  1. "Ouch! That can't be good," Emily said when the ship suddenly rocked, then she catched the flash from beyond the door. It might have been nothing, but there could be a fight going on. "Did you see that?" Mechanized cautiously walked close to the door. There was a control panel, and when she touched it the door slid open revealing a short corridor and another door. "Memorial, stay behind me; I'll open the airlock and take a look," she said, walking inside, a hand on the inner control panel, ready to activate it.
  2. Can Mechanized operate the airlock with her suit?
  3. When the cargo bay doors opened, Mechanized stared into space, only a tiny layer of fabric protecting her from the lethal grip of the void. "OK, Emily, you can do this. Just aim the jump pack and... here we go!" The jet engines on her armor's back flared to life, and Mechanized found herself flying, spinning towards the open cargo hold on the other side as the Aphelion's hull closed in at amazing speed. Never, ever, ever again! she thought, and a moment later she landed on the floor of the Aphelion's cargo hold. I made it, I'm across! She pulled herself together, fighting back a wave of nausea; her heart slowing down as she took in the reality she had made the crossing safely. "Mechanized here; I crossed and I'm OK. Everything good, Memorial?" she asked over the comm.

  5. OK, I think we have all the people we need. Double checking characters: EternalPhoenix: Terrifica (PL10) Blue Rose: Kit (PL9/10) HG Morrison: Foreshadow (PL10) TheAbsurdist: I'd suggest Asad for PL reasons, plus the current roster could use a heavy hitter.
  6. Really, where does this Glamazon girl come from? An action flick? "OK, Waterfront it is then. I'm not coming without my armor, fortunately it lets me make really long leaps, so I should be able to keep up with you... I hope. Just give me a minute to get it up and running." Mechanized walked over to the large black frame of her armor, then squeezed in. Moments later, the hulking machine came to life, lights flicking across the HUD as Emily checked the systems. "Everything's OK. Let's go," she said, and her jump pack flared to life propelling her high in the sky.
  7. Not sure if I have to use the unmodified Fortitude for Mochanized here, or the one modified by the suit. Rolled a 14. With an unmodified Fort of +0 and a suit modified one of +10. Also, what do I have to roll to see if I can jump to the cargo hold?
  8. Unfortunately, I can't. Trailblazer can't bring people along in her short range teleport jumps. If she knew where the car is going, she could bring everyone there by guiding them through the spirit world.
  9. I'm waiting for Corona to drop me on the Aphelion if possible. As Galvanic said IC, it should be possible to land the Nomad, or at least Mechanized, into one of the Aphelion's cargo holds.
  10. Hi! I want to share a story site I'm a big fan of. The Whateley Academy is a "mutant high school" setting laced with some Lovecraft-light content, and lots of LGBT characters. The main story arc, consisting of almost ten years of canon stories, follows a group of young mutants brought together by the fact they're transgender and they're strangely powerful, as they struggle to navigate high school. The setting developed beyond the initial characters, though, and now there's stories about many secondary characters as well as a wealth of fanfiction. Link here
  11. Emily felt like a child in a toy store, and had to keep herself from being distracted by all the tech goodies. "OK, so we have a supervillain with an unknown powers extent, a gang of very loyal followers, a teleporter, and a powerhouse type with brains. An extremely dangerous combination. I can help with Monument, give him a matching opponent while people with more mobility take care of the others. How exactly do we plan to track these guys down? And is there a way to take them on one at a time?"

  14. TheAbsurdist, considering which characters the others are putting forward this will be a PL10 adventure. You sure you want Errant there? Wayward is very public, and this might make a mess of this adventure. It's an AEGIS staged operation that needs at least a modicum of secrecy. I suppose AEGIS has the power to deny the press the right to film but then the haracter would lose lot of its charm. Elite, on the other hand, might be a good character here. And the psionic ability is a plus, but not completely needed.

  16. "Help with boarders. 'Kay, I was about to suggest it too. But I'll need someone to warn the Aphelion crew I'm coming, or they'll think I'm an enemy. Once on board I'll have no way to communicate with the crew. The pirates - well, if they can't understand the meaning of 'heavy armor, gun pointing your way' they're in the wrong line of work." Emily finished donning her spacesuit, then sqeezed herself inside the armor. Her voice crackled through the sheep's intercom. "Computer, boot everything. Weapons... Servos... Jump pack... All green. I'm ready, girls. You might want to find a way to drop me off as close to the Aphelion as possible. Somewhere with gravity would be appreciated."
  17. I'd rather spend that hero point to power stunt with the jump pack using it as a thruster and gaining Flight 5
  18. Can I make checks with the Inventor feat to: 1) adapt the spacesuit to my armor to reduce penalties? 2) secure magnetic clamps to the armor feet?
  19. sweet as for language, while it strips Mechanized of her Knowledge: tactics as far as Galvanic is concerned, I doubt it's going to matter when we engage the pirates. girl with heavy armor pointing a gun in your direction is universal enough
  20. Just to say it: Since nobody said anything about it IC, I'm assuming Emily was given a generic and watered down version of what's going on on the frontline, and she doesn't know the Communion actually blew a planet up. Tell me if I'm wrong, though.
  21. Emily curiously studied the blue woman, trying to guess what she could do. Judging by her codename, something that had to do with electricity. Communicating was difficult, but Memorial had been as helpful as possible. "Pleased to meet you, Galvanic. Memorial mentioned Corona might have some translators at hand for us, so we can communicate better. I have a powerful combat armor, so I guess I will be the muscle of the group," she said, waiting for Memorial to translate. When Corona's voice announced they'd arrived, she hastily shut down the laptop and stood up. "I'm going back to the storage to get the armor ready. I just hope I won't have to fight outside, because I didn't have time to make it void proof." Waving a goodbye at the two women she walked back to the storage, where her ever faithful pet drone watched over her suit. "HAL, help me get the suit ready, we're going in," she said, picking up one of the suit's arms and resting it across her shoulder. HAL gave her a concerned string of bleeps. "No, HAL, we as in the others and me. I'm not bringing you into combat, you're not outfitted for it. Maybe one day I'll modify you into a combat drone and you can come along, but not today."
  22. Emily studied the man's hologram in detail, and couldn't help to feel a bit in awe. "Taking down a superhero is no easy feat. And it looks like he could have some nasty tricks up that suit's sleeves. Does he have any power beyond what his suit gives him? And what can you tell us about this gang of his? Any piece of intel that can give us an edge against them is precious. Associates, presumed bases of operation, M. O, available resources... But I guess we'll get a better briefing wherever we're heading now, right?"
  23. Hey, it's fluff so it's nice! Emily is going to take 10, she knows she's likely better than her opponent and she'll hold back. Besides, it's a friendly game. Knowledge (Tactics): 10+15=25
