  1. Sorry, I must've looked at an older sheet.
  2. Would a GM ever negate his own fiat? Is that like asking if God could microwave a burrito so hot that He could not eat it? (I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.)
  3. A poor roll, but perhaps good enough: Notice check w/ +2 synergy bonus (1d20+12 = 17) I personally would like to see Dryad back in action, but it's totally up to you, nareik. We would sorta need to know just what did happen to her if she slipped away and is no longer with the gang, though. Hiding somewhere? Escaping on her own? Spirited away by some third party?
  4. Hrm, seems I was more obtuse than I'd thought. By "served as a drug den (for things harder than plain marijuana)" I did indeed mean some of the harder, super-drugs like Max or Zoom or Zombie or something equally nasty.
  5. The Immunity's going to cost 1/2 a pp... which puts you at 20.5pp. What's this? A shield? Please be sure to put the name of what your device in with the stat. So something like Device 2 (armor, hard to lose, 10 points) or Device 6 (sword, easy to lose, 30 points). Yes. Which is to say, all the Minions in one 'group' are the same, but you can have more than one group. So, for example, you could have Minions 10 (1 90pp Minion [6], and 10 15pp Minions [4]). All the 15pp Minions would be the same, as far as stats go, but the 90pp one could be completely different. Or, you could have Minions 10 (10 30pp Minions [5] and 10 30pp Minions [5]). The first group of 10 Minions would all have the same set of stats (say, all pirates), and the other set of 10 would all have their own same set of stats (say, all ninja), but the two groups can be completely different from one another.
  6. Belphegor used Extra Effort to stunt Enhanced Charisma 2 (to 16/+3), Enhanced Feats 1 (Attractive; Bluff +9/+13, Diplomacy +3/+7), Morph 6 (one form, +30 to Disguise; +33 total), and Strike 2 (retractable claws; PFs: Mighty, Subtle) off his Demonic Attacks 7 array. 'She' looks like a young Sophie Marceau. Even fatigued from the extra effort, though, he'd still be able to handle 3 Bystanders with little problem -- +5 attack, Str 18/+4, Claws +6; +5 defense, Toughness +6, Dex 12/+1. And by the time he wakes up the next morning, the fatigue'll be gone.
  7. Belphegor flew back from 'the Arena' to Riverside, but not back to Terhune's apartment. Instead, he wheeled around and over the Freedom School of the Arts, then headed a few blocks northeast, to a two-story home located on the corner of two side-streets. "Ah, nothing like a crossroads." He circled the building a few times, sizing up the entry points and activity level. It was late, well past midnight, but one dim light shone out from a second floor window. Swooping down, he landed as gently as he could on the roof, and crept down so he could peer in through the window. Oh, I do hope it's a nubile young woman! It was not. It was a young man, high school age, and very much the 'dark brooding outsider'. The room was plastered with metal and punk band posters, occult artwork, and pinups; the carpet was riddled with burns and ashes from cigarettes and incense; the windows had small sheets of red plastic taped over them. The light Belphegor saw came from numerous candles as well as a fairly large computer monitor. The teen, in black boots, jeans, and a torn tee, was at the computer, clicking on random dark and brooding loner websites. Right, well, not my first choice, but I can still work with this. But I don't want to just break in, I do plan to be using this place. Ah, I've got it! Well, assuming that nameless sorcerer was right about me being able to do anything any demon can do.... The demon pushed off the roof and flew gently down to the back yard, landing in a crouch. His wings spread wide and then draped over him, seeming to meld into a seamless lump of demonic flesh lit from within by hellish fires. Moments later the demon-ball warped and twisted, compacted, and refined itself into a very different form. He was now a very attractive woman with long brunette hair and piercing green eyes, wearing nothing but scarlet lingerie. 'She' looked herself over, looking at herself from this angle and that, feeling the newly sculpted flesh, free of scales, free of wings, free of any major blemishes. "Hrm, not bad, not ba- ooh, that's a nice voice!" 'she' said in a very sultry tone. "Now to- whoah... head rush..." 'She' stumbled a bit, and leaned against the house for a moment. After a few deep breaths, 'she' picked up a few pebbles and flung them at the teen's window. After a few the teen finally came to the window, and even from this distance 'she' could see his eyes almost bug out of his head. 'She' pointed around to the back of the house, then made pleading gestures, mouthing "let me in" to him. Very soon the back porch door was open. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" 'she' cried, running to him with such force as to push him back into the house, into a small kitchen, then clung to him. Almost the exact same words ran through the teen's head. "Quick, please, shut the door, before they see me!" "Who? Whoah, whoah, hold on now-" "No, please, close the door, those men will find me!" 'She' moved as if to cower behind him, away from the door. "Please!" "Okay, okay, settle down, it's alright," the teen said, closing the door. Hot damn! "What's going on? What men? Muggers?" "Yes, yes, muggers, beastly men, they stole my purse and jewelry, then tore off my dress and said they would... would... oh!" 'She' fell to the linoleum floor, breathing hard, almost curled to a fetal position. "Alright, okay, you're safe now, we'll just call the cops. Mom!," he called out, "Mom! Grampa! Wake up!" Jos Terhune woke up in his apartment at around 11am, quite a bit later than he'd intended. He took a hurried shower, went to grab a bite to eat -- then realized he wasn't at all hungry -- then set about making a few phone calls. He wouldn't be able to make all the calls he'd hoped before his noon appointment with Sirius, but he would be able to honestly say he did put in some calls. (The worse thing a devil can do is tell the truth.) 8. Indeed I did, but I also mentioned 3 other areas Fix the formatting, and put the latest/final version into the very first post of this thread, and I'll give it one final look.
  9. One last question: where is her mansion? It should be something she can easily reach from Freedom City, and lacking any inherent movement abilities, it's probably not one of the ancestral homes in Hungary.
  10. Not presumptuous at all -- we like it when players take the initiative! :)
  11. You really should spend those 2 unspent equipment points on something. Plus, Refs tend to not like it when folks have unspent points, for fear of them doing the "hey, I should have this, right?" in the middle of a game. Surely in her 400 years of life she's picked up some stuff, for her home if not for herself.
  12. First off, let me 'officially' welcome you to the board Please feel free to introduce yourself in the "Secret Identities" thread (see my .sig for link). First question about your character: do you want him to be PL 6 or PL 10?
  13. Aside from editing it to fit into the board's guidelines (like putting the pp cost for each category [skills, feats, etc.]), listing things alphabetically, a DC block for her powers, and so on), there is one more thing: Is the ritual knife the same as a dagger? What's the Toughness of her mansion HQ?
  14. True to an extent. On the flip side, anyone who's been active as a superhero/villain for much length of time is going to -- simply by being exposed to combat -- pick up at least some basics of combat techniques. Even if the person has, say, nothing but Perception-range mental effects. Also, I really don't think Lilith Bathory's environment could at all be described as "non-violent" ;)
  15. Ah, I must've missed that. Sorry. One would think that, yeah. Especially since she can't always rely on her mind control.
  16. Re-added Lullaby & Dryad (unarchived per player request). 19 Active PC Heroes vs. 9 Active PC Villains.
  17. I think the cost may still be off, though, since flawing it it to Touch range is a 2-step flaw. The power as-written costs 17pp (though the Side Effect should have a value of 27pp -- I believe the value of the Side Effect should be calculated as equal tot he cost of the power without the Side Effect flaw, though I may be mistaken). Also, you still haven't answered my question about the "Accurate 5 and no other Attack bonus" part.
  18. I'm still unsure about this. Sight-Dependent is an invalid flaw -- it only applies to Perception-range effects. But, reducing the range to Touch is a 2-step flaw (Perception to Ranged, Ranged to Touch), so the cost actually works out the same. The Accurate 5 (and no BAB) is what's bothering me, though. Please explain, from a in-character perspective, how her touch-range mind control is so accurate (but still requires her to touch the victim and isn't Perception-range), but she's so poor/unskilled in any form of combat that she only has a 50/50 chance of slapping or striking some insolent Bystander. Also, for the Unreliable, it's the "5 uses at a time" version? If so, the time to recharge is suggested as 1 hour (in her case, probably by taking a nice long soak in a tub).
  19. Welcome back! I'm guessing you'll be wanting Dryad and Lullaby un-archived?
  20. Comprehend is, I would say, a case where reducing the Action or Duration would be a Drawback, not a Flaw. As for Alternate Powers with Alternate Powers -- do you mean a "Nested Array," such as: Power 12 (24pp; PF: 2 APs) [cost] * AP 1: Power 11 (22pp; PF: 2 APs) ** AP 1a: Power 10 (20pp; PF: 2 APs) *** AP 1ai: Power 10 (20pp) *** AP 1aii: Power 10 (20pp) ** AP 1b: Power 10 (20pp; PF: 2 APs) *** AP 1bi: Power 10 (20pp) *** AP 1bii: Power 10 (20pp) * AP 2: Power 11 (22pp; PF: 2 APs) ** AP 2a: Power 10 (20pp; PF: 2 APs) *** AP 2ai: Power 10 (20pp) *** AP 2aii: Power 10 (20pp) ** AP 2b: Power 10 (20pp; PF: 2 APs) *** AP 2bi: Power 10 (20pp) *** AP 2bii: Power 10 (20pp) If that is what you mean, then no. No, we will not allow that.
  21. Please shoot them to her in the Campaign Discussion forum ;)
  22. Added Ionica. Re-added High Note (unarchived at player request) Removed Captain Wonder (archived due to player departure) 18 Active PC Heroes vs. 8 Active PC Villains.
  23. Yeah, I can start it. (I may even tie it to the thing I'm running for Nightrival now.) Nightrival & Hub vs. .... someone(s) Then Arrowhawk, Red Star, Shade, and the Spartan join in. Alright, this'll be taking place in Hanover. Maybe Arrowhawk was at HIT seeing a professor or student for some consultation on new trick arrows; maybe Red Star was at an autograph signing or something. Shade and Spartan could have just been touring the area. Forceful Ops (IC thread) Forceful Ops (OOC thread) Oh, Shadowboxer, would you mind placing a link to Nightrival's char sheet in your .sig?
