The Emerald Cities straddle the Columbia River west of the Astoria-Megler Bridge.

 

Emerald City, Washington has miners and farmers in Island View, volcanic Mount Forge, and rapidly growing Bridgepoint - the home of the brand-new Archetech West complex. Emerald City, Oregon has tech centers like the MarsTech facility north of the Elysian Forest and the Emerald City University campus on University Hill.
