  1. Pan stood firm in the air, simply crossing his arms before his chest, his lips remaining split into a devilish grin. Show no fear. Show no hesitation. Do not waver in resolve, or in confidence. The few tricks and rules that had gotten him this far, that had granted him his unwavering confidence, even as Nicole cursed him from his side. He did not turn to look at her, not yet at least. The battle was not yet lost, and the demon had yet to attack. Salvo was too hasty in defeat, had too little faith in him. He could hardly blame her, given their past encounter, but then again, she knew nothing of who he was. He just smiled, staring straight into the eyes of Baal. He quite literally spit up the three that had been captured, and cursed them once more, declaring that they had made an enemy on this day. Before the demon disappeared, Pan bowed to the demon from his position in mid-air, his head held high and his eyes fixed on the demon. "And the traitors do appear, we will tell them of this day, and what happened here, and perhaps they will wonder who to fear the most: Baal, or the ones that made him run?" And then the demon was gone, and Mike was shouting and singing their praises and doing a very bad job at lying. While Nicole was quick to land and pull Mike up by the hair, Pan descended in a slower motion, eventually hovering just a foot above the ground, his arms crossed as he looked down at Nicole, not really acknowledging Mike or his friends quite yet. "Well, you did tell me that you trusted me. I could hardly let you down after such a rousing vote of confidence." He was happily smiling. Pan honestly wasn't sure if he had ever pulled a trick like this before, or if he would be able to again. With a frown, he turned his attention to Mike and his friends. "As those three and the would-be traitor... No, I quite agree. No need for any baby gloves." His eyes were glaring daggers at Mike. He was not one to get physically rough, like Nicole was proving at the moment, but he was not about to let them off the hook either. "Do you even understand what you have done? Not your friends, they were merely fools that trusted you. Mere pawns. You were the catalyst for all this, for bringing a demon to this place. What did you honestly think would happen? That no one would notice? I believe you are lucky that it is just the three of us here. No matter what punishment Nicole is thinking of, it will be light compared to what the teachers will do." No, he did quite agree with Nicole on this one. He might be friendly, and might often play the fool, but he saw no need with Mike.
  2. It was great! I'll have at least one more post for tomorrow, but great if Heritage can bring the cavalry!
  3. GM She didn't really seem to buy it, but Betty followed along anyway, doing her best to slip on the vest. "Here," she said, handing Buddy a pair of handcuffs. "Cuff him to hte sink or something so he doesn't cause anymore trouble." She nodded along, agreeing with Buddy's assessment. "Yep, its what I gathered too. They're amateurs at best, but if anything, that just makes them even more dangerous. No telling waht they will do." There was no windows, but Buddy found himself looking at a ventilation duct above the middle of the room. It was somewhat wide. Wide enough for Betty to fit, at least, even if Buddy couldn't, but she was already protesting the moment she saw his gaze linger. "No no! No way, Buddy! You're not geting me to crawl through that!"
  4. And off he stomped, leaving Robin behind. He had a point, yeah. And it made her kind of angry that he did so. If he was creating trouble, she could probably make her way in here easier, but what if he started hurting people? She couldn't let that happen, could she? She needed the evidence to help Anna, to get rid of this place, but should she do something like that? It would be the easiest way to do it, but... Damn it. She couldn't take the easy way. Not if it meant someone getting hurt. And while Robin had been debating what to do, Jones had already moved down. How did he even know about secret labs downstairs, anyway? But those were what she would go for, anyway! So, as well as she could, Robin followed, dashing down the stairs after Jones. She would have to figure out what to do once she got there.
  5. Wait. Antibodies? Pan had learned something about the human body in the classes at Claremont, and antibodies just wished to protect a body from outside attacks. So, the entire mountain was a body? They were inside something that was really alive? "This is just plain disgusting, is it not?" he asked no one in particular, while flying down to be closer to the others. Oz was a wizard, alright. Could probably get them out. But he was not all there this moment, was he now? Alright then, no more fooling around for the wizard. He flew to Oswald. "Oh no, Mr. Teacher! I am not sure I remember how to do the spell to move everyone around us to another location. Do you suppose you could demonstrate?"[/color]
  6. Do things proper? Yeah, of course! Not like Robin would be able to change things if she didn't! "Talking? Yeah, if that works, but I'm guessing it won't for these people. Problem is, if you just smash things, they'll rebuild, come back bigger, better and badder, and ready for when you try again. You wanna bring them down for good, you gotta find evidence! Bring it to the cops, the news, whichever. Not just smash things up." Alright, she tried, but she could already see it wasn't about to work. Jones didn't seem like the kind of guy to change his mind in any way. She felt she had to try, and despite everything else she had learned... she wasn't about to take the first shot. Not if she could talk him down. "So, we work together. Find evidence of everything we can, all the wrong they're doing there. How's that sound?" No, didn't sound plausible at all to Robin either.
  7. GM The woman paused, after climbing out from the tub. "Alright, you got a point there," she admitted. Straightening her dress, the woman moved over to lean down next to Buddy as he searched the gunman. "Just call me Betty, alright? You hit pretty well for a newsman, Buddy. You're some kind of two fisted reporter?" She was smiling brightly, revelling a bit in the victory. The gunman had a few items on him of note. A handgun, a rifle, along with extra ammunition for each. A cell phone, and not a cheap one either, connected to a bluetooth headset. Whoever had outfitted these gunmen, they had not believed in old school radios to keep them in touch, apparently. He was wearing a bulletproof vest. Nothing that could really identify him. "I'll take that one," Betty said, reaching for the handgun. "So, you got us this far. Got a plan?"
  8. GM It took some effort, but with one final pull, the Seeker managed to break the lock on the window. It was cheap, like most of the building seemed to be, but then again, few expected to have break-ins at this altitude. So far, so good. No one had looked up from the street below, and if he looked inside, the Seeker could not sense anyone inside. The room appeared mostly empty, at least at first glance. There was a bed. A dresser by the wall. There was a single stove and a single table. An old refrigerator. A cheap place to live, probably. Two doors, one probably leading to a bathroom, the other to the hallway. Some papers seemed to be spread out over the table.
  9. "But non-serious property damage is allowed, then? Just so I am clear on what is and is not allowed," Pan responded to Danica with a wink, while he played around with some Pixie Dust in his hand, the glowing dust swirling around his hand, dancing between his fingers, as Judy returned. "Consider it done!" His reply to Judy was quick and bright, the Pixie Dust disappearing from his hand. Weaving an image of them not being there around them, or rather, an image of them returning to the nearest building, which would then disappear, while leaving everyone around them seeing just nothing. He had to make sure to cover their tracks, of course. Better to have it seem like they had gone somewhere than them just disappearing. "Just stick close to me, and no one can see or hear you." It was one of his favorite tricks, he had to admit.
  10. Can you give me a Strength check for breaking, and a Stealth check for how much noise you make?
  11. GM "Huh?" the woman asked, as she suddenly felt Buddy's hands on her. Then she was thrown through the air, landing in the tub with a thump and an "OW!" "Huh?" the gunman asked, turning to see what was going down with Buddy and the woman yelling. All he saw was Buddy's fist flying into his face, and then he was on the floor in the bathroom. The woman pulled herself up from the giant bathtub, looking rather pissed, though her expression softened when she saw the gunman on the floor. "What the hell was that? Why'd you have to throw me like that?"
  12. That's a hit! Toughness: 1d20+6 = 12 And KO in one hit.
  13. "Hey, he's just doing his job!" Robin tried to shout to stop Jones, but he just didn't seem to care. Only wanted to smash this place and hurt whoever got in his way. Great. She wanted to bring the place down too, but not like this. But alright, Jones wasn't going to stop doing this, and she had tried reasoning with him. The guard's taser might not have had much of an effect, but she had something better. Quickly pulling out the Justice Buster, she raised it to take aim at Jones. She wasn't about to shoot him in the back, but no way she was going to let him continue this. "Alright. Stop or I'll stop you. I want to bring this place down just as much as you do. We can work together, but not if you keep attacking everyone that gets in your way. This is your last chance."
  14. GM "Oh god!" The woman gasped, making more sounds like she was indeed puking, even if Buddy could clearly see that nothing was coming up. The gunman was clearly not happy with the sounds and perceived sight, turning slightly away so he wouldn't have to watch. Between heavy breaths and gasps, the woman quickly whispered. "Are you going to do something or what? OH GOD! I'M NEVER DRINKING AGAIN! I'm not gonna fool him for long." She kept making gagging noises, doing her best to pretend to let out everything she had eaten or drunk during the entire dinner. Whether Buddy was right about the woman or not, she was clearly more than she had first appeared, at least.
  15. U.F.O. "This unit has purged all foreign malware." Its robotic voice sounded almost offended that Sitara believed it could be infected with something, but it complied anyway. 777 knew that it should wait for the Praetorian to respond, despite Amara being really busy. It was proper protocol, and it was just a drone after all, not a proper Praetorian, and yet, it could not. There was that strange sensation again, like electricity running through its circuits. Was this excitement? Almost as soon as the Traveller brought up the display and linked it in, it joined in with its own greeting. "Greetings! This unit is designated Universal Field Operative 777. This unit has been lost for a long time. Repaired with Communion technology after near fatal mission to destroy enemy combatant. This unit placed itself in an inactive state to avoid being used against the Praetorians. Reactivated when signal from Central Intelligence ceased. This unit wishes to return to active duty." Again, its voice was not quite monotone, but sounded at least slightly exciting. 777 found the sound strange.
  16. GM As the group went through the security booth one by one, they were each handed a small ID card on a strap, while being informed to have it visible at all times. So far, so simple. Once they were all through, Vegas made a show out of displaying his own card to one of the guards before following them into the open area, quickly getting in front of the group and leading them through a door into a corridor. They were probably below ground now, but just like the elevator, the corridor was entirely see through, with multiple rooms of varying sizes all around them, all with different researchers and artifacts. "Well then! Once again, welcome everyone! I must admit that I'm not really used to giving tours of this place, so bear with me, alright? And speaking of bears!" Vegas chuckled at his own joke as he led the group to the left, into a small room. There were just a pair of researchers inside, both dressed rather casually, aside from their white lab coats. The group could only just fit inside the room as it was, not made easier by the presence of a life-sized golden bear statue in the middle of the room. "Just look at this! It was found in Kansas of all places! We believe it might be connected to the myth of the golden bear that several people claimed to have seen in the 1840'es. Exciting, right?" One of the researcher piped up. "Or maybe just someone's art, Sam. Nothing paranormal about it yet, at least." He sounded rather disappointed. Vegas waved him off. "Sure, but better safe than sorry, right?" Vegas led them on through several rooms, showing them several artifacts and items of interest along the way. There was much to see, some of the students was even invited to have a closer look at the things. After about an hour, having gone around much of the building and approaching the atrium again, Vegas led them towards another room, the same size as the first. "Now, this is a good one! Its a pretty recent find, too. It was found in London, but we're pretty sure that its from another world! Exciting, right?" As they moved closer, a distinct TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK sound started becoming ever louder, from only barely audible to the volume of a normal speaking voice. And inside the room, the group found a single researcher standing over a table that held the face of a clock, at a size that could roughly fit in a palm. It was rather Victorian in design, with roman numerals that counted up to XIII at the top. Despite not appearing to have mechanics connected that could make it run, the arms were moving, slowly edging forward to the number XIII. Pan recognized it immediately. "I know that! It is a Horologium, from Neverworld!" He could barely contain his excitement, starting to move towards it before Vegas stopped him. And the second the arms struck XIII on the Horologium, alarms began blaring through the facility, blinking red lights filling the room.
  17. Forever Boy "Amazing!" Pan could barely contain his excitement. As the elevator descended, there were just so many things to see! On one floor, he spotted a group of researchers running after a jumping stone, on the next a beautiful painting that seemed to shift and turn, with colors that did not seem quite right, like they were from something not quite from this world. Was this what life for Veronica's family, then? Adventures around and beyond the world, gathering the strange and the amazing, then figuring out what it all did? He kind of wanted in on that, wanted to see it all! And then, they reached the ground floor, and it was time for formalities again. Alright, he wanted to see things, then he should stay grounded. Probably. For as long as he could, at least. Moving up to the guard station once it was his turn, he produced his greatest, most innocent smile and stated his name. "Pan Barrie." The last name Barrie still felt a bit odd, but he could at least appreciate the reference in it.
  18. Current situation around the room: The Cultist 2 (the big cultist) is blocking the doorway into the room. Ronin has reached outside the room and shot at Cultist 2. Cultist 3 (the Shadow cultist) is on the floor, between Cultist 2 and Lady Horus. Dr. Thorne is outside the room as well, and Wadjet is in the hallway, having taken a shot. Cultist 1 is in the room, being grappled by Mr. Strix.
  19. The woman doesn't appear to be quite as drunk as she's acting. And there's something about the sounds she's making that doesn't seem quite like someone that's about to puke.
  20. Completely forgot: Can I get a notice?
  21. GM "Shut up, and just go." The gunman that had been assigned to keep an eye on Buddy and the woman clearly didn't like his job. The woman was brunette, her hair cut in a short pixie cut. She wore some makeup, but nothing even near the same degree as Tricia Thorne. Unlike Tricia, she was wearing a black suit, with a shirt dress shirt and black tie. Very formal looking, really. Still, she stumbled and slurred a bit as Buddy helped her. She was maybe in her late 20'es or early 30'es. "Miss, not ma'am," she countered, through slurred words, as he led her on, and into the bathroom. Once inside, she hurried towards the sink. The sounds she were making were far from pleasant, and the gunman looked to the side, while still trying to keep his eye on Buddy. The bathroom itself was, to put it simply, huge and showing Tricia's wealth off. A large bath rub, white with what appeared to be golden legs supporting it. A small family could probably fit in it. A very nice ceramic toilet and sinks, with inlaid golden patterns. The mirrors over the sink was huge, easily letting Buddy see the gunman behind them.
  22. Alright. He was probably talking of Anna. But was she the she that Jones was talking about? Or was it someone else entirely? Gah, nothing was ever easy, was it? "Hey, come on! I'm not stalling!" Well, she really didn't mean to, but maybe it was an idea. Let people get out of there, right? "I want to know. And maybe, uh, help a bit? As long as you don't start attacking random people, at least!" Yeah, great plan. Team up with the pretty clearly unstable guy. But maybe that would be the best way to make sure he didn't hurt anyone, plus, she did want to try to bring down this place. Just, y'know, do it right. She followed, moving much lighter than Jones' stomps. "This place is hurting lots of people, but that doesn't mean everyone working here is bad. Gotta do it right, else they'll just rebuild somewhere else. Get evidence of what they're doing, not just go around blowing up buildings."
  23. Oh, Pan was not quite fast enough to evade the spores that blew into the air, as incredible as that sounded to him, but at least he was made of sterner stuff than Boddyflock's men, it seemed. The smell was horrible, of course. Tasted bad in his mouth, too, but at least he was managing to keep his lunch down, unlike the Fae that rolled around on the floor. "A sort of joke, at least!" he replied to Lorenzo's question. No, no, he felt no need to explain that one. At least Oswald was being quite handy in dispelling the cloud of fungal spores, were he not, lost in his delirious dream or not. Pan still marveled at the thought of eating the Mushroom Mountain. He almost wanted to join in on the puking at the thought, but he held it back. Another Pixie made of Dust appeared between his hands. Holding open his palm, he let it fly, twitching and turning and shifting around, before heading directly to the nearest Mushroom Man.
  24. Well, Pan doesn't want to get too close, spores or no, so... Another Pixie Blast, aimed at the nearest Mushroom Man. 1d20+11 = 31 And a crit threat! If it hits, and crit is confirmed (guessing both), that's DC 31 Toughness.
