  1. Mechanized hits the last drone in melee, taking 10 with a +2/-2 modifier using Accurate Attack.
  2. I think I'll try making up an adventure set just before, and at, New Year's Eve. A group of kids from Claremont, along with a chaperone, enjoy a skiing trip at a fancy hotel. It could be anywhere, possibly the Alps since Trailblazer can take everyone there through fairyland. A New Year's Eve party is included... until a villain decides to crash it! I'd reserve a good amount of time to the days before the party though, to give the characters the chance to mingle and do "normal teenagers" stuff. Who's interested?
  3. Emily scanned around for more targets, force cannon ready to fire. while the group of pirates fending off the drones in melee were being strangely successful, their companions were struggling to shoot down another drone. Mechanized spotted an opening and shot. The drone was hit squarely and thrown back like a rag doll, collapsing on the floor. "These guys are tough. How many more can we expect?"
  4. I'm going to be visiting my grandparents from Wednesday to Sunday. I'm not sure if I'll have internet available, and it might be spotty even if I have it. If you don't read from me, I wasn't swallowed by a black hole.
  5. Mechanized takes 10 with Accurate Attack as usual, this time firing the Force Cannon at the drone not in melee.
  6. OK, I'm starting to think my character Nano Angel would fare well as an AEGIS agent, considering they're the one who saved her from being a lab rat in the first place, so I'm wondering: is there a team of AEGIS aligned heroes, something along the line of the Avengers? And if there's nothing like that, why not set it up?
  7. Emily landed a blow on the metallic monster, which fell on the floor just in time for her battlesuit's foot to step over it. The thing was crushed with an admittedly satisfying crack. "Yes! One more down! Hang on, Mem!" She turned to face the remaining drones, taking aim with the force cannon, ready to fire again. "Come on, who's next?"
  8. Usual routine. I take 10 to attack a drone using Accurate Attack. If it's in melee, it's an unarmed attack, force cannon otherwise.
  9. Diane noticed the other woman talking with the police, and greeted her with a nod. "Just like that? They burn down a person just by stabbing them? Definitely... odd." Diane tried to remember if her friend Nat ever said anything about people like this. She had an... unfortunate... amount of experience with tech-wielding supervillains, but she'd never had to deal with the occult. Actually, she half expected most of it to be just crazy mumbo-jumbo. "I'd go in, if you don't mind. If you need some reassurance about my allegiance, AEGIS can confirm I'm one of the good guys."
  10. "Oh, yes, I keep forgetting. I'll have to show you some of that stuff sooner or later. When we're not off saving the galaxy. But I can see what's so scary about these things.. they used to be people, right?" At that moment, Emily saw an opening. The creature she'd been fighting missed with its punch and left its flank open. She jammed her force cannon at the thing's side and fired. The drone was blew back with such force that it was literally torn apart, falliung to the ground, dead. "Now that's more like it!"
  11. Once again, Mechanized shoots at the drone not in melee, taking 10 and using Accurate Attack
  12. It's up to me again, right? With the monster neutralized, Trailblazer will teleport behind Miss N and attack her this time, still with the sword. 1d20+9=23
  13. I'm going to post tomorrow morning, I'm off to sleep in moments.
  14. I'm brewing a sub-plot with Blue Rose about this adventure. Basically, Nano Angel and Wayward start picking up each other's thoughts and don't seem to be able to stop it.
  15. Emily cringed as the needleship breached the Aphelion's hull, deploying its deadly payload. Then she set her eyes for the first time on the infamous Communion. What she saw was extremely disturbing, the empty eyes of the drones staring at them from their metal coated sockets. "Holy.... what are these things?" she screamed out as the drones sprung forward to attack, then she regained her senses and took careful aim at the only one still not engaged in melee. Her force cannon fired, but its beam was harmlessly absorbed by the target. "Wonderful... A cross between Terminator and the Borgs. Keep shooting!" she ordered, more to herself than to the others, considering Memorial was the only one who could understand.
  16. OK then. It makes sense. But I'm going to get rid of that void suit malus as soon as possible... It's a DC19 check, then?
  17. Mechanized takes 10 and shoots at one of the communion drones with her Force Cannon. 10+8=18
  18. "Nowhere specific, unless there's somewhere far off you want to emerge at on the other side. We could reach everywhere in the world with ease, I only need to find the right path," Angie replied, "Now that I think about it, it's a wonderful way to escape curfew... you want to spend a night in Vegas? A morning in London? Just ask Angie!" She giggled, "I bet I could make a bunch of money out of it. 'Angeline Ross, Travel Agent. One hundred bucks for a trip through fairyland!"
  19. Boldly Going Where No Man Has Gone Before by Thevshi >Mechanized - PL10 Mechanized's complications block is a little empty, so I'm adding the following three: "It's not impossible, it's necessary": Emily is constantly out to test her limits and pit her skill and smarts against the hardest of challenges, seeing every problem as a puzzle to overcome using her ingenuity and refining her skill in the process. New things excite her to no end and she finds it hard to back away from an intellectual challenge. Look at me, Daddy! Emily's greatest weakness is probably her inability to get past her father's initial rejection. While their relationship eased out somehow, she still feels she needs to prove him her worth, by any mean necessary. Whenever possible, she will try to please him and make him proud of her efforts. Volatile Power Generator: Emily's MCP is powered by a small but very powerful reactor that could become extremely unstable and explode should her suit take heavy damage. She's currently working on a way to swap it out for a safer power generator, possibly one of extraterrestrial origin. Also, I'm spending 1 PP in skills to reflect her first steps in space, and add the following: Skills: 4 Ranks = 1PP Languages 2 (Galstandard, Lor) Knowledge (Galactic) 2 (+11) I think she won't be able to speak Galstandard and Lor until after her current Incursion thread, but then she should be able to pick it up easily in between threads considering her mutant enhanced intelligence. I've seen Interstellar yesterday, and I couldn't help but quote one of the most badass lines from the movie...
  20. Mechanized (6) >Incursion: Opportunists and Opposition Nano Angel (2) >Full Throttle (1) >Incursion: Mind over Matter (1) Trailblazer (1) >Babe in the Woods -> GMing too. All posts count towards Trailblazer anyway, so there's no need to differentiate them. Depressingly few threads last month. I blame it on festivities.
  21. Weirdest battlecry ever. I might keep it.
  22. Angie rolled her eyes looking at the silliness of it all, and couldn't help but start laughing at the Nutritionist's rant. Then came the monster and she didn't laugh anymore. Really, how much weirder was this going to get? A cauliflower monster? It was so wrong it was creepy... It was like some kind of... abomination from the depths or something. "Thanks for the advice, Nutriwhatever. Eat veggies, stay healthy, I'll keep that in mind," Angie smirked, then teleported right behind the monster and summoned her magic blade, striking at it. "I'll make a salad out of you!"
