  5. Dragonid nodded "I will see this through, find the traitors and save the alliance. You should continue to maintain order and see to the needs of the survivors. You serve your people well, you deserve your their respect." "I will attempt to extract information from Vohl. Then speak to the rest of these, if I have to." He did not know how he would get them to talk, but this was not a problem to be solved by fighting. Until it was time to deal with Mohnak at least. "If there are further attacks, let me know."
  6. Dragonid swooped down behind Paradigm and deposited Kharag on the plateau. He bared his fangs at the pirates scrambling to respond to the Praetorians' arrival, then focused on the weapon emplacements, still the primary threat. The saurian warrior squared his shoulders and took a deep breath, stoking the flames before spitting out a large ball of flame, streaking across the plateau to burst against the heavy weapons platform. Steel melted and supports creeked, but it held together. Dragonid snorted, maybe built a little better than he thought.
  7. We'll drop in with Paradigm, since Seresk has already taken care of one of his.
  8. "Maybe he didn't like your statue." Charlie smiled. "But I wouldn't worry, it's an interesting piece of the city's history. Look how many people came out to see the time capsule. Can't have just been me that was there because of the story about the Garrote." He looked at the unmasked Garrote, and then at the mask. "I've got a feeling that there's more to this mask than meets the eye, though. Someone went to a lot of trouble to steal it from the capsule, and then broke in to take it from police custody. Wasn't till then that the killings started. Let's call the police and get this guy down to the precinct as quick as possible, before he wakes up."
  9. Going to drop to a plateau, let Kharag down and spit a burst of fire at a weapon emplacement. Fire Breath: Attack Roll: 1d20+8 18 DC27
  10. "I do not think Mohnak is alone in being unhappy with your rule and this alliance." Dragonid said, "The traitor may be spreading discontent among your people to help his plans." "Mohnak had a friend, Vohl, who seemed more reasonable. Still unhappy with the Delaztri, but he might talk, tell us who has been filling Mohnak's head with these thoughts. We may find at least some of the traitors without needing mental probes." Dragonid did not like the idea of going back to talk to the disgruntled Za'aki, but it might be their best lead.
  11. Dodging past the antibody that attacked him, Charlie called over to Foreshadow. "I got these!" he said confidently, swinging his whip in a circle over his head before bringing it down in an arc, snapping back the head of first one, then a second Communion soldier. Both antibodies collapsed in a heap. Charlie grinned, impressed with himself. But when he looked around, he saw the results of the strafing runs and the dogfights up in the skies. <The Colonel said twelve minutes to start getting some Uni-storm in the air? Amazing how much longer that sounds now.>
  12. Attacking the last one near CL with a take 10, DC21. If that works, move to support Foreshadow.
  13. Smoke curled from the dragon-man's mouth as he walked, flames hot and at the ready. Dragonid tried to stand tall with confidence, but he walked swiftly, and glanced around nervously, trying to catch a glimpse of what Wraith had reported. At least, when they did come, everyone would know it, the Communion did not come slow or quietly. "If it comes to a fight, we are ready. These things deserve to be destroyed, they will not stand against us." Better for something to happen, than to worry and wait for the attack to come.
  14. Charlie turned to look at Bittman. He had suspected the musuem owner had something to do with the Garrote, but he seemed genuinely surprised to have seen the killer in his museum. Had Charlie just lucked out and found the Garrote's next target on a hunch? Or was there still more going on with Bittman? "If it was just you in here, well I have to ask, do you know any reason he would have been coming after you? I know this all must be a lot to take in." He reached over to pull the hood off the masked figure, "Is he anybody you know, maybe?" he asked.
  15. Dragonid shook his head, "I am afraid I must remain involved. I learned something else from the assassin. The traitors spoke of a new race for the Technoassassin League to transform in to these cyborg killers. They mentioned my people by name." He curled his lip in disgust, "I did not leave my homeworld on good terms, but I can not stand by and allow them to be turned in to these monstrous things. For the sake of the galaxy if not their own. Helping you find your traitor will help me put and end to that." As an afterthought, he added "Besides, I challenged an uncooperative and very drunk Za'aki name Mohnak to a duel, I cannot leave until that is finished." he looked away embarrassed that it had come to that.
  16. Dragonid remained silent as Kharag continued his ritual, reminded that this investigation was begun by these deaths of innocents. When Kharag addressed him, he pulled out the record tablet. "I have learned much about this Technoassassin League that the cyborgs belonged to. The technician put allowed me to briefly touch the assassin's mind and see what hired it. It was arranged by a member of the Delaztri and one of your own. They planned to kill you and stop the Za'aki from joining the Empire." He pulled up the list of suspects he had compiled, "The Za'aki conspirator, of course, saw himself taking your place as King. I took the opportunity to visit the records department to try to place a name to the face I saw. It was only a brief glimpse, but I believe it was one of these. Would you suspect any of these as plotting against you?"
  17. Dragonid groaned a bit as he quickly realized how heavy Kharag was. This was not going to be as easy a trip as he first thought. While his arms strained from the weight, he aimed himself downward and turned the jetpack up to full blast. He shrugged aside a brief twinge of worry that the extra weight would be too much when he tried to slow for a landing. "This will be rough, but I do not want to be a target longer than we have to." he said to the Za'aki King as they plummeted toward the planet's surface, jinking and weaving to avoid incoming weapons fire.
  18. Ok, then I'll all out move to the ground and try to land near the entrance, taking some cover from the heavy weapons if possible. I can work on being a bigger distraction once I'm not weighed down.
  19. How long is it going to take to get to the surface? Is he going to be stuck in the air for a few rounds before he can drop off his passenger?

  21. "As capable as any in Freedom City." Charlie replied to the Garrote. Then, with another flourish of the whip, he wrapped the unconscious figure in the energy lash. He stood for a moment, looking at his defeated foe. He could hardly believe he'd done it. This time he'd not only foiled the villain's plan he'd actually captured him. "Today, victory is Coiled Lightning's!" he said with pride. Then, remembering he was not alone, he turned to look for Mr. Bittman. "I don't know what the Garrote was doing in the museum, but I'm glad I was able to stop him before he killed again. Are you ok? Was anyone else here who could have been hurt?"
  22. Coiled Lightning reeled backward from the claws of the anitbodies. He hissed at the sharp pain, but kept his focus. "That was close, but nothing that important. A little higher, though..." he thought as he brandished his whip at the remaining humanoids. Charlie saw one of the humanoids glance momentarily toward Foreshadow, and he stepped in to take advantage, slapping it in the back of the head with an electrical jolt and then spinning around to snap the whip in the second creatures chest. While the first toppled to the ground beind him, Charlie faced off against the other, apparently uninjured by the lightning-whip. "3 down here. How many more million do you think are up there?"
  23. Will take a 10 to try to take these out. 18 to hit and DC 21, starting with the one Foreshadow left flatfooted.
  24. Dragonid stepped out of the ship and immediately was struck by the silence. No living things, no people, just cold metal. He had come to expect it while on a spaceship or space station. But it was jarring on the surface of a planet. He looked around the area for movement, seeking any sign of active Communion. He expected the hordes of mindless drones to jump out at any moment. They were out there, he knew, ready to overrun them. "Let us find what we came here for, then. The faster the better." He hung back to watch the rear.
