  1. Thanks Supercape! Glow has +5 in knowledge (current events) so along with this fantastic roll of 7 she manages a 12! Hooray!
  2. Glow tries to be less surprised than Heraldo but more surprised than Warp: Initiative: 9 Success!
  3. Thanks for awesome thready goodness Supercape! I'm ready for more El Sierpe pretty much whenever it suits you. I'm also happy for Glow (and maybe Heraldo too if Ari is keen) to be named as wanted criminals in Mexico although I still doubt El Sierpe could provide significant evidence. Who needs evidence anyway? It's plenty comic-y enough to have people believing the bad guy! I can already imagine the Jackson-gloating poor Glow is going to have to endure! :D
  4. Toughness save: 12. Which is a bit bad. We better try that again: 12 again! Invisible Castle wants Glow to have a headache! 'Course that makes 22 on a reroll so a bruise it is! I think I'm up next, so it's revenge against Rapids (hopefully)! Attack roll (+2 attack, -2 DC): 16. I assume that misses a speedster?
  5. "We could get a whole group and go," Kristin said with a smile, then pulled up in mid-air as she spotted El Sierpe's unfortunate landing place. "There he is. Can you see Meddows? Or hear him? We should make sure he finds El Sierpe before we get down there so he can do his own arresting thing." She reached down and pulled the radio off her belt. "Captain Meddows, are you there?" she asked. "El Sierpe is down just north of the border. We might have caught him just south of the border but he tried to shoot me and then somehow ended up on our side again during the fight. Complete coincidence of course." She grinned over at Heraldo again. "We have eyes on him, Heraldo can give you directions."
  6. Glow felt the unbelievably fast onslaught almost as a single blow against her barriers, but they held firm and kept her unharmed as the speedster dashed back off down the corridor. Standing amidst the cloud of water vapor left in her wake the telekinetic reset her feet and turned her gaze on Marduk once more. The battered villain was lifted off the ground as her powers gathered him up then sent spinning back to the floor as she landed the mental equivalent of a right hook to his jaw. With the first threat dealt with she looked for Rapids once more and prepared to intercept the super fast woman if she looked like assaulting Warp instead.
  7. First up, Ari did Heraldo just ask Glow on a date? He can't do that, she already told Jennifer that nobody ever asked her on a date before (6 months later!)... timelines are complicated! 1) I like the double date thread idea. If you didn't want to make a 4 person thread we could start it as a chatty social thread and then split off into two teams of two when someone messes it up? 2) I would like devil doctor to make a comeback! 3) I'm definitely for El Sierpe getting out of jail at some point. We are already 6 months after the events of the Serpent and the Devil though so I'm guessing he's served some time at least. I was thinking we could maybe do a devil doctor thread and then have El Sierpe come back after that? Or I guess he could get out now and we can have both of them in one thread! 4) I'm not sure he could have managed to get video evidence very well, he was fleeing for his freedom after all and I don't think it would be very easy to edit the roughly 10-second fight that convincingly. Of course El Sierpe has bucketloads of money so likely he wouldn't need evidence if he's making with the bribes well enough. He could just give a bunch of money to some corrupt Mexican officials to have them declare Glow and Heraldo wanted criminals. Jack Jackson would probably be a very happy camper with a headline like that to play with!
  8. So Kristin's spending a HP to add 'affects insubstantial' to her force field and make it solid to Kimber so that she can deliver hugs. Hopefully that won't freak Kimber out too much, I'm sure she's not used to getting hugged.
  9. With the Curator ship safely lowered to the Arctic ice Glow knuckled her temples in an attempt to ease the nagging ache the effort of supporting such an enormous weight had caused, then swooped down to join the rest of her teammates as they entered the battered Sanctum. The foreboding silence in the room that housed Tronik and the wreckage wrought by the tentacles of the Curator vessel made her ill at ease, and she nearly jumped out of her skin as Kimber appeared seemingly from thin air. That Kimber carried - and then dropped - the lifeless form of Sharl took a moment to register, and the realization was like a dagger to her heart. "Oh no," she whispered almost inaudibly as she looked back and forth between the distraught ghost and their fallen friend. Tears welled in her eyes as she brushed past Mali and crossed the room and dropped to her knees next to the sobbing specter. The bright green light of her telekinetic barriers faded into a dim blue and became feather thin as she adjusted it into a form she had once seen Eve use. The concentration it required set off a fresh wave of headaches, but the young Australian gritted her teeth and brushed the discomfort aside as she reached out tentatively towards Kimber's shoulder. The adjusted barrier wouldn't have even been enough to stop a light breeze, but it was solid to the ghostly teen's usually intangible form and Kristin's hand met resistance as it touched her shoulder. A moment later Kimber found herself wrapped in a tight hug.
  10. While Heraldo called in the position of the battered gunmen, Glow set about destroying their weapons to ensure that they wouldn't be any threat to the police who came to pick them up. When she got to El Sierpe's magnificent looking weapon she picked it up, then ripped the firing pin out with a quick burst of telekinesis. "Here," she called to Heraldo as she tossed him the disabled weapon. "It'll make a sweet souvenir!" She made her way over and clapped her friend on the shoulder. "But no more of this 'I won't get in the way' thing alright? If you see a chance to smack the bad guy then smack him, I'm not going to complain!" She lifted herself into the air and turned to the north. "Let's go see if El Sierpe landed near Meddows or not, shall we?"
  11. Glow was mid-way through opening her mouth to suggest that she join Heraldo out in front when Errant interrupted and took off at a dead run. She paused and blinked in surprise, then shrugged at Arcturus and dashed off in pursuit. A quick telekinetic hop let her catch up to the telepath, and she matched stride to run alongside. "What's going on?" she asked as she glanced his way. "Obviously you can sense something we can't, is there trouble up ahead?"
  12. Glow swayed back away from El Sierpe's enraged punches as the man lunged at her. Though they were powerful she was quick enough to stay ahead of them, and the few that seemed closed to landing were brushed aside with wisps of telekinetic energy. As the assault played itself out she suddenly stepped forwards underneath the last punch and seized hold of the snake-like drug lord with her telekinesis. "Got bad news for you," she informed him with a grin as she lifted him clear off his feet. "You might have made it to Mexico, but you didn't make it far into Mexico." A moment later El Sierpe found himself hurtling northwards towards the United States, propelled by a powerful telekinetic throw. As the man disappeared over the hill just north of his chosen battleground Glow glanced over at Heraldo. "We can't arrest him because we trespassed into Mexico," she explained. "But Meddows didn't. So when he finds El Sierpe all beat up on our side of the border..."
  13. Glow's eyes flicked towards the corridor that the speedster had raced down and then back to Marduk as Warp's entropic bolt chewed away at his defenses. "You could still surrender," she mentioned with a raised eyebrow as she tightened her barriers around her in preparation for the inevitable fast-mover attack. "No? Fine then!" A second telekinetic punch lashed out at the embattled villain, and this one landed squarely in the center of his chest as well. As Marduk reeled back from the impact Glow glanced at the corridor again in anticipation.
  14. Glow let out a triumphant whoop as Papercut's cranes tore into the main computer of the ship, but the moment was short-lived as she felt the deck shudder and tilt to the side under her feet. "Get the bus out!" she yelled at her teammates as Wraith swept past at a remarkable clip considering that she had Mali and Koshiro in tow. "I'll give you time!" Two steps had the teenager in a full sprint towards the hole the Wonderbus had punched on the way in. Her third was a powerful jump off the wrecked torso of a robot and she wrapped herself in a cocoon of telekinetic energy at the height of the leap. Within moments she shot past her friends at full speed and blasted her way back out into the frigid Arctic air outside. She whirled in mid-air to face the Curator ship as it started to topple and slide towards a disastrous impact with the ice below. There was no time for thought, no time for doubts. That the mighty vessel was many times heavier than the largest thing she had ever lifted didn't matter in the slightest. With the lives of friends on the line Glow centered herself and reached deep into the power within herself, took a deep breath and turned it all loose. The skies above the sanctum lit up in a spectacular flare of fluorescent green that reflected almost painfully off the ice below and the clouds above. As she floated serenely at the center of it all Glow reached out and took hold of the falling craft. The hull groaned as she adjusted her mental grip to secure it then took the strain of the enormous dead-weight. Slowly the ship shuddered to a halt, then even rose slightly as the telekinetic sought to level it out so that her friends could make good their escape.
  15. Glow sez: 25k tons you say? I thought it was going to be heavy. Are we still in initiative order? Because I think Wraith and Mali and Robots would get a go before Glow if we are. In any case, what I'm planning is for her to fly outside, then stunt for carrying capacity. Her array is 30pp so she can stunt something like: Telekinesis 30 flaws: Distracting [30pp]. That would give her an effective strength of 150 and a carrying capacity that's up in the millions of tons. If that's all cool and we're out of initiative I'll do an IC post for stopping the crash from being too destructive.
  16. Well that sounds expensive. How much does one of these things weigh (And how much strength do you need to carry one)? And can Glow get outside to do her "I lift heavy things" thing quickly enough that it doesn't crash and break ice and sink the sanctum and stuff?
  17. Ouch then! Toughness save: 30. Because if Rapids can roll 20s so can I! Pretty sure that means Glow is up again, so she's going to just hammer Marduk again! Attack roll: 27. So DC24. It's tough being Marduk today.
  18. Geez Ari, waste the perfectly good set up why don't you? Okay, seeing as all the minions are down it's time to get El Sierpe arrested. By throwing him back over the border! Telekinesis grapple throw ho! Attack roll: 19 Which I think is probably good enough to hit. If not I might re-roll. Grapple check: 27 If she wins the grapple check she will throw El Sierpe in a northerly direction. I figure this would probably hurt him, but he took a full-on punch from Heraldo without too many ill-effects so he can take it. How far can Glow throw a fat super-villain? A fairly long way I guess? :D
  19. Glow was prepared for the enraged drug-lord's attack and although the shotgun was a powerful weapon the slug merely flattened itself against her defensive barrier several inches in front of her chest, then fell harmlessly at her feet. "Now it's self-defense!" she told the man with a grin as she burst into motion and El Sierpe's second shot missed wide as she launched herself into a dazzling sideways tumble. As the teenaged heroine regained her feet she thrust both hands out towards the armed men. The movement served as a focus for her telekinetic powers, and their signature green light reached out and wrapped itself around each of the weapons. A moment later she flung her hands wide and the guns were wrenched away from their owners and flung harmlessly aside.

  21. Glow emerged from the torrent of laser fire with several smoking scorch-marks on her costume and matching welts beneath. Despite the pain her injuries seemed minor, and she raised her arms again as she gathered her powers around her once more. The flood of robots was daunting and Mali's assault seemed to have stalled against the sheer numbers but Wraith's defiance and the unmatched destruction the shapeshifter wrought gave her heart. The shattered remains of the first wave of robots lifted off the deck as the telekinetic reached out with her powers, then launched them at the still functioning members of the horde. Robots fell as the maelstrom of spare parts crashed into their lines, but for each destroyed there seemed to be dozens more that still pressed the attack, and Glow growled in frustration as she braced herself in expectation of another volley of lasers.
  22. So because the robot swarm has good defense Glow is stunting off her telekinesis for a hand non-targeted area attack like so: Telekinesis 9 (Extras: Area [shapeable], Damaging, Feats: Progression (increase area), Flaws: action (full round)) The shapeable area of course would exclude her teammates. Sound about right?
  23. Okay, seeing as Marduk's being a smart-mouth he deserves a really solid punch in said mouth. So... Move action: Fast acrobatic bluff vs Marduk: 20 (doh) Standard action: If he doesn't beat the bluff add 2 power attack (and -2 attack roll to this attack), if he does beat it then it'll just be a normal attack! 13. Lame. Reroll: 11 + 10 = 21. So, if he doesn't beat the acrobatic bluff it's a DC 26, if he does, only a DC 24. .. Does any of that actually make sense? :?
  24. Glow has +10 Sense motive and skill mastery, so I think she can auto-pass that check? For her move action she's going to use her fast acrobatic feint against El Sierpe with set-up to transfer the benefits to Heraldo for punchings. Acrobatic bluff: 31 For her standard action she's going to bust out her area-TK power and try to disarm with it. No guns allowed! El Sierpe included if she can, but just the thugs if not! Attack roll: 21 (-4 for being a ranged attack = 17?) and disarm check: 27
