  1. I've a feeling more than a few folks are busy with schoolin' about now ;)
  2. We tend not to look at characters until there's a background/history and description of them, justification for the stats (like her incredibly high mental ability scores). Those make the character a character, and not just a bunch of numbers A few pointers, though: * With an Attack, Defense, Toughness, and damage-dealing ability all of 0, she's going to be in for a world of hurt when she gets into any sort of combat. Especially if she's not at all the stealthy type. * With Benefit 7 (Wealth 7), she'll be one of the richest people on the planet. * With Security System 6 on her HQ, that'll be a DC 45 Disable Device check to break in. That's... very high. Though, being an old castle (I'd presume), I'm guessing there'd be enough cracks and holes and whatnot for liquid- or gaseous-form beings to enter (not to mention energy beings, truly incorporeal critters, and teleporters). Complications are valid, I'd say: one's a form of racism, one's a form of extreme pride.
  3. In case y'all have not yet seen, Heritage has officially left, leaving us Gossamer-less.
  4. In case y'all have not yet seen, Heritage has officially left, leaving us Grim-less. Oh, and Shadowboxer, I still need that Will save for Nightrival, please.
  5. In case y'all have not yet seen, Heritage has officially left, leaving us Grim/Lenny/Whisper-less.
  6. To quote a certain Sith Lord, NOOOOOO! It's been great fun gaming with you, with both Grim and Gossamer (now who will Doc ask to the ball?!). While it's sad to hear that some aspects of your creativity has waned, it's very good to hear that it's swelled in other aspects. I wish you the very best in your writings, and please do let us know when you get published!
  7. Thank you for providing the longer version, Barnum. Hope all's well with you.
  8. The chandelier cracks the kickboxer on the head, but he swiftly shakes it off. "You a quiet one, eh? Me t'ink me can change dat!" He started doing a bit of fancy footwork, ducking and weaving, left and right, until suddenly his right leg flashed up and struck Ghost in the ribs. The tall man in black kept watching, still unmoving. You should know you cannot possibly get out of here in one piece, much less with any of the Calf's money. Surrender now, tell us who your accomplices are -- along with whatever else we want to know from you -- and you'll probably get out of this without any major breaks to your bones. Belphegor willed his internal fires back up*, and shoved the Rich Texan aside so he could face the leader eye-to-eye. Pity he's such a glutton, I'd like to be able to toss him at these guys. Maybe I should hit the gym more often. Rather than attack, though, he leaped up and to his left, propelled by a few wingflaps to come to rest atop a row of slot machines about 30 feet away. "You may want to stop and listen to the Mistress, mortal," he hissed. "I'm sure you could get away with explaining a few dead patrons, but all of them?" [[ That is, reactivated the "Infernal Internal Combustion" slot in his array, so now he's got his Impervious Toughness 6 and Penetrating 5 Incurable claws back. ]]
  9. Ghost has 1 Bruise. Kickboxing Jamaican Man has 1 Bruise. 2 of Capricia's 4 Thugs are KOd. Everyone else is unharmed.
  10. *releases cricket poison* Short of it, when Barnum learned that Endless Flight (former owner of the site, now more a behind-the-scenes tech guy) was looking to transfer ownership of the site to another, she took down the themes she had made. She had made those themes specifically for EF and offered them specifically to him; if EF wouldn't be here, the themes she'd made for him wouldn't be here, either. The themes went because Endless Flight left, not because Barnum herself left.
  11. Personal Daemonic Agent ("daemon" refers to "supernatural beings between mortals and gods, such as inferior divinities and ghosts of dead heroes")?
  12. Added Ember Paw, Shade, and the Spartan. We're now at 18 Active PC Heroes vs. 9 Active PC Villains.
  13. To paraphrase a sidebar Kenson wrote in Silver Age Sentinels, normal humans can have stats higher than 25 when "maximum human potential/peak of human achievement" is defined as the greatest achievement possible using currently living humans as the standard. Humans of today may have a 'cap' of 25, but humans from 480 BC may have a higher cap. Anyway, character looks good to me. APPROVED.
  14. The doktor smiled and chuckled (and for a split-second Eric could swear the youthful Archeville looked like Kris Kringle), "I would hope you'd not miss your vedding -- love und family are very, very important. You heard vhat forgoing dem did to Kohout!" He paused to take a sip of tea, "shall ve say... dis Friday, de 23rd? 10:00am?" As soon as Eric made any indication indicating that that would be a good time, Archeville rose, taking his food and drink with him. "I am sorry to cut dis so short, Herr Micheals, but mein own time is not entirely as free as yours." He gestured towards several groups of people who all waved him over, then bent low to Eric and spoke in a hushed tone, "to paraphrase von of your Presidents, 'if you vould haff peace, avoid popularity'. I look forvard to seeink you on Friday!" He turned and gave a nod to Carrie and John... ... and then he was off. "Ah, Doktor Blank, Doktor Price! So good to see you two again! So, vhat haff Freedom's top two herpetologists been up to lately? Is vhat I heard about you two consulting for dat movie from a couple of years ago true?" After another 15, 20 minutes of "talking shop" with assorted scientists at the reception -- and avoiding the Terraynes -- Archeville made his way to a small table where the unusually tall man he'd noted earlier was seated. ">" he said in German, ">"
  15. I agree 110% with Heridfel, proofreaders are something I could not do without! And congrats to Herid for getting his name in something done by Green Ronin!
  16. ArcheTech Special Report: An Assortment of Armor is now available at RPGnow! :)
  17. “'Life-changing,' Herr Micheals? Vell, I don't believe anyone's ever said dat about any of mein lectures before -- danke!" Smiling, Archeville sat down next to Eric. He briefly turned to Carrie and John, “Hello, hello. Enjoyink de evenink, ja? Er, pardon me von moment." He then turned back to Eric, “Herr Micheals, I am very pleased you haff come ere: I haff been meanink to talk mit you for some time. You are involved mit Dart, Incorporated, a veapons manufacturer, ja? De owner, technically speaking, though you prefer to verk in R&D rather dan de boardroom, if I recall de articles on you in Forbes und Fortune correctly." He leaned in a bit closer, “I'd do exactly de same if I vere you!," then leaned back out. “Dere are some business matters I vished to discuss mit you, but not here und now; I prefer to do all business duties before supper. When vould be a good time for you?"
  18. This bit here: It detached while he was asleep. Reattached while he was "freaked out." Doing odd jobs without his direct, conscious control. Took him a month to learn how to consciously control it.
  19. Summon does seem like what you should be using. Especially since it sounds like it has a mind of its own (detaching and doing stuff while he's asleep). Summon 12 (PF: Mental Link) or Summon 8 (Extra: Fanatical; PF: Mental Link) and a Complication (or at most a 1pp Drawback) that you ave one hand while the Summon is active. A hand would be Diminutive -- Tiny is the size of an adult housecat, quite a bit bigger than one human hand Also, Enemy isn't a Drawback, it's a Complication. Speed does not modify your Base Speed the way you show. Nothing in the Core book says anything about Speed increasing your Base Speed, it just gives you a new ground speed; ULTIMATE POWER says Speed 1 (10 mph) gives you a speed of about 100 feet per round.
  20. The Refs are working on calculating the monthly pp awards, and we should have them out to y'all soon. As always, once the PMs are sent, if you have questions or problems, post in this thread or PM the Ref who sent you your award.
  21. I'm not sure, the Refs'll need to talk it over. Besides, "little orbs" sounds more like Minions or Sidekicks. Speaking of Refs talking things over, we're still discussing the Dimensional Movement variant I'd suggested. We'll try and let you know something soon.
