“Sunscreen? Never needed it.” There was a cocky grin on his lips. Well… He was used to spend a lot of time outside, but not exactly in the desert though, whatever. “Show off.” He chuckled as he gave Charlie a playful nudge. “Not that there's anything wrong with that.” Yeah, what was the point otherwise right? He smirked. “Yeah, right?” He laughed at Zach’s teasing. At least it looked like he was not the only one who had picked what were pretty much just street clothes for their adventure in the desert (more for a lack of choice to be honest, but whatever). “Hey that’s exactly what I thought… Great minds think alike you know?” Another smirk. “Cool. Macedon. Fine boss.” Luke chuckled. “Makes sense, guess we won’t always have a choice.” He ruffled the hair on the back of his neck. Not that he expected to be chased in the desert anytime soon, but then again… “Strange thing happening at night? Can be cool… what is it about Mr. Macedon?” It did feel like one more reason to stay after dark didn’t it? Now Luke Landers wasn’t exactly the type who volunteered while in class (more like the one who did his best to pretend that he was invisible, given his far from stellar relationship on the matter of academics), but they were not in class that day and well, he had always felt more confident with more practical stuff. “Sure why not. Let me take a look…” It didn't feel so hard, yeah, most of the symbols and lines were easy to read after all. "So where are we going, exactly?"

“Then you have picked up the best teacher.” Luke gave Pol a cocky smirk and a playful nudge on a shoulder. “But I do accept the responsibility.” He chuckled. “I’d say it’s a pretty neat power.” The young man laughed. “Unless… That’s just a secret identity.” He continued playfully. Could be right? Himself, he didn’t use one at school, but he was (sort of) careful in preventing people from discovering his real name. Just in case. “I… yeah… I guess it’s cool.” The young man ruffled the hair on the back of his neck, there was perhaps a hint of guilt in the tone of his voice. Whatever. “Yeah definitely, I loved dragons as a kid.” He laughed again, besides yeah, dragons are cool. “Not sure I’ll be able to demonstrate though, I mean, I don’t wanna demolish the school or anything. I’m a pretty big lizard.” He smirked. “Anyway what are we gonna do exactly?”

Luke nodded. “Yeah works for me… besides If it doesn’t show up I can kinda run faster than a bus anyway.” He gave her a cocky grin, it was true though, he could, but then again, it was not exactly low profile anyway, so yeah, perhaps it would be smarter to just wait. “Hey… thanks for the tour, ok.” He threw her a glance and a friendly smile as he jumped down from the car. “Good night. See you at school.”

“Yeah run away man.” Luke teased as he saw Sebastian vanish through the door of his room. Whatever. “By the way guys? You’re really saying that the school would do something about stuff like that?” There was more than a hint of surprise in his voice. “Mine, well… no one had freaking superpowers of course, but they let a lot of stuff slide and I mean A Lot.” He would have to admit that he had benefitted from that himself, but well, he wasn’t exactly proud of it today. He ruffled the hair on the back of his neck. “That’s cool.” “You have trademarked accessories?” The young man gave Charlie a playful look. “Got to find some for myself.” “Yeah I imagine.” He chuckled when Felix mentioned pranks. With superpowers? Things would definitely get extremely out of hand very soon. Not that he had a problem with that of course. Speaking of which. “Whoa mate.” He grinned as he saw Pol’s demonstration. That definitely is gonna have some intriguing application wouldn’t it?

The young man gave a sigh of relief when he realized that Lulu was indeed getting better. Sure, between the two of them, she was by far the most experienced hero and yet, he still felt the need to keep her safe, somehow. Anyway, whatever it was over now. They just had to track that thing before something irreparable happened. Hopefully they hadn't lost too much time yet. “Don’t worry she had the same effect on me.” Luke chuckled at Miurne’s confusion, sure the situation was tense, but then again… Mind readers right? “Dunno, it’s like, something wrong is gonn-“ Luke knew the scent of blood and that was exactly what he had just caught hanging in the air. “F-“ They were too late weren’t they? “It’s there.” He shouted as he dashed as fast as he could, giving little mind to the irate reaction of the crowd of mall goers as he cut a path toward the source of the scent. Come on! Come on! Come on!

“I thought that in the desert we want to avoid as much sunlight as we can, actually.” There was a smirk on Luke’s lips as he jumped down from the van. Finally by the way, they had to ride like for how many hours? To get to a freaking desert? For survival class? Come on! He stretched his arms, very deliberately before adjusting his backpack on a shoulder. His clothes, a white tank top, gym shorts, worn sneakers and a faded baseball cap, were already beginning to get soaked in sweat. Great “Of course boss.” The smirk was still there, obviously together perhaps with a hint of mockery. Sure the Doc’s old cowboy look kinda gave him an ok vibe in Luke’s books (plus that guy had an eyepatch come on! He must have had some cool story to tell.), yet the sixteen years old wasn’t exactly receptive to the whole, drill sergeant speech. He has had enough of those when he was in Juvie after all. “So what are your orders boss?”

By the way I'm definitely open to other shenanigans if anyone is interested. Maybe Luke can fool around with someone at the school?

mmm looks like the scene had moved past Luke punching Sebastian (or having being controlled) mattering much in the grand scheme of things, so I went for something else. He tried to counter Sebastian's mind control with his emotion control power, not sure if it would have even worked, but the dices dispelled any doubt with an 1+8 = 9 anyway.

“No problem man, if we don’t help each other between dorm mates…” Luke grinned at Zach. “Yeah don’t tell me, I feel like I’m gonna wake up anytime soon.” He chuckled and gave him a playful nudge on a shoulder. Ending up living in a castle? Yeah, that was not something that he had ever considered was gonna happen to him and yet there he was. “Oh definitely they have one of these, besides, what’s the point if you can’t show off a bit.” He chuckled again, he was about to add something, but then something changed. He lost the train of thoughts completely as the idea of actually going out to carry Sebastian’s stuff wormed its way into his mind. No way! Perhaps it was the nice thing to do, but he wasn’t gonna give that guy the satisfaction. It looked like it was affecting Zach though. “Hey what the hell man? You can’t l-“ Then Adam made things clear. Mind control. Diabolical. The douche was actually messing with Zach’s head. “Hey man stop.” He placed one hand firmly on the shoulder of the entranced teenager, confident that his grasp was strong enough to keep him place at least for a short while. “Look, that douche ain’t going to make you his b*tch ok” He spoke confidently as his gaze crossed Zach’s his natural green being replaced for a split the second with solid gold as Luke used a bit of magic of his own to inflame the young man’s pride. Nothing happened though. Crap. Apparently, he wasn’t strong enough to break the spell. Maybe he could try something else. “Whoa.” A raven-rang suddenly embedded itself in the wall behind his back. Cool Luke chuckled before shifting his attention to Charlie and then to the newcomer. “So you must be the dumb muscle right?” Luke smirked as he addressed the tall blonde that had just tanked one of Felix’s fists (in hindsight that meant that antagonizing him wasn’t exactly smart, but whatever). “Makes sense, your friend doesn't look like he has the guts to fight his own fights, if you know what I mean.”

“Yeah, I bet that I wouldn’t have gone far.” Given that he was caught even before he had a chance to try to get in there was little doubt about that. “Definitely.” He smiled. “Not gonna miss this.” He chuckled. “Ok sure. Thanks.” He added, awkward or not there was no need to close the evening on a sour note after all. “Wouldn’t have been easy to explain mom if I ended up scarin’ the whole camp. Again.” He chuckled.

Ok I'm gonna wait for Kaede's reply then I think that Luke will start chasing that thing.

“Oh hey Pol.” Luke grinned as he waved at the shapeshifting robot. “You look great today.” Although there was something slightly unsettling in knowing a pal who could change their appearance like that, but then again, superpowers, he had to grow accustomed to them. “Great Mr- I mean Parker.” He smiled. “And you must be a super too am I right? Got any… ‘Battle name’ or something?” It was cool getting to know all of these heroes, like he did at Claremont, talking with them like they were just ‘people’. “Sure, by the way Parker, what are we supposed to do? I mean, not sure I’m exactly a role model you know?” He chuckled, but then again, yeah he definitely didn’t see himself as such. “As for me, well, why does anyone goes to school right?” Well... Kinda... “I wanna learn how to be a real superhero, that’s all. Keep people safe, I mean my powers, I don’t want to waste them.”

‘Show the kids that you can end up anywhere and be just fine’ Whatever. Luke was sure that it was gonna be fun, besides, it was a day off from the books and that was definitely always a plus. And it was fun discovering new things about the whole superhero world anyway right? The whole child heroes school thing was pretty neat wasn’t it? Would be awesome of Gabbo could fit there too. Yeah right? It was a shame that his little ‘bro didn’t have powers though. A shame if you asked him, he would have loved it here. The young man was wearing Claremont’s uniform that day (with no sleeves though, obviously) a rare occurrence indeed, but then again, he was sorta on school business, right? So yeah it made sense to him. “Hello sir.” Luke grinned. “Luke here.” He offered the guy a firm handshake. “Love the tie by the way.” He teased, a playful smirk on his lips.

Luke furrowed his brows as he listened to Lulu. “Yeah. I guess it would have been a fun parallel world.” There was no need to deny it, mind reader or otherwise, he smiled, but it didn’t fully reach his eyes. “But it’s ok. As I said… Your guy is a lucky one.” “Sure… and no problem I can give my wings another stretch.” Well, he couldn't exactly fly home in front of everyone, but whatever there was no need to make things more awkward between them. “Besides, you did manage to convince me not to sneak in at school. I'd call it a win already. Christ that was a stupid idea, wasn't it?" He chuckled as his gaze met Lulu's. “It’s good night then…”

“A saddle?” Luke chuckled. “That’s really kinky you know.” He teased a playful smile on his lips, well, the best one he could muster given his reptilian features. Speaking of which, it was perhaps time to be back to normal right? Yeah, a lot less awkward that way. He roared again as the same golden light begun burning in his chest, dancing beneath his scales, following his crown of crest as once again his shape twisted back into the one of a sixteen years old boy “That said, yeah it’d probably be safer that way, I mean not everyone one is a freakin’ Targaryen around here.” He continued the conversation as he steadied himself back up on his feet, like if nothing out of the ordinary had just transpired. “I mean, I wouldn’t know exactly where to carry one.”He mused. “Dunno, perhaps some bindings or something…” “Anyway… Did you enjoy the view?”

Luke's will save 27 That said I'm still debating if he should fail instead or just punch Sebastian to break the 'spell' on Zach ? I like the idea of giving him an enemy. Which one would you prefer ppl?

Sure thing, besides I remembered thinking that Luke and Archer would be kinda compatible.

Heya people, anyone up for some action? I feel like Luke, my friendly neighborhood dragon and new Claremonter, could use something more to do, anyone up to get into some shenanigans? Can be superhero stuff (although as I'm pretty new I'm afraid I can't offer to GM yet), or something more light-hearted related to the school, or whatever you have in mind, just give me a call.

“Well if it’s not punching Nazzi I guess we can still have some fun times together.” Luke chucked. “Hey man, no need to change just for me, I’m flattered, but it’s ok, my bet is, around here, we can look whatever you want.” Luke gave Pol a friendly if not perhaps slightly guilty smile. “By the way, you can like, change into whatever you want? That’s awesome.” This time his smile was way more enthusiastic. “Ok… so you guys can’t show us somewhere cool? Come on we are in freaking Hogwarts of freedom city, there must be some right?” This time he turned back to Benny and Felix.

“I think I met someone that can time travel… Kendra I think... She was on a welcoming tour… Maybe we can ask her to bring us on some adventure.” He grinned, that could definitely be fun. Luke waved at Pol, this was the eyeless guy from the tour wasn’t him? “Heya man… So we are in the same dorm this year cool…” He shook his head when he mentioned that he was looking for his roomie.” No idea sorry man.” “By the way don’t think that anyone would mind if they see your true form you know.” He smiled, well maybe… there was a bit of awkwardness when they had met, but then again, he was convinced that none of them should be ashamed of their nature. "It's a pretty cool one, mate." “Definitely not.” He chuckled, when Zach introduced himself. “But we are still all happy to have you here Zach.” Luck closed the distance between them and then gave the newcomer a mix between a handshake and a high-five. “Come on man, let me help you out with those.” He didn’t wait for a reply before taking one of Zach’s bags, his eyes though, drifted toward Sebastian, a smirk on his lips. “Anyway… Dunno about you, but I don’t want to spend my entire first day here just locked in a room, talking… Come on guys what do you think? We go out, shoot some hoops, show off our powers a bit?”

“As you command.” Luke chuckled. He begun to glide down toward the river, in large circles, trying to keep his movements smooth and comfortable enough for his passenger. “You know? This whole flying people around is pretty new for me, sorry if I got carried away…” He felt the impulse to scratch the back of his neck, which of course given the situation was now impossible. It was weird like some of his human habits carried over, even when his form had changed so much. He soared over the river for a few moment, letting the spectacle sink in. “Whohooo….” He half shouted half roared and then headed back to their overlook. Once there, he lowered his neck so that Lulu could more easily ‘dismount’. “There… feeling better?” He smiled. “I bet, my little bro would love this.... if just... well... dunno if it's safe for him to know.”

“Hey…” Luke aknowledged the presence of the newcomer with a nod. “I dunno, she just collapsed…” He admitted. “Maybe some w-” A hint of relief flashed into his eyes as Lulu seemed to recover. Luke offered her an arm so that she could lean on him to stand up. ‘Not even human… Awesome’ “Crap and it’s full of people here.” It will be a mess if a fight broke out at the mall. “We need to find it. And fast. I think I caught his scent before…” He looked upward, very visibly sniffing the air. They needed to catch that thing before it was too late. ‘Come on where are you?’ “Can you walk on your own? Maybe I can get to it.”

Luke chuckled between his fangs. “My queen.” He lowered his neck, so that she could more easily step on his back. “You look great in Dany’s clothes by the way.” He added shortly thereafter. “Hey I’m very selective in who gets to ride me, you know?” He laughed playfully. “Hold tight.” He smirked as he got ready to take the air. God he could remember the amazement of the first time he had tried to fly, it was still there today. Even with his massive frame, the sense of freedom was almost overwhelming, the feeling of the wind darting under his wings a pleasure to behold. The whole world become small beneath them. Bayview and its mansions and villas unfolded below, a loose spiderweb of lights, concrete and trees. He roared again, as he dashed through a tiny cloud. “Where to my queen? I for once, would definitely not mind a swim.” He grinned again.

“Hey. Now don’t get too cocky man.” Luke chuckled as he gave Charlie a playful nudge on a shoulder. He rolled his eyes as Mr. Entitled Rich Douche joined the room. Awesome. And he was gonna stay on their floor too. That would definitely make the year more bearable. He threw a mischievous glance toward Leon. If this guy didn’t deserve to get pranked until graduation no one else did. He clenched his fists though, as the man dismissively asked for them to pick up his stuff. Superpowers or not the world was the same everywhere he went after all. “Look people. Is this guy for real?” He chuckled as he closed the distance between him and Sebastian and gave the well-dressed prick a pat on the back, one that carried more than a hint of his unnatural strength. Not enough to hurt, as well… he was not there yet… But still. “Are you for real? Get your shit yourself mate.” He remarked. He was about to add something, when a giant fellow entered the room. “You for sure are somethin’ man.” He grinned as his attention shifted toward Adam. “Nice to meet you mate, I’m Luke.” He did look at him awkwardly wondering if he should actually offer him a handshake anyway. Felix had, but it seemed a bit weird after he had asked otherwise. Whatever, he ended up extending his hand anyway. "Don't worry man, I'm like strong enough to lift a car, I think I can take an handshake." He chuckled. “Oh you just punched a couple of tanks…” Luke teased as he turned to Felix again. “That’s all?” He grinned playfully. “Come on mate that freakin’ awesome.”
