  1. A deep breath was all Warren could manage while he waited in his limo to pull up. He was not very good at big events like this. Put him on a stage, a band and an audience and he would be in his element. Give him reporters, people more deserving of awards than he felt and upper class socialites that a few years back would not have given him a minute of their time and you found one lost rocker. Keep calm man. At least they aren't demon possessed Norwegian Pop Stars. He thought while he dusted off some stray dirt from the leave of his coat. He was dressed like he was about to fight crime like he did, sans the domino mask. It was not like it would do much to hide his face here tonight. Hearing the faint sound of the car tires slowing and the roar of chatter outside the windows, Riff slung his guitar over his back and opened the door. He pushed back the nerves and quietly told himself to worry about what he was doing when he got back to his apartment. "Hello Freedom City!"
  2. Huh, for a big guy hes quite sneaky. Riff though the moment he opened his eyes and found that Cobalt Templar was curiously absent. Words left him as he saw Titan rip the door from its hinges and walked right inside. Somehow he got the feeling this was his first day. Signing and rubbing the temples of his head, the Genius Guitarist floated along after the Man of Metal. As he entered, Riff started to observe his surroundings. He tried his best to note what the hell their mad scientist had written. He was curious as to how this mans plans went horribly, horribly wrong.
  3. Well here they were. In front of the home of the man responsible for this mess. "I'll check for anything out of the ordinary." Riff said as he closed his eyes. He focused his superhuman hearing as he checked the rather shabby house before them. Lets see....Electricity seems to be flowing. Can't tell if its anything out of the ordinary and... "Uhh. Guys? I think I hear crying inside. I think its the guy we are after." Suddenly previous theories as to before were starting to change rapidly from completely planned to something a bit more tragic. And possibly idiotic. He thought grimly.
  4. Riff uses Notice to check ahead! He gets another 22. That number keeps showing up
  5. "Would have to be time travel after all." Warren concluded. "That many changes requires several alterations rather than one singular one. Plus the early introduction of technologies is usually a sign that someone has been screwing around with time anyway." Theories as to why such changes would be made were starting to form in his mind. But he would not know until they found him and got the world reverted to its original form. Gazing at the board, he ripped off the picture of the scientist that brought them along into this mess. They might need it. "I can fly on my own. But I'm gonna guess you can get us around faster than me though." Riff said.
  6. Riffs Rolls Gather Info: 12 Current Events: 22
  7. "Wait-". He did not get to finish as he shielded his eyes from the light. It offered him little protection as the world seemed to fade away, replaced by something altogether different. He opened his eyes and lowered his arms. Taking a moment to observe his environment, the guitarist quickly came to a conclusion. "Going from the T.V, the house being redecorated and the parade going on just outside, we seem to be in an alternate version of Freedom City. Not sure if the result is due to dimensional transportation or temporal intervention by the Einstein knockoff and his goons." The guitarist rambled on with a shrug. "We should find them and get things sorted out quickly. We probably don't want to meet those guys." He continued, pointing at the TV.
  8. Riff groaned as his blast simply went through the phantasm. "Aw, come on!" In hindsight, crazy person accusing softball of imperialism would have been a tip off that something was wrong. Though that said, the guitarist did not have much time to react to everything happening around him when he found himself in the suburbs feeling a little dazed. "Teleporting..Not a fan of it." It took him a moment to collect his wits as he tried to work out what had just happened. He took Titans hand and shook it, once again noting how small he was compared to everyone around him. "Names Riff. Nice to meet you." He said with a grin. "Nice to see you again Templar." Warren said with a nod. "Unless they have some other tricks up their sleeve, I should be able to hear them coming so hopefully no unwanted surprises." Unlike what had just happened, he noted ruefully.
  9. Riff uses Stun! ...I've been informed in chat I don't need to roll
  10. Warren tossed his garbage into the trash as we made his way out of the stadium. He was a bit surprised that the last people to leave the stadium were, quite frankly, built like pro wrestlers. While he was pretty tall himself, Warren was a stick next to these two. He pushed it out of his mind and picked up the pace, heading for the parking lot... And seeing the sight a screaming man with the resemblance to a lumberjack strapped with an ungodly amount of explosives. Riff quickly ducked behind a nearby car and cracked open his guitar case. He slipped on his coat, gloves and mask before pulling out his Instrument. He launched himself into the air, landed on the roof of a nearby car. Which was the moment he was greeting with the sight of a man made of steel and a giant glowing blue and maroon robot. "...Well, I was gonna say something witty. But screw it." The Guitar Genius said as he hit the power switch on his instrument and sent forth a shockwave of sound towards the wannabe suicide bomber. He made sure to twist the sound just right to freeze him in place and have either of the Iron Giants grab him. AEGIS will probally want him.

  12. Look like things are picking up. Warren though as he leaned forward, eyes on the field. He kept his baseball cap pulled down and his eyes hidden behind a pair of old sunglasses just to help hide his face in the crowd. While it was rare for the guitarist to watch or care about sports, it was a nice change of pace from being stuck in the studio writing and recording songs. It certainly helped that the proceeds were going to people that needed it. The guitarist leaned back and pushed his sunglasses up. He could have sworn he was slowly getting into what was unfolding, although he could not muster up the same enthusiasm as everyone else. At least all the excitement he was probably gonna see was just going to be confined to the game. He paused as he checked underneath his seat. The familiar black form of his guitar case was still there. You never know. Satisfied that everything was still in place, he took another mouthful of popcorn.
  13. Not sure how they keep mistaking me for Eddie. Warren thought as he heard the some of the store patrons speak. He nodded as he floated a few inches off the floor. "It sounds like you are having a bad day. The police will probably go easy on you." Riff honestly could not think of anything else to say to the woman that would reassure her in any way. With that in mind, he waited for the police to appear.
  14. Riff sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was hoping this was not one of those idiots that were nostalgic for the Hot Zone incident. "Well...For starters." Riff began as he kept his eye on the older womans weapon. "You ran into a place filled with people with a loaded, LIVE weapon, took them hostage, threatened them and then started making demands that are unrealistic and kinda...you know, insane." He took a moment to let that sink in. "Now think. Does that sound like the sort of person that should be running around with superpowers?"

  16. Riff rolls for Diplomacy! Even though he has no skill in that area. I should correct that at some point... Roll: 1D20+4=16!
  17. Riff was floating high above, mind in deep thought as his mind went over the material for his next album in his mind. He snapped back to reality when the gunshot rang out, loud and clear to his superhearing along with the demands of the gun woman. He took a deep breath as he felt his sound barrier surround him just as he felt himself plummet to the ground. He came to a sudden stopped and landed. Riff peered into the store, quickly noting. He approached cautiously, guitar at the ready as the automatic doors opened. "Normally in these sorts of situations I hear "Put the money in the bag" not "Grab hostages and demand the Government give me superpowers." The Guitar Genius said with a little levity as his voice. That vanished as he continued. "Seriously though. Put the gun down before you do something that you are really going to regret."
  18. Assuming there are still spots open for this. I shall volunteer Riff for his comeback...Er, again
  19. Riff watched on as the demon was dragged back to hell, bereft of it's prize as it would no doubt meet it's end. The guitarist was getting close to feeling sorry, until he remembered that there were other victims of this demons influence and the fact it was apparently quiet evil. Those sorry feelings faded along with the smell of brimstone in the air. "Looks like it man." Warren Said to Arnold as he looked at the burnt remains on the floor. "Quick thinking there." He said to pitch as he hung his guitar over his back. "Demon-Like extradimentional entity was causing havoc in the theater and influencing the minds of others. We managed to kick it back to where it came from." Even with the strangeness of FCPD had to deal with, he did have doubts they would believe demons were involved.in this incident.
  20. Feel free to move forward without Riff. He really has no idea what to do when it comes to demons beyond hitting them.
  21. Warren sighed as his sound barrier fell, letting a whining sound echo through the opera. He cracked his stiff fingers as he overlooked the scene. Things went better than I expected. Considering the hellfire and all that. The guitarist thought. He looked down at Pitch. "I'm on it. You try and figure out how to crack Mary out from that chain in the meantime. Demon pianos are not my area of expertise." Riff said as he he slung his guitar over his shoulder and went flying off backstage. Sure she was an idiot to make a deal with a devil. But he didn't like the idea of someone suffering eternal damnation.
  22. "I highly doubt the from high part." Riff said as he strummed his guitar once again and sent more waves of sound right into the face of the demon. He was not liking the signs of decay around the monster. It seemed to be just as vunrable to damage as the next creature of the month. He was hoping that only a little decay was all that was it could cause. If not. Well, Warren was not looking forward to the repair bill.
