  1. Ok well besides as Chaz has suggested Luke plans to keep Cas far enough from the Worm, so he is not moving close to the portal. Can he use the wing buffet to help slow down the influx of reinforcements maybe if that can be of some aid?
  2. "Not if we have anything to say about that." Nightscale objected with a confident smirk. Although given the horrors that he had seen deep down in that basement he was more than a little worried, sure he was with two veteran heroes, but there were also innocent lives on the line. "The master she is talkin' about I met him, a compete monster, we have to stop him, whatever he is planning.." It was unfortunate that the man had managed to escape them once already. "Not sure these are actually vampires though, he didn't strike me as the supernatural type, more like, messed up science..." He explained as he rushed toward the monster.
  3. Nightscale is going to try and feint as a move action (he has fast feint to avoid the -5) with Skill Mastery on Bluff at 20. After that he is gonna try and punch him with a 15... well... maybe with the feint? If by some miracles he manages to hit, he will grapple with a natural 1 so well... it would still be a 29, but I think it's an autofail?
  4. 18 Tou ... Failed the calculation is also wrong as I used toughness instead of will, so the roll was actually lower. I think he is gonna hero point it. 4... but it becomes 14 that +13 gives 27 (26 if the bruise counts on this) so pass, although not by that much. As far as his action goes, I think he is gonna hold Cas secured in his claws and away from the Worm and the portal. He will try to help though, by trying to prevent as many in the crowd that he can from helping the Worm. He will use his Wing Buffet to do so if he can do that without hitting any of his friends. Trip 9 (Extras: Area [Type: General; Shape: Burst; Size: 45ft]; Knockback, Flaws: Range [Touch])
  5. Luke had been enjoying the game so far, although he was not a good shot as his team-mates and he had been "killed" plenty of time. In truth, while usually the young dragon was a pretty competitive in regard of this king of things, this time he saw their game more as an occasion fool around with his friends without the pressure of actual training or superhero work (plus it was a chance to for some playful teasing with his girl which was definitely a benefit as well). He was sneaking around (although not exactly proficiently so at the time), seeking for his next target, when he heard the crush. "I don't think that a freakin' tank is allowed by the rules..." He muttered, he briefly called for his 'hoard-sense' to check roughly where Muirne was, now he was aware that his girl could defend herself, quite possibly better than he could, but that didn't mean that he would not worry, especially after the whole Casanova thing. Then he darted toward the source of the noise, light on his feet, but still with an healthy dose of urgency, after all, himself and most of his friends were super-heroes after all, but it was unlikely that the staff would have the same advantage...
  6. As it was time to get into the mansion, Luke offered Muirne his arm and a smile. "Shall we...." He teased. "Hey..." Luke protested, albeit with a grin on his lips as Leon mentioned his limited culinary skills. Still, it was a relief to see the tension between his friends going down, although, admittedly, it was likely that a single conversation would solve the issue, it was better than nothing. "We are not the Freedom League... yet..." Luke corrected with a cocky smirk on his lips, while sure, they still were a new team, with young in their name after all, but that didn't mean they couldn't be an ambitious one. "Neat place you got here man..." Luke ruffled the hair on the back of his neck as he inspected the mansion, admittedly he was accustomed to far more humble accommodations than this one. The opulence of the place almost made the Soutshide boy feel a bit uneasy. "One day you're gonna tell me how you make that much dough man..." He added, giving Charlie a playful nudge.
  7. "Now... Guys... Can we agree that you both suck and go separate ways?" Luke teased as he jumped into the action. "No...? Ok... Your choice..." He jumped past the zombies and rushed at Machete Max, now admittedly he didn't like Blowfish particularly more, but one of them were using dark magic to animate the dead the other wasn't so yeah, there was that wasn't it? Plus, Chimera seemed to somehow like or at least tolerate the gangster, for reason that he was gonna have to investigate, but whatever right? He did his best to keep the crate of cursed gold in his sight, just in case, but that definitely interfered with his aim and Machete Max easily dodged his claws.
  8. Despite the fact that he was still bleeding from the wound inflicted by the shadow spear and that his claws had for now failed to break through the Worm defense, Luke could still find the will to smile as he saw Shift shrugging off the villain sinister influence and the rest of the gang whittling down the swarm of mind controlled cultists. Perhaps they haven't been a team in a while, but the Guardians were back baby! He could not hold the good mood for long however as Leon and Chaz's words brought him back to reality, to Sebastian, the man who had kidnapped the woman he loved and invaded her mind. It was his fault wasn't it? All his fault. For a brief moment he regretted shielding him fro Muirne's revenge... Yet... Being a hero was a matter of trying to make the right choice wasn't it? Whatever. If Cas was the cause of all of this he had to find a way to make him stop, willingly or otherwise. With a powerful roar, one that managed to overshadow even the cacophony of the fight, Nightscale broke free from the cultist's swarming masses and charged toward the telepath, his eyes burning with rage. His claws reached for Cas, perhaps caught off-guard by the sudden assault, before he could slip away. He squeezed him in his grip, albeit not tightly enough to break bones (assuming it was possible to even do so, given the bond between Cas and the Worm) and took his quarry close enough to his fangs that Sebastian could feel the dragon burning breath on his flesh. "I don't know what you freakin' worm have done... What you were trying to do. But you are going to stop this mess... Now. Or I will forget I have a code, just this once..."
  9. I think that Nightscale is gonna blast more zombies if he can avoid hurting anyone who is actually alive. If he can't he will just go punching Machete Max with a mediocre 16... If that hit the save DC is 24, he is also gonna grapple the mobster with Improved Grab and a roll of 42 (ofc the 19 is on the second roll)
  10. "Indeed we are no threat to anyone morals..." Luke smiled mischievously echoing Owain. "... Not at all..." Somehow his voice didn't sound that convincing though. "And what about you man? I mean... you're here to party as well, or were you keeping an eye on your sister?" He added shortly thereafter. He kinda could understand if that was the case, after all he did check on his younger brother from time to time, but then again, while Gabriel was a smart kid, he did not have superpowers and he was much younger than Alice. Although, to be honest, he wasn't really sure that his big brother instinct would go away anytime soon...
  11. "Oh definitely." Luke chuckled, in truth he didn't expect things to go smoothly at Claremont, things when teenage superheroes rarely were, but then again, he and Leon had survived somehow unscathed so... The young man just grinned, not adding further fuel to the fire. "Yeah... like... a hundred times..." Luke gave a playful nudge on his friend shoulder, as he mentioned his exploit at the prom. Not unlike his friend, Luke hooked arms with Bernadette on the other side and playfully, escorted their 'prisoner' out of the room. "Let's go party! People!" He shouted enthusiastically again.
  12. First Reflex save: 7... Second save is 15, but for some reason I just added +5 to the save, but Luke dragon form has +6 to reflexes for a total of 16. After Leon's words he will also try to figure out if he can somehow interrupt the spell on Casanova he doesn't have much on Arcane lore and only rolls 14, but if Master Plan applies that's a 17? Perhaps he figures out something? Unless he got some kind of revelation he is gonna do the following: He will try to Startle (the intimidate version of feint) Casanova as a move Action, he has Fast Startle to roll without the -5. The roll is only 20 or 23 if Master plan works... and I even forgot that he has skill mastery so he should have gotten an automatic 27 if it's fine for you... Then he is gonna try to grab Cas with a 29 to hit, already including Master Plan, he won't try to hurt him, just to grab him for now (grapple check - > 42).

  15. While Luke could sense a bit of awkwardness radiating from his robotic friend, he mostly connected it to the sudden reunion and his some-times excessive enthusiasm. "Where have you been all this time by the way?" He asked moments later. At first Luke had relaxed seeing how the conversation between Ghule and Chaz had unfolded, she seemed alright after all, plus she had faught valiantly against the Conqueror Workm and his lackey anyway. "Yeah would be cool to have you by our side... Welcome to the freakin' team..." He smiled warmly and offered her a decise handshake. The appearance of his girl certainly did bring a smile to his face. "Hey... Come here you..." He saluted her with a smile. "I was just finished dispensing hugs, but I think I got one more in me...." He grinned ear to ear. The tune of the scene though changed fast when Leon got involved. Luke uneasily shifted the balance on his feet as he watched the situation unfold. "He does have a point, though..." He nodded when his room-mate spoke. "Chaz... Look. You didn't need to share the entire mission with us, but you could have told us something... " He continued, without anymosity in his voice. "I mean we could have helped if you were in trouble, the both of you..." He added, his gaze shifting towar Shift. In truth, he kinda could understand them, the life of a superhero was not an esy one and, while he hated doing so, he had found himself having to lie to his little brother about his escapades to help keep him out of troubles. Whatever. "You two did score a point or two, though, I can give you that, when you found a certain someone I love and helped kicking the asses of those those two worms..." He 'concede' playfully. "The one with the capital 'W' and the piece of- telepath as well..." "I am in, of course..." He nodded at Chaz offer echoeing Bernie. "I mean... as a Guardian... That's not in question..." "As for this place, it looks f-ing dope, but... I dunno... If that's part of the whole HQ deal, I am not sure I can move in full time... I mean... our landlord had just barely began to tolerate us... I don't wanna break her heart." He joked, although it wasn't hard to guess what might motivate his decision (although there were also definitely perks in having his own place now that his girlfriend was back in town as well...). "What do you think man?" He added, shifting his attention to Leon.
  16. When Luke next opened his eyes all he found was the blinding rays of the morning sun, he tried to move his hands to shield them, but he quickly realized that he his arms were struck, chained behind his back to a solid looking metal pole. The only thing he could see when he finally forced himself to face the sun, was the arid vegetation that hat dotted their path during the past day of navigation, the traks of the Imapala were visible on top of a small sandy hill above them. As for their things they were, of course, gone. Car, money, watches, Ids, phones, bags... all lost. Although Ivy, assuming that it was her real name of course, had at least mercifully left them their underwear, she had taken care to clean them up of everything else. Despite his throat being very much dry and his head slightly spinning, the young man still managed to erupt in an impressive tirade of curses (of which, the Southside born kid had a massive repertoire). One that was definitely loud enough to shake the what drowsyness was left in his similarly restrained friend, who was tightly secured against the pole, albeit with one of the bindings going around his paper arm. "You know... I kinda expected for something like this to happen... After we hit Vegas though..." He sighed, when he felt that his friend had recovered his wits. "We are speed running it..." He chuckled dryily. The young man tensed his muscles and tested the bindings again, although the chains would be difficult to escape even for a fit human, they were not really meant to shackle a dragon, albeit it would take some effort to break them. "Come on..." The young man struggled for a bit, grunting as finally the metal gave away, liberating his arms... "Need help by your side?" He offered. ... A few moments later, Luke was nevrvously pacing in the small depression between sandy hills that they have been uncermoniously dumped. "I'm gonna f- ing teach that venomous snake that you don't steal from a dragon..." He grumbled. "I can find our stuff in no time..." He continued, angrily, as he kept planning his revenge. As his friend spoke, Leon's attention was however briefly attracted to a folded sheet of paper that had been left just a few feet from their position. While blank on one side, the other revealed two rough sketches, young men with very familiar features. With a "WANTED" written above in capital letters. Below the illustration, in a smaller font it was later explained that the two dangerous criminals depicted them had just robbed the locally renowned Nacho's Nirvana's diner and that they were dangerous to be approached with care... "Great..." Luke remarked again. As the boys inspected the document something strange happened, as new words began to appear, of some kind of chemical ink. "Thank you boys... I am sorry, but I needed some extra cash, I am sure you'd understand. Besides, it's funny that fate had placed the two of you on my path, you couldn't recognize me, of course, but me and my brother remember our last encounter very well... With Love..." It was signed just with a mark of a kiss. The words remained in front of them for a few minutes, but then they quickly seemed to evaporate under the sun, leaving no trace that they had ever been there.
  17. "It's not the size that matters..." Luke replied playfully, although he winced shortly thereafter as he found himself wondering if he had actually plaied himself... To be honest, he wasn't worried about getting hit too much, after all he has always been quick on his feet. Actually managing to shoot someone though... "Well, there is more of us though..." He mused, shortly thereafter. Four versus three didn't sound chivalrous to him after all. "Aaww... Bragging rights are good man, but a bet could have been fun..." He grinned. The young man shook his head and sighed as he saw the little exchange between his Leon and Chaz. His expression though brithened considerably when his girlfriend literally appeared on the scene. "Hey..." "We shall see..." His gaze shifting to meet Muirne with a playful light in his eyes.
  18. "Not if we have something to say about that..." Luke remarked. Were they getting involved in a gang war? Yep... It would have felt almost nostalgic if his experiences as a young gangster hadn't ended so badly. He jumped past the confrontation ahead, using echoes of his wings to ease the flight and deposited the gold somewhere 'safe' as much as it was possible at least. "Stay put, will you?" He told to the seemingly inert mass of cursed metal. Then he recalled his magic, feeling a moment of trepidation as he imagined a mass of angry molten slag emerging from the box to assault him, but fortunately, at least from now, the gold staied quiet. He inhaled sharply, feeling the heat raising into his chest golden glow radiating from his inner furnace before he exhaled a cone of of fire on the undead hordes. "Extra crispy..." He grinned. 'Weak...'
  19. Nightscale is gonna find a place where he can leave the container with the gold that is not on the ship (and far enough from the fighting) and then he will drop the spell, then if the gold doesn't jump him, he will spend an hero point to breath fire on as many of the zombie as he can without hurting the mobsters (and if they are not standing on stuff that is flammable). Damage 9 (Extras: Area [Type: General; Shape: Cone; Size: 180ft with area 1], Secondary Effect; Flaws: Action [Full], Feats: Progression [Area 1]) If he can't find any target with the breath of fire, he will still leave the gold, but he won't drop the spell, instead he will take a second move action to reach Machete Max and punch him in the face. Strength Attack (Extras: Autofire 1 [9 ranks] ) - > 23 to hit.
  20. For once working at the mall has proven not to be that bad for Luke that had been able to reach the Crossfire as soon as his shift was over. Sure he was still wearing the festive red boardshorts that he used at work, not exactly great as a camouflage, but whatever... Not unlike his friends he had donned the laser tag vest on top of his athletic T-shirt and he was now balancing the fake futuristic looking machine gun in his hands. Now admittedly the nineteen years old wasn't an amazing shot by any stretch of the imagination (and even when playing games his little 'bro tended to own him), he did prefer to go up close and personal with his quarries after all, but that didn't mean he was not gonna have some fun anyway. "F-ing Neat. Good find by the way." He grinned at Bernadette, as he surveyed the arena. "Hey we should build one of these..." He added, this time addressing Chaz. "Feeling lucky that technically I'm not one of those..." He teased. "Girls versus Boys and Robots is fine for me..." He nodded at Ghule's suggestion. Grinning confidently. "Anyway are you people ready to get your asses kicked!" He shouted enthusiastically.
  21. When Luke arrived at the scene above deck, he would have facepalmed, but then again his hands were busy carrying the makeshift container for a bunch of irate gold so... The best he could do was sigh as a scene straight from a Michael Jackson movie video manifested in front of him. "Zombies... Great..." He groaned. Plus, a guy called "Machete Max" definitely wasn't good news. "Yeah..." He nodded at Chimera suggestion. "I'll bring it out of the ship first.." Admittedly cooking the undeads with dragonfire was tempting though, but he wasn't sure if dropping the concentration on his spell while still on the vessel was gonna be a smart idea. "Hopefully it'll stay calm... Otherwise... Claws will have to do... " He added before scanning the area for a nearby building where he could deposit the container as Chimera did her thing.
  22. Another day of Charlie being back, another strange invitation... I guess I'm gonna get accustomed to this. At least this time it was much less ominous than the note he had found leading to that damned warehouse. Whatever. The place was just a short jog away from home anyway, well, one that would have probably be taxing for a human, but then again he was not. Despite still being winter time, the young man had paid little attention to the weather and he was in fact clad, as usual with sweatpants, athletic t-shirt and a baseball cap. The mansion admittedly came a bit of a surprise. It could probably fit the entire area of the trailer park he grew up within inside, couldn't it? "Whoa. Chaz, I didn't know you were so freakin' loaded." Luke smiled warmly as he saluted his friend with an energetic pat on the back. "Ladies..." He bowed his head to Bernie and Ghule. "You're a sight for sore eyes." The sudden appearance of Shift did manage to startle him a bit though. I should have figured out that Chaz wasn't a snowman kind of guy. "Hey..." He protested, but the wide and warm smile on his lips suggested that he was far from offended. "Sure I'd love a tour... But first I need to do something important..." He grinned and than leaned in and gave Shift one of his trademarked bear hug. "Didn't have the time for this at the warehouse..." "I missed you, you know... I... Couldn't even find you with my... well instinct... I always know where my friends are, but It didn't work... You got me scared sick..." He added, the same happened with Muirne, although Chaz presence has still been there, even during his absence, the fellow hero didn't want to be found anyway. "And you too by the way..." He continued addressing Chaz... "You got a bear hug coming as well." He made it sound almost like if it was a threat.
  23. If it's fine Nightscale will interpose for Muirne against the attack of the crowd as well. I totally forgot about the +8 in total to hit btw... Not that it would have changed much, but I think if I did Nightscale would have gone for a -2 to hit and +2 to dagames.
  24. Still reeling from the spear that had managed to pierce his armor, Nightscale buckled against the weave of bodies suddenly being hurdled against his now massive form. He shrugged away a couple of assailants, trying not too hurt any of the Worm victims and stay coiled as if to keep protecting the woman he loved from the assault. He smiled when Shift engulfed the villain with living metal. "Great..." Let's see if he likes that... "You talk too much..." He remarked as the Conqueror Worm kept monologuing, his claws lashing at the restrained villain, whose undead hide, unfortunately was too tough to rend.
