  1. The shadows that made up Muirne's body writhed in the sunlight, and she started to crawl over the surface of the river as Mette and Klara caught up. Briefly she paused, she had told them, hadn't she? She had tried to send out the message about the magic using Dee's telepathy, did it not work? She had to tell them if they hadn't heard. She gathered herself, skittering back across the surface of the river towards Mette and managed to rasp out, "Magic..." It hurt to force out the words, interacting with the warmth and light. She hated it. She flinched as Mette's hand passed through her shoulder leaving a path of warmth through her, and a handful of shadowy tendrils lashed around.
  2. The Dreamer suppressed a flinch at the gun firing, while the Carnifex snarled in response. She had a brief moment of hesitation as the group fled, having not expected them to run so easily. Quickly recovering and turning to the dream demon. "I want them alive, they need to answer my questions." It grinned and leaped after the group while the griffin took to the air in pursuit. The Dreamer had to admit, they were fast and good at vanishing through hard to fly through alleys, and the gap between them grew. She heard a snarl as the Carnifex dropped from the sky near her, causing the ground to shake, and resolutely urged the Griffin on.
  3. Carnifex's Notice: 1d20+10 = 20
  4. The Carnifex will Intercept. the Dreamer will do the match speed (I think that was it's name) maneuver
  5. The Dreamer and the Carnifex ex Imaginatio will both pursue. The Dreamer using her Dream Steed and the Carnifex running and Leaping. They will take the intercept action.
  6. Name: Muirne Sceadusangere Codename: Shadowborne Year: Sophomore Pronouns: She/Her/Hers Prospective Roommate: Muirne will be staying in Claremont dormitories, no preference on roommates. Goal: Muirne wants to have greater control of her powers by the time she leaves Claremont, and hopes to join Vanguard afterwards. She looks up to the heroes who taught her to live in the modern world and hopes to live up to their example. First Impression: Muirne hopes to make a good first impression on her classmates, planning on dressing well and politely meeting people, but will probably flounder in meeting more eccentric individuals.
  7. It says terrible things that my first reaction upon reading this was "But the Carnifex wasn't lying. Why would she need to roll bluff?" And then I decided not to go any further with that thought. The Dreamer's intimidate: 1d20+4 = 19 (I don't know if she would get any bonuses for the Carnifex threatening finger eating.) The Carnifex's bluff: 1d20 = 7 The Carnifex's bluff (HP): 1d20 = 11 And I just realised that I forgot the +5 modifier, so it's 12 and 16.
  8. Lemme know if you want a second intimidation check.
  9. "I am afraid that I am unconvinced of your ignorance. You either know about the matter, or you know who does." The Dreamer said, steel in her voice, "I can of course provide details to jog your memory. Advay Upal and Yatin Basu were members of the Forest Clan, before Advay killed Yatin. Since then, Advay fled into Sub-Terra and the Rock Clan is searching for him for their own gains." The Dreamer smiled gently, before continuing softly. "To be fair to you, I will answer your questions, the armour is useful, the griffin is a helpful mount, I am not from Freedom." Feel free to say something suitably unpleasant to answer what you are. Glee poured over the mental link from the Carnifex at the open order. "I am the monster who will eat your fingers one joint at a time every time you refuse to provide the information we seek." The griffin sauntered a few steps forward while the dream demon stayed in place. "And I am not afraid of you shooting me."
  10. The Carnifex snarled furiously as the Ultio Users began to retreat, moving to pursue. "I'm not done with you yet. You came here looking for this fight, you don't get to back off just because you're too weak to-" The nightmare cut off as it got jerked back with a gesture from The Dreamer, her mouth set. The dreams around her were divided between accepting the chance to disengage and following the Carnifex's planned continuation of violence. "I am willing to disengage. Thank you for trying to avoid the fight even if it came to nothing, it was good of you to try." She looked back to Ultra Girl, "Would you be willing to leave with me? I want to express my gratitude." The serpent took to the air as she finished saying this hovering as she pulled the Carnifex into the air after her.
  11. Muirne lunged across the room and out the door, shadowy tendrils writhing in the sunlight as she shied from the brightness. She hesitated in the shade of the entrance. Was this entire place magical? Would she lose her powers again if she left this location? She would be helpless if she did and Dougal had managed to reverse her shadow form before, so the magic they are using could probably do it too. She reached for her shadows, feeling the flow of power continuing strong. Could she draw extra to maintain the form if her link was cut? What would that do? It didn't matter. She had to hold onto the power. She reached for the shadows, feeling the power flowing from it suffusing her entire body, and pulled. She drew more power from the Shattenwelt into her, feeling it form into a core inside of her. Feeling secure in her new newly fortified shadow form, she ventured into the sunlight and towards the building where they left Eira, the shadowbeast form writhing in pain as the sunlight seared it.
  12. Okay, Muirne is going to use Extra Effort to gain the power feat Innate on Shadow Form, and then flee. Standard move not all out.
  13. I was waiting for others, but while I'm here, how many rounds would Muirne take to get back to Eira at 50mph?
  14. Diplomacy check for the Dreamer: 1d20+4= 6 (10 if they find her attractive) She switches her summon array to the Carnifex ex Imaginatio. Intimidate check for the Carnifex: 1d20+10= 25
  15. The Dreamer pulled the griffin to a halt in front of the group, armour gleaming in the dim light. "I am seeking information about a naga called Advay Upal. You may know him as the murderer of Yatin Basu. I was told you and your crew would be useful to speak to. I am willing to compensate you handsomely for any information or assistance you can offer, and would prefer for this to end amicably, but I am not willing to wait, and will do whatever is necessary to secure your assistance." The Dreamer focused on the Carnifex ex Imaginatio, bringing the dream monster to the fore, and manifesting it into the real world. Quickly she spoke along their mental link, her lips twitching in distaste at the meeting of their minds. I am seeking their cooperation and want you to threaten them to secure it. She quickly relayed what she had said to them to the demon. The Carnifex grinned evilly, enormous antlers rising from the sides of her head instead of her normal horns. She towered over The Dreamer and her mount. "And she doesn't need all of you to answer a question, people have many pieces they can live without."
  16. The Carnifex shook it's head to clear it, staggering forward to Ultio Red. It swayed punch drunkenly as it brought it's arms up to crush the armoured fool, but missed. A predatory grin was fixed on her face as she glared up at her, her eye closed as the glowing blood ran into it. "You made a mistake here, fake hero," it snarled in a mixture of glee and hatred. The Dreamer closed her eyes, focusing. She needed to help Ultra Girl, and her Dream Movement would let her help far more effectively assist her.
  17. The Carnifex is going to smack Red again. 1d20+4= 11 My rolling for the Carnifex is just so bad in this thread... The Dreamer is going to switch the Wonderland Array to Dream Movement (Full Action).
  18. The Dreamer wheeled out of sight quickly, dreaming herself a winged steel mask, and quickly redesigning her dress with the assistance of her dream creatures. Her torso was covered with a breastplate while the skirt had numerous small scales allowing it to shift while still appearing armoured. Finally she dreamed up a steed to bear her in her pursuit of the group, a saddled griffin which she mounted as quickly as she was able. She had her dreams hide her wheelchair as her mount sauntered out into the street and over to the alleyway. Quietly she hoped that they had not gone too far in the time it took her to dream up the new gear.
  19. Muirne looked around, pushing back on a building sense of wrongness in her head. She hadn't heard of Dr. Otaku, but it was definitely odd to her that the crowd was so against the one who was being called 'The Main Event'. Wasn't that a sign of prestige, why would they be so against him. The fight is being filmed by some drones like Vanguard uses. Also everyone hates this Otaku fellow, does anyone kno- Her train of thought came to a crashing halt as her link roared back to life and the wrongness vanished. She closed her eyes and focused on pushing the power down, before focusing back on the projection. Something was wrong here, it was almost like... Magic. She felt the blood drain from her face, there was actual magic here. Her breath left her, and a cold sweat appeared on her face. She had to get away. She clutched at her mouth to hold in her stuttering breath. She couldn't run, she had to warn Vanguard. She had to warn them but... I have to get away! As that thought blared out, Muirne collapsed to her knees and her outline gave way to writhing shadows. Her form expanded frayed into a mass of heaving shadows, with two cold green eyes glaring from a head only a plagued fancy could have dreamed of. The creature leapt from the spot Muirne had stood, flowing along the walls to the darkest corner of the room. It glared out at the warmth and light in the room, hating it. Muirne forced herself to stop, despite the pain of the light and warmth around her. She had to warn Vanguard of the magic in the building. She had to send the message. Then they would know, and could get to safety. She had to get the message out, Síþwíf Dee and the others had to know to get to safety. She reached out to the warmth with her mind, pushing through the oily shadows that were billowing through her link. The projection is magical! She relaxed, sliding further into the shadows. They would know now, and could be safe. But Eira doesn't know. Some small corner of her mind reminded her. She can't hear Dee's messages. The shadows writhed in agitation as she crawled towards the door.
  20. Okay, Muirne is gonna panic at the magic, and Shadow Form to try and run.
  21. The Carnifex shrugged off the jet burst easily, leaning forward into it with a grin on it's face before the Ultio Red's fist smashed into it. It snarled as the metal clanged against the side of it's head, the stone cracking slightly and blood like magma oozed forth, glowing with heat. The monster staggered drunkenly, chuckling quietly. The Dreamer ignored her nightmare's condition, continuing to focus on her dreamscape. She bent reality to her will, and once again a large box appeared in the air, plummeting towards the building's roof. She sighed tiredly, her frustration mounting. Maybe she should dismiss the Carnifex and have her dreams try and grapple the targets, but at the same time they might become even more aggressive if she did, which would endanger not only herself, but Ultra Girl. She couldn't risk that.
  22. Okay, Carnifex is dazed, so she cannot take any actions. The Dreamer is gonna try and put the same two guys in a box. DC 17 Reflex again
  23. The Dreamer breathed deeply behind her mask, taking in Brixton's explanation. She had the information which she had been given regarding their smuggling operation tonight, and needed to wrap this up, hoping to follow the criminals. "I understand, Alaynah must be a busy woman. Two weeks sounds perfectly fine." She kept her voice friendly, no use burning a bridge if she didn't have to. The snake began to wind its way around her arm, towards the rest of the chair, but she ignored it. She shook her head at the offer to refer her to someone else. "No thank you, I am perfectly willing to wait. Thank you for your time." She began wheeling her way towards the door after she finished, but paused at the question, thinking it over and realising that she had not in fact provided him a name, alias or otherwise. "How foolish of me, it slipped my mind. Please, call me Trickster. I look forward to that meeting." With that she wheeled her way out of the shop, looking around for any sign of where Alaynah and the others had gone.
