  1. Of course Pan had seen it as a challenge. A brand new student, one that didn't seem like she wanted friends, and with an argumentative attitude too? Pan was not just going to befriend her, he was going to get to know her, he was going to eat lunch with her and share his snacks with her! He was all smiles, all the time, much like usual. He would win her over, somehow, either together with Leroy or on his own, but he would do it. New friends were great, after all, and no one should be alone in a new place, even if it at times had seemed like Dana wanted to be. "Good morning, everyone!" Pan flew down from above to the assembled group. Of course he did, why should he ever walk, if he could fly? He had a clear plastic bag with apple slices in them. Dana really seemed to like those, for some reason, so of course he had brought them. He held the opened bag out to the others with a smile. "Want one?"
  2. Mind Control roll: 1d20+10 = 15 Sgt. Shark is mind controlled! And Asad and Sea Devil are suddenly looking mighty tasty! Supercape, I'll deny the immediate new Will Save by Invoking Sgt. Shark's Bloodlust complication, so you get a HP. Feel free to attack as you want! Sgt. Shark is compelled to attack the others to keep them away from the light. And let's go with the previous init rolls, to avoid rolling again already. 24 - Sgt. Shark - 2 HP - Undamaged 15 - Asad - 3 HP - Undamaged 13 - Sea Devil - 1 HP - Undamaged
  3. Lady Horus sees nothing.
  4. If you knew what I knew. Yeah, Amber certainly sounded like she knew some things. Enough that Blowfish wanted her to keep her mouth shut, and if he had been in love with her at some point (or maybe just in lust, but Robin wasn't about to try and make any guesses there), then that was maybe why Amber was still breathing at all. "That's... kinda another reason that I'm here." Robin admitted. No point in lying here, even if Amber was scared of Blowfish. Or rather, maybe no sense if lying, because Amber was scared of Blowfish. Was this what it was like outside University Hill? Robin had seen so much already since she had first put on the Justice Driver. If this was what it was always like outside the safety of her home, then she needed to do more. Robin resolved herself in the shadows. Alright, then. "Me and a few others, we're trying to expose Blowfish. Get something on him that we can throw at him in public, force him into a conflict and stop him. So please, whatever you know, tell me. I promise I will help you, and I will stop Blowfish."
  5. GM Even through the diving gear and the heavy mask, Magh'kee could see that Stone was not himself. He was unnaturally still, even for another human. His eyes were red. Not just bloodshot, but red, like blood had swelled up in his eye balls. His pupils were all but invisible. Blood seemed to flow freely from his mouth, coloring his normally blonde beard. No, something was very clearly wrong. They were pulled out of the water as soon as the signal was given. Once on dry land, the other workers came flocking to them, quickly pulling the suit apart, trying to revive him. They worked fast, but to little help. He coughed once, spitting up blood. Rambled, shouting something about something amazing in Southside, then went silent. Blood ran from his eyes now too. --- Robin experienced something similar. For a brief second, the man revived, coughing up blood directly on her shirt, just before the paramedics arrived. They were quick to remove him, leaving her behind. Everyone else passed them by, leaving Robin behind with her bloodstained shirt. And the man's forgotten wallet at her feet.
  6. Justice Aw, no. People were staring, but Robin didn't really care. She hurried to the man. She didn't really have any medical training, but she couldn't just do nothing, could she now? As she kneeled by the man, Robin called out to the people around her. "Somebody call an ambulance already!" Some had taken their phones out, mostly to take pictures. At least one guy turned his phone around to start calling, while Robin tried helping. Press on the chest, mouth to mouth. Try and revive him, right? He wasn't breathing, he was completely still. Robin tried, she really did, but it didn't work. He was just... gone. She was still trying when the ambulance arrived, and Robin stepped back to let the professionals take over.

  8. GM She was all that and more. She was a dragon, she was a troll. She was a god, she was a witch. She was myth, she was legend. She was story given life. A mother of monsters, and a monster herself. For she was the Grendel's Mother. She continued her counting. She continued her stacking. The raven was silent, as it pointed to the alcove, its dark eyes resting on Lament, as he proceeded. Was it ally or was it foe? Would it help or would it hinder? At any rate, Lament followed its instructions. And yet, the path ahead was blocked by piles of gold and treasure. He would have to be careful, if he were to remain in hiding.
  9. Another Stealth check, this time vs. Grendel's Mother's notice. And Dex or anything else appropriate to avoid making noise with the treasure in your way!
  10. GM They were getting closer, now. They could all see it, and Sea Devil and Sgt. Shark could feel it. Like a drum at the back of their heads. They could see it up ahead. The remains of the drill that had breached the ocean floor to find the spaceship beneath. It was broken, in small pieces now, and from the hole came the most beautiful colors. They shifted, they changed. Blending from blue to purple to red to orange to yellow to green and back, and everything in between. The crack in the ocean floor was wide. The light seemed to seep out, flowing out of the water, upwards. The ocean life around the crack seemed unnaturally still, unmoving. And only Asad did not feel like, the drum at the back of the head.
  11. Sea Devil and Sgt. Shark: Will Saves, please!
  12. GM Lament moved with the stealth and grace of a cat! For on this night, he might as well be the prince of cats! Or so he thought, at least. The woman's shawl was black. The most pure black that Lament had ever seen, even greater than the darkness of the night. He could not see her face, but she sounded old. Not in the way that the Bog Wife had been. No, this was not ancient age, hidden behind young beauty. This was just ancient age. He could not see her face. It was hidden in the darkness of the shawl, draped around her body. Her hands moved as she hummed. The tune was lazy. It had little sense or melody. Just broken sounds, going where the old lady wished it to go. And her hands moved. A never ending movement, reaching for her golden coins. Stacking them before her, as high as they would go. Then, once finished, moving on to the next. A never ending task, but one she seemed to enjoy. Gold was not all that Lament would see in the cave. There were treasures of all kinds. Ancient armor and weapons. What appeared to be the remains of a viking ship. The bones of a great dragon. A great, dark chest of wonders, in the center of the cave.
  13. @Avenger Assembled Can I get a Notice check from Lady Horus?
  14. GM Doctor Thorne, Mr. Strix, Ronin & Wadjet The man stared slackjawed at Wadjet. For a brief second, it seemed like he was resisting, then he stopped, and answered. His voice was somewhat slow, though whether it was an affect of Mr. Strix's control or his usual manner of speaking was anyone's guess. "I'm not sure how many people are in here. We got at least thirty guards around. Got pulled in by the Snacktastic big bosses, they didn't want the workers ruining anything. I think most are outside. Just me and three others are still in here, just to keep an eye on things. I think Mike is down at the security booth. Keeping an eye on the cameras. Gotta keep an eye on the top floor. There's someone up there that we gotta guard, but I don't know what they are doing." Lady Horus It did not take Lady Horus long to get to Snacktastic, but she would not be able to see any of the others, as they had all entered the building by now. She would have to find her own way inside.
  15. Huh, no screaming or yelling. That was nice. Even if Robin could totally smell the alcohol on Amber's breath even from the short distance away. The way she was talking was a bit much. Robin was really not into the idea of kissing someone like this, so not that big a fan, she supposed. "Ah, that's... fine. Just wanted to make sure you're alright and everything." Mysterious voice in the shadows? Bit long a name, but hey, she could roll with that. "I saw a guy in the crowds tonight. I think he goes by Blowfish. I heard you two have some history, so I wanted to check up on you." Again, going for the long shot here. They had history, but what exactly were the current relationship? Robin guessed she was about to find out.
  16. "Here". Cassidy produced another of the dried leaves. Just one more left now, but so far, bringing them along had helped, at least a little bit. "I got no idea if it being dried changes anything, but you can use it for your test." He turned to the rubble of the temple. He didn't like the yellow stench. How did a smell even have a color in the first place? It made no damn sense. None of this made any damn sense. At any rate, they needed to clear this up. And he wanted to be sure that Setho was dead. Didn't want to get bitten by that snake at some point in the future, literally or not. He went to where the throne room stood before. The flowers had been growing here, so this was where they needed to work. He began moving the rubble away, searching for the flowers, Setho, and, if he happened upon them, the Lemurians that stabbed him in the back. Cassidy had no idea what had happened to them, even if he wouldn't feel particularly bad about it, if they had been smashed.
  17. Sneaky! You'll see an old woman, dressed in a shawl up ahead. There's several pillars and alcoves in the room, which is dominated by a large torch in the middle, with piles of gold all around it.
  18. GM Lament might not speak Raven, but the raven seemed to understand him. It cawed loudly, as Lament called out to it, then dove, flying into the cave ahead of him. It was silent, and it quickly disappeared into the darkness, but perhaps, the Giver of Grief would not be as alone in the cave as he had first thought. The cave was dark, but dry. It was warm inside, but not unbearably so. Still, he could feel it growing hotter, as he moved deeper into the cave. And as he moved further, he could hear a woman's voice, humming a melody, and see a golden, shimmering light. Like a torch being reflected in treasure, perhaps? At least, Lament was getting closer.
  19. Stealth roll at DC 25 if you wish to sneak up on the the singing woman.
  20. Grandmother once said to always bring hairpins. Guess I know why. The locks on the fire escape took a bit of work, but with a bit of tinkering, she managed to make it through, and slip out, hopefully with nobody any wiser. It really would be best if she wasn't spotted, especially by Blowfish and his crew. First thing she did once outside was ditch the fake beauty mark (safely hidden in her wallet) and put on her mask. Not a big thing, but better than nothing, right? So, she moved up the fire escape, until she found the window to the room that Amber and the rest of the band were staying in. Robin could see the booze being passed around. Great. So, she snuck in through the window, moved closer to Amber, and whispered. Hopefully, she wouldn't scream. Robin really hoped she wouldn't. "Hey, can we talk for a moment? I'm a big fan."
  21. Just trying to get close enough to Amber to whisper to her. Stealth roll: 1d20+2 = 21
  22. "Fair enough, I suppose." He didn't really blame Salvo for the reaction, given their prior major encounter, but still, it was harsh. Not that Sam really deserved anything else, given what he had done. "Thank you!" He appreaciated Selena's help, even if they couldn't manage much. He stayed by Sam's side, when Lulu started her next little visit to the mind of the would-be-summoner. Hopefully, she would not find any traces of the demon inside that could hurt her, but he still felt he should stay close. He didn't know anything about how her powers worked, really, so if he could do anything to help in case something happened, well, he could just as well stay close. "What kind of weapons?" He asked, genuinely curious. Were there rules to demons in this world, then? Salt, holy water? Things they had to abide by? They were creatures of darkness, were they not? He thought so, at least. "How well would a sword of light do?"
  23. Sounds good to me. A few follow up ideas for Dust Devil: - Trying to find out more about the Mesa, and his role. There's been some doubt sown in him, and he has realized that he need to find out more. - Abdul. Is he still up to no good? Alternatively, can be handled in tying up loose ends. - There's people living around the Mesa, like Mr. Sting. He need to figure out if there's any that's up to no good.
