  1. Nightscale has 20 Skill mastery on Notice. He is gonna try and use his emotion control power to calm the gold... So... Yeah... Emotion Control 9 (Feats: Mind Blank, Subtle) {20PP/24PP}
  2. "So we have angry gold now..." Luke ruffled the hair on the back of his neck again. Things were precipitating fast, the ship was sinking and the mobsters outside were at war. "Great..." He muttered as he heard the gunfire outside. "I can try to... calm it... perhaps?" He winced, he had in fact learned a spell that affected emotions in the past, but in truth he didn't really know if it was gonna work on some gold... Then again if it could feel anger... "Can you try and patch the hull up somehow?" He asked as he closed the distance between himself and the swirling mass of cursed metal. "If this doesn't work I'm gonna try and drag this thing away..." He added, although he was still far from certain about how to do so. His eyes glowed faintly of golden light as he tried to focus his magic on a sense of calm to infuse into the spellbound metal. "Easy now..." He said, as if he was trying to calm an angry beast.
  3. Nightscale will wait for Chimera to reply before I post IC I think. That said he might try to grab the gold and see if he can move it away from the floor of the ship (although catching a fluid might not be super easy hehe).
  4. The trio chatted amiably on the way home, with Ivy flirting playfully with one first and than the other, seemingly content in just teasing the two and sharing very little of herself. Apparently she had just broken up with a boyfriend for which she had no kind words and that, as far as she was concerned was too jealous and clingy, but otherwise, they didn't have much else on her, although to Leon's expert eye it seemed like she has been glancing to rear-view mirror from time to time, giving it a worried look, like if she was worried of seeing someone appearing down the empty road. They had been riding for a while when Natalia's Nacho Nirvana appeared down the road, a family-friendly Mexican joint that despite being a roadside attraction and truck stop was much better kept compared to the dingy bar that the two had visited not long before. At that time of the day there was no other visitor, as the lack of parked vehicles outside revealed, but nonetheless, the staff was friendly and welcoming and their order quickly arrived. They have been talking about sweet nothing, when the two suddenly started to feel drowsy... OOC - Did she succeed in putting the two to sleep or did Leon notice something maybe? Or perhaps he had, but Ivy still had managed to outsmart him? Feel free to expand on the scene\maybe describe the conversation as much as you like
  5. Luke was still contemplating what to do, clearly at a loss. "Maybe we can-" What if? Maybe he could use his dragonfire on the animated gold? It was in liquid form already though so yeah turning it incandescent wasn't gonna improve the situation much, worse so if the whole vessel caught fire. "We must gather it somehow..." He wondered if he could at least hold it in his claws. He didn't have much time to ponder as Chimera approached that thing and her strange metallic flesh seemingly consumed some of the gold. The flash of relief in his eyes when it seemed like it was working (and she wasn't being turned into gold herself or something) didn't last much however. Luke dashed to help her back on her feet, keeping an eye on the gold. "You alright? What the hell happened?" He asked as he took a few more steps toward the swirling mass.
  6. Luke smiled softly as Murine began to talk, quietly following the rhythm of the music and letting her lean against his chest if she wanted to. "A thousand years... and I thought I was the eldest..." He teased playfully. "A good teacher, your old man..." "F- I am sorry... I mean, I can barely imagine you felt." Indeed, separated from all her loved ones, with them much likely been dead and gone for centuries, himself, he certainly would not have taken it kindly. He tightened his embrace. "I owe one to those researchers though, I mean, for waking you up." "But you didn't... We didn't..." "Hey... It's ok." He smiled again. "I mean, for anything you want share, I'll be here, but I won't blame for any you might want to keep..." He shook his head. "Life of a super-hero ain't easy, you know?" "Doubly for one that is dating a dragon." He grinned, closing what little distance there was between them so that their lips could meet if she wanted to.
  7. Thanks Nightscale will use the moment of respite to shape-change (assuming there is enough space, otherwise I'll edit the move). I am not sure if he has to spend an HP to clear the daze or not, in case he has, he will do so.
  8. Luke's eyes pleaded for Muirne to stop one last time, but alas it was for naught. He could see the suffering in the gaze of the woman he loved and, truth to be told, the young man hated Cas even more for what he had done. And yet... He could not allow her to regret this for all her life. At first he grasped to stop the offensive of the shadow spear, but Muirne was fast, too fast and slippery like a shadow, in the end there was little else he could do than shield the villain with his flesh. He grunted as the weapon forged in otherwordly darkness pierced through his skin, cutting through dragonscale like it was nothing. The violence of the impact stopped any momentum he might have had as the weapon embedded itself into his flank awing blood. He gritted his teeth and braced for the next strike, but none came, in fact, Muirne knelt on the ground. "Hey..." Luke muttered between breaths... "It's ok... I am ok..." He forced a smile. "Just... Don't-" He leaned closer, holding the wounded flank with his right arm. The ground seemed to shake under his feet. "What the f-" Green flames surrounded him as his blood hit the ground. A summoning of some kind. Adrenaline still pumping the young man stared at the newcomer. A villain of ages past and an undead one too boot. "Freakin' zombies..." He took a deep breath and clenched his fists. Closing his eyes, Luke called for his supernatural soul to come to the surface, obsidian scales melted on his flesh as he assumed his reptilian form, the monster, once fully formed, coiled around Muirne, as if to protect her with his frame.
  9. 17 Tou, ofc Luke's luck didn't last for long, while I wouldn't mind him getting roughed up a bit for Drama losing by 8 is a bit too much. HP: 28
  10. If he can he will try to hit 15... hero point it at 20 (the minimum he could roll with an hero point ofc...) if that hits his grapple check is going to be 35. If that is relevant somehow Luke claws have affect incorporeal.
  11. "Great..." Luke remarked drily, ruffling the hair on the back of his neck, as the blob simply ignored him and went back to crushing the ship. Now more efficiently than before. Good job Luke... "I can just make gold, not the other way around..." Which somehow had never struck him as particularly useful anyway, but then again, life always founds a way right? "We need to contain this...." Yep assuming there was something that could. He scanned the hull of the vessel for anything big enough for the mass of gold to fit in and possibly sufficiently tough as well.
  12. Luke sighed as he noticed that Bernadette's mood had darkened ever so slightly at the mention of Charlie, he could definitely sympathize, with Muirne having been gone for a while by now. "You are gonna miss that..." Luke teased, at the mention of school, after all he did have work in the morning now, although at his age, that didn't really mean much, especially these days that sleep didn't come easy to him anyway. "This place has a cool vibe, but... we already got the best part of the show..." He grinned. "Whatever you prefer..." "Let's. Go. Party!" He shouted enthusiastically a moment later, circling both Leon and Bernadette with his arms.
  13. "You do?" Luke gave his friend a puzzled (and vaguely worried) look. "A hustle, or a Hustle with the capital H?" He teased playfully, giving his friend a nudge before he had time to clarify that it was 'totally on the up and up'. They have been going for a while, when Luke noticed a slight commotion. There was a man in the crowd, clearly looking for someone, he was unfamiliar to him and yet, he wondered if he was after them. "Yeah... do you people know the guy?" He asked, unlike Owain, he avoided pointing at the man and instead he simply shifted his gaze toward him as discretely as he could.
  14. "Awesome." The young man smiled enthusiastically and offered Muirne his hand as they waltzed toward the dance floor. Obviously, despite having practiced, he was no match for the skill of his partner, but he still did his best to keep the pace. "F- I think I won't ever get tired watching you dance..." He grinned. "I am gonna have to follow your lead, though." He continued cheerfully. Seemingly at Velocity's request, the music slowed down not long after, Luke thanked their host quietly as he gently offered to hold Muirne in his arms. "Of course... " He nodded. The young man chuckled at the mention of Charlie and shook his head playfully. Although, the mention of the secret being known by researchers and officials in Englad had definitely sent a cold shiver running down his spine. This couldn't be anything good. Doesn't matter though. Whatever that was, he knew that they could manage. "I promise." He smiled softly. "A dragon knows how to keep a secret, you know? I'll hoard it right here..." He pointed at his heart, then leaned closer, so that, as they danced, she could whisper in his ears. His eyes shone briefly of gold as he used his magic to muffle the sound around them.
  15. "It's ok, you are safe now." Luke smiled softly as he held Muirne tight in his arms. For the young man the rest of the world had disappeared, there was just his girl and she needed him there. The young man could sense her tensing up against him. He clenched his fists, anger raising at the thought of the woman he loved being so hurt, her tears filling him with rage. In truth, he was tempted to join her in her cry for revenge, but he could not allow himself to. Not for shield, obviously the guy deserved all the punishment he got coming his way, but for her... "Hey..." He spoke softly. "He can't harm anyone anymore you... " He tensed his muscles, he hated the idea of having to fight against the woman he loved... He would not, in fact and yet, at the same time, he knew that if she made true of her words and killed Shield, she would never forgive herself and he could not allow that. "I know you are there... You can control this.... Just.... please... don't do this... I can't let you..."
  16. Nightscale is gonna ready an action, if Aoife intends to attack someone with the intention to harm he will try to interrupt with a grapple. He will also use Interpose. Will post in IC tomorrow (trying to sneak in some from work) I'm not feeling that great today.
  17. Nightscale - 24 Let the body hit the ground 3 Golden Dead - 3 Paper Trail to the City of Sin 2 Dream Chasing 5 The Young Guardians Return 3 Friends in the Fens 4 Holiday Cheers 4
  18. "Yeah awesome performance." Luke smiled as he saluted Bernadette. "I mean... almost a one woman show." He grinned. The young man chuckled at his flat-mate jokes. "Yep. We thought you would be thirsty." He offered her the drink as well as a "Cheers..." And a clink of his own. "Wanna introduce us to the rest of the band?" He asked. "You people had anything else planned for the evening?"
  19. "Yeah me neither... Don't seem like the talky types either." Luke nodded. "It's that damned gold." He added, clenching his fists. Unfortunately it seemed like he had made things way worse with his spell. The least he could do though, is try to recall his magic and see if he could at least limit the damages. He let the spell go. And moved away from the group of zombies and toward the stairs leading out of the cargo hold. "Hey..." He shouted. "Do you want more of this." He continued as he used another spell this time to turn a piece of a nearby crate into gold as he tried to attract the attention of the mummies away from breaking the hull of the vessel.
  20. "Yeah, 'teerrifyiing'..." Luke shifted to a 'playfully scary' voice. "Or lovable, depending on who you ask." He grinned and playfully tickled Muirne. "But my bet is, that not much has changed on that front, we all have our own form of weird and the school is cool like that." The young man smiled fondly, in truth, his few years of Claremont had been full of so much precious memories that he had decided he was gonna treasure (or hoard much likely) forever. "Anyway... I am sure we are gonna have plenty occasions to meet on the field, I mean, my... terr- well turf...." he chuckled. "Is pretty close to Claremont." The young man felt a shiver run down his spine as a weird sense of uneasiness seemed to pervade him when the newcomer, another student, arrived. "Hey... Nice to meet you as well... L- Nightscale here." He forced himself to offer an handshake, albeit visibly with some effort to fight the strange sensation. The young man tensed up a little as he saw the shadow gathering around Muirne, but he quickly relaxed when things seemed to get back under control. "Uh ok..." He nodded, with a slightly puzzled expression. "Is it something we can discuss over a dance?" He offered with a soft smile. "I have been practicing, you know?"
  21. Luke saluted the newcomers with a bright smile and, when appropriate an enthusiastic handshake. "Yeah... It was f-" Language Luke. "I mean messed up. It's great to see you fine though... I mean..." He continued, joining Murine in her relief about the situation concluding for the best. "Merry Christmas, by the way. To you both... Hey... Nice to meet you..." He smiled softly at the toddler. "Luke here, aka Nightscale, friendly resident dragon" He introduced himself playfully. "First year at Claremont, right? How are things going there now that I have left?" He asked. "I mean, my bet is that it's much safer, but..." He teased, a smirk on his lips.
  22. Luke saluted Bernadette and her band with few powerful "Wohooos...." "Why not both?" The nineteen-years old chuckled turning toward his flat-mate. "I mean... We can grab a drink for the lead singer as well." He added playfully shortly thereafter. "You know what kind of poison she's havin'?" Fetching a drink was perhaps a bit slower than Luke had planned, crowded club after all in-between acts. But then again, once they were done a visit to the backstage was in order...
  23. "Definitely... you just need to ask." Luke smiled at Owain. "Plus I mean... one of us here has actual wings... can't get better..." He chuckled. "Nah you'd be wasted wasted being a copper, you're too good for that." The young man objected, in truth, it was likely more of a prejudice on his part, still, despite being a superhero now, so in theory on the same side of the force, he had enough negative experience in his youth to color his perception. Luke gulped another round of home-made rum, this time without pyrotecnics, when the subject of their conversation shifted to making money. "If you have the chance go for it... I bet you'd do great." He smiled encouragingly at Alice. "Superhero stuff will get to you anyway..." God if he knew... it almost felt like most times he want out to just hang out some supervillain was just behind the corner. "I am just hustlin'" He replied, ruffling the hair on the back of his neck. "I wait tables at Tony's and I found a pretty good gig at the mall for Christmas." He continued, finishing his glass. "I mean it's a bit reavealing, but it pays well." "Plus I still got enough time for ... you know... Be Nightscale and all..." Yep and seeing his girlfriend, his family, his friends, admittedly he had sacrificed plenty of sleep recently, but in truth, he didn't really mind being busy. "Not gonna be forever though..." Yet, it was not like he was swimming in job opportunities at the moment. "I am gonna apply at Claremont too... I mean, Coach definitely need some helps, with you poeple..." He grinned at Owain and Neko playfully.
