  1. GM For now, Matt seemed to have stopped moving. He was still at the airport, which they should be able to reach without too much trouble, especially on Charlie's bike, which wasn't exactly conventional. The question was if they would get there in time, and what they would find once they got to the airport.
  2. Nevermore II Charlie crossed his arms. Yeah, Luke had told him and the others about Matt, he'd told them them a bit about the whole cyborg thing, losing control, and being in the infirmary. And Charlie had used some of his own connections to learn a bit more. A not-so-young bird might have told him a few things. "Alright. Let's go, then." His bike was ready. "Get up and lead the way, I'll drive. We gotta be quick, right? And if Matt or whoever's got him sees you flying in..."
  3. It didn't take too long for James to regain consciousness. The Bird of Prey kept talking to him, complaining to him. His wings were, for at least a moment, pretty much stuck in the cockpit, but he had done his job. He had kept the pilots safe. That was... that was something, at least. Right? "I-I think we're alright. P-please calm d-down." He was obviously not speaking to any of the others as he retracted his wings. Standing back, he looked around the others and winced when he saw Patriot bleeding. "I-I... I d-don't think I c-can..." Panic was clearly starting to build in his voice.
  4. Nevermore II "Nevermore, likewise." Charlie returned Miracle Girl's handshake, a very non-cowl-like smile playing across his lips. Had Charlie noticed that Terrifica was already there? He didn't act like it, at least, but he didn't jump either, when Terrifica spoke up. Shaking his head with another grin, he moved to join Terrica and Miracle Girl at the other booth. "Hey, networking's always good, and I figure I can just as well learn from everyone I can, right?"
  5. Doktor'd! Ghost Please update Ghost's picture to this: And the costume description to this: The friendly neighborhood Ghost wears a light grey and white costume with thick black accents. The costume is mainly light grey, with white boots and gloves, separated from the rest of the costume with thick black lines. The middle of his chest and lower body is white, separated from the light grey with the same thick black lines, which also show the difference between pants and shirt. Thick black lines stretch from just under his chest, under his arms and connecting on his back. He wears a white mask that covers his entire face, leaving just his eyes visible. Casper wears a pair of x-ray goggles with light blue glass that seems to glow over his eyes. While they seem to be built into the costume, each lens can be moved and placed separately. His logo is a stylized light blue ghost that almost seems to be glow, placed directly in the middle of his chest. Offensive use of Ghost's powers tend to create a chaotic light blue energy effect . Thank you.
  6. GHOST Casper let out a breath that he didn't know he had been holding as dinosaur finally fell down. Sooo... yeah. That was probably what Grim could do when she got worked up enough. He hadn't been kidding when he considered his little trick to be draining, though. He was gonna be feeling that tonight. His arm was already sore. "Nice." Ghost floated down in front of the dinosaur, waving his hand in front of it's closed eyes. "Yeah, I think you got him good. Guess he should've stayed in that cage, huh?" This was good. Great, even. Rex usually caused way more property damage before Casper managed to take him down.
  7. GM The beast cried out in pain and frustration, reeling back from the strike, as it's hat and monocle were thrown off by the blow. "You... small, insignificant... small.... sm..." It's lower jaw started opening and closing, like it had trouble articulating, before it fell forward, faceplanting into the ground. The entire area shook as it hit.
  8. That is indeed a crit! TOU save: 14 Fail by more than 15, he's knocked out, and we're out of combat!
  9. That's a hit. Ref save: 17 Yellow is entangled. Give me an IC @Spacefurry, then @Nerdzul is up! 32 - La Puma Negra - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1) 11 - Nightscale - 2HP - Bruise (x1), Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Bruise (x1), Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Bruise (x1), Staggered, Dazed 10 - Yellow Villain - Staggered, Entangled (ATK/DEF -2, Dex -4) 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  10. What the hell was Fleur thinking, bringing her baby here? Sure, she was powerful. Way more than him. Could take care of herself, could take care of the baby, but still... Ugh. Alternate reality nonsense, and with Grue? Yeah. Sounded like a bad time. And Fleur had to bring her baby. He should just let the big shots handle this. It sounded like Gaian Knight, Tiamat, Gabriel and Fleur knew what they were doing here. And sure, he had dealt with alternate reality nonsense before, but not Grue like this. Casper paused briefly to look up at Ms. Grue, towering above them. That wasn't what she normally looked like, was it? Did the Grue shapeshift organs and everything too, or was the form just skin deep? He had no idea. But if these people were dealing with Grue... Then who was to say that none of them were Grue? Casper pulled his goggles up over his eyes, turning them on as he did so. Just a hunch. Probably nothing, but he'd rather be sure everyone looked like what they were supposed to look like on the inside.
  11. I'd like to use Ghost's X-Ray goggles to check if everyone around them look human on the inside.
  12. Blue's defense vs. Feint vs DC 18: 15+1 = 16, she's feinted! @MoonSimply: Remember, each feint gives the target a cumulative +1 bonus to resist! It's a hit, so TOU vs. DC23: 11-1 = 10 Ow, fail by 10+, that means Staggered and Dazed! @Spacefurry is up next! Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is grappling Red on the sidewalk. Green a bit further down the street. 32 - La Puma Negra - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1) 11 - Nightscale - 2HP - Bruise (x1), Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Bruise (x1), Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Bruise (x1), Staggered, Dazed 10 - Yellow Villain - Staggered 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed

  14. Right. Those guys. Yeah, sure. Casper had to admit, he had no idea who most of those people were supposed to be. Maybe he had just missed something. Everyone else here seemed to be all stoic and accepting of whatever was happening, so... best way to do it, right? Besides, Gabriel was already checking on the wounded guy, Hellion, and Fleur was arriving... Dark Star was her ex, wasn't it? Probably not this guy, if he was talking about being new at it? A woman in Centurion's colors, an American Patriot... Or maybe it was some alternate reality nonsense. He honestly wasn't sure what was going on right now. But of course he couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Not to make light of your friend's situation or anything, but can't help but notice that you didn't really tell us why you're here?"
  15. GHOST Casper wasn't quite sure what Grimalkin was doing to Thesaurus Rex, but if anything, it seemed to be affecting him, at least. He had been right, though. It didn't take long for Thesaurus Rex to break free, and now here he was, ready to rampage again, and Grimalkin was still hurt... Yeah, alright. This took a bit out of him, but he could help. "Alright, stand still a sec." He reached out, touching her insubstantial shoulder with his own insubstantial hand, and focused. He could make himself and others he touched ghost. Go through things. Disappear through things. It wasn't easy to do, but he could do that with a lot of things. Like the pain and fatigue that Grimalkin were feeling right that second. Was it easy? No. But slowly, but surely, he did it. A deep breath later, and Grimalkin was back in fighting condition.
  16. GM Thesaurus Rex coughed and sputtered as the dreamy mists crept into his body, shaking his head to try and get rid of the feeling. "N-no! I will, I shall, I can... I will devour!" The beast roared and made one final push, it pushed itself out of the ground, breaking through the pavement on the way.
  17. That's a hit. DC20 Will Save vs. Will Drain: 15 5 Wisdom drained Thesaurus Rex tries, once again, to break the Snare. DC30 TOU save for the Snare: 12 The snare is broken! Thesaurus Rex gets hit with the DC25 TOU save on Init 7: 28 And he aces that, of course Ghost stunts this power off his Ghost With the Most Array: Healing 10 (Extras: Energizing, Total; Flaws: Limited to others) {30/31} And uses it on Grim. Since it's DC10 Con+Healing rank check to get rid of Staggered, that's an autopass, and Energizing gets rid of Fatigue, though Ghost takes that on. I use a HP to get rid of that instantly, since I'll be fatigued at the start of my next turn. And you're up, no longer staggered or fatigued. 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Unharmed 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Bruise x4, 5 Wisdom drained 7 - Ghost - 2HP - Fatigued start of next turn
  18. Nevermore II By the time Luke got to the main gate, Charlie was already there. He was wearing a jacket that just worked to conceal the Nevermore uniform that he was already wearing under it, without having pulled on the cowl, and the cape somehow hidden under it. It was a trick he had used a few times before, for quick undercover work, but right now, it was useful for not looking like he was all suited up and ready to go. The moment Luke arrived, he was ready. This was serious, no doubt about it. "Alright, I'm ready. What's happening?"
  19. GM The headmistress looked after Luke as he jumped out of the window, disappearing almost without a trace. She sighed silently, and shook her head. The wing was in ruins. It would be rebuilt soon enough, but the damage done to Luke could be worse. So much worse.
  20. ROCKET Jay came to a stop for a second. Well, less than a second probably. It was all relative. Bees everywhere. Robot bees, at least. And people acting like they were zombies, doing what they were told. Why were they doing that? He'd need some more data, but the buzzing could be it... and the big bees seemed like they might be the source of that. While Jay took the second to understand what was going on, the man in the reflective armor acted, and called out. Alright, yeah. Acting was a good idea. He should probably do that. What would Uncle Johnny do? Run fast, hit things. Once again not much but a blue, black and white blur, Jay rocketed towards the near of the drones, throwing a few hundred super speed punches at it, before he rushed towards the next, repeating the performance, and again on the third of the drones, before rushing back, away from them, quickly putting in distance from them before he would get caught up in whatever the buzz from them were doing.
  21. Alright, as you said on discord, Rocket can hit 3 of the drones with a 100 ft. Trail Area attack, so... gonna do just that. Setting Rocket Speed Array to the Damage effect. Setting Super Scientific Rocket Array to Trail Area Rocket Speed. Moving to the nearest drone and starting the Damage Effect, then moving in as straight lines as possible to the other two nearest drones, avoiding civillians along the way. If you deem any other bees or swarms are caught in the trail, feel free to let them get hit too Let's go with Rocket punching them all a lot of times at super speed as he moves by, so Bludgeoning Damage Type as the descriptor. Attack roll: 22 For anyone caught in the trail that's hit, that's a DC25 TOU save.
  22. How many of the drones can I catch in a continuous 100 ft. trail area, if Rocket moves to one of the bee drone, then starts the trail from there?
  23. GM "Snap out of it!" The leader of the group looked around at the other brightly colored champions of crime, obviously not pleased with how they were handling themselves in this fight. "Don't just stand there, hit them! We got a mission, remember!? We can't be tied up fighting these nobodies!" While his compatriots in crime were shaking their heads, regaining their footing from the blows they had taken or just slowly struggling against being held. "Ah, to hell with it!" Green lightning crackled around his arms again, before being pulled along the ground and up across Nightscale's body.
  24. @MoonSimply: Like you used Feint, one of the moves granted by a Skill, Nightscale is now using the Demoralize move on the Green Villain. Since he has Skill Mastery for Intimidate, he doesn't need to roll, but can just take 10 as his roll, which would, normally, put his Intimidate roll at 20 (since he a total Intimidate +10). However, rather than use a Standard Action to Demoralize, Nerdzul decides to use a Move Action, freeing up his standard action for his attack. You can do exactly the same with other Skill actions, like Feint, but it comes at the cost of -5 to your roll, which means that Nightscale's Intimidate roll is at 15. You can get around the -5 by picking the Feat "Challenge [Fast INSERT SKILL ACTION]", which means you can perform a Skill action that is normally a Standard Action as a Move Action, without taking any penalties to your roll. It's something to consider, if you think you will be using Acrobatic Feint, Feint or other Skill actions a lot. The Challenge feat is in the Mastermind's Manual book, not in the core book. Green, rolling vs. Intimidate 15: 28, nope, not demoralized! Since everyone buy Green are dazed, they will spend their turns clearing the Daze. The Green Villain then blasts at Nightscale again: 22-4 for shooting in melee equals 18, that's a hit. @Nerdzul: Give me DC25 TOU save. Then @MoonSimply is next! Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is grappling Red on the sidewalk. Green a bit further down the street. 32 - La Puma Negra - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1) 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Bruise (x1), Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Bruise (x1), Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Bruise (x1) 10 - Yellow Villain - Staggered 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
