  2. “There weren’t any clues to the location, I’m afraid. The girl was teleported away.†Terrifica frowned slightly. “However, it was a magical working and a sloppy one at that. Someone with that much power and that little skill is…worrisome.†Yes, let’s not mention the potential casualities if someone like that lost what little control they have…or summoned something they could not then deal with. She suppressed a shudder. “Fortunately, who it could be is a short, short list. Which Ms. Stenford is hopefully narrowing down at this very moment. Could you show me to that room, please? I may have some questions of my own.†She slid past him and started down the stairs. “Oh, yes. Confirming her location won’t be difficult. The perpetrator left a very clear trace, which will also exist at the teleport’s end point. It’s essentially a arrow pointing in a certain direction. Shall we?â€
  3. With a 22, that is indeed a failure on that Intimidate, that was indeed a complete miss. So bad of a miss, in fact, that Light just throws an incredulous look in the Rat's general direction and keeps on waiting for Revenant. Speaking of, it's her turn, Tiff!
  4. “That’s the thing, though.†Something had been bothering Vonnie. “Dunno about you, Starshot, but us two usually wear masks to disguise our identities. We’re superheroes. I took it as they took the masks and gear away, but didn’t look at our faces. And also, that we should run. I mean, it is a hunt, right? What fun is prey that doesn’t run? Moving isn’t a bad idea, but I don’t think any of us are trained in how not to leave a trail in the jungle. And I’m willing to bet we’re at least a hundred miles from anything. So it really doesn’t matter where we go. They’ll find us.†He glanced around. “I’d much rather it’d be on our terms and not theirs, but I don’t have any idea how to pull that off.â€
  5. I’m surrounded by idiots. Terrifica once again gripped the bridge of her nose with her thumb and forefinger. Magic so sloppy the texts should use it as a perfect example of what NOT to do. Magic does not require intelligence, the texts are clear on that. Meaning this fool is both stupid and bad at magic. So bad, a child could do better. I, with my utter lack of anything even resembling magical power, could do better. She sighed. Hard. At least the idiot left a marker to trace him with. She removed her hand from her face and strode out of the room looking for Agent Kawena. Having paid precisely zero attention to Thaelia, alias Glamazon.
  6. The irony. Terrifica and Grim have met, but not in civvie form. Wonder if Grim'll notice? :D
  7. All right. I'll be blunt. I want a "chase the bad guys to their lair" scene. Please help me with that.
  8. Queenie saw the two run out the mall and heard the car start, too. “What, y’all two not fast enough to catch one car? I mean, I can fetch ‘em, but man, you guys. Say something.†She strolled to the mall doors and paused. “You know…I’ve got a better idea. Seemin’ as the aftermath really isn’t ‘Blazer’s scene…†She grinned. “Why don’t y’all tag along?†A flippin’ frying pan, made of the same translucent silver energy as before formed around both Stronghold and Angie. “Welcome to McQueen Airlines, where we fly with a smile!†The pan (and the pair) suddenly jolted into motion, but stopped just as fast. Queenie vanished her construct with a sigh. “Right, that was rude of me. It’s my first team up, ya see. I don’t quite know how this whole thing is supposed to work, and I’m…kind of used to just taking charge. Comes with running a pro kitchen. Sorry.†She frowned. “I…I can finish this off myself. I mean, how hard can a car with vegetable people in it be to find, you know?†Also, if I let them go now, they’ll hurt other people, and it’ll be my fault. Not on anyone’s life. She walked out the door. If the other two were quick about it, they could catch her before she left.
  9. Whoops double post. Shizz happens.
  10. First things first. With one full combat turn in the books, here's how things stand. Ferretti's House3 rounds gone, 18 remaining Delano Light-Uninjured-Villain Red Rat-Uninjured and Hidden-1 HP Revenant-Uninjured-1 HP Outside Esther's Apartment-2 rounds gone, 18 remaining Blue Jay-Uninjured-1 HP Olive Cartridge-Uninjured-Villain Delano Light, only knowing about Revenant's entrance (and not even who she is, yet), will prepare his fist for her face. When she appears upon the scene, anyway. As stated above, he is not yet aware the Rat is there. Olive's defense check is...29. So...yeah. Facepalm was needed there, yes. She will use a Teleport effect without her using her gun to put some distance between the two (as well as attempt to raise Jay's paranoia about Olive pulling a disappearing act) and just shoot her. Rav, you get a hero point. Why? Because said shot is a surprise attack, with Olive teleporting to Esther's balcony for the shot, so that all that light would disguise her reappearance. Attack roll is...31 ...okay, then. DC 22. Cape? The Rat is up! Also the phone convo is over.
  11. Blue Jay Facing the expanding ball of adhesive, Olive threw herself aside into a roll, coming with her gun device aimed and ready. “Come now, chica. The hard way? I thought you were a superhero, not some action movie cliché. Don’t bore me.†She flicked the selector switch and fired what looked like a ball of lightning at Jay. At first the hero looked stunned, but quickly shook it off. “Hmm. Not so bad, chica. I feel I should tell you, just so your hopes aren’t too high. I kind of…can’t bring her back.†She shook her gun. “Only works one way, you know?†Olive smiled smugly. “Of course, chica, that means I can leave whenever I want. And if you bore me too much…I just might do it early.†Her smile widened.
  12. Terrifica would be good from the technical side, getting all the attractions in place. Also nerding out a bit. Queenie's ring constructs can be quite scary in the dark, as well. Plus she could easily cater the event.
  13. Vonnie listened to the recording quietly. The young man only had a few buttons to push, but this was one of them. His only physical reaction was, paradoxically, the tension draining out of his body. He spoke so softly it was virtually inaudible. “So that’s what this is all about…I hate being right.†He looked up at Starshot, his eyes full of a cold fury. There wasn’t even a hint of his previous joviality in his voice when he spoke again, even though he smiled anyway. “They should’ve done their research better. I said it before. Hunting me always ends badly. For the hunter.†He easily caught up to the other teen. “Dunno about you, but I’m thinking the Lords of Hunt stop existing today. I refuse to be somebody’s prey. Never again.I know a thing or two about tech. If you need something built, I'm your man.â€
  14. “Or you could just do…that.†Vonnie just stared for a moment as his fellow teen outwrestled a frickin’ jaguar. “Okay, I take it back. You can protect me.†I mean, d#$%. I don’t think I could do that. That said, dunno if a rear naked choke’ll work on a jag, so… He took two steps, faster than any human could reasonably be expected, drew one leg back and aimed for the moon. So to speak, anyway. One helluva punt. Vonnie’s foot was right on target, and the jaguar slumped the ground unconscious. “Boot leather sandwich! Ah, yeaaaah!†Vonnie celebrated for a bit. “Man, where I come from the Jaguars don’t try to eat you. And if you kicked them you got into trouble, not out of it.â€
  15. I have tired of waiting for Tiff. So. Rav. 20 Attack roll for a Stun attack. DC 17.

  18. Terrifica gripped the bridge of her nose with her thumb and forefinger. Oh, lovely. A loudmouthed, musclebound idiot. My day is complete. Why are there so many heroes who seem to have left their brains in their other pants, along with their senses of propriety and indoor voices? There are rules. There is a proper way for people to behave. Why am I the only one who sees it? “Ah. Mr. Kawena, I do have some skill in investigation. As Mechanized has chosen to speak with parents, I will take the room first. If you would not mind leading the way?†The AEGIS agent seemed a decent, cooperative sort. Excellent. Another Divens would just be the icing on the bad day cake. She had had to teach a substitute class over at HIT today, after a special guest professor had pulled out at the last minute. Without notice. The students didn’t want her there. She didn’t want to be there. Etcetera. And now, a missing girl and Glamazon on top of all of it. So much yay.
  19. Sure she could...if she was outside first. :D
  20. Nah, it's nothing to apologize over. At least, I don't think so.
  21. Unfortunately, Angie was going to be a bit disappointed. As she popped out in fairy form, ready to do battle with the forces of vegetable based evil…they were all already beaten. Queenie and Stronghold had gotten the job done with a minimum of fuss. The police were already starting to haul the disarmed and disarmored thugs away. Queenie, for her part, was sucking down a milkshake. Or rather, she was until she tossed in the trash in disgust. “This is what passes for a shake? Generic milk, a poor excuse for blending, and the rest doesn’t even qualify as ice milk, let alone ice cream. Who approves this crud? I swear, it’s like there’s a corporate conspiracy to serve bad food to the masses.†Her Southern accent was, well, very noticeable, if not particularly heavy. This was not a woman who grew up in Freedom. She sighed. “Except, they’re all too dang greedy to work with each other. In fact, it’s that greed that makes the them use the cheapest possible ingredients and labor. Can’t wait until I have the…cachet, I think the word is, to do something about it.†She walked up to Stronghold. “Name’s Queenie, sunshine.†She smiled. “Pleasure to meet you.†She flicked her eyes over to where Angie had made her appearance. “Don’t just stand there, darling. It’s a hero meet up. C’mon over and introduce yourself.†One problem with that. Two of the thugs strolled out the bathroom looking awfully refreshed, took one look at the food court and bailed out the doors. Their getaway car roared to life, and they were outta there. Unless the heroes could stop them beforehand, of course.
  22. SG? Could you link your character in your signature, please? It makes the sheets easier to reference. Don't have to go digging for them.
  23. Terrifica parked the Terrifi-cycle a short distance away from the two cars. She was using the longcoat more and more often these days. She got off, noting the large mecha on the lawn. To review…Wealthy foreign girl just developed superpowers and was immediately kidnapped. FCPD-not that they have the most…stellar of records, stymied. The FBI’s cluelessness is also to be expected, considering the short list of who would take a girl with newly discovered powers in this town. Yet even AEGIS requires assistance. That is…slightly unusual, but not entirely out of the norm. See the FBI’s troubles. However, the mystical element is concerning. I am in no way a spellslinger. How did she find that little tidbit out? By being terrific at everything, of course…is what she’d say. The truth involved some hacking and some stealthy listening and perhaps a touch of breaking and entering. You know, the usual. Government security is, for the most part, a bad joke. However, if anyone on earth can find her, it is me. She walked right up to the big man, noting the girl. That suit could not be any more obviously hers. “Terrifica. I’m told you need…competent help. I make the competent look like blithering idiots.†Which, in retrospect, is actually true. “Could you show me to the meeting room, please?â€
  24. Neither Samaritan nor Queenie are listed. The whole expansion of SPAAAAACE merits a mention.
