  1. La Puma Negra And so, Carmen began to lead the group like Moses had in the bible. Although Carmen had little to no clue what she was fully doing, unlike Moses, she wouldn't take them anywhere at all close to forty years to get them to where they needed to go. There'd be no wandering the desert here, "Of course, yea of course I am, I can do this all day," Carmen would boast about herself, even if it was very likely untrue that she could do such a thing with any form of skill. All she had was natural talent for things like jungles and forest, not barren hellscapes rock and hot sun that seemed to want to cook her alive. Of course, soon enough she wouldn't be the one to be running the show with Bernadette taking the reins and allowing Carmen to just follow along. Let someone else that seemed to know what they were doing get them to their destination and instead of her. With her hands behind her head, she'd stroll towards the back of the group, keeping up as not to dawdle for too long. She'd occasionally make her way back up, interjecting at times to give a feel that she knew where to sort of go, but it was plain to see that she was coasting off things. It was at their destination that she'd quickly drop her backpack down, heavy and full of everything one would need for such a trip (or think would need in Carmen's case), slowly pitching her tent as the wind began to pick up and the light slowly fading.
  2. La Puma Negra Carmen stood with an upset look upon her face, biting her lip as she was slowly growing indecisive with each passing second. Could she act, of course she very well could, but she wasn't rather sure if that would be the best when timeline's an all that were on the line. There was already too much on her mind as she looked over towards Archer and Gato, trying to work her way out through the steps once more for what she was trying to do. It was at this moment there was a sort of panic starting to set in, unable to deal with the weight of what was going on, if they were just to go out and fight. This wasn't some alternate world created by Quirk. It was the real deal, the real world that they all knew but thrown back several ears straight into the past. Even if she had only a limited amount of time with him, she wished Michael was there, someone she could confide in at the least, "Damn it," she spoke with claws pushing into the palms of her hands.
  3. Even with her relatively high initiative, Puma is going to hold until someone in the group sort of pushes forward. She ain't much of a leader, even if she's a bit more headstrong.
  4. La Puma Negra As Iris communicated through the metal space of the mind, Puma was not rather happy about it, feeling it as an invasion of her mind, especially with what she was thinking on right now. It was the urge to not fight the entrance into her mind, keeping it relatively calm and pleasant as she allowed such a guest into it. Thoughts could be heard, questions about who Gato was were on her mind, but Puma did enough to suppress it that these thoughts weren't the only ones that could be felt while reaching in partially, attempting to push in thoughts closer to their situation at hand. If this was the Terminus invasion, then they were all in terrible danger. "So what do we do If we can't change the past, then how the heck are we going to do anything? We need to get out of here," she responds mentally, letting anyone that wanted hear her. There was a worry in it.
  5. La Puma Negra Carmen looked over to the rocks. The rocks that looked the same as other rocks but slightly different enough to be a different rock. The top hat was not seen by her, but the uniqueness of the rock was enough to give her some sort of orientation in order to go ahead and make an idea at least of where she was at that moment, "So... that way," she says, pointing towards the wrong way. Carmen would then change the direction of where she was pointing using the compass and what she was so far taught to point at the least in the proper way forward. It wasn't much of a start but it was something for someone that was only now reading a proper made map. "This is it, right?"
  6. La Puma Negra Puma looked over to Michael with a slightly annoyed look. It was so much for their first day as a couple, gritting her teeth as she chose to put some her anger into these interstellar beings that decided that Earth was a nice place to hash their differences here physically was a good idea. So, when Michael looked to her, she was staring beyond him, thinking the quicker they got done with this, the quicker they were to be able to go out together. "Fine, lets help them," she says, crossing her arms. This alien lord, or whatever they were, wasn't going to take away her day. Not like this, not if she had something to do about it, "Let's kick this guy out to the curb."
  7. La Puma Negra "What's going to happen today beyond whatever the heck that was!?" Puma responded back to Starshine. History was probably one of her weaker subjects, that and combined with her not so stellar knowledge of heroics didn't help much at all. Things were getting far more serious now, enough to break her out of her thoughts. Whatever that sound was, it had broken her concentration off of what she was thinking about. Something that she didn't want to think any more about at all as she now brought into something she was only truly realizing right at this very moment. They were stuck in a time that was very much not their own and about to face an event of which she could only assume was utterly brutal.
  8. La Puma Negra Carmen's face was increasingly growing into what appeared to be a stupor, not from any injury or being tired from the rescue that they had done, but the growing sense that whatever they were speaking about was going beyond her attention span, completely disorienting the young heroine as she tried to figure out the combination of interstellar politics, policing, and courtship that was transpiring before her and Michael. At least with him, he seemed to have far more knowledge about other heroes and heroines running around the world and Freedom City than she did, who somewhat played it by ear considering her grades during modern hero class had only now improved to a comfortable B. Carmen was sure that maybe he could explain later after this, better than she could understand it at the moment. So, the cat woman was just there, watching what was happening before her before snapping out slightly when Michael wanted to get Fleur's autograph. She'd rub her forehead as she snapped out of her stupor finally, relaxing her shoulders. Did they even have a pen there for any of them to write on?
  9. La Puma Negra Carmen was looking at the map, trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B, trying to use the information that the doctor was giving her in order to find the whole little part of theirs a route forward. She had never used a compass before in a situation that had called for it, using like a toy more or less when she was really young. Now, as she turned the entire map upside down one or twice before aligning the map correctly for the first time, she'd begin to orient herself now, using whatever sort of landmarks she could find in the terrain or in the forms of old dusty roads that crisscrossed the countryside for miles to see, unobstructed by anything man made in the direction of their destination. "Is this right?" Carmen asks, unsure.
  10. La Puma Negra Carmen was just there in a way, watching and listening. Bernadette's voice bringing her out of the stupor momentarily as she moved with the rest of the group. It was here that her mind was retreating back, going all in on autopilot as she continued on with them. It was all she had to was deal with the current situation at hand, ignore any and all else until she got home and back with Michael once more. If she could do that, she could make it through this current situation. It was something that she could only expect once back in their own time, having a calming effect once she managed to think about it. It was until for a brief moment that eyes made contact with her own. A particularly feline one's that were like her own that she went back into this shell-shocked sort of state. That brief eye contact between Gato and Puma that made things far more difficult for her as she simply stared off, a drift. Responding only if needed and called.
  11. La Puma Negra It was a rather sudden event in which the flames seemed to be extinguish through some sort of power unknown to them. There wasn't anyone new that she could sense. True, the smoke had rendered a good amount of her senses rendered mute, having to rely on much of her other super heightened ones. Thus, began the much easier process of escorting the civilians if she could call them, out of the building. A task which meant that both Michael and her would have to do with a decent amount of effort. Puma would watch as the little girl went back to her mother and father who had managed to be brought to safety as well, staring off towards them for a few moments before the touch of Michael's hand to her own was felt. Sense of smell returning, she could smell the arrival of Fleur, a sort of flowery like smell, and the alien. Then, the scent of another individual that was faintly as well alien to her was there as well and what seemed like some sort of vulpine dog. That would be answered soon enough as it was some sort of fox person in the robotic suit, raising a brow as she kept silent to her newfound boyfriend and his questioning.
  12. La Puma Negra "Be quiet kid... we're almost there," Puma spoke in a strained tone, exerting herself as managed to ascend kick down a door. In her arms was a young girl roughly the age of ten, having had to smash her way through from one room to another to avoid a potential backdraft. The yellows over her outfit were covered with soot, unnoticeable on her black fur as she kept the kids face nestled against her, shielding them from the flames. Sirens could be heard coming quickly, people shouting out orders. The fire department was coming, and the fighting seemed to die down outside. Soon, Puma would see people being escorted down to the floor she was on, calling out to him, "Micheal. Everyone's out, I got the last one here."
  13. La Puma Negra La Puma Negra had cut apart the illusionary version of Neko before suddenly and before she could prepare for it, they were yanked back through time, thrust to where they started in the other room. With little room to prepare herself for such a transition, her senses momentarily overloaded, causing her to stumble right off her feet and on to her hands and knees. This wasn't like the subtle transitions she had gone through before. Instead, this was more like being tossed across a pool and slamming hard into the water in a disorienting mess. Such a shock it was that her nose was bleeding, small droplets coming down upon the floor before she wiped her nose, stumbling back up. "¿Qué tipo de juego es este?" she slurred out, slowly getting back up on to her feet.
  14. La Puma Negra Puma put a finger over her mouth as she looked over towards Rot, motioning away from her as she slowly slinked through the shadows of the warehouse and towards the closest of the men. Whomever they were, they weren't the normal sort of armed guard, triggering her personal sort of danger sense when this sort of thing occurred. Like alligator shoes, La Puma Negra could feel that there was more to this than she believed, leaping forward with a clawed kick as the armed individual stood back up, "Lets talk then!" she growled out with a hiss. Puma surely seemed to be a person of action, not the best sort of negotiator it appeared, not at all. A brutish demeanor that seemed well at home in dealing with direct fighting. Others could talk for her. Her fist and claws just the same.
  15. La Puma Negra Puma had been stalking and waiting to strike this draconic creature, ready to strike from the shadows once she found a good opening. With a big thing like this, she knew well enough to avoid the direct line of attack in a fight, especially when that thing could easily take one of them out without much issue. So, like her namesake, she waited up above before pouncing downward with her claws out and shining in the blaze of color and light that was happening below her, slashing out at the creature the best she could while it seemed like it was on the backfoot. Puma only had one shot at this, likely if she missed being the first thing this dragon decided to make a snack of, or whatever it was exactly. This Ashely girl in her mind wasn't going to be talked to unless she beat some sense into her.
  16. 23 as Carmen leaps from the rafter to attack the Dragon creature, out from the shadows.
  17. 38 For a Stealth Roll. Puma is a woman of action and is going to attack these goons like a true hero of the night. 18 on Puma's roll to hit. She's going for the one that just stood up.
  18. La Puma Negra A voice, a figure, a scent in the air, up upon the stair's railing. Carmen's eyes were drawn to the woman and her distinctive features, as if she was looking in a mirror that she couldn't get away from. It was a trance. It was as if all her current thoughts and energy had been sapped out of her. There was only one sort of thing that was on her mind and yet, as she stood there in a rather aggressive stance from running into the casino, her body was trembling. Clawed fingers twitching as couldn't think forward beyond the point where she was looking at the woman above them on the stair, telling them to take the exit underground. Instead, her mind could only process to that point, hitting the roadblock that was that exact thought. Carmen had run in, scan the area, see the woman, stop. Run in, scan the building with her senses, see the same woman and stopped. It was that same thing again and again and again that it was only her losing her balance that broke her out of this sort of stupor. Carmen's aggression was now gone, tripping partially forward before she caught herself. Replaced with a face that appeared more confused if not terrified.
  19. La Puma Negra Carmen watched as the football flew through the air with a force that could have easily hurt someone that wasn't powered like themselves or at the least someone that couldn't catch it. The young catwoman had been learning more and more about American football, having stop herself in her own mind from confusing what most American's (from what she could tell) knew as soccer with it. For all purposes, it wasn't that hard to differentiate the two, seeing as she was a resident of Puerto Rico and had learned plenty through osmosis. "Wow, that was a nice throw," Carmen spoke, watching as it was flung with a rather nice spiral to it, recalling that he had used to practice a good amount for the sport, "Can he?"
  20. La Puma Negra There was some harmless joy in spooking him a little bit, a side of her that wasn't too usual. Energetic and free, unhindered by the eyes of others, as if alright with herself and now the company that she now currently kept. A new and maybe even improved Carmen for today's world. The young catwoman would smile at the greeting, moving away so she wasn't so uncomfortably close to his face before taking a seat next to him. She seemed to not see the confidence as an issue and was smitten with the bravado, looking out towards the waves that rocked against the beach and its tide, "The island is super nice. A bit of a climb here and there but nice and lush."
  21. La Puma Negra Carmen catches it without any hesitation, as if plucking it out of the air, looking to the small device of plastic and metal, watching the needle point towards the magnetic North. The map, creased and wrinkled slightly, displayed the area and where they needed to go, "Is that it?" she says, looking up to the doctor. Looking around at the mention of landmarks, nothing seemed all that special, or at the least, nothing that seemed besides the rocks like an outright landmark. It was an out of element experience, used to vegetation, vantage points to orient herself than some sort of hot orange colored landscape that was almost surreal to look at "Huh..."
  22. La Puma Negra Eyes's watering, Puma was having a tough time of it as she lifted a beam over a trapped resident. It was the third floor now, gritting her teeth as she lifted it directly off, "Can you walk? Alright, go ahead and go... NOW!!!" Puma let out as she brushed the beam off to the side, having to take a knee for a few moments. Even superhuman endurance couldn't deal with something like smoke inhalation for long, steeling resolve to continue on and press forward. There were paths to be made, people to save. Whatever was happening outside would have to wait for now, only having to hope that Michael was having a better time of things in their current situation. If she wanted to have an actual date with him, she'd have to survive all this, and she wasn't going to give up without a good and proper fight as she shielded her face from rising family. "This floors clear, has to be..." she says before making for the 4th floor. The middle most floor.
