "Yeah plug the hole of course..." He grinned, giving Zach a playful nudge on a shoulder. “Anyway do you guys know any of the others in the team?”
  19. “Yeah… that’s a bit weird…” Luke scratched his chin. “Maybe it’s some kind of 80ies night or somethin?” Could be right? Nostalgia for the eighties was all the rage after all (even his parents looked like they have been affected). That said some of the fashion did seem a bit older. Not that he minded of course, especially given the attire worn by some of the girls in the crowd. Definitely. That said… the change was kinda, well sudden wasn’t it? Unnatural maybe? “Hey…” He objected when Pan magically shifted their clothes (or whatever he had done), definitely not seing the appeal of 80ies hairstyles. Whatever. He was still grinning playfully when he saw what happened with Leon’s attire. “Anyone of you has any idea about what’s going on by the way? Seems pretty innocuous so far, I mean, a part from fashion choices…” He chuckled.
  20. Stealth to make sure that he isn't seen by the teacher (not exactly smart, but well...) Woah I keep rolling 20ies for this random rolls in this thread.... ( 30 total) that makes me a tiny bit worried for when Luke is inevitably gonna have to roll against something actually dangerous ?
  21. Luke always wondered why dragons in myths and tales actually lived in caves, cramped places, which was definitely not a plus when you are a massive lizard, not enough space to stretch your wings or fly (huge disadvantage if you asked him), damp and cold (again lizards…), maybe they needed all that space to store all of their treasures. Yeah would be cool to have one. Whatever it was still better than waiting outside anyway. He was doing his best to help out with setting up camp, with very little experience on the matter, but not lacking in enthusiasm himself when he noticed that something was amiss. Muirne was, gone? What the hell was going on? He could see the path of discarded clothes though, leading into the darkness and that of course got plenty of ground to his teenage imagination about the current situation. More realistically though, she could be in trouble. Now, sure, Mr. Macedon has told them not to go around exploring, but it was not like listening to the teachers had ever been his forte. Quietly, using a moment when most of the others were distracted, he slipped into the dark, threading lightly on his feet, following the path toward the red-haired shadowbinder. Was it her voice he was listening to in the dark. “Hey…” He whispered once he was sure he had finally spotted her.
