  1. Today
  2. Gotcha, then I was thinking that Iris picks up a drone with her Telekinesis and chucks it while Daniel reaches out with his and tries to hold him in place at the same time if that's possible?
  3. The hunter can be seen. remember it's technically Daniel's turn as well, so both can do their actions together and we'll sort it out together And a correction from Thev reminded me that Minions can't crit, so that's actually two bruises. Round 1 Neko: 28, 1HP Kazra: 26,1x Bruised Timeout: 21, 4HP Esquire: 21, Everyone has Total Concealment from him. Drones: 13, 6 of them - Iris: 4 2HP Daniel: 4, Bruise
  4. Can Iris see the Hunter? If so she's going to pick up a drone with Telekinesis and throw it at him.
  5. I actually have no idea what either of their defences are- Damn, I'm so stupid. As for the toughness save: 12 - 17 with Forcefield
  6. so, Iris is being attacked with a roll of 17. I believe her Defense is +8, so 18, so it misses her. Daniel got crit, so he has to roll a DC25 Toughness save. After that, it is both of their turns.
  7. Iris Reflex save - 9 Toughness save - 5 Daniel Reflex save - 24 Toughness save - 4
  8. So wait...what do I need to roll exactly? I'm so confused-
  9. So basically Area of effects: You make a reflex save (DC is 10+Power rank) to half the rank of the effect Evasion 1 means if you make the reflex save you avoid the effect alltogether Evasion 2 means than in addition to Evasion 1 if you fail the save its still half effect. Once you have that out of the way (In this case its a Damage 12 effect so the Reflex save is 22) You make the Toughness Save at 15+Power Rank In other words, a DC 27 Tough Save BUT if you made the Reflex Save the Power Rank is halved, so you make a 15+6=21 Toughness Save Fail by 1+ - Bruised Fail by 5+ - Bruised and Dazed for 1 round, and knockback Fail by 10+ Dazed, knockedback, Staggered (or Knocked out if already Staggered) Fail by 15+ As above plus Knockout.
  10. Alright I still struggle to understand how damage works in this system ngl
  11. Echohead Echoheads buzzed. Normally he would have closed his eyes to help him focus on the sensations in his cranium. However, he was being carried by Predator and if he closed his eyes he would get motion sickness from the bouncing and flying. He didn't want to throw up over the power armour. "I can feel something..." he explained to Predator. "All the... Dennis Deacons. Its like... like a hive mind. Absolutely identical... like they all share one brain. And... and something behind them all. Like a puppetteer..." "I don't know if thats good news or bad news. Its probably both. But I thought I should tell you..." With the sound of the panciked voice, Echohead piped up again. "We are absolutely heere to help! Whats the problem?" We are here to try to help, he thought. Whether they could or not... that was another matter that he swallowed down his throat and let fungate in his stomach.
  12. To Start with - a Spray of Electric Bolts from General Sparks manning the Gun. this is a Damage 12 Area effect (cone) So DC 22 Reflex (To 1/2 damage - Evasion applies) DC 27 Damage effect (or 21 if Reflex save) To C, C and GS
  13. 14 for Gen Sparks Round 1: 14 G Sparks - Unharmed 13 Cerebral - Unharmed - 3 HP 7 - Golden Star - Unharmed 2 Cerberllum - Unharmed - 1 HP
  14. GM The shoulder had the same fantastic speed and strength of "Doctor North". Fast, furious, born of adrenaline and superheated flesh. The "Private" must have had his metabolism racing off the scales. He threw Predator off-almost casually-with a twist and swing of his arm. "Down!" he mumbled. "Down down down down. Crash!" The voice and thoughts were rapidly degrading into total incoherence. Preadtor couldn't get a hold of the private, but she could feel the skin. Pyrexial to the point of lethality. No simple human flesh could survive that internal temperature-at least not for long. So hot she could feel the muscles fasciculating as they simultanously flexed their power and degraded. The Private kicked open the cockpit door like it was cardboard, crumpling the metal. The two pilots looked back in alarm. In but a moment, the private had slammed their heads together, knocking them both out. They were still descending - but their was nobody at the wheel.
  15. Ah it should be slightly lower since she doesn't have tools. I'm sure that effects the outcome greatly, otherwise sounds good.
  16. Yesterday
  17. That will let you put a electrified dome around the oil rig! better warn the Deep Ones about it though.
  18. Sea Devil will hold her action so she can go first next round! No need for me to post, Nightscale can get up in there.
  19. "Hey assholes, here's a present from Uncle Sam!" The Patriot didn't normally talk this way, but she had just been knocked on her goddamned ass by some sort of goddamned space crap and she was having a bad day anyway. Flat on her back, she snapped two grenades loose from her belt and hurled them at the middle of the group of alien soldiers, smiling sharply at the muffled report of carefully balanced ultrasonic charges. The men, and a few women, it looked like (she couldn't really tell and they weren't necessarily her type) dropped like ninepins. Drawing her pistols as she rose to her feet, she called "Hey Ghost! I've got an idea for we can end this! You still here?"
  20. Star Knight Power Level: 10 (180/180PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: None In Brief: An old Star Knight whose just one job off of Retiring. Catchphrase: A Star Knight is always Vigilant. Theme: My Way- Frank Sinatra Alternate Identity: Millisand Vermillion, The Ruby Knight, 'That Gorilla', 'The Old Man', and a hundred other epithets Birthplace: The State of Helian, on the Planque continent of Bereingi Residence: Roving throughout the Galaxy, or a home in Bereingi Base of Operations: Mobile, or Citadel Occupation: Intergalactic Peacekeeper Affiliations: The Star Knights Family: A large family on Bereingi, his Squire Xendriz Description: Age: 85 (DoB: Equivalent Earth Year 1939]) Apparent Age: Even people who don't really understand Bereingi aging can tell that Millisand is quite old Gender: Male Ethnicity: Alien Gorilla Height: 8ft 4 inches Weight: 630 pounds Eyes: Black Hair: Fully covered in a rich ruby fur Millisand is an 8 foot tall Gorilla by all respects, if not for the fact he speaks Galstandard and usually is wearing his Star Knight Armor, which is just as red as his fur. He's not patchy furred but he's clearly old; he has a pair of tiny glasses he has to wear when he's not in his armor, and he walks with a cane. While his size would seem to represent increased strength and resilience compared to normal sized individuals or humans, his advanced age has sapped almost all of his youth's impressive strength and resilience, leaving him only about as strong as an adult human. Because of his age, he's a bit clumsy now as well, but his mind is still sharp. He cuts a dashing figure still in his Star Knight Armor, which is covered in the scars of a lifetime of battle. He favors making his energy weapon into heavy hammers and axes, a left over from when he was younger. History: Millisand Vermillion is a truly ancient being, especially for his race. His race resembles Earth Gorillas, particularly the larger Eastern Gorillas. Bereingi are, indeed, almost physically the same as Earth Gorillas; they have similar physical strength and senses to those creatures. However, they are much more intelligent, and the fur that covers their body is a deep orange, with their 'silverback' fur being a deep crimson. As they age, more of their fur becomes deep crimson; when one's fur becomes fully red, they retire to live an easy life for their last few years. Millisand is entirely crimson underneath his Star Knight armor, but he continues to go out to protect the stars. He has a wife, he has a family; he has at least 10 grandchildren, last he knew. He had retired once, but the Communion forced him out of retirement. He was old then, but with the numbers of Star Knights reduced due to the Communion, he felt the need to once more don his armor and rejoin in protecting the universe. He walks with a cane when he isn't in his armor, and without the armor he has some issues with mobility. However, his mind is just as sharp as ever, and he attempts to carry out his duties with dignity and honor. He was recently given his very last 'mission'; to take the new Star Squire; Xendriz, and turn him into a model Star Knight. So Millisand has taken the hot-headed, aggressive Star Squire under his wing, so to speak. His goal is simple; if Xendriz is important enough to be worth the trouble of training- and Millisand has no reason to believe he isn't-, then Millisand is going to teach him everything about being a Star Knight, and then retire. Throughout his years as a Star Knight, Millisand- or sometimes called the Ruby Knight for his for his dark red Star Knight armor- is well known throughout the Universe, both positively and negatively. People know him, and they know about him; they know he's old, they know they have grudges against him, they're aware of him teaching a new Squire. He doesn't try to hide these things, but they weigh on him just as much as Xendriz's brashness and unflinching foolishness. He is just...tired. Personality & Motivation: Millisand is stoic, serious, and well-mannered. He carries out his job and does the right thing because he's always had the job and he believes in it. He doesn't wear the weight of the worlds on his shoulder, but he carries out what he believes he needs to without complaint. In the end, he just really wants to finish his final job as a success, and retire for the rest of his life- however long he has- on Bereingi to live out his days. But he isn't going to leave it half done either. Powers & Tactics: Millisand has the standard Star Knight Armor, though he relies on it more than most due to his advanced age. He was quite the brute in his younger days, using his large size and great physical power to handle rogue threats, but he's lost much of that strength in his old age; he's had to become more strategic, more careful, and plan out what he intends to do more tightly. He isn't a coward, but he's not rash anymore; the scars and marks on his armor speak to a life spent aggressively but he's grown out of that these days. Power Descriptions: Millisand's powers are regular Star Knight Powers; his armor is crimson and his beams in color vary from deep red to a light pink depending on the preciseness of the beam. His physical style resembles how he would fight in his younger days; relying on pure physical strength, but now it's heavily augmented by his Star Knight Armor and he has to be more precise, but thankfully he has many years of that. Complications: Old as Dirt: Millisand is quite old, and has many of the trials and tribulations that come with being old. He has difficulty seeing without the corrective lenses in his Star Knight armor or his stand alone glasses, he has difficulty walking without his cane, and he has back pain and bad knees. Any sort of effect that is standard to an aging body can be given to Millisand as a Complication A Household Name: Millisand is rather well known for his actions when he was younger. This is not neccesarily always positive, as troublemakers or those with underworld or criminal connections can spot him out quite easily; he's effectively worthless undercover or in sneaking missions because of this, and it's always possible for someone to have heard of him or spot him in a crowd to a negative effect. Rambunctious Student: Millisand puts a lot of his focus on making sure his job of teaching Xendriz is carried out correctly, and he will put his student's safety before his own Star Knight; Millisand also puts a lot of effort into being a proper, well meaning Star Knight. 21. GM The grinning Cat offers no rebuke or resistance as Blackstaff opens the door, stepping out into a busy street, far too busy for the time of night that they had entered from. People take little notice of the pair as they walk past, the crowd simply flowing around them while from the doorway the cat speaks once more. "Be safe Christopher, and you Adrianna. I do hope you know where you're going." The Cat then faded away until naught but a grin remained in the air for several long moments. The Dreamer slowly let out a cloudy breath, face paler than normal. She turned to face Blackstaff, a weak smile on her lips. "Thank you for your help Christopher. I think if you had not been there that man would have gotten the better of me. To say nothing of... the later occurances."
  22. Predator Predator recognized the symptoms as the captain was tossed aside by the solider. Her mind raced for a moment as she instinctively raised one blaster, only to hesitate. An explosion inside the plane would be bad, and since she couldn’t be sure if shooting him would cause a detonation. Instead, the armored hero quickly crossed the interior and grabbed for the solider. She grabbed the back of the man’s combat vest and pulled him into her grasp. As she put an arm around the soldier’s neck, thermal sensors told her his temperature was rising. Not unlike ‘Dr North’ had in her lab. She cursed behind her helmet, and glanced at the cargo bay’s side door. “Hold on tight!” She called over to the captain as she drag the soldier towards said door.
  23. GM While Luke started to circle around the warehouse to search for other entrances, Leon reached out with his powers to sense the presence of paper within, both of which turned out to be fruitful endeavors. Luke found both a back door, although it was chained shut, and a hole seemed to have been punched through the roof on the left side of the building, likely the result of some cape fight, but now offering an open entrance to those maneuverable enough to reach it. For Leon's part the search initially turned up nothing which was already suspicious- why would an abandoned warehouse be clean? But quickly he found something more. In the center of the warehouse he could feel small traces of paper that gathered as lint in pockets, spaced around a person. A tall man, seated. Next to him was something even more interesting, a box about the size of a lunchbox filled with a type of paper Leon knew quite well: Rolls of cash.
  24. Blue Bolt Vueriz looked between the Deep Ones as they spoke in their own language and Michael volunteered to go 'say hello'. Aquaria's assurance that they wouldn't let the Atlanteans hurt the tribe told her more than enough about how things were between the Atlanteans and Deep Ones. This was about to turn into a fight and she didn't have her gear. Thinking quickly she slipped between a couple of the tribe members. As much as the Deep Ones scared her she couldn't stand by and let them or her friends get hurt. The biggest threat that came to mind was any weapons that might be on the ship. Her friends were tough, and she'd bet on them in a close up fight, but if the rig was blown up around them... Well, Parker would probably be fine. She put her worries aside as she pushed a box to stand on and climbed atop it to strip out the wiring and bulbs from an old light fixture, hurriedly wrapping the wires around the sleeve of her left arm with her tail as she pried components from other broken machines, rapidly assembling a cludged monstrosity upon her arm. She tried to hide her worry as she worked and talked. "That sounds great Michael! I think I'll stay, I uh, wanted to show the Deep Ones a cool gadget, it won't be quite the same as back in Zirtimzar, but you know, I think it'll be cool enough regardless."
  25. Blue Bolt Vueriz figured she shouldn't look the present animal in the mouth that the pair bought her hasty excuse, instead listening as Michael and Mizuki talked through some of the stuff they had going on. She still thought they should go after Sam, but she was Michael's friend and if he thought giving her space was best then she would defer to his judgement. She instead nodded at the offer to go down to the pier. "Sounds fun, I'll just call my board..." She activated the holographic controls in her gloves and commanded her board to spin in place for three seconds before coming around the corner so that it would look like it was further away. She wasted no time jumping onto it when it did arrive though. "Wanna race, Michael?"
  26. Blue Bolt Vueriz was pretty sure she missing context, specifically about what a 'Nahtsee' was, but she could put together that they were bad guys, and that the guys dressed up as 'the Supersoldiers and Superior' were too. She made sure to commit their symbol to memory: A black circle with two lines poking out. (She could only guess at it's meaning, but that wasn't important right now.) "So we blast them, right?" She looked to the others, waiting for the affirmative.
  27. Notice (tactile): 26 and here we see the wild pdp rp’er using up all of their decent rolls. let’s watch what happens next.
